Bleh. I'm feeling pretty low. Too many wake ups in the night the last couple of nights (3 each night), plus early up-for-the-day times and a very physically and mentally exhausting day yesterday. I went to a surprise party for my uncle today, just me and the boys as DH went to the soccer, and cried all the way there. Gave everybody there a bit of a worry I think because I was crying when I got there too. I think it's just total exhaustion. I feel like crying again now, but just don't have the energy!
-
Dis, :hugs: I know the feeling. I was up several times last night too. And our start to the day was 5am. The kids have been in feral moods and DH went to a wedding in the city last night and didn't get home til 6am today. He'd had no sleep so I didn't get a break or nanna nap like I was hoping to. He works this whole week too, so no break til the weekend for me. I am feeling really frigile again. Had a few cry's today. Just feeling really ****ty.
I'll tell you how bad I am...this is a bit of a long story, but funny, so bear with me. Early yesterday I went to finish off our grocery shopping and to get fruit and veg. Debating if I should drive or just use a trollley for the trip home with the shopping, I drove down to the shops even though they are only one block away, thinking that if it is all too heavy to carry home, then I have the car nad it won't matter. So I drive down there, potter around, have a strong, hot, coffee, (hmmmmmm, yummm, cooofffeeee!) two or so hours later, I did what I have to and go. I walk home with a trolley and all of the stuff, which by the way was waaayyy too heavy for me to carry home. Huff and puff up the stairs put everything away and help DH get ready for the wedding and get on with my day at home with the kidlets.
Fast forward tot his arvo. DH and I go down stairs with the kids to go to mums for dinner. We ge to our garage, fully open, no car. We look at each other incredulously and sya where is the car??!! DH asks if I went anywhere yesterday with the kids or anything. I tell him no I stayed home all day, just shopping in the morning. It did not even tweak my memory that I had had the car that morning.
Sooo, I ring the police hotline thing and report the car missing/stolen. STILL not remembering that I had had the car, even telling the operator I had seen it last on Friday arvo/evening after work.
Call mum to come and pick us up, the car is stolen. Whilst waiting for mum, I am thinking about when I saw the car last, really retracing my steps. I say out loud to DH 'OMG'.......he asks 'What?' I say 'I had the car yesterday morning. I took it to the shop. I think it's still at the shops....' He looked at me and said 'You're serious!'
Yes, yes I was serious . I had taken the car to the shops, then forgotten to bring it home  I couldn't believe I had forgotten my car. How dumb can one person be, seriously??? So we went down to the shops when mum came and found the car, all good. DH took it to the local police station to tell them all was actually ok, he just has an idiot for a wife. I am so embarressed. But it does make me appreciate my piece of **** car!!
Hope that brought a smile to your faces :D I am going to bed to rest my stupid head now......

Hello all good to see some chat in here:)
Iona, glad you have popped back in. I am not very good at keeping up with the ttc thread as they all know each other and to be honest, i dont have the time to sit and read and remember!!! Hows it all going? Are you still up in QLD? Hope my memory serves me right.
Mel- sorry youre having a bad time of it. I saw your boys on fb, they are so cute and look so alike.
Kel- youre so funny!!! Sounds like you had a good time down the shops though!
Us- well, todays been pretty good. Bec has had about 5 solid poos and Liv 3! I was so over poo yesterday after 6 days of gastro that I cried! I have decided I dont like sick kids, so I am going to swap them over when they are sick. Hopefully this is the last of it til next winter, although Bec is cutting her 6th tooth and is starting to sound a bit rattley. She gets so unwell cutting teeth.
Sleep...well I dont want to rub it in or jinx myself BUT...I have managed three nights in a row of 6hours straight. Please, I hope it continues.
-
Hi!
Jen - Ooh...yum pink cupcakes!! Hope you had fun shopping!! Bugger at being uncomfy...at least it's for a good reason!!!
Mel - Glad the girls are on the mend!! Hope af arrives for you soon!! LOL on Adam putting the girls to bed with shoes on - that's a crack up!!
Kaz - Hope you had fun at the show today!!! Good luck with ttc...it can be tricky business!! Sounds great that your dads coming down to help out with the renos! Sorry to hear about the funeral of your uncle
Iona - Great to hear from you!! How exciting ttc no.2!!! I hope it all happens quickly for you!!
