Kitty: So many wise words woman. Men, just have no idea do they? I agree with and glad that your dh seen the light.
Jenna: Can you ring Centrelink and tell them that no, you need the payment on that date? Glad to see you back on here. Sounds like little miss is getting better. : )
Hope: Here is hoping that your dh comes around. I would say what Kitty suggested and fingers crossed he will take the clue. Hugs to you. I am still amazed by you. xx
Ellasmummy: Aw darlin, hang in there. Maybe he will have a good night tonight?
Kylz: I am so happy that the change has proved to be good for you. Don't thank me, thank the lady at my chemist. She had all of her kids on it and swore by it. I am just so happy the gas is gone! The sleeping part is just a wonderful side effect. : )
Jak: I know right? Omg about Wyatt. Seriously? I understand Kolton is not a popular name but geeeshhhhh he does have the middle name Noah! Will ring them tomorrow i guess. Oh btw yes that romper was from America. You should see the clothes I bought for 3-6 months! Omg!! Sorry not on fb much these days except to post pics for the Canadians. I love Wyatts clothes, love that we have the same taste! Speaking of which, still need to stalk you and Kylz for your pics. Cannot believe I have not looked yet.
Mel, Teni, Sam, Hope, Melz and everyone else HELOOOOOO!
Now to watch some tv whilst waiting for K to wake up for his 9:30 dream feed..
What is it about biggest loser? It is the only time I crave and cave to junkfood!! What the? Ever since I got kicked out of the weight watchers meeting I have not been the best eater... Kind of like getting a hall pass! 2 more weeks!
You know today was thinking pretty selfish of me to come in here and boast when that K is sleeping so well. I forgot about all you girls that are dealing with colic. I am so sorry. So no more boasting from this point forward. SORRY! xx
Why won't he stop crying :(
I've bathed fed burped changed burped. I'm ready to pull my hair out :( been nearly 2 hrs

Poor Kylz. I hear you hun. It's terrible when you can't work out what is wrong. At our paediatrician appointment on Monday he diagnosed R with Reflux and recommended I use a Anti Reflux formula and gave us some medicine which he said wouldn't kick in for a few weeks. Anyway, I am using NAN AR by Nestle for R and he has been a different baby so far. I know this doesn't help you right now, but it is something that you could look into.
Hugs to you. Hopefully J settles for you soon.
Kylz W is unsettled too! We always seem to get it at the same time!
He is feeding constantly... But fussy while doing it! Grrr
He has had 240ml in an hour. Asleep now but for how long?
Lol, Wyatt is laying in my bed (on his snuggle bed) staring at me with wide open eyes! Widdle turd! Lol
I can hear J grunting away in.his room.
I'm in bed. Splitting headache and everytime I stand I get dizzy. Great didnt miss that for last 8 months.
 hope your boys are in better moods tommorow and let you sleep tonight.
i think im stuck in a loop and feel **** for it, im not getting jack done, i get up to clean bub grizzles so i sit down she settles but i dont get up to do anything, when i do one of the kids start, or i have to tell the boys off then i use that as a excuse to sit back down... then i end up ****ed off and ****ty at them for me not doing anything, even been cracking it at df for nothing, yesterday the dog ate dinner off thebench, so i told df i was going to get more and walked out, but i got ****ty with him for not driving i didnt give him a chance!
ive told df to take the net usb with him to work tommorow, i told him ill either get most the house work done, or ill sit on the couch all day doing nothing, he recons id be better sitting in front of the computer, cos at least then im doing something, not the point!
sorry compleatly me, ive got to stop pretending everythings fine and going great! (it is but i think im loosing it...)
Sarah can someone come help you with the house? Most my friends had baby's young and I was always tidying their houses in exchange for hanging out and getting newborn cuddles :)
Another thing you could do for the boys is implement a rewards chart... So a big piece of cardbord with their names and a list of things they can do to help you, chores, homework, any behavioural problems they have etc. Then when they either do the helpful thing or achieve the good behaviour they get a sticker or star next to their name. Once a quota is reached they get their reward. Not something huge or expensive. It could be something totally free that they really would like... Maybe a special night with mum, or a late bedtime one night, something they would treasure that's not just a toy or treat iykwim.
