Oh cool thanks Mel. I'm a bit excited to see if it helps. And prove to mum I'm not crazy for taking her haha.
Omg Scone I would have lost my sh*t at mum if she did that! Surely your mum has enough grandkids to know why you would go off at that. I think you reacted better than most would!
Kylz hugs hun. We would never judge you, do what's best for you. Xxx
Iona hope you and Luke feel better soon. X
-
Oh and kylz I can drive by wed/Thursday Woohoo!!!
-
Kylz:  you poor thing, you sound so stressed. Like the others said you have to do whats best for you, BF or FF who cares, J's getting his food, guarantee he doesn't really care where it comes from :) dont beat yourself up.
scone: thats crazy your mum did that! I would have been P.O.'d too. I've already started lecturing my mum because with my brothers kids she gave them chocolate and soft drink etc when they were young because she's 'the grandma'. ha that excuse ain't gonna fly with my kid woman LOL Maybe just have a sit down with her and gently tell her why you were so upset with her.
Iona: hope you don't get sick I swear something is going around lately. Looking forward to seeing little Jack :)
lou: oh im not ready for chase to be out of our room yet, i think i'd miss him LOL the only one who is really affected by him being there is DH cos when i BF at 3am he is still trying to sleep cos he has to wake up at 5am. I suppose i will have to look at moving Chase out soon :(
Im trying to remember who i missed, i swear baby brain is worse after you've given birth!
Meet up: ive got a meet up with some girls with their babies from school every wednesday so any other day would be good but if we have to make it wednesday ill just blow them off. I love you guys a little more :)
Ugh our 16 year old next door neighbour just keeps popping over to hang out with my husband. DH is 25 years old...if neighbour boy is looking for a new BFF he might have to look for someone closer to his own age LOL The thing thats annoying is that he knows we have a baby, half the time i run around half naked cos im BFing and just turning up on our doorstep is sooo not appreciated.
Chase slept from 10pm to 6am this morning, I guess we have a routine now. If i get him in bed between 8pm to 10pm he sleeps for 8 hours :) Id like to claim its cos of my awesome parenting skills but I seriously did nothing hahaha but im a very happy mumma
-
Faaaark we are having the worst night. Been crying/fussing/feeding/screaming for 6 hours straight. Go to effing sleep!!!!!!! Ok vent over.
-
EM - they have a growth spurt at 2 and 3 weeks of age so she could be in the middle of that?
-
Really? That must be it! Have finally tamed the beast lol. I think. Need sleep ella will be up at 5-6. Lucky DH has day off tomorrow he is on ella duty for as long as chloe sleeps for. I thought having one kid was hard! Don't know how u do it!!
-
Having a **** night here too. I don't know what to do for his wind other than give him IF.
DH seems to think burping him helps him fart as well..?
I know bicycle legs can help but not ideal when he is stiff and screaming.
I feel like Such a ***** mother :(
-
Well I'm raising such a ladylike little girl... She just gulped down her milk, belched, threw up because she ate too fast, farted so loud she scared herself, then grinned  She's lucky I love her :p
Sent from my iPhone so forgive the speelung misstacks ;)
-
Jaki - I used infacol with my kids, only one it didn't help was DD1 - then we found out she had silent reflux so all her symptoms were that, not wind! Now that's a bad mum - you are definitely not one xxx
EM - it's easier when they get older. I've always found the first 6 months are the hardest, after that it's pretty cruisy.
So my first day on my own today with all of them. This should be interesting! DD1 is awake with DH at the moment - my stupid frikkin cat woke her up. So ready for this cat to eff off and stop waking my bloody kids up! DD3 is feeding, DD2 and DS are still asleep next to me. So it's peaceful for the moment...

