Hello everyone, how are we all and the bubbas?
We are good here. A is teething complete with rosy red cheeks and drool. I can see and feel her two bottom teeth. She has been really good with it thankfully. We have an amber necklace around her wrist so I am not sure if that helped. When I had her weighed last week at her 12 week check she was 4800 grams which was almost double her birth weight. She still feeds well and we just love her more and more every day <3
We are good here though there is a cold going round the house. :(
Got Miss A weighed and measured yesterday at 14 weeks (and a few days)
6320 grams and 62cm long
Still feeding well (bf) tummy time I have figured out she likes being on breast feeding pillow I bought so that's good.
Smiling and talking (well making cute noises LOL) heaps and almost giggling. Smiles at herself in the mirror :)
Hope everyone else is well :-)
Hey! We're doing good :)
Sorry to hear you guys are sick Shadow.
Ahh teething.. I fear what is approaching LOL I've heard heaps about Amber teething beads but how do they actually work??
J is 2.5 months old and 7kg already :/ he is very long though, and slender. Has started hitting and reaching out for things, not rolled over yet though - when are they supposed to start doing that again? Moved the cot into our room as he is too big for bassinet. I want to sidecar it with one of the sides removed and pushed against our bed so we can cosleep but still have our own space if that makes sense. However DH doesn't want to.. I'm the one who gets up to DS through the night, very rare for DH to tend to him, so I've said we will try it for a little while and then see how its working. It's so much easier to just lean over and pat him back to sleep or pop his dummy back in, than to actually get up, turn on the light and make noise.
Well, he's just rolled over! Yay :D
Shadow-sorry to hear everyone is sick. It sounds like A is thriving :)
Lady Neon-yay for J rolling. I am not sure when they are officially supposed to. I think it's a few months but I think they all do things in their time. Side carring the cot sounds good. It would save getting up each time to replace a dummy or soothe and be great for closeness too :)
Hi ladies great to hear everyone is doing well
We are also doing ok G has her next injections this week not looking forward to that. Her teeth are visible through her gums lots of drooling and always a hand or toy in her mouth. We are settled into our own routine and I'm getting some time out now a few times a week when mum either comes over or I drop her off. When DH is around its a bonus
Thanks ladies :-)
I haven't caught it yet but my DD bought it home and DH currently has it and Miss A has a bit of a cough. I'm waiting to get it. It seems fairly mild. Mind you it seems to have hit DH worse than it hit my eldest DD. I've had a bit of a sore throat so give it a few days, and it will be my turn YAY (note sarcasm lol)
Miss A is dribbling heaps and forever putting her fingers in her mouth. Can't see any teeth, haven't looked in a few days though. Not sure about the amber necklaces, lots of people seem to swear by them but I dunno, I'm not convinced LOL.
Looking in Miss A's Health Record Book I'm guessing they should be rolling by 6 months (between 4 and 6 months generally) because in the list of questions for 6 month check up it says Does your baby roll over? Doesn't mention rolling for 4 month check up though.
Now if a certain young lady would wake for a feed, that would be superb as I seem to have sprung a leak.
Hey All, just a quick one.
LAdy N - Yeah for J rolling!
Terry - Glad that you're getting into a routine and that your mum is able to help you out and give you a break from time to time.
Shadow - Hope your family is all feeing better now.
:hello: to everyone else.
AFU - A is growing up WAY too quickly. She's 6.2kg now and 62cm. She rolls from her back to her belly in about two seconds flat, but can't be bothered to even try rolling the other way. She just calls out to me to come and turn her back over. She's a real miss have-a-chat too. Smiles and babbels away to anyone who will smile and talk to her :D
Miss A had her first mumsicle (breast milk Ice-block) today and she loved it :-) Mind you I'm not exactly sure how much she had half melted I think and a fair bit fell of the holder so threw it out. She liked the bit she did have though.
DH and DD are better Miss A and I have hardly had the cold so here's hoping :-)
Miss A doesn't even try to roll yet, but got a good giggle out of her today. and finally my oldest DD changed a nappy today. I had to supervise though and correct her but still........she finally did it.
I tried DS on a mumsicle yesterday. He wasn't super impressed. I Was really hoping as he refuses to drink any kind of milk and I worry about his calcium. :(
I need to make some hopefully they may help during the teething process G is sticking everything in her mouth and I can see her bottom two teeth just below her gums
hi girls, wow it seems like forever since Ive been on here. I had issues with my login & the reset e-mail got lost in my junk folder..... but I'm back now. apologies for wrong spelling & punctuation, I'm on DH pc & I'm not used to it. (usually on my phone or ipad, so used to autocorrect)
Kayden is now 6kgs! weighed him at mums the other day. also I'm half way back to my pre-baby#4 weight! Yay. Well must go, have to put washing on then bedtime.
Well I'm still here
Is everybody else? LOL
:birthday2:
end of the world....yeah right
Yep still here trying to catch up on some housework while G sleeps and hoping my last Christmas present parcel from Aus post arrives soon so I can shower and take G for a walk. Love that I can track my items and I know that it's on board with the driver.
Hope everyone else is doing well
Terry - can't remember if this has been posted in here or not, but have you thought about getting an amber teething necklace for G. Another thing I heard about for teething, but never tried because DS didn't have any issues (I put this down to the necklace) is to rub lemon juice on their gums. IT's suppose to help the tooth break through easier.
Shadow - Too funny. I atually read somewhere that the Myans are pretty ticked off about this whole doomsday thing. That their calandar ending is just the start of a new cycle for them, not the end of the world.
Hi All
So I got a laptop yesterday for my birthday and I'm trying to figure it out (slowly getting there) anyway it automatically turns on and boots up when I open the lid but I don't want it to. I want it so I have to press the power button to turn it on. It is a Toshiba p870. Anyone with a toshiba (any model) know how I do this? Set it so it does not automatically turn on when lid is opened up.
Had to ask them how I turn it off in store LOL no start button. Felt like one of them people who have never turned a computer on. Then I had to watch a video to learn how to close an "app" as they call them (window). no little x button in the top right corner, and esc don't close them.
thanks :-)