Disgirl - Sorry to hear your feeling so low...I hope you manage to catch up on some sleep! Big hugs...xo
Kel - Sorry to hear your buggered as well...hope the kids sleep ok for you tonight...Omg - that's so funny forgetting your car - talk about sleep deprivation!! LOL!!! I was giggling away reading....
As for me...starting to feel a lot better - I feel like I'm getting my energy back finally!! Boys are sleeping pretty well and we finally got the housework done today because the pil were dropping in. Michael helped with it all though and it still took all arvo! LOL! Was so feral...
The show on Friday was GREAT!!! We had sooo much fun... I definitely couldn't have done it without the help of my friend. They loved the ferris wheel and went on some rides. Louis walked the whole time as well and just did so well - only had a meltdown right at the end which was fair enough!! They both chose to share a showbag so they could have a freddo frog one as well! Very cute. Louis held a snake as well which was really great!!
It's so nice to feel a bit more back to normal...it's like a fog has lifted. I'm actually laughing with the kids again and they're better behaved as well...lots more fun to be had around the house that's for sure!!
MIchael is feeling much better now which is good as well!!
Ok...been writing in between Rove ads...LOL! So tired though after a late night last night and early morning so must head off to bed!!
Chat later!

Hey All,
Well I must say i am glad some of us are feeling crappy and not just me!
Beau has had gastro again since last Wednesday and is very over it as am I. Mel what did the nurse say 7days? Last time he had it like this and I took him to hospital but it was pointless:rolleyes:
Aside from that, had my mum and her husband here this weekend as DH was away, mum's husband frustrates the beejesus out of me so it isnt really pleasant for me! Mum just spends the whole time saying "whats he saying?' about Beau even when its quite clear - then he was crying a lot this morning as he was tired after 2weeks of 5am wake ups, buggerall naps and mum says to him "put on a happy face!" Yeah, he is two dude! Thats not gonna help! Anyway I really do love her but two days of them both is my max I think atm! Hope she is gonna be ok with him when I have the cesarean
Kel- You silly tired thing! I reckon thats a pretty big sign that you need a break! Hope DH saw it that way, you arent nuts you are just burnt out. I feel too like I havnt had a break when DH is away, I just want to sleep for a hundred years at the moment.
Dis- Your poor thing crying all the way to your uncles party. How were the boys last night? I cant wait for daylight saving, at least it will be 6am, not 5am on the clock. Hope you are feeling ojk today and no more tears.
Mel - Glad the girls are back to normal with their poo's - hope AF comes fast so you can start all the fun again this month! Think I am going to get a water purifier for Beau to drink his water from, do your girls have tap water? I reckon he has giardia.
Kris- Glad you had such a good time at the show (and the boys!) I am still waiting for my energy to return LOL, actually, it did for a while but its left the building again now.....
Ok Beau is crying after 30min, here we go again........
-
Hey Jen thats no good. The nurse said between 5 and seven days and if its not clear after that then go to the drs. She was just making sure Bec wasnt dehydrated. So plenty of fluids..I got pedialyte...dry toast (she said white bread...i dont feed my girls white bread but had some of dhs) obviously no dairy, so i was feeding them pasta and heaps of potatoes (had to put a dash of milk in that). Thats interesting about the water...maybe you need to get it tested?
We are sitting out on the deck...girls are grubby as all get up and go. Olivia still refusing undies, so we are doing he nudie run again! Livs started dribbling a lot lately. I wonder what it is because shes not teething. I remember I used to dribble...still do (conversation content though@)
-
Hi!
Jen - Oh poor Beau (and you for having to deal with it of course!!) I hope he's better soon! I can relate on the frustrating parents thing!! LOL! My mum was on the phone to me for 4 hours today - ****!!!!!
I hate to say it but your energy levels are probably going to drop as you go on in your p/g...make sure you rest up and try and get some decent sleep - how far along are you know??? Bugger you not having a ticker - LOL!
Mel - LOL on the nudie run - I struggle most days to keep my boys with their pants on...LOL!
We had a quiet day...other than my mum on the phone for most of it! Managed to keep the house clean so I was happy! Michaels out and the boys are asleep so it's nice and peaceful for the meantime...
Not much really happening...

BIG, BIG BIG  to those of you with sick kidlets :( I think Liam is getting sick again too, he was coughing alot last night and had a fever at 4.30 this morning. Mind you both of the kids slept til then when he woke for a feed. Then Lil was up at 5 this morning for the day :( so I've been awake since 4.30....at least Liam went back to sleep til 6.30 I guess. I'm hoping we have a repeat of the night, just a bit later wake up call, even 6 is so much better than 5am!
