Hey All
Tams I took the form in but thats only cause I had to pick up our wedding certificate to have my married name on his birth cert but same as kitty pretty sure I had it back within 2-3 weeks without paying any extra. I would call them cause I know they were flat out replacing all the ones that were damaged in the floods.
Hope - I hear you on the DH side too but I have had to start FF as my boobies are dried up. I did however tell him that he didnt have to get up during the week as he does go to work but he plays with power tools and huge machines and he wouldnt be much good to me with limbs missing. HOWEVER on the weekends is a diff story but doesnt get up still. Why do they think its ok to just roll over and wait for the baby to be having a full on screaming fit. I said that to J the other day. You can get up next time. well he started to wimper and i got the poos and got up. His response. I was going to get up i was waiting for him to cry. My response. Its much easier to settle a baby if they arent hysterical. Oh ok he says. He does however clean the cars and do the yards and shower with baby and put him to bed at night.
Mildz - Im sorry you are having such a hard time. you can hire pumps from some chemists so just do a google search.
Tams - Thanks for the heads up on that formula. SOoooo much better and J is sleeping better already. Plus its way better off in minerals and vitamins that the other and HALF the price.
Lou - dont stress about the real estate. they are there to look for maintenace not how you keep the house. They arent allowed to tell you how to live *takes of dusty property manager hat*
AFM - the outlaws are visiting sometime this weekend. Not that they have told us when they just expect us to be sitting at home waiting for them to come but HELL no i will not. Even Jus is peed at them. they dont ask to stay they just expect it to be ok and guess what THIS weekend it isnt. we have another friend here so someone is going to end up on the couch and i know it wont be me lol
Sorry quick me post. I just got back Koltons certificate and guess what they listed him as a FEMALE?? Wtf?? Believe me this was actually something I know I checked. Someone does not want me to buy airline tickets..
Back later. xx
Mildez - Elise was 3.65kg (8 pound) at birth, so she's only 50g over it now, but at least she's putting on weight.
I have the Avent manual pump that I got second hand before I had DS for $25 with a bunch of 125ml bottles, and it works well for me. Best advice I was given after having DS was to massage your boobs while pumping once the milk flow starts slowing down.
The other thing I was told (and I double checked this with midwives before even doing it lol) is to have 1 low alcohol beer right after you express/BF. Apparently the yeast and hops/barley can boost your supply, not sure if it has helped me or not, but I jumped from expressing 40ml to getting 90ml after my first half bottle and then up to 160ml after a full bottle the other day. I also only express every 4-5 hours and get 180-220ml each time which is almost 2 feeds for Elise, helps that she sleeps for about 4 hours when she oes get to sleep.
Poor J :( hope you can get everything sorted out and get her heart fixed up so she can be completely healthy start putting on lots of weight and stay awake for you
Kitty - Yep, it's fortnightly. Had to go into centerlink today to get my payment summary as hubby will be consolidating the car loan and credit card into one loan next month when he gets the loan to buy his new motorbike, and it's going to be fortnighly payments.
Tams - That's freakin unbelievable! I suppose they accidentally put DS's year of birth as 2007 instead of 2008, but at least they rang us up before sending it out to double check the dates.
Hi everyone else.
AFM - Peeved with centerlink, they are changing my FTB payments to a different day and week, so now I'll be getting them fortnightly from thursday next week instead of staying on the tuesday from the week after that... I had it organised specifically so that I'd get parenting payment when hubby doesn't earn much on the week that I don't get FTB, and now they've changed it to the week I get parenting payment... shouldn't complain I know, but it messes up all of my fortnightly budget that has been working really well for the past 2 years :(
Elise has been really god today, only had a little bit of painful gas, had a grizzle session this morning as she was overtired, finally went to sleep at 12, woke up for a feed at 4, had another small feed at 5 followed by a bit of a grizzle because of gas, and is now asleep again and farting away in my arms... wish DS would be as sedate as she is right now, he keeps on sooking because he wants food and it's not even his dinner time yet lol
OMG Tams!!! What twits!!!
They actually had Wyatt down as a girl in hospy but wasn't until the registrar said gee that's a funny name for a girl that it was picked up on!!!