Ellasmummy: That sounds good, will use Nan H next. I just moved K into his room a few days ago too. I still bring him back to bed to feed him though and promptly place him back into bed. I think i was waking with every single sound before and he seems to sleep better now in his own room.. minus the last two nights. Your not alone with checking the breathing. I am SO grateful for my video monitor. I can lay in bed and still keep an eye on K. It has saved my sanity and getting out of bed at 1,2, 3 or 4.. several times. I think with that has happened in the last few weeks, it is completely normal! Good luck at Chiro! Hope that works! xx
Iona: Aw poor Luke! I hope you feel better soon chook and do not get it! Look forward to catching up with you and meeting the new little man in your life. xx
Kylz will give that a go if I need to change again, thanks chickie. Btw, your decision is the best for you and J, so congrats on making the decision! No one here will judge you, we love you too much. xx
Scone: hello! I would be that upset too. Clearly, she just had a moment of not thinking? xx
Mel, Chiro? First time I heard this.. Maybe I should do that with K.. Hmmmm. Lol about S in closet, sounds weird but I would do it in a sec.. Your cat sounds like he needs to spend some time outside... : ) Btw growth spurt? That would explain my **** night the last few nights... and the feeding every 2 hours!
Kitty: Maybe that is why your neighbour is stopping by... Maybe dh is just an excuse  Btw good on you with Chase! I believe it is your wonderful parenting! *Pat on back!! I agree baby brain seems to be MUCH worse after pregnancy!
Jaki: Ohhhh. Hugs! U ARE NOT a ****ed mom!! You are brilliant! Don't be so hard on yourself! Hope W is feeling better. Have your tried massaging his tummy with some lotion or oil? I don't know if K feels better when I do that or if it just distracts him but could be worth a go.. xx
Can I ask what infacal and infants friend is?
Afm: I have been feeding every 2 hours that last 36 hours.. Minus a few 4 hour periods. K seems to only cry when he is hungry... and when he is hungry he wants the bottle yesterday!! I am assuming that he is having a growth spurt. Here is hoping. I am so tired beyond belief.... but on a good front.. the last twelve hours has been good as this new formula SMA seems to be really agreeing with K.
I have an apt with a midwife for thursday, cannot wait have sooo many questions!!
Hope everyone is well. XX

Jak we were up til 3am so feel your pain. I rang mum and said shed been up from 6.30pm til 3am and all she said was babies her age shouldn't be up that long. NO SH*T. How much IF do you give W? We are giving c the full dose now, so .5ml, last night though aaaagggg. I had a milkshake and orange juice yesterday so one of them upset her belly too but don't know which. So now I can't have too much dairy, store fruit, dried fruit, onion, chocolate, sauces and juice.
LMP that monitor sounds awesome think I will have to invest in something similar.
Good luck today Mel!
-
Tams - sounds like k is having a growth spurt but I know jack has been going thru stages of either going 1 or 2 hrs between feeds
Kitty - yay on getting a routine at night good going chase
Jaki - If w is unsettled with wind, I use to put a wrap in the microwave for 30secs n then place on luke's belly on top of clothing n wrap Luke up and it would help settle him especially at nite
Kylz - hugs sweety. As soon as I know wat day my mw wants to see me will organize to come see u
Hi to everyone else
-
Hi all. Still feeling pretty crap so off for some retail therapy lol sure that just make it worse.
Lou - Ive been told NOT to have OJ. Apparently that makes them ill. I give J a 1/4 tsp of IF in a dummy medicator cause its so much easier than stupid dropper.
Iona - No worries Hun. Im happy to come to your place if you like. Easier with JM (Jack) cause JT (Jayden) likes to get out of the house as much as I do. Plus I have your linen still lol.
Jak - I feel your pain. J was such a pain last night. He just wont go down any earlier than 930. Ive started putting him down half asleep and he just grunts himself to sleep. He didnt want to go back down at 3am though which is the first time in a while he has done that..
Koby says hi to all and to let you know that she is doing ok. She doesnt feel up to popping in yet but wanted me to pass on a message.
-
Kylz: my theory is shopping makes everything better :) And for the info about OJ, will steer clear. Thats good to hear that Koby is doing ok, I still think about her daily.
