Hey Mel
The whole Tin is GONE. I didnt try the brauers stuff cause he is burping fine now. Does it help with constipation too? His poo is like pebbles and he is straining and crying and his tummy is hard.

Kyla - coloxyl drops will be from the pharmacy, have a chat to the chemist about them, poor J... Have you tried some cool boiled water before a feed... Constipation could be because they are not getting enough water, so they want to feed more (in a BF baby this would cause the milk to get watery as a response) to increase the water content, but as formula doesn't change consistency it's not helping him (hope that doesn't sound judgmental in Ff vs BF cos it's not meant to at all)...
Also re the feeding/hungry noise, miss A makes the ehh soaked with the neh sound, and moiths/roots for a feed but I'm pretty sure this is cos she wants to suck as she is uncomfortable so I try to deal with the upper wind first, then she doesn't want to have a feed cos she didn't really need it
Dont know if that's helpful at all...
Bbl when I'm on the computer to post properly :)

Haha snap SJ, I was just about to come in and suggest water to Kylz! I know my ff fed bubs were having water by a month old.
Kylz - you could try the water at the 2 hour mark - might be thirsty instead of hungry? :dunno:
I will give that a go. How much do I give him?
I was told to give warm water for his poos but that isnt doing anything :(
Bad night here as well, but this was because of BF issues which i put in another post in the BF section. Have been in tears all morning because of the BF issues. Need to pull myself together as we have a doctor appointment and they will probably bring out the PND test if I'm crying...I know it's not PND but the professionals always err on the side of caution based on my previous experience.
On the good side no real grizzly time yesterday afternoon...yay.
Jenna - I found a nipple shield useful for getting DS attached but we still have feeding issues.
Kitty - hopefully it will all be fine.
Mildez - no magical cure just some advice which was really frustrating and leaves me wondering where to from here, i put it in a post in the BF section.
Brown sugar in water is supposed to help with constipation.
With the water, I just put maybe 40mls at a time in a bottle of cooled boiled water and if they drank it, they drank it. Aricyn hated it the first time, probably cos it wasn't milk lol
Lisa - I'm sorry you are having bfeeding issues  the girls give great advice on the bfing part of the forum though. I have no advice cos this is the first time I've been successful! Failed miserably the first and third time, and didn't try at all second time (apart from some expressing!). It's so hard when something that is portrayed as being so natural is so bloody difficult!
Ditto!!! I love how they say 'babies come out knowing how to bf' Ummmm bull sh*t they do!
I went to a different weigh in clinic today and I am soooo glad I went there. The other two clinic's I went to the ladies were LC and they made me feel so bad by feeding EBM rather than BF. They made me feel really inadequate and a bit of a failure. The lady at todays clinic was a midwife and she was so nice and reassuring. She didn't make me feel horrible about feeding EBM and FF. i told her how my expressing was so time consuming and that i was struggling keeping up with it and she was all for me going solely formula. She told me how great of a job i had done to go this far while i am on my own at home. Like someone else has said, she said that formula is made purely to feed baby. So yeah, i feel a bit better after today. Now to just convince DH and get him on board and than to deal with his family. It really s***s me, why should it concern anyone else what or how you feed YOUR baby. I can just see it now, I am going to cop so much from the inlaws. Not looking forward to it. I'm not looking forward to trying to convince DH also.
I can't see their reason to dislike ebm - is it because it's from a bottle? It's still breastmilk... Bbl when the vampire has unlatched and has let me put away groceries...
How dare they even thinks it's their business enough to say anything!!!! I would GO OFF at my IL's even they even looked at me sideways!!!
Hope, I think your amazing! Don't let anyone bully you at all, you are predominantly parenting alone TWO babies and doing a fantastic job. how dare anyone tell you what to do or frown upon you... Your body, your babies, your choice. I understand the pro BF sentiment, but it's also about what's best for YOU too.

hope: you know we all think your awesome FF or BF. Hope you have a nice chat with DH and that he can understand where you are coming from, sounds like you will need his support with his family and really it will be his duty to tell them to back off.
mel: you are so right.
lisa: Don't put too much pressure on yourself about BF it will work out  hope you get the help you need in the BF advice forum.
C is doing good, feeding well still every 3 hours during the day though, is that too much? I always have trouble getting him to stay latched to my right boob though, if he is hungry he latches like a champ but if he is only peckish or wakes up during the night and I give it to him he messes around latches and unlatches then cries at me while im offering it to him cos he is hungry. Haven't booked to see the dr yet, will go on friday I think, im going to get in as much naughty food as I can just in case I get the bad news.
gah why does C know exactly when Im on the computer??? BBL prob
btw did you all see the new guideline, no photos in tickers. fair enough, I just need to remember to get rid of mine whne the child is not screaming at me!!
hope - you have done a fantastic job doing what you have done and with twins....remember it is ur choice, ur body, ur babies no IL's should have a say in what is best as you will be the only one that knows. I had the same thing with mark's mum on the weekend but opposite - i mentioned something to his aunty as we were out to lunch and she was listening that my bb's are a lil big for Jack's mouth and that it hurts to bf if i don't attach him prob and take the time (like when i am half asleep). she was like i would of had him straight on formula etc etc as that is what i did with mark's sister as i had a terrible time with bfding mark!! well i was like nope i want to perservere with bf as much as possible, as i know it will get better as he gets better
hi everyone esle have been reading but been busy and trying to find time to get on computer - mark has a new ps3 game so that is his fav thing to do when he gets home - yay to me!!
hahaha is that whats wrong with her lol
Thankyou so much everyone. You are all awesome and so supportive. To be honest, I am quite terrified about the whole thing, lol. I convince myself that yep, this is it, I'm giving up on the EBM but than I get the guilts up and tell myself to keep persevering. I don't want to disappoint anyone, including myself. I hate that I can't BF (I've tried and tried but just can't get it right) as I had such big expectations that I was going to rock at it. So at least with the EBM, I'm still providing for my boys. I'm just sooo tired and finding it hard to find enough time to express. Plus, I really don't want to deal with any confrontations. What a sook hey! The thing is, DH is ok with me FF through the night but he is always on me about putting the boys back on booby and to eat properly and drink plenty of water etc etc so my supply stays up for "when" I start feeding them again. Aaarrrrgggghhhhh!!! So sorry for keep going on about this and thankyou so much for putting up with me....
scone: Pretty much because it's just from a bottle. I don't understand, it's still the same product, just given in a different way.
WMM: Believe me, I would love to go off but I'd hate to cause any trouble for anyone. They are so opinionated. I have to try to remember that, unfortunately, they are DH family.
SJ: Thanks so much.
Kitty: Your awesome.
Iona: My mum is like that. She can't understand why I keep persevering with the booby juice, she keeps telling me to just use the formula. She's like "you know what I would be doing". Hehehe, I have one side who shuns upon Formula and the other side keeps pushing me to do it.
I just want to give everyone in here a :grouphug: You all rock. Thankyou all so much.