I'm still feeling a bit fragile in my emotions, but I had a chat to DH and feel better. Apologised for being so scatter brained and nasty! I tried to go to the doctor yesterday, but there were 10 people in front of me. It would have been about a 2 hour wait and I was not going to wait that long!! I had the day off work and the kids went to mums and childcare and DH was at work so I had time alone. I miss my time alone at home!
Yes, my little escapade to the shops and forgetting the car.....well DH is never going to let me live that down! I do make a BIG point of saying 'well that's just how tired I am!' Particularly in front of mum who I had asked earlier in the day to look after the kids for a few hours so DH and I could spend time together. She wouldn't said she hadto go shopping to get a few things. Not that she couldn't do it the next day, it was jsut an excuse. DH is pretty good seeing when I need a break and he gives me time out when he can. But being a cop, he needs time out too, and time to sleep cause he works such long shifts. The other day he worked 15hours. Then came home helped out with the kids a bit, slept for 4 hours and went back to work. He sees that I'm struggling a bit and does what he can now. Rather than just letting it go like he used to. But aaannyway!
Ok gotta go and put the little man to bed.
-
Hi girls,
just a quick one from me - have any of your lil ones suffered from nose infections. luke seems to get them continuously, and the dr just says that it will get better once his immune system matures. Sometimes it leads to lil nose bleeds. Not sure if I should request seeing a ears/nose/throat specialist.
I know it doesn't help that we have a lot of building going on around us so the dust would contribute to it (we are in a new estate and were one of the first houses up), but just feeling a lil concerned and I don't want him on the antibiotics again
-
Hi girls,
Okay, I'd better warn you all I'm in a funny mood that I get in every now and then where I can't seem to concentrate very well, so I won't be able to do proper personals for a while. Usually only lasts a week or so and then I should be back to normal. Everything just irritates me when I get like this and I jump around from one thing to the next. It's due to lack of sleep and I'm catching up on that (two nights of decent sleep now - yay!), so let's hope I'm back to normal by the end of the week because I do miss this place.
Actually, I'm doing much better today - read through all the posts on here and everything! Mum called me again today to check to make sure I'm still sane after my outburst on Sunday. She's coming over on Saturday with Dad to have the kids while DH and I go to the movies! Only the second time DH and I have been to the movies in two years!!!! We're seeing Up in 3D - it is Disney/Pixar after all. I'm very excited about it.
We went shopping this morning and I spent about $200 on Thomas stuff!!! Mostly clothes and shoes, but a few trains and books as well and a computer game for Ben's Clickstart computer (which he loves). I survived the shopping with the two of them, which is an achievement since I only have a single pram.
Wow, I can't believe how much I've written - maybe I am getting better already!
Hope you're all well :)
-
Hi!
Kel - I can totally relate to not having anyone to give you a break!! My mum will on occassion watch the boys so we can have a date night (only midweek) and other than that I have the boys ALL the time...I envy those people that have parents around to take the kids off their hands and give them a break...
Iona - the nose infections don't sound great...It woudn't hurt to get him seen to even if just to ease your mind...
Dis - Hope you feel better soon and keep getting great sleeps!! Sounds great that you and Dh will have an arvo to yourself to go to the movies...
What a fun shopping spree!! I'm thinking I'm going to have one like that this week - need to shop for Louis' b'day and get them some new summer clothes...might have to layby I think!!
I'm having a lazy day today...just chilling out with the kids!!
I've booked in to start Yoga this week which I'm soooo excited about! Also organised a night out to the movies with my friend and some get togethers!! Feeling like I'm going to need to make the most of my time between weaning Ethan in the next couple of months and before the next bubba arrives...
Oh - the grossest thing happened earlier...I was having a glass of coke (I know - it's awful - it's my drug of choice at the moment for the caffeine hit!!) and I walked away and came back and took a sip and felt a lump in it and spat it out all over myself...and there was a SPIDER!!! Only one of those little jumpy ones but it was in MY MOUTH!! Sooooo gross....I felt so ill!! MIchael had a good chuckle though when I told him on the phone...yuck...
Ok..better go - chat later!
-
Hey all just bumping the thread....AF arrived today...yay, finally. Hope you all have a great weekend...carn the Saints:)
-
Hi!