Tams: Infacol relieves infant wind before painful colic can occur according to the box. I give him .2ml 5-20mins before feeding just in case I was worried about continuous use as I give it to him before every 2nd feed but my GP assured me prolonged use is ok. In my case its pre-emptive, if i don't use it he gets a belly ache. Neighbour boy doesn't really want to see the baby, he just wants to hang with DH *sigh* DH needs to stop being so approachable.
lou&tams: the clinic nurse I went to see told me that they have growth spurts every 3 weeks, so 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 9 weeks etc. So they will feed more often, Chase changes to wanting feeds every 1-2 hours and he fully deflates my boobs for about 2 days!!!
mel: good luck today :) ur a braver woman than I, one baby is hard enough for me, I still can't get any housework done
teni: Millie sounds like a perfect little lady ;) LOL my fav fart moments with Chase are when he is asleep in the middle of the night and then he wiggles and just lets out loud ones in his sleep LOL
jaki: you are a great mum, you are doing great. When Chase has a tummy ache I just hang him over my thigh while I am sitting down to try and rub/pat his back. My mum also reckons just massaging his belly clockwise helps but Chase hates me touching his belly :shakehead: The other thing I do is while sitting I pull my legs up into a hill shape then hang him so his head is over my knees and rub/pat his back. Don't know if either of the things I do are right but they seem to help Chase anyway :)
Won't be on the net from Friday to Monday this weekend, I have my BFF's wedding this weekend at Kingscliff and we are staying down there at Peppers Salt :) I'm really looking forward to it, my first holiday with Chase (sure DH is coming too but who cares about him LOL). I got my suck in my tummy undies I'm all good :)
Just put the boy down for a nap :) I'm free for about 2 hours!!!! woooo!!!
-
Hmm I had orange juice for the first time yesterday... I wonder...
I give 1/4 tsp also.
Iona thats interesting about the warm wrap! Do you know the theory behind that?
Thanx kitty I'll try him on his tummy also, he loves hanging over dh's tummy and it puts him to sleep.
Have fun shopping kylz.
Hi and thanx to everyone else :)
-
Jak - not sure on the theory but I do remember reading it somewhere back when Luke was this lil plus one of the mw's did it to jack one nite ge was unsettled n in pain
Kitty - enjoy ur weekend away with ur lil man n if course ur dh
Kylz - hope the retail therapy helped. Lol I'm the same rather b out n about then at home and let miss kobz know we love her
Can't remember anything else as on phone but saying hi to everyone
Afm - paying the price of having oj last night (was craving it) poor jack has a sore belly n the only thing that soothes him is sticking him on the boob....the silly things I do
-
Kylz: I hear you on the BF front. I'm still a little torn. I am giving the boys EBM and FF but I'm not too sure what I should do. I honestly can't see myself putting them back on booby. DH is one of those Breast is Best people so I think I'm only persevering with the expressing because of him and to avoid confrontation. Part of me also feels a bit guilty about wanting to take the booby juice away from them. FF I find is sooo much easier though. I really am torn, trying to decide what to do about this is so hard. To top it off, DH works away through the week so I am totally alone with two bubs. That makes BF harder cause if they are both screaming at you at one time wanting to be fed you don't have anyone to help put them both on boob at the one time. Giving them bottles at the same time is pretty easy though. I haven't got the nack of double burping yet though, lol!!!
A big hello to everyone. Sorry I'm not on much but I am really finding it very hard to get anytime to do anything but feed, change nappies, settle crying babies, washing etc etc.
Today we had our Paediatrician appointment. He was very impressed on how well the boys are going and their weight gain so that was good to hear. Poor R has reflux though so he gave us some medicine for him. He said it could take a few weeks to kick in though - Aaarrrggghhhhhh, I still have a screaming baby for a few weeks. Fingers crossed though that it does end up helping him.
Well I hope you are doing well and settling in to the role of caring for a newborn. I guess we all have our ups and downs, but we will get there in the end. It is all worth every good and bad moment. I love my little men soooo much and wouldn't trade them for the world. I love being a mummy, even though it is pretty hard work atm. I feel like I kiss them waaaaay too much - I wonder if they hate it, lol. They are just so scrumptious.

How do i get an avi??? Is it easy and not take much time?
