Rach: Your welcome. Yes I can still manage not alot of time, but I do get on her now and then. The 2 older children are at school, and the 2 little ones are at home. I am sad to say yes I let the TV babysit my DS 2 while I am running around cleaning the house and doing DH business paper work etc. There is no right or wrong way, it's what works best for you at the time, and it will change.
Kate: I find thoughs days the toughest... So that is when little miss goes into her bed to grizzle/cry. Granted I don't let her get worked up, but there were days she would carry one for 45mins. Now thank god she has got in her little head "if mum puts me in here I might as well go for a nap,
'cos no matter how much I grizzle and call out for her she isn't coming back in until I have a nap". Now she is a dream to put down.
Granted she is still in her bassinette, and I plan to get as much out of that before I move her to her cot. Only 'cos she is the last and I wont be having another one to fill the bassinette again... :(
Well best be off we have commuinty ohouse today, DS2 loves it, and it gets me out of house and talking to other people. just waiting for sheets to finish is washing machince so I can hang them out before I go.
Have a Lovely day to all...

 Kate sorry to hear your having sleeping troubles, those days are tough just when you think you have it sorted they change again.
Sarah even though DS is only 4 months he loves Sesame Street so I sometimes put him in his jumperoo to watch so I can get some housework done
-
Hi ladies, just checking in :) taking Nath for his needles tomorrow not looking forward to it but DH is on holidays atm so will be easier with him there
-
Rach, hope all goes well tomorrow. needles suck!
We have a jolly jumper thing here, your previous post reminded me - might get it out tomorrow and see if my little one likes it.
My little one had a 3 hour sleep this morning- bliss! We then went to a BB meet today at a play centre, and I also got a letter from the hospital so it's been a pretty good day. When we were at the play centre, Miss Daisy had a poo-splosion. I went to change her nappy but had to remove multilayers. I had spare clothes in the car, but the bag i had brought in only had nappies & wipes. SO, i just took everything off, changed the nappy and then put just the clean denim overalls over the top, bib back on & took her back out. Then i wondered if that made me a bad Mum!
-
Yay for sleep Kate :) Glad you had a good day. Gotta love those poo-splosion's all sorts of fun for everyone especially in winter when they are dressed in a million layers.
-
Hi
Just checking in to see how everyone is going. Hope your little cherubs are healthy and letting their Mums sleep.
take care

Hi girls, my little pudding is sitting here next to me starting to stir so this will be short..Kate i hope the hospital came up with some answers for you?? Did you ever put what went wrong in print here?? I am on so rarely these days I would have missed it for sure...definatley not a bad mummy..number 3's are so unexpected and come at the worst times..I never carry enough clothes these days so on occasions have had to mop up and make do..never quite as big a disaster as you have had though.
Did you get the imms done in the end..I broke Tillys up into 2lots so it was'nt as much strain on her kidney ( it would have been okay I think) I just felt better that way!!
Sarah I hope all is welll at your end...are you super busy (ier)now that your little miss is a bit older and sleeping less.. man i have so little time for anythign other than the kids at the moment.. I am looking forward to next year when i have 2 at school..hopefully I wuill be able to spend more time with the little ones and do some more play type things..at the moemnt they get dragged to kinder/school , shops, kindy/school pick-ups, swimming lessons, playdates and then when we are at home they get to sleep so there is barely anytime for play.
Hi Rach...(((((waves :))))))))))
Tilly is doing great..soon to go for our 4mnonth check up but she will be over 6kgs, she is getting chubby and long, just put a bonds size 0 suit on her and it fits nicely..I can't remeber if I told you her kidney nuclear medicine test showed she had no function.. which is better than having a tiny bit..cause that can casue high blood pressure..she was a real trooper cause thye had loads of trouble geting the canula in ( even tried her ankles???) after attempt number 6 thy got it in her arm..I was so close to taking her home and telling them to shove there test.. I am still BF and comping but not for much longer, she is starting to get annoyed with me (just too slow and not enopugh and is starting to refuse me) except at night in bed, then she likes it..she has taken to waking up between 2am-4am for a feed.but goes straight back to sleep and usually sleeps to around 7am-8am,unfortunaly for me DD nearly 2 is waking about 5am so I don't get back to sleep very often these days..and I am ssoooooo tired...whinge whinge..
anyway enough about us.. Hi to everyone else sorry about my long absences..I have too much on my plate and have been taking some time for me in the evenings, ebay and long baths when the kids are in bed..