Kitty: So many wise words woman. Men, just have no idea do they? I agree with and glad that your dh seen the light.
Jenna: Can you ring Centrelink and tell them that no, you need the payment on that date? Glad to see you back on here. Sounds like little miss is getting better. : )
Hope: Here is hoping that your dh comes around. I would say what Kitty suggested and fingers crossed he will take the clue. Hugs to you. I am still amazed by you. xx
Ellasmummy: Aw darlin, hang in there. Maybe he will have a good night tonight?
Kylz: I am so happy that the change has proved to be good for you. Don't thank me, thank the lady at my chemist. She had all of her kids on it and swore by it. I am just so happy the gas is gone! The sleeping part is just a wonderful side effect. : )
Jak: I know right? Omg about Wyatt. Seriously? I understand Kolton is not a popular name but geeeshhhhh he does have the middle name Noah! Will ring them tomorrow i guess. Oh btw yes that romper was from America. You should see the clothes I bought for 3-6 months! Omg!! Sorry not on fb much these days except to post pics for the Canadians. I love Wyatts clothes, love that we have the same taste! Speaking of which, still need to stalk you and Kylz for your pics. Cannot believe I have not looked yet.
Mel, Teni, Sam, Hope, Melz and everyone else HELOOOOOO!
Now to watch some tv whilst waiting for K to wake up for his 9:30 dream feed..
What is it about biggest loser? It is the only time I crave and cave to junkfood!! What the? Ever since I got kicked out of the weight watchers meeting I have not been the best eater... Kind of like getting a hall pass! 2 more weeks!
You know today was thinking pretty selfish of me to come in here and boast when that K is sleeping so well. I forgot about all you girls that are dealing with colic. I am so sorry. So no more boasting from this point forward. SORRY! xx
Why won't he stop crying :(
I've bathed fed burped changed burped. I'm ready to pull my hair out :( been nearly 2 hrs

Poor Kylz. I hear you hun. It's terrible when you can't work out what is wrong. At our paediatrician appointment on Monday he diagnosed R with Reflux and recommended I use a Anti Reflux formula and gave us some medicine which he said wouldn't kick in for a few weeks. Anyway, I am using NAN AR by Nestle for R and he has been a different baby so far. I know this doesn't help you right now, but it is something that you could look into.
Hugs to you. Hopefully J settles for you soon.
Kylz W is unsettled too! We always seem to get it at the same time!
He is feeding constantly... But fussy while doing it! Grrr
He has had 240ml in an hour. Asleep now but for how long?
Lol, Wyatt is laying in my bed (on his snuggle bed) staring at me with wide open eyes! Widdle turd! Lol
I can hear J grunting away in.his room.
I'm in bed. Splitting headache and everytime I stand I get dizzy. Great didnt miss that for last 8 months.
 hope your boys are in better moods tommorow and let you sleep tonight.
i think im stuck in a loop and feel **** for it, im not getting jack done, i get up to clean bub grizzles so i sit down she settles but i dont get up to do anything, when i do one of the kids start, or i have to tell the boys off then i use that as a excuse to sit back down... then i end up ****ed off and ****ty at them for me not doing anything, even been cracking it at df for nothing, yesterday the dog ate dinner off thebench, so i told df i was going to get more and walked out, but i got ****ty with him for not driving i didnt give him a chance!
ive told df to take the net usb with him to work tommorow, i told him ill either get most the house work done, or ill sit on the couch all day doing nothing, he recons id be better sitting in front of the computer, cos at least then im doing something, not the point!
sorry compleatly me, ive got to stop pretending everythings fine and going great! (it is but i think im loosing it...)
Sarah can someone come help you with the house? Most my friends had baby's young and I was always tidying their houses in exchange for hanging out and getting newborn cuddles :)
Another thing you could do for the boys is implement a rewards chart... So a big piece of cardbord with their names and a list of things they can do to help you, chores, homework, any behavioural problems they have etc. Then when they either do the helpful thing or achieve the good behaviour they get a sticker or star next to their name. Once a quota is reached they get their reward. Not something huge or expensive. It could be something totally free that they really would like... Maybe a special night with mum, or a late bedtime one night, something they would treasure that's not just a toy or treat iykwim.
