Since I seem to have the first post, when I find the time, I'll go back through and find all our bubs names and dates of birth.

DDB - in regards to the bumbo, I wasn't going to use one at all. But DS never took to sitting. As in he was walking before he sat on his own (I think he'd have been able to sit if he had been inclined to try, but he had two speeds, moving and asleep and sitting didn't factor into either of those ) and he was DEFINITELY needing/wanting solids before he ever even looked like sitting so we used the bumbo at feed time. I'm completely anti walker though LOL.

We have a bumbo here for Arya. She's always wanting to sit and we can see her pushing her body forward trying to get upright when she's laying down but obviously she doesn't have the strength or coordination to do it yet. We've found that having her in the bumbo has helped her work out how to sit by a huge amount. We noticed even after the first time she sat in one. She's now managing to sit unassisted for a few seconds before she falls over and I think the bumbo has played a big part in that. It's also helping with her hand eye coordination too as we got one with a tray so I can put some if her toys and teething rings on the tray and she's working out how to grab them.

Mum2two-No I haven't had that yet. Ouchie, I won't look forward to that. How is C going?

Hi Dr Tal and Dee, new thread already hey.

All good here, I am having a lump removed tomorrow off my jaw so DH has taken the night off in case I need some help but I am sure we will be fine. We have our own little groove going on when daddy isn't around lol.
Amelia tried to sit up all the time lol so I think that will be our next milestone, she is welcome to take her time though.

Thor also loves to be in the sitting position. He's got great control of the top half of his trunk, just not the bottom half!

Question for everyone: I gave him a lick of the apple I was eating today - He hasn't had any solids yet, but it won't do him any harm to have a lick and get the flavour of various simple foods like that, will it? He laps at it, just like he did as a newborn with a cup of colostrum - it's quite different to the tongue pushing out like he does when he's had enough of his bottle.

    Ddb hope u recover quickly.

Little c is great. She projectile voms only twice a week now instead of everyday but her eczema is still bad
I feel sorry for the poor girl shes such a cheery little one but everyone always focuses on her eczema and not her cuteness. Like when we go shops and shes laughing to strangers all they can say is "aww the poor thibg must be so painful" instead of her totally cute smile!!!!

Polli not sure about that actually i do give little c some carrot sticks but thats for her teething

Unfort little c wont be able to fit in a bimbo coz she got thinder thighs

Well big c is starting big school next week so im going to have to put ip with a screaming baby in the car every morning and arvo coz little c hattttes the car seat and is always on the point of choking!!!!

Lol it took a while for me to find this thread..... When I touched on the link it took me to a totally different thread! (on Tapatalk with iPhone)

I haven't had pinching under the arms, but Kayden has been grabbing and pinching booby and/or clothes while feeding.

It doesn't hurt them to taste, lick, feel solids. Unless they have an allergy.

Pholi-I am sure a lick will not hurt It's just a taste.

Mum2two-It's good that little C's vomiting is improving. What a shame that people focus on her eczema instead of her gorgeous smile

Sorry Ladies been a while. Just never seem to have the time to come on any more. I "think" Miss A's head is fixing itself, rounding itself nicely, though still a bit flat but not as I don't reckon :-) We have decided against the bumbo as Miss A has quite chubby legs so wouldn't fit in it long, if at all now. Sounds like you Little C Mum2two

    Haven't had any pinching.
Miss A is a bit constipated lately, she is going but it been little pebbles, and was straining a lot yesterday and day before, went to chemist and got some drops. They seem to be working did a softish one today. She been having them in 1/4 strength pear juice.
I am also pretty sure she is now teething. Very irritable today and yesterday, chewing heaps and I fairly sure I seen 2 little toothy pegs under her gum, bottom front.....so hard to see, gotta be quick.

Well must sign off finish having quick look on FB then go to bed.

Hi DDB yes it is quiet I guess everyone is busy. I know I come in have a quick read and then get back out most of the time.

Can't believe Amelia already has two teeth out at least she's got the first lot out of the way quickly. G is still being tormented although they are getting closer to the surface so I don't think they are far off.

We are still eating a little each day I've now started giving her baby porridge she loves it so no more rice cereal a bit of fruit for lunch and veggies at dinner. She gets really excited when I put her in the high chair. I've also started to give her a bottle of formula during the day but hope to be able to continue BFing morning and night when I'm back at work

Hi Terry, happy 6 months to G for yesterday
I hope her teeth hurry up and are pain free. Nasty buggers they are. Thats awesome about solids, it would make it easier if she enjoys it. How are you finding her with the formula? A has one sometimes and tolerates it well.

AFU-long night here. Poor bubba was not happy.

Ah up bright and early... Yay! LOL

Sounds like all our bubba's are trying to sit up. DS wants to and hates being in any position that's not seated but he's too wobbly to sit alone. Probably not much point getting a bumbo now.

Mum2 ouch, mine pinches everywhere, I hear ya! And scratches, and yanks my hair.

    DDB how's you're jaw today?

Pholi I don't think licking food will hurt. I think that at this age solids just don't have any nutritional value. I was reading that today but can't remember where.

Shadow the fun begins! Not a stage I look forwarded to, to be honest.

    Hi Chrispe, and everyone else

AFU, all good here. DS has started to have really strong smelling wee, and had a bit of a fungal infection in his penis, bit that is almost cleared up thanks to Canesten. We are going away this weekend which I am looking forward to.