-
Glad Tilly is doing well :) she is such a little trooper. Know how you feel about the breast feeding and comping we were doing it here as well but at about 8 weeks Nath started refusing the breast all together and up until last week I was expressing his day time feeds but have just stopped as it was taking me about 2hrs to express enough for just 1 feed instead of 3 like I had been previously so Nath is now on formula :( He has also started on solids as he has more than doubled his birth weight - he now weighs 9kgs so :o
Hope everyone and their bubba's are doing well, I am off to enjoy some sunshine with the cheeky monkey :hello:

Afternoon ladies,
sorry I have been MIA, DH brought me a Cricut Expression machine for my scrapbooking, and I have gone abit over board with buying cartridges from US. They are so cheap compaired to buying them here from $66-125 each. I got 5 for less then $125. I know I must stop. I have also being trying to get DS 1 birthday invitation done with it too, but I keep changing mind on how I will do it. I really wouldn't like other mum's to think the same as I did when DS1 was invited to a party either on in year, and the little kid sent Homer Simpson with a Beer in hand out to a 5yrold party.
My pop died of a heartattack last sunday so I had to fly up to the funeral. Oh what fun that was(not). I wont go into it, but alot of waiting around in airport then driving 3-4hrs down to Ulladula. Hey fun times. I am so glad to be home.
Took all kids today an hr drive to office works to get new laser colour printer. The one we have is huge, and I wanted to make get a little one(compact) so now DH has to hook it up when he gets from the farm. I went and brought it so only fair he hooks it up.
Anyway some personal...
Kate: LM has always since birth poo-splosion. It's very rare if she doesn't. Non of my others were like her almost every time. I only take one change of clothes with us. And if I run out will just buy another suit depending on how long out I will be but if not long then I will change her nappy and leave her in bad clothes until I get home then change.
I didn't get to read your hospital storie either, yet I know when I had a bad experience with DS1 I made complaint after his birth they only told me they would talk to the midwife in question and didn't hear any more back. Not good enough but not alot else I could do. I hope you go better answers.
Rach: My LM goes for her 4m old needs on Wednesday and I am not looking forward to it. Gee, he is early starting on solids. Me I am holding off as long as possible for 2 reasons. 1 'cos she is my last and I want the baby as long as possible and 2 'cos I don't have much time to maker her own food up. DS2 (no3child) just had what we had only preed up. So I might do the same with her. We are having pumpkin soup tonight, so I might give her a try she is watching us eat, and I know that is a sign.
Pam: Yeah am going fine, kids all still alive so I haven't had much time to self. Normal when I am on Ebay I have LM on lap. She still has 3-4 naps a day. Most naps with last 2-3hrs. And her late afternoon nap (after3pm) is normal only an hour. But getting plenty done.
We are the oppiste here. My day is organised around the children and their actvities. Monday DS1 home from kindy so we do my stuff like shopping etc on that day, or walking to town. We have play group on Tuesday the home for a day nap for both. Wednesday DS1 is home again so my stuff or walking or playing out in back yard etc. Thursday we have PlayGym then home for a nap, and Friday is community house. So I do lots of things with the littlies when the 2 older children are at school. I am some time too buggered to get much else done.
Well I better get going esp while LM is alseep. Oh LM is also trying to roll, she get on her side and gets stuck. Other wise she can turn her self around in a circle on the mat.
I am also having issue's logging in to BB. Not impressed, I've had to reset password 4 times in last week.
-
Sarah sorry to hear about your pop :( Sounds like you have a lot keeping you busy
It was a little early for solids but he was watching us like a hawk when we were eating and making chewing movements, chewing on his bottle :)
-
Rach: Yeah have heaps to keep me busy.
Yeah LM is doing that, she didn't really like pumpkin soup, but I will slowly introduce her to food over the next 2 months as well as BF her.
-
Hi all...well hi to the small few that still pop in here!!
All is well here on the home front! We are having needles this friday and had our 4 month check up today. Amaya is chugging along nicely, breast feeding is a dream and probably seems like it more so cos I exclusively expressed to feed DS for the first 9months due to his cleft lip!!!
I ended up getting a Wrap Me Up which is just a cotton interlock sleeping bag. So fits really snug and they are able to have their arms up abouve their head and hands are covered. So she sleeps way better not being swaddled. In bed by 8.30 and sleeping till around 2-4am having a feed and back to sleep till 8am. So I feel nice and refreshed to tackle the days with my two year old as well!!