Sorry I'm rambling. Got the 2am thing going on ;)
Kylz: Chase was a crapper last night as well. Woke up around 8pm and by 11pm was still awake. i ended up just handing him to DH and going to bed. Dh got him to sleep, and Chase woke up at 6am this morning like always. He's sleeping right now but I can hear him grunting so not sure its going to last.
sarah: try not to be too hard on yourself. maybe just take a day to relax and don't even think about housework and then the next day decide thats the day to get into it. Thats what I do :) but you do have the other kids so it might not be an option. Like jaki said any friends to help out?
tams: boast away, I am so proud of Chase's sleeping pattern though its the getting him to sleep that is starting to be an issue. when you mentioned K's birth certificate I went to check Chase's just in case, its all good :) I need to get Chase a passport too, I've booked the flights and just remembered they have Baby Kallio as the name on them....hahaha I'll have to give the airline a call.
Jenna: bloody centrelink, can you talk to anyone to get it changed back? I swear I get paid on tuesdays...
EM: I had a silly baby yesterday too. Was up at 9am and I couldn't get him for a sleep until 2.30pm and then he only slept for 2 hours then up again. Maybe thats why he was such a crapper to put to bed last night, was waaayyyy overtired. How did you end up geting her to sleep in the end? might help me :)
jaki: ahhh 2am, can't say I miss being up at 2am. :)
Turns out AF has decided to visit. Gah, just what I need for the wedding this weekend :( Tampons are safe to start using again right?
Tams & Kitty - I probably could get it changed back, but I might as well leave it as it is for the moment as the baby bonus comes on the non-FTB/Parenting Payment week, so I get a bit more $$ to do the fortnightly shopping with than I would have before.
Kitty - bummer on AF returning :(
Tams - doesn't bother me if you boast about how well he sleeps darl :) Gives me something to look forward to lol
Kylz - could he be overtired/overstimulated? I find with DS, and now Elise, that when they are overtired and/or overstimulated they get really grumpy, grizzly, sooky, and DS turns into a turd and doesn't do anything that he's told to do. When Elise gets like that we wrap her up so she can't move her arms, give her a feed until she starts to fall asleep and then just sit with her until she's completely out of it before putting her in the bassinet. Usually works and she sleeps for 3-4 hours usually.
Sarah - *hugs* give in to it when you need to darl, I've been going off at hubby and DS too, I get so frustrated and p***** off with them and then feel so guilty and start feeling like I'm a failure for being like that that I end up bawling my eyes out for hours, and it's worse when Elise is unsetted. All I've managed to do around the house is get bottles and the breast pump washed, every time I put Elise down she wakes up and grizzles, and when she's crying, DS starts to cry as well. You're not alone *hugs*
afm - Elise slept from 10pm to 6am, which was a nice suprise, but then hubby and I had a huge argument this morning over Elise's dummy which had gone missing... he went to work in a foul mood after tearing the loungeroom apart trying to find the stupid thing while I was bawling my eyes out, and then not even 5 minutes later I found it staring me in the face and sitting in the bouncer.
Gah, what a horrid morning :( Have only just gotten Elise to sleep again, she won't go down in the bassinet and just screams and screams, she'll only fall asleep in my arms. It's getting really frustrating because I need to wash the pump and bottles again :(
Kitty Tampons are fine to use as soon as postpartum bleeding has stopped so if its AF I think your definately safe to start using them again.
Sarah you sound completely normal with 4 little ones to care for. I have 3 now and OMG are school holidays aweful. I'm counting down the hours until school returns so atleast I have no fights (DD2 can't fight with J yet) My house is deteriorating at a rapid rate and I swear the kids want to be 10 times as bad as soon as I start BF and DH doesn't get why I can't just pull J of and sort them out. MMmm our baby isn't gaining weight and you think I should take her on and off as I please. Older kiddies can make it soooo difficult.
Well this expressing is not much fun. I have 3hrs wait til J gets weighed and see if my efforts are going to be rewarded or else I'll be packing my bags for our paed stay. I know J is taking alot more now although she is also vomiting 10 times as much. Surely in 3days she can have gained 50grams right? I'll be devastated if she hasn't.
