Cass I've gotta admit here and now that I voted for no photos in tickers. Sorry if that upsets you, but I just felt that it was causing so much hurt and drama, that it was probably better to just let them go completely iykwim?

I don't think they're going to take the avvies away, just make it a no-photo zone?

Quick Cass, I think you need to mainline some chocolate!!

I hope the avvies don't go! Bummer about the ticker pics, but I can understand why. A bit sad to see them go though.

Cass, you should be able to use the rice cooker - just fill it with boiling water and let it simmer and put the choc in a bowl floating in there until the choc melts. I have been really worried I am getting a cold sore. I haven't had one before but I keep getting a tingle above my lip.

MD, thanks for the link. I have a couple of those symptoms so I will keep an eye on it. I have probably caused it because my right hip aches if I stand too long so then I stand unevenly with the weight off that leg. My coccyx is also sore, apparently if you injure it (too many horse falls) it can be less anchored and move around too much during pregnancy. That is my biggest gripe atm, it hurts! No osteo here though. I am only 20 weeks - I am having visions of being wheelchair ridden by the end of the pregnancy!

Arte, when I was pg with P, my pelvis certainly felt a lot more dodgy than it ever did with the first two. I couldn't even get up off the floor without it hurting but it never turned into full blown SPD, I think it was more just me having 3 babies in a short time kwim? I was pg again by the time L and E were 10 months old.

MD, I am sure you are just selling yourself short about the assignment and you'll get a good mark. I have a crappy 2500 word case study to do and writing up the case study part is easy - heck I'm even talking out of my bum for a lot of it LOL, it's going to be the other stuff that is the killer.

Cass that is a truly crappy few days don't feel bad about it. We all get to the end of our tether occasionally and completely wig out over the smallest things.

G, I voted to keep the rules the same as they were for tickers. When that rule was first brought in it was a totally crappy time when we had to decide to do that in the first place (No pics of passed babies). When the issue came up again no one had any clue how hard it was to decide that in the first place. But I thought with hte voting thing people were voting mostly to change it, not for having no pc at all.

I think I'm just missing my old TAFE study buddies, it's the sort of assignment we would've sat down together to work through the hard parts with a bag of red frogs, lots of laughs and a whole lot of support. I've had such a flakey time at uni so far, I haven't had the chance to bond with any of the other students. Hmmm, sounds like a personal project: get study buddy! LOL

Cass, I hope daylight (and the passing of the moon) brightens things up.

Arte, no it won't necessarily get that bad, you would know by the 20 week mark if you were in for some real trouble. But do start taking all the measures they suggest - no lifting, avoid stairs when you can, don't stand if you can sit (even cooking tea, etc) and get the pillows happening in bed. Think laterally: there was no one else to do laundry, so I got one of those laundry basket trolleys so I didn't ahve to carry wet washing. I found flanny sheets an impossibility (cos the flanny jarmies kind of grip them) so think about those sorts of things too. The vast majority of women have mild-mod symptoms and only a few go on to have major wheelchair type issues.

MD: thanks babe, today was HEAPS better. i thought that i might of still been a bit grumpy, but the coldsore has now gone and the sun is shining and the girls and i went to MG and played in the park and snarfed down some eggs florentine (food is my friend lol).

Sherie: i can only imagine how hard it would of been to exclude with the pic policy. i guess that i thought most would vote to let them have their time in the sun. but i guess not. i just feel a bit sad that now the angel baby mamas are having the doubly whammy of causing the loss of photos for everyone else. i know that it would of made me feel bad for posting my angel baby's pic in the first place ITMS. i can only hope that they wont take the avvy's away too. 'cause then that would suck big time lol.

Arte: oh that is good! i have been busy thinking up chocolate ideas and now i can do it

G: i can see your point babe with the photos. i just think it's a bit sad that i cant show off my babies haha...i loved designing the tickers...shallow i know! (but i am a sad sack these days so pay me no heed lol).

Cass, making the chocolate is easy and fun! I have just been melting it in the microwave (are you technical enough to have a microwave??), then pour it into the mold and about 10 minutes in the freezer and it is done. Be prepared for A LOT of whinging and begging from your helper though.

We had a playdate yesterday with my new friend and she has invited us to her place tomorrow!

    hi girls

arte- yah for a play date!!! we actually had a lovely one this morning with an old friend that i really don't catch up with enough. his children are sooooo well beahved though compared to mine, i don't think he's actually ever seen anything like the rockstar before! he spent most of the morning laughing at his antics

cass- phew! i'm glad you're not upset with me. i went to bed last night a bit worried that you would be upset for me for voting the way i did. i honestly think that it is a no-win situation and i honestly could have voted either way as i can see both sides of it, but something just swayed me towards no pics altogether. i think i just imagined a new angel mumma doing a google search looking for support and finding bb and then seeing lots of pics of babies, kids, preggo bellies and angel babies and then turning away and it broke my heart i honestly think there's no right answer on this issue though.

    Hi ladies,

Absolutely shattered after the weekend, but had a lovely time. The groom spilt his trousers 20 minutes before the wedding so i had to taxi down to to DJ's in the city and then run, yes run! back up to Her Majesty's theatre with a new pair. I thought my waters might have broken, but fortunately turned out i just peed. My body is feeling very sore now though.

