Damprye, I hate those nights....Its like they almost go into a feeding frenzy!
He drives me bonkers and then just suddenly falls asleep lol. He has been feeding every hour today. Time to feed him again and perhaps bottle top up if he still wont settle
Hope everyone has been doing well.
Damprye - I can only imagine how frustrating hourly feeds must be - I've had 2 hourly feeds for a day here or there, and it just about did my head in.
Curly - hope T and DH are better. Are you managing to look after yourself and stay healthy while looking after the family?
Art, Zap, Jess & Alish - hope you're all enjoying mummydom still.
Art - are your kids over the vom bug yet?
AFM - we had a party for DH this past weekend, as he turns 30 this Wednesday, and DD was such an angel. Let herself be passed around and cuddled and didn't cry once. Bless! DH goes back to work on Thursday, after 5 & 1/2 weeks off, so will be interesting to see how I cope with DD on my own. Waiting to hear from DH's work today as last week he was interviewed for a promotion. Fingers crossed!
I am off for another glucose tolerance test tomorrow (the 2 hour fasting one) to see if my GD has resolved itself. Wish me luck!
Took DD to get weighed last Friday, she clocked in at 4415g, so is just over 1.1kg heavier than her birth weight - an average gain of 220g a week. Not bad for 5 weeks, and only 6 BFs a day!
All over the spew bug thank goodness.
Just had a midwife visit, E is up to 4.9kg and 57cm at 4 weeks. I am sure she would have cracked the 5kg mark if not for the three days of chucking up all her feeds.
Just same old here.
Kimbles, good luck for the GTT. I was on a heap of insulin with DS and still came up roses afterwards so I am sure you will be fine.
Dampyre, that sounds adorable!!
DH got his promotion! Happy dances all round!!! :D
Woohoo! Congrats Kimbles :D
So glad the spew bug is over Art
I got a new sling/carrier and I love it :D
Hi everyone. Hope all is going well.
I can't believe that Erin is 6 weeks old tomorrow!! It has gone so quickly! Everything is going well here. She has fit into the family perfectly. Unlike the other two kids, she actually sleeps during the day! My others had dropped down to about 3 hours of sleep spread out in 20-40 minute naps by this age so it is amazing to me that I can put her in bed and not hear from her for anywhere from 1.5 - 3 hours. She wakes usually once at night around 2 or 3am and I just bring her into bed with us for a feed and a cuddle and she sleeps until morning.
On the down side, the sugar I was eating was upsetting her tummy and making her grumpy so I have stopped eating sugary yum food. It seemed to get worse over a few days until she was refluxing and gagging on spew/acid. Now she is fine, but noticeably cranky if I do eat something good. DS was the same. I am not too worried though, it is giving me a reason not to snack so hopefully I can shift some of this weight I have stacked on.
Ahhhh so sugar can be a tummy upsetter too? I have such a sweet tooth! I have noticed Alessio regurgitating so might give sugar a rest.
Hi ladies,
congrates kimbles:) thats awesome!
Damprye, how much did u pay for your sling? i have looked at three n just don't seem to be "the one".:)
Art, glad e is settling in, sugar? good to know im either pumped on that or coffee hehe.
Hi zap how is bub?
Atm T is sleeping away:) Such a little brave girl yesterday with her needles...two needles in legs and liquid. She is gaining weight and the lady saw her and thought she was alot older then 6 weeks, so she is going to be very tall.
Sooo I finally got weighed at the dr's......12 kg I gotta lose...boohoo no more cake...
Hope everyone is well.x
Art- That is awesome that she is sleeping through the day :) Maybe she has decided that you need a lil break even if that if filled by the older two lol.
Zap- Loving your new Av :D
Curly- I paid $40 for my carrier sling (my fav) but that was before the cost of materials went up and via pick up, now $50 plus $10 delivery anywhere in Australia (lady is in WA and makes them herself) and $75 for my bubba-moe sling. And I just seen your new sig :D I feel so honoured
Hi there! Thought I would pop in and see how everyone is doing.
Not a lot to report here. E is now 5.8kg and 62cm at 11 weeks. She is still a very easy and happy baby. She is a complete delight really - lots of smiles and chatter, loves playing with toys hanging from her bouncer, has been rolling from back to front for a couple of weeks which makes for very wriggly nappy times!
Hope everyone else is going well :)
Hi Art, it's been very quiet in here, I think we're all mostly chatting in our FB group, it's easier to access for some. Are you a member?
Glad your little one is going well. Caitlin isn't yet rolling or interested in swatting at toys, but sleeping through the night is still a pretty great trick really!
Hey girls,
Yeah think we chat on fb nowadays, so always find me there for a chat:) glad all bubs are happy n healthy. Talkn bout rolling Teala rolled out of her capsule that was on the coffee table onto the floor! Poor thing, I think she is ok just scared the help outta us too.
All the things to look forward too hey?
I'm not a member of the FB group, didn't know about it.
I'll try and add you now!