Sorry I'm rambling. Got the 2am thing going on ;)
Kylz: Chase was a crapper last night as well. Woke up around 8pm and by 11pm was still awake. i ended up just handing him to DH and going to bed. Dh got him to sleep, and Chase woke up at 6am this morning like always. He's sleeping right now but I can hear him grunting so not sure its going to last.
sarah: try not to be too hard on yourself. maybe just take a day to relax and don't even think about housework and then the next day decide thats the day to get into it. Thats what I do :) but you do have the other kids so it might not be an option. Like jaki said any friends to help out?
tams: boast away, I am so proud of Chase's sleeping pattern though its the getting him to sleep that is starting to be an issue. when you mentioned K's birth certificate I went to check Chase's just in case, its all good :) I need to get Chase a passport too, I've booked the flights and just remembered they have Baby Kallio as the name on them....hahaha I'll have to give the airline a call.
Jenna: bloody centrelink, can you talk to anyone to get it changed back? I swear I get paid on tuesdays...
EM: I had a silly baby yesterday too. Was up at 9am and I couldn't get him for a sleep until 2.30pm and then he only slept for 2 hours then up again. Maybe thats why he was such a crapper to put to bed last night, was waaayyyy overtired. How did you end up geting her to sleep in the end? might help me :)
jaki: ahhh 2am, can't say I miss being up at 2am. :)
Turns out AF has decided to visit. Gah, just what I need for the wedding this weekend :( Tampons are safe to start using again right?
Tams & Kitty - I probably could get it changed back, but I might as well leave it as it is for the moment as the baby bonus comes on the non-FTB/Parenting Payment week, so I get a bit more $$ to do the fortnightly shopping with than I would have before.
Kitty - bummer on AF returning :(
Tams - doesn't bother me if you boast about how well he sleeps darl :) Gives me something to look forward to lol
Kylz - could he be overtired/overstimulated? I find with DS, and now Elise, that when they are overtired and/or overstimulated they get really grumpy, grizzly, sooky, and DS turns into a turd and doesn't do anything that he's told to do. When Elise gets like that we wrap her up so she can't move her arms, give her a feed until she starts to fall asleep and then just sit with her until she's completely out of it before putting her in the bassinet. Usually works and she sleeps for 3-4 hours usually.
Sarah - *hugs* give in to it when you need to darl, I've been going off at hubby and DS too, I get so frustrated and p***** off with them and then feel so guilty and start feeling like I'm a failure for being like that that I end up bawling my eyes out for hours, and it's worse when Elise is unsetted. All I've managed to do around the house is get bottles and the breast pump washed, every time I put Elise down she wakes up and grizzles, and when she's crying, DS starts to cry as well. You're not alone *hugs*
afm - Elise slept from 10pm to 6am, which was a nice suprise, but then hubby and I had a huge argument this morning over Elise's dummy which had gone missing... he went to work in a foul mood after tearing the loungeroom apart trying to find the stupid thing while I was bawling my eyes out, and then not even 5 minutes later I found it staring me in the face and sitting in the bouncer.
Gah, what a horrid morning :( Have only just gotten Elise to sleep again, she won't go down in the bassinet and just screams and screams, she'll only fall asleep in my arms. It's getting really frustrating because I need to wash the pump and bottles again :(
Kitty Tampons are fine to use as soon as postpartum bleeding has stopped so if its AF I think your definately safe to start using them again.
Sarah you sound completely normal with 4 little ones to care for. I have 3 now and OMG are school holidays aweful. I'm counting down the hours until school returns so atleast I have no fights (DD2 can't fight with J yet) My house is deteriorating at a rapid rate and I swear the kids want to be 10 times as bad as soon as I start BF and DH doesn't get why I can't just pull J of and sort them out. MMmm our baby isn't gaining weight and you think I should take her on and off as I please. Older kiddies can make it soooo difficult.
Well this expressing is not much fun. I have 3hrs wait til J gets weighed and see if my efforts are going to be rewarded or else I'll be packing my bags for our paed stay. I know J is taking alot more now although she is also vomiting 10 times as much. Surely in 3days she can have gained 50grams right? I'll be devastated if she hasn't.
Scone Great to hear the cookies helped! Too bad you forgot the sugar hehe. Just think about how much better they are for you without it... even though they probably tasted pretty bad! lol
Tams I don't know how you've done it by yourselves all this time! DH and I are getting along over the past week, but I think it's only because he's doing so much as well. When there's no one else you definitely need to both pull together.
EM How are you going today?
Kylz I hope you and J had a better day and night last night xoxo.
Sarah If you don't have anyone around that can lend a hand, I'd be happy to come over to help. My house is looking like a bomb has hit it at the moment, but I told DH to expect it for the next few days because I don't care lol.
