I'm glad I'm not alone, thanks ladies. And love the bodysuit Raupe! Dd wasn't like this, she spent a lot longer feeding but then at this age would just sleep without much assistance between feeds! Tegam wow four times a night at four! Lucky bubs is a good sleeper for you then

So how is/was everyone's postpartum bleeding? Mine has been on and off again but last night I passed a huge clot and everything seems to have settled now. Fingers crossed

My bleeding finished up a week and a bit ago. And after pains were horrid! I've heard they do get worse with each baby, but I've only had the two to compare.

After pains almost killed me with number 3 and 4 then almost nothing with number 5.... Weird!

My bleeding was never heavy but it's constant, I reckon it will go past 6 weeks like last time and I'll need to do an u/s etc...

I've heard the pains get worse with each child! This time was worse but only lasted a few days, and it wasn't that bad still... something to look forward to if we go for #3?

    Babies Born ~ September 2014

My bleeding finished about a week ago. After pains were horrible this time!! And my 'bits' we're definitely more sore this time. Hoping my period stays away for 12 months like with the boys!

Not much after pains here but still bleeding on and off after 5 weeks. Getting a little nervous about it. Cattie, what happened with you? What are they looking for with the u/s?

Re: Babies Born ~ September 2014

I think the u/s was to check nothing was remaining there from the birth, not sure what exactly like a small piece of placenta maybe? If they do find something, they would do a d&c to clear it all out. But there was nothing there for me, my obs then put me on antibiotics to make sure it wasn't an infection. I think it was nothing really, just me...

Mine was heavy for about 10 days, almost disappeared, then comes back lightly every few days.
Are the after pains like period pains/mild contractions? If so, I never got them?! I read about them being nasty by #3 when I was pregnant, and then became worried about them! That's a lesson in everyone is different/what you read on the internet huh! The only real pain I've had post birth is from the constipation (other than the breastfeeding beginnings) but I think that is finally on track!

Alright, posting in here 'cause I don't trust FB. Milly is almost 7 weeks old. Just before, when I went to the loo, there was some blood on the toilet paper.
Light, but bright red. You can't seriously tell me I'm getting my period already?!? I stopped bleeding heavily 2 weeks after birth and had only very light bleeding/ browny discharge until 4 weeks after. So really I only had 3 weeks of total freedom. That doesn't seem right! Bubby is exclusively breastfed, she still feeds every 2 hours during the day and every 3 hours during the night. I feel cheated!

Raupe it could be just a random little bleed. I had a few like that here and there after DS1. Maybe see how it pans out?

Have you had sex recently? Could be something from that? Hope is not your period, that's just not fair! And not impossible either.

    Forgot to add:
Hubby wants another baby as soon as possible, I'd rather wait until bubs is at least one. So I was hoping my period would stay away for at least a year! Stupid body is plotting with dh against me!!

Also anything is possible. Not that your post was about conception but my mw conceived her second baby when her first was only 8 weeks old and she was exclusive breastfeeding on demand.

Which reminds me... must think about contraception.

    I sure hope so!

And noooo to the sex part! My bits are still not completely healed after my tears.... The stitched skin is still tight and tender and there is still a little hole that still needs to close cover.

Ahh I hope your body isn't listening to DH!

It might just be a random bleed. My fingers are crossed for you! Keep us posted :-)

My mw warned me about that! She said it is especially important for me to take care of contraception, as I fell pregnant on our first go.
I heard about women ovulating so soon, but I just never thought it would be me!