Me...I am just busy doing day to day things and not getting much time on the computer. I really prefer the old bb layout and I have logging in issues to so I just give up!!
I'm not doing the solids just yet. I waited to 6 months with DS so I will do the same with Amaya. Everyone has their own way of doing stuff, you just have to be extremely careful of allergies when you start them this young and watch they are still getting the right amount of bmilk or formula or their growth will be affected along the track.
Well off to watch a bit of tv and then bed!
Talk soon
xoxo

Morning all,
Was thinking of checking in last night to see what has been happening, but got to busy on new photography site. Stayed up late too till 9:30. (normal in bed by 7:30-8pm)
Anyway LM had her needle last Wed and she came and slept most of the next two days away. Was having to wake her up for boobie, as they were filling and and starting to hurt.
She is 7.352kg. She has only put on 3.157kg since brith which isn't alot when she gain 1kg in the first 6 weeks. They didn't measure her but I know she is long... She is really only fitting into 00 clothes and it's so depressing, as I though they streaded out into 000 for awhile. So I brought heaps of 000 and hardly and pretty 00. So in track set, which I hate as they don't have feet attached, which means she has to were her slippers, or nothing... I don't like putting them in shoe until they are over 1yr as they have to wear them for the rest of there lives.
I also gave up on the starting to indurce solids to her. I'm to busy with the house and other kids and eBay. If I am eating an apple, I will put if near her mouth to see if she want's a suck and most times she will. I will have to fish out her food next holder. Looks like a big dum only has a net so you can put peices of fruits, biscutes etc in it would worrying they will chock.
Oh, she is trying to roll over. Her little arm gets stuck and he hugh thunder thighs done help her...
Anyway I better go, how is everyone else doing.
-
We had our 4 month review last week too. Bub is exactly 6kg and 63cm long with 42cm head, so long, skinny with a big head! Everything going well, still breastfeeding. No solids yet. She can roll from tummy to back, so she gets out of tummy time. She still hardly sleeps, especially during the day.
The bathroom reno starts this week, today is demolition day. Then we have 3 weeks of bucket baths and dropping into mates places to scam a shower. We have a camping shower but it is bloody freezing here so i don't think it will get much use. Little one falls asleep to noise and vibration, so maybe having the builders here will be a good thing!
I am hoping to get to the movie showing tonight of "Throwing out the lies with birthwater". If my little Miss is happy enough tonight, DH will stay home with her. I just have to express today so he has milk if she wakes up.
Off to have one of my final showers!
-
Hey all
Kate: Yeh on the bathroom reno getting started. Bummber about no bath/shower at your house for a few weeks. I am dreading that when we get ours done. But it will look get in the end.
Nothing much to report. LM can roll over by her self now. So she is off.
Oh DS2 can open the child proof gate on kitchen so am going to talk to DH and just get him to take it off there for now until LM starts crawling. I've had gate on kitchen for the last 4 years and I am over it...
-
just want to drive off today and leave her home alone. she won'tsleep and is driving me crazy. she has has 2 poos so should be happy. had a bath should be ready 4 sleep, had boobfeeds. n who knows what she wants. don't care any more either. just want her to sleep or be awaek but happy. whatever
-
Oh, kate I feel for you. I had that day as well today and yesterday. All she wanted was to be cuddle instead of having her lunchtime nap like normal.
It's very rare that LM is awake for more then 2hrs, and when she is and doesn't want more boobie, I just put her on the floor and now I am on computer ranting. Then I will get all the kids costumes ready for 2morro night before I go back to her, even is she is crying. I gave her, her time, and she decided to waste it, so now I have to get other things done...
I'm sure it not just us but everyone else has had them days too. Go and hang the washing on the line or something away from her.
-
Thanks Sarah
I had to go buy paint, so she had mini naps in the car and was happy in the pram at the paint shop. I then went to a mates house to have a shower (bathroom reno means no shower at home, which is not helping) and she looked after the little one for awhile. She slept from 7.30pm til 1am and then woke for a feed but didn't want to go back to her bed. each time i tried she got all worked up so it was easier to keep her in with us. i thought she was going to go down for a sleep this morning but no such luck. however i think i hear her filling her nappy so that is probably why. hope this arvo is better.
i have to take clothes to laundromat and trying to work out how to carry her and laundry and what to do while it washes. urgh, bring on the end of the reno! can't believ you lasted with on going reno's for so long!
hope your little miss is having a good day