Jenna I'm having the same kind of problem with H not wanting to be put down. I'm struggling with it because I don't want him to get in to that routine where he can't settle himself to sleep, but then I think, aww he's just so little he needs cuddles. Plus I want to cuddle him all the time so I'm not helping the situation lol
Mildez Firstly, Hi! Great to see you here :-) FX your little one has put on weight!!
Last night was a bad night for us. I decided to start H on a different formula yesterday and I don't think he likes it. He only drunk 100ml at 2am (he's on 150ml usually), then woke up at 4:30 and had only 60ml, then again at 5:30 and had only 30ml before going back to sleep. So at 7:30 when he woke I made a bottle with the usual NAN and he had the whole lot and we slept till 10:30. Little brat lol.
Weirdly enough I received my new medicare card in the mail last week, but when I called centrelink about the PPL they said it hasn't been processed yet. This means work isn't going to pay me this fortnight because they haven't received the funds from CL. Bastards! lol. Thankfully I kept most of my last pay aside just in case this happened.
Hayden had his 4wk check the other day and has put on 700g in the last 2 weeks! Little chubba lol. He's now up to 5.7kgs and is so strong! Last night he discovered for the first time that his legs can be used to kick and move himself. Now whenever I have him on my tummy for some cuddles he pushes himself right up and stares at me. It's so cute :heartbeat:
I have been following along on tapatalk, but just feel exhausted lately and still not completely over this flu. DH has been taking H as soon as he gets home and also taking the 2nd night feed as H usually wakes just before he has to get up for work. I feel really bad about it because he then has to go to work all day, but he says he enjoys it and TBH I think he feels like he's making up for not being able to see his daughter. His ex took off with her when she was a baby and we haven't seen able to find her since, so he has missed so much :( I don't know how someone could do that to the father of their child, particularly when there's no reason for it.
I'm sorry I know I've missed someone but H is due to wake up soon and I have no bottle made. It's taken me forever to write this - I've actually written 3 posts over the past few days that I keep losin them lol
Just popping in, Tuesday night apparently I dribbled nonsense in my sleep to dh, yesterday he ordered me to have a sleep through the day. That didn't happen because Eden was either feeding or screaming or both ALL day. I think she slept for an hour and a half all day. I ended up calling dh, and then his mum and we ended up going with mil to a friends place for afternon tea and we had dinner at the in laws. Such a lifesaver!
Hi Guys,
I am so behind in the reading as i didnt see the new thread - I have been on the puda for nearly 2 hours writing my birth story, thanks for the kick Mel, I will post a link as soon as it has been approved (is this a new thing) so i really cant read it all now to catch up - so i am really sorry for the lack of personals
Took MJ to the Osteo on Tuesday as she is continually grunting and farting and doing bubbly poos so i know that there is a wind issue going on. It was amazing to see her work on MJ, so gentle, but really helped, we had such a great night afterwards, We are back tomorrow morning, she reckons i will need maybe 2-3 more visits and then she will be all fixed up - maybe worth a try for those with unsettled gassy babies?
Had a CMHN visit on Tuesday too, A is 55cm long and 4.5kg, she is huge for a 2 week old - it took MJ 6 weeks to get to those numbers and she was a bigger than average baby too!
Gotta go as want to try and squeeze in a cuppa before A wakes again, Mum has MJ for the night tonight so will have a bit of a less rushed evening :)
Will catch up soon and try and get on here more often so i cant actually contribute instead of just talking about myself - sorry
The boys had their needles today and they are both so unsettled. I can't settle them at all. Even panadole isn't doing the trick. I'm pulling my hair out. Poor little cherubs, i wish i could take their spot. :crying:
Ooooo so many bubs gaining great amounts of weight. After a rocky start I am so pleased little J has gained 160grams in 3days. I'm thrilled. She is now 60grams above her birth weight. Hopefully if she continues to gain like she is now she will be a chubber in no time. Have visitors so will have to go just wanted to share my woohoo. J needed to put on 50grams to stay out of paeds so she has well and truely done that plus 110grams more
Well done to J mildz
i know how u feel Kel. J had his last week. Still has the lumps.
Oh that's great news Mildez!
Yay mildez! That's fantastic!
yay that's great news mildez
WooHoo Mildez!!!!!!!
Whoo Hoo to the weight gain Mildez, makes it all worth it now hey?