Mel - Yeah on af arriving!!! Hope this is the month for you now!!!
Hi to everyone else - hope you all survived the dust storms!!
Not much here really...We all went shopping yesterday arvo and I was so buggered for some reason. Been getting lots of headaches - probably hormonal!
Kids were up early today - I think Dylan woke up first at about 5.45am - Michael put him back to bed but they still both got up then at about 6.30am...little buggers...Ethan was up about then as well...grrr...Michaels having a bit of a sleep in and then I'll get some chill out time which will be nice!
I"ll be home alone with the kids again tonight cos he's got his cousins 18th and we're not allowed to bring the kids - it's only a party at home so I can't see what the problem would be - I would have only taken them for an hour or 2 anyway..nevermind. It's so cold and miserable that it's probably best to keep them rugged up at home anyway!!
Ok..hope you all have a great weekend!!
-
Hey All,
Good Luck this month with TTC! Hope its your month.....
Kris I hear you on the headaches, I have them every few days, not sure if its sinus pain or what but panadol does jack!!!
Us- just got back from a kids party on a point at the beach in the wind, my eyes havnt opened fully yet from all the dust! B and DH asleep, I am buggered, Beau up at 4am but I cant sleep:rolleyes: I am so over early wake ups!
Have a good weekend all.....

Hi girls! Feeling much better now :)
DH and I went to see Up in 3D Gold Class today and it was awesome! Sooooo loved the Gold Class, I could get really use to that :) The movie was really, really good too. It was the first time DH and I have had some time alone since Jared was born! We needed it too. J had a bottle of 140mls while we were gone, the best yet. Mum said he was looking for more too, so next time I will be more prepared.
Jen and Kris, I'm hating the early starts too :(
Kris, I don't get the no kids thing for that party either?!?! We didn't go to my cousins' wedding last week because they wouldn't let us take Jared. Ben fair enough, we wouldn't want to take him anyway, but an 8 month old baby? It was on Friday afternoon too... how can they expect us to find a babysitter for then? Not that I could have left him anyway, with his booby addiction
Mel, fingers crossed for this month!!!!

Hello ladies!
Sorry I haven't been around much, I have been reading, just too lazy to post!
We are all ok. Liam is getting sick again I think, he's turned into one big sookypants. He's driving us nuts!! I'm hoping he doesn't have an ear infection or anything, but I think it's just teething and a cold or allergies. He's got three new teeth in a few weeks and there and three more trying to come up. One keeps popping out and going back in, poor little man! Last night he fell asleep at 5pm, and though he woke a thousand times through the night for cuddles and booby, he didn't wake for the day til 5.30am! He's been waking that time most mornings anyway some have even been about 4.45 (*yawn*!!!), no later than 6am so I was pretty happy with that (well, as happy as you can be waking at 5am!).Believe it or not it's Lily whos sleeping in til past 6.30, some mornings even after 7!! I hope she continues with that and that Liam sorts his stuff out! Though last night Lily was up about 4 times as well. I think I was up about 7times last night with one or the other. DH tried to help, but the kids are both rather attached to me at the moment for some reason!
I had a great me day yesterday. DH gave me some time to do what I wanted. I went to I had a lovely day, I went to the shops, had breaky, and a yummy coffee from my fave cafe. Then had a browse for a dress or something to wear to high tea in a few weeks time. Used my gift voucher for a neck, shoulders and back massage (ahhh, bliss!). Did some fruit and veg shopping. Came home and DH took the kids to a playcentre so I could clean the house a bit in peace and quiet. Prepared dinner tidied what I could before the monesters came home. Kids and DH came home 2hrs later and I played with the monsters for a while before Liam was jsut too grumpy to ignore anymore so I bf him to sleep at 5pm. DH cooked dinner while I played with Lil. Ate dinner, bathed Lil. Had a hot bath and read my mag I brought...ahhh, all up a loverly day! Pity about last nights *****ty sleep, a good nights sleep would have made it the perfect 24hrs!
Here's a post I wrote yesterday that might make you laugh:
At the moment we are going through the trials and tribulations of toilet training our almost 2 1/2 yr old. So far she has been doing really well. But today she was running around nudie and I heard the familiar little trickle of wee landing on tiles. I turned around saying 'Did you do a wee?...' She says to me 'Yeah, in the cup' and hands me a dripping little toy tea cup full of wee.....OMG! :wtf: DH were having a hard time trying not to laugh our heads off and trying totell her she has to wee on the toilet. She was adamant she could wee in the cup....pretty good aim for a 2yr old huh?