Cass- i must admit i voted no pics too. I don't think it's fair to allow some babies and not others, and i think if there is a possibility of upsetting someone it's better not to have any. You can't offend someone with nothing. I do think it's sad we can't see all the gorgeous babies and bellies, but i think it's the best decision. Sorry you're so upset by it.

Arte- My pelvis has been killing me. I am walking around like i am 40 weeks and i still have ages to go. Not sure how i'll cope. My Dad can fix it for me in about 5 minutes, but he's been away. A good Osteo or Chiro will help. I personally don't like Physios, but maybe i've just never seen a good one.....

I'm off to Fiji tonight. 11pm flight. Never done overnight flight with the girls so hope it goes ok. Can't wait to relax and read a book.

I like to call it the 'sneeze-n-squirt'! guilty here too. Dh the kids and I are going on a pre-baby holiday. Some friends were going to come but opened a new cafe and are too busy, so it's just us.

    Lovely! Enjoy your get-away-even-further

JM I"m very impressed with your trouser rescue efforts, no more jogging with your painful pelvis, through (*wags stern MD finger*)

Ok, well I took DD1 shopping because she has had an pubescent growth spurt and shot straight through 2 sizes in a year...am loathe to admit it but she has graduated out of the kid's clothing department!!! I bought her a pair of ladies size 10 bootleg jeans (*sniff*). My baby is growing up, booblets and all....

Re the ticker photos - no surprises to anyone I voted to remove the photos too. I joined in 2006 and I don't know if I just had images turned off because we were on sad old slow internet, or whether BB just didn't have photos back then (?) but the photos seemed to my psyche to be a relatively new thing and a small price to pay for preventing heartache and/or distress. I understand if you're feeling a sense of loss, FWIW I love seeing your photos (and everyone's really) on FB even though I don't often comment, I really enjoy them.

MP - hope your itches are continuing to improve. I don't know if Happy Passover is the right thing to say, but I hope it's a wonderful time for you this year, wonder mummy!

Trill have you recovered yet from your crazy netball trip LOL?

MP, I have been wondering how you are doing. How did you dinner go? 28 people! That is crazy. Would be a bring-a-plate deal here, I just couldn't manage cooking for that many people. I am sure you pulled it off perfectly though. Hope your rash is improving. You must be in Noosa now, hope you are having a super relaxing time.

Trill, that netball trip sounded like fun. I have made a preliminary booking for a kid free night up in Taupo in June, a couple of days after my Semester 1 paper exam and about a week before DH goes to China.

MD, must be hard to admit that she is more teen than child now xx. Not looking forward to those days.

As expected in the stimulation vacuum of holidays, W's sleep has gone to custard again and he spent an hour screaming and bellowing in the middle of the night. A has finally decided to get a molar too, which isn't helping sleep.

Sounds like you are going to have a full on weekend G! Have fun!

Yes, I did get over the bus trip - just so tired! Glad I don't drink anymore because the girls who were drinking were a little worse for wear the next day apparently LOL.

I had netball training on Tuesday night and DH wasn't working so the kids were just here with him and I gets home at 8.30 to A running flat out around the house pretending he was riding a motor bike and when I came in he tried to tell me why he was doing it but because he was so excited and hyper I had no idea what he was on about - turns out that while DH was searching youtube for videos on how to train sheepdogs, he came across the fecking CRAZY FROG video and thought it would be hilarious to show the kids and OF COURSE A thinks it is FANTASTIC!!! I was so not impressed LOL I hated that song the first time it came out let alone being asked to play it 10 times a day. When I tell him no he can't watch it he gets this sad look on his face and says in a little voice 'but I love it so much' - how can I say no to that?

Gracie, that sounds like an awesome weekend! The boys are going to have a fantastic time! Would love to do something like that.

Trill, I am not sure what the crazy frog is but A likes to watch the Meow Mix cat food commercial (from 1982) over and over. She sings all the meows. I stupidly showed W that there are clips of body things on there so now he is wanting to watch clips of vocal cords/ear drums/muscles etc.

DH entered W in the local easter hunt (not for eggs) so now we are going out probably tomorrow and Saturday evening to try to shoot a possum or rabbit. I think I am driving the truck while DH and the kids spotlight off the deck. All I can think of is the Clampetts LOL. Then on Sunday there is the weigh in and prize giving but they have kids rides and games (possum throwing???) as well so it should be fun.
Reading that back we sound like yokels!!

ooh i hope that everyone has a lovely long weekend and for those of you that have the easter thang happening hope that the easter hunts (of all varieties haha arte!) go off and the kids have a ball!

G: 200 eggs?! that is some serious egg hunting lol.

MP: hats off my dear...hosting such a big event at your place is so cool; i just dont have the stamina these days...

Oz: dont get lost!! stay here with us

Sherie: oohhaaa must remember never to show her the crazy frog song (that is the one where he is riding a motorbike right?!). atm leila is content with richard scarry on youtube and i plan to keep it that way for as long as possibe lol.

MD: oh wow. that must be a spinner having H so big now! gosh, it really does happen! they grow up and become big people

AFM: well i went to the city to check out the myer mid season sale...TBH it wasnt all that good...DJs also were doing 30% off everything so i guess that also made it pale in comparison lol. then i hoofed it to target and bought up in their 50% off second item deal. bought up on those simple long sleeve tops with the small ruching and a pair of jeggings for leila.