Kolton got weighed today and he is 9 pound 1. My midwife was so amazing. I am pretty blessed, not sure if you guys remember but at one point I was so frightened of midwives. Not anymore. : )
Hey ladies,
Still no internet using son's DO DO thingy so have to be quick we have been told internet will be connected tuesday i actully had to ring today and go off my nut and cancel all my services with telstra before a manager rang me to say they have organised it all and fixed the problem.
Sarah-Yeh! on a name for your little girl.
Tams-i have tried S26 gold S26 SMA and all gave Ella pretty bad wind i was told the more casin the heavier the formula so harder to digest and more likely to get wind so we tried karicare and Ella brought that all up so next was Nan HA gold which is 100% percent whey No casin and she has settled down but seems to be hungry every 3-4 hours and because she is feeding so much gets overfull and uncomfortable so now we are trying normal Nan pro which is 70% whey and 30% casin so hopeing the whey helps settle the wind but the little bit of casin helps her go a bit longer between feeds hopefully 4-5 hours.
We have also received Ell'a birth certificate it only took 2 weeks.
Mildez-Yeh on making it to our march group i dont pop into out other thread very much just dont have time.
Ella has just started to smile it is so adorable.
Sorry for lack of persies i just dont have the internet time to go back through all the post's i have missed.
AFM-Ella is doing great other than trying to sort out which formula is gentler on her belly but the little fatty has put on 900 grams in 2 weeks she is now 9lb 6oz which is 4.25kgs she was born 2.9 kilos (2940 grams) so the 3 hourly feeds can easily go to 5 hourly without affecting her weight gain.
She is now 52cm long and her head cm is 35cm so she is still a little bundle my SIL baby was born bigger then her and she is 4 weeks old tomorrow.
We have worked out when she is tired and gets cranky she likes to be put to bed and left to fall asleep which is good no rocking or patting here.
She still hates her baths and her nappy off lol but is such a little sweety has the prettiest little face.
We have finally moved into our new house which is really nice way better then the other place but moving after major surgery with a 2 week old was really hard i got an abcess in my c section wound which was really painful it is looking really good now though and the scar is really good just a thin line and no overhang.
Jaki-Hi chick thanks for texting me reminded me of how much i have missed you all.
Anyway better go i will get back on when i can and hopefully my internet will be on next week.
:D Hey Ferrals!!! :D
Hey ferrals!! Glad to hear you're in your new place :-)
Mildez: Yay!!! Go you chubba bubba :) That should be a load off your mind, congratulations! She just wanted to take a little longer to get there :)
Kylz/Hope: The needles are def no fun, made me sad seeing him cry. Chase didn't really care about the needles after they were done, he cried of course and the nurse said to expect him to be grumpy but he was normal. Maybe he was just used to needles cos he had so many when he was in the SCN.
ferrals: no rocking or patting required for sleep?? How do you teach that LOL Ouchies about the abssess on your scar that sucks but at least you are in a nice new house with a land lord who isn't a giant pain in the a$$ I have a bit of overhang if I don't hold in my belly :( not overhang exactly but you can see where the cut was because my skin is tighter there. hope you find the right formula for your little lady soon
tams: Kolton's such a big boy! Doing extremely well, bet your a proud mumma :)
sammie: oooh cuppa i hear you on that one was waiting to see if Chase woke up at 10pm or whether he would sleep through and looks like he is sleeping through, oh yeah. So im gonna get myself a cuppa now. And hurray for bubs growing nice and strong, its such a great feeling of accomplishment.
Ali: and congrats to you too on Hayden gaining all his weight. What well fed bubbas we are all having. You Dh sounds wonderful. I love hearing about DH's who aren't addicted to online gaming, then I have something to refer to in an arguement :) so keep up with the nice stories hehehe
scone: thats so nice that your in laws were able to help you, Chase was grumpy yesterday as well, same thing almost no sleep. By 11pm I was pulling my hair out, I ended up leaving him with DH and going to bed. I didn't care that DH had work, seriously I felt so helpless I wanted to cry. And then DH got him to sleep in half and hour :( I told him I did all the hard work though so he couldnt take credit LOL
Found out Chase has ticklish ears today :) I had to put some sunscreen on him as we were heading out and he wiggled and smiled. And he has started making coo noises :) Like high pitched little noises when he is in a fun mood which is like....once a day hahaha. I'm really hoping I still fit into this bridesmaid dress on Saturday and Im freaking out about giving my speech!!!