My charming girly girl...
Ok gotta go and make breaky. Hope you are all well, sorry for no personals, I will endeavour to keep up to date more this week!!
-
Kel, that sounds like a great day...did you remember to bring the car back this time!!!! Pitty you didnt have a good sleep. I wonder when your kids will start sleeping for you. I dont know how you do it. thats so funny about weeing in a cup, i would have burst out laughing big time. I got liv into a pair of undies the other day and we went through about 4 pairs but esentially went well.
We went to my brothers to watch the grand final yesterday....saints lost but was a good game. There were 2 young boys there, and Olivia showed everyone her lovely side. She did the whole tantrum thing, hitting, scratching. Shes hard work sometimes and then other times shes great! How long does this stage last for? When do they learn to share properly?
DH and I were talking again about ttc this morning. He wants to do it "properly" so we have a good chance at getting aboy and is prepared to hold off for up to a week....gosh! So at least I'll have him on board! Any tips? Those with boys...actually all of you.....did you just dtd on ovulation day or all the time? if my memory serves right, we were dtd all the time! I am starting to relax and am thinking we will have another girl anyhow and am getting used to the idea and am really warming to it actually. I think dh just wants someone to carry the family name.... anyway hope everyone is well. Have a good sunday, dont know what we're doing, its raining and freezing.
-
Kel, OMG, that's so funny with Lil peeing in a cup!!!
Mel, DH and I just DTD all the time with our boys. I had no idea when I was ovulating with J as I'd only had the one AF since having Ben and stopping BFing. So we were just DTD whenever we had the chance (a lot less frequently then when we concieved Ben. We were like bunnies back then!). We'll do the same again when it's time this time, but I don't know if we'll ever get the chance! With DH's crazy work hours we never seem to be in bed awake at the same time!!!
Us, we had a pretty bad night last night. I'm so tired at the moment, but I'm sure I'll get over it. DH has taken Ben out with him right now and I have Jared asleep. I think J is teething and he's had Nurofen every day for the last three days. I hate giving it to him so frequently, but it is literally the ONLY way he will sleep. We've tried the Brauers' but it doesn't seem to work for J like it did for B. We give him Nurofen and nearly exactly 20 mins later he goes to sleep. Poor bubba must be in so much pain!
Ben has been fantastic as usual. I sometimes wonder if I'd gotten a different bub the first time around would I have been so keen to have a second one so soon  He chatters away non-stop now and everybody can understand him about 90% of the time. When we saw the clinic nurse for J the other week she said that Ben speaks really well for his age, which we kind of already gathered... I think he gets the gift of the gab from me as DH is so shy and quiet!!!! It's the ONLY thing he gets from me though
Geez it's windy here today. Crazy windy. I put sheets on the line about an hour ago and they are almost dry already. I put five pegs on each sheet because I thought they might end up next door
-
Hi!
Jen - Hope the dust has settled!! My boys are up early but nowhere near some of your kids!! About 6.30am and that's driving me crazy!!
Dis - Glad your feeling better and had such a great night out!! You deserve it!! Bugger about the wedding...it was so cold here last night that I ended up glad to be staying home - LOL!!
Poor Jared needing his nurofen to sleep - hope he settles down soon...
Glad Ben is doing so well - it is very cute when they can talk so well and you can have little conversations!! I seem to have all chatterboxes somehow...maybe they'll all stop talking once they hit their teenage years - LOL!!! I love it though - especially as if they're talking they're not yelling, screaming or crying - LOL!!!
Kel - Sorry to hear Liams being a handful - I hope he doesn't end up sick again!!! Omg what an amazing day you had - I'm so envious - LOL!! That's great your dh is helping you out some more as well!! LOL at Lily weeing in the cup - how funny!!
Mel - Glad you had a good grand final day! Hmm...not sure with Olivia - I guess every kid is different and deals differently...I've been pretty lucky that my boys share quite well most of the time...who knows?? I think sharing is a 3-4yo concept though???
Hmmm conceiving boys - it was never intentional for us!!! The first time with Louis I had ovulation pains so we did it right on O. Dylan and Ethan I had no idea what stage of the cycle I was in - they were both flukes...and this time we'll have to wait and see - will be very interesting if it is a girl because as far as I can tell we dtd quite a few days before O so technically we should be expecting one...otherwise it just means dh has super strong male spermies! LOL! 6 more weeks until I find out - I'm very excited!!!
As for us, we had a good weekend. Had my mums b'day today out to lunch which was ok but cost us a small fortune - for all of us to go out now and get kids meals etc we're usually looking at around $80-100 for dinner!!! (in a nice restaurant anyway...)
Boys are well. Ethan took 3 steps yesterday!! Dylans good - cheeky as usual and showing me the usualy attitude - he comes out - what are you talking about mum? and what are you doing?? if you can imagine in the most cheekiest little voice...so funny.
My little Louis is going to be 4yo in a couple of weeks - I can't believe it!!! It's so full on - he's such a beautiful little boy...He's getting so big now though!!
Ok...early night for me tonight - Michael stayed out last night after the 18th and I never sleep that well when he's not home...
Chat later!!
-
Geez Kris the second one isnt even here yet LOL!! Feeling pretty crappy here, had a real down day yesterday - think the unsettled nights and sparrow fart mornings are building up. My belly button tis no more sob sob.....
-
LOL Jen...sorry to hear you're feeling down...I hope you manage to perk up soon - perhaps if you get some more sleep!!! Big hugs...LOL at no belly button - it will come back soon enough!
Nice to see the sun out today...I'm having a battle with Dylan at the moment trying to get him to have a sleep...driving me crazy!! He had snoozes over the weekend which was a miracle and then nothing yesterday and he was so cranky...now he won't go to sleep today again...GRRRR! He just knows I'll end up giving up that's the problem - MIchael got him to sleep on the weekend...
Chat later!!
-
Feeling a bit better today, nice day here. Might go for a walk to the park with Beau, a friend asked us to go to a play centre but Beau has a limited time span at those places and wont go on any of the older stuff (jumping castles etc) - anyone else?
Sorry you are battling with Dylans sleeps Kris, Beau is still easy to get to go to sleep but only sleeps for a short time so I dont know how much longer they will last anyway, hoping till the new bub comes. Hey are you going to get the swine flu vaccine? I am a bit nervous to.
-
Hi!
Jen - glad your feeling a bit better! A walk to the park sounds great - it's a nice day here as well so I should probably do the same thing!!
My kids go nuts at play centres...but we don't go very often - it costs a fortune for all of us to get in now so it is definitely just a treat - by the time we buy some food to eat as well it's around $25-30 mark!!! In saying that it probably wouldn't have hurt to go more over winter when the weather was awful!
Yeah..little bugger with his day sleeps - he fell asleep eating his dinner last night he was so tired...
Umm...didn't even know you could get a swine flu vaccine - LOL! Nup...I won't worry about it I don't think...
Ok...better have some brekky...desperately need to do food shopping today...running out of the essentials - LOL! Chat later!
-
Hi ladeeees,
LOL, Mel, you smarty pants, yes I brought the car back this time. But I forgot the kids...hehe, I wish sometimes!! (I didn't really!!!:p)
I've been wondering when the kids will start sleeping for aaagges!! We had an ok night last night, Lily woke 2 times (I think she's dreaming cause she's waking screaming), Li two times (I think...I think I fed him twice!!). But I got 4 hours straight before they woke! I went to bed early, at 9pm, so it was ok.
Yay that O is wearing ehr undies for you! Lil will wear them for a while, then takes them off with the rest of her clothes. I don't mind now it's getting warm. Though the other day we were at wiggles playcentre and she was in the ball pit and I was chasing Liam. I went to check on her and there she is in the ball pit with just her undies on.....the girl who was working there collected her clothes for me thankfully! I was so embarressed! My little nudist :D
With TTC a boy...I have no advice. I had no idea I was even pg with Liam for a while, so I don't know how he was concieved....well I know HOW just not when, lol!
Dis, yep it was pretty hilarious when she presented me with a cup full of wee. Charming!
I hope the kids are sleeping better for you. I know how horrible it makes you feel when you're sooo tired.
Kris, wow Louis is 4 soon!! Our kids are growing up sooo quickly huh?? Make me want another....lol! *CLUCKCLUCK*
Jen, sorry to hear you've had a few tough days. I know the feeling. it sucks feeling so down. It sucks to feel so tired. I'm glad to hear you're feeling a bit better today. It is a loverly day outside, getting out would probably be good.