Also back on the AF thing (i know i know, why wont this lady shut up about AF) but for those who have had kids before what was your first AF back like? I'm on day 2 and only wearing a liner and the blood is old blood too. I'm not complaining since the lighter the better but wondering if thats normal and its all just cleaning itself out. Was kind of expecting more. Not that I can really remember AF it was so long ago!!! LOL
Omg reading all these bubbas just hitting the 9pd mark - I will never see that day with my big boy :( but that's alrite I still love him no matter wat size he was/is
iona: LOL you already saw that day Iona, you just didn't get to 'see' it :)
Hi ladies! sorry for my rant lastnight  i feel heaps better today, i went and put Allyssa's forms in and had a wander arround the shops felt SO good to be out of the house!! i think thats been my problem, we dont all fit in df's car anymore, so im prety much stuck at home, never thought that would be the thing to get to me! i even got ALOT done once i came home, pluss our dog got the mouse tonight, so YAY!! (hoping with all hope it was just the one!) im taking the boys to the library tommorow morning, just so im out the house for a bit, seemed to do alot of good today.
YAY for all the babies putting on weight!!
Kitty, i think they should be fine, i used them first af after the others, was told to change them more frequent then usual, itms. i cant realy remember what it was like the first one, after krystal i only had like a half one, then was utd with allyssa, it sounds about normal tho. good luck with your dress!
Jenna, you cant aske them to keep it the way it is? i know they tried to change my pay to fortnight each time, and i lost it made them put it back to weekly im hopless at budgeting.
Tams, dont feel bad for boasting, it gives me hope that A will sleep in her bed all night yet!! i cant belive they messed his certificate up like that:o i hope they fix it and get it back to you quickly.
Ali  thank you. 700 in 2 weeks, wow! go H go!
Mildez, oh i know the fights are unbelivable! i swear T is a difrent kid when S is at school! i know understand why mum referd to first day of term, party day! (shh i do still love them, but the few hours is a nice break!) 160gm in 3 days, what a little trooper you have!!!
Hope, oh no, poor babies:( hopefully they had a big sleep and are feeling better.
Ferals, YAY on moving to a new house!!! hope they fix your net soon, there hopless.
Hi sammie, Scone, Kylz, Iona, Lou, and anyone i missed!!
i have to get going sopranoes is on, and if i dont go to bed ill be up till some rediculose hour watching it! (was 4am last time it was on:o opsies!)
OMG 6 hr stretch!!!!!!! W slept from 9-3 :) :) :)
Question is now will he go back to sleep??? Lol
WMM thats a great sleep.
Thanks for all the woohoos on J gaining weight.
Ferrals great to hear from you. Glad the move is over. Ella sounds like she is doing wonderfully.
BBL
Thanks Hun... And to top it off we have had a lovely morning feed with no breast shield!!!!! Yeehaaa!!
:D
yay Jaki, thats great!
A isnt happy now unless shes being held! i have to try break this befor it gets to be permanate....
Yay Jaki that's awesome! What a great night you had.
Glad the move is over Ferrals, hope all settles down soon :)
Re AF, last time I got mine back at about 6 weeks and it was really light, it was irregular for the first few cycles and then went back to 'normal'... I felt totally ripped off, was exclusively BF and I got it 2 weeks after the PP bleeding stopped, was hoping for a few months!
Iona, I hear you on the 9lb thing, all of my cute 0000 stuff has never been worn, I have never had a small baby!
Gotta go, A has just woken :)

Hi ladies,
I'm wondering if I can join in with this group. I should be in the earlier March group but no one seems to be posting there. My bub was born on 9th March so he is 5 weeks old now.
DS is a good baby apart from our feeding issues. He doesn't really cry except when hungry but does have a grizzly patch in the late afternoon where I can't do anything to settle him. He smiles regularly now and loves his baths. We are doing a bit of tummy time each day which he isn't impressed with but he has begun to rock his hips a bit which is exciting as he is gearing to eventually roll.
At the moment I am expressing every 3-4 hours around the clock and attempting to BF and when this doesn't work out offering him an EBM bottle. We are working with LCs to try and sort this out. We also have an osteo appointment next week so I'm crossing my fingers that this is helpful. Needless to say I am pretty tired as I'm sure most of you are. I'm not sure how to find the time to sleep during the day as I probably get about 1.5 hours in between feed and express intervals.
Welcom Lisa
U are more than welcome.
AFM - just been showered in spew. Nice thanks Jayden
Hi everyone - sorry haven't been posting, I want to do persies but it takes me forever to type on my phone and I never seem to get time on my laptop. I'll try tonight when the kids are in bed. Love to all!!