As for us, well we're doing well this week. So far anyway! Kids have been ok, though Liam is a bit sooky, but I think hes just at that stage. I remember Lily doing the same thing about the same time. Whinging to be picked aalllll the time the I pick them up and they whinge to be put down . I have been trying to make an effort to do more like get out more. I went for a walk the day before yesterday with DH and the kids. I had training for work last night. This arvo I am going for a walk with a friend. On the weekend I drove out to Currans Hill, which is about 40mins away (out near you I think DisMel?) to see a girlfriend in her new house, with her new bub. I almost had a panic attack, I'm sooo not good at going where I don't know, especially with the kids in the car. I was petrified of getting lost, but I didn't! I thought my heart would jump out of my chest and my fingers would shake off my hands! I had to stop just before I got to her house to calm down. So I am trying to make sure I don't get too down and feeling sorry for myself!
Ok gotta go and get ready for work, childcare, mums....yada yada. Hope you all have a great day!
-
Hi all...sorry i am vague...watching hey hey....little distracted. Hope you are all well. I am happy coz I won tickets to the wiggles. I got 3 tickets, so i will take the girls and my mum. Bec turns 1 about 2 weeks before but is it bad if i just say shes not quite 1? She will sit on my lap anyway.
Liv had another day of wearing no nappy, but just her trackie dacks....then nudie...then jarmie dacks.... She didnt wet them at all and I kept forgetting to remind her to go, so shes pretty close to being trained, just need to be consistant with undies.
Ok, will catch up another time...red faces is cacking me up!

Hey All,
Never went for the walk yesterday and went to the playcentre instead, not again for a while after that!!!!....I always get trapped there cause Beau is ready to leave WAYAYYYYY before anyone else! Ugh, I know everyone thinks their kids are special, but he really is! He is just so sweet and sensitive and kids are throwing balls at him and trying to run him over on bikes and he just freaks out! Its probably my fault I guess. he sees other kids all the time but just not his type of kids....sometimes I wish he was the bully cause it would easier!
Mel- Good on you for winning tickets! I think Bec is close enough to one, what are they gonna do, ask for her id??? he he
Kel- Good on you making such an effort to get out and about, it is an effort though isnt it?:D Sometimes just walking and getting out of the house does wonders. I think my emotions are still all over, I burst into tears last night telling DH about my day! LOL at Lily in the ballpit in her undies, god knows what is under all the balls in those places!!!
Kris- Yep, vaccine available this week, I dont think I will do it either, I think we are over the flu season now hopefully. Yep, stinky playcentres! Cost me about $30 bucks yesterday just for Beau and I! Poor Dylan falling asleep in his dinner! Hope you can get him to sleep today....
We are off to playgroup today, I dont feel like going after yesterday's debacle but.....
Hi Kaz and Dis x
-
Jen- beau sounds really sensitive. Its awful to see other kids dominating your child iykwim. I dont think though that you want th bully thopugh. Olivia is a tough chicky and is often the one who is getting into fights with others...means you can relax and are constantly watching to make sure she doesnt hurt anyone. Shes not the type of kid who throws stuff at other kids...those one, in my opinion, would be a nightmare. Enjoy playgroup.
Last night we had a better night with the girls. They both went to sleep at 730. Bec woke at 11 for a feed and slept til 630. Olivia woke at 230 and I put her back to bed and fell asleep on the floor til 4, then she woke at 7. So essentially I got a great sleep. Olivia is still hasseling Bec....but at the same time shes trying hard to play nicely, with the odd kick thrown in! Like yesterday when she pushed her down the step....has a big bruise on her head and a scratched up nose.....ok the screaming has begun!

Hi girls,
Mel, YAY @ winning tickets to Wiggles. I am contemplating wether or not to get some for chrissy time...still not sure we could afford it just yet...they're not that exxy, we're just poor, lol! Plus all of the added extras that usually go with it all, food, transport, merchandise, blah blah. We always end up spending sooo much more than we plan to. We're not great with money! We'll just wait til the last minute to see what we can do!
Glad to hear the girls seem to be sleeping a bit better for you. We had a so so night. Lily woke three times absolutely screaming. I gave her nurofen at 4am cause she wouldn't stop crying. I don't know what her issue was but she slept til 6.50 after that! Liam on the other hand...he slept really well through the night, only waking once, but we were up at 5am. *yawn* I really hate these early mornings. I woul rather wake 5 times a night than get up at 5am. Soooo not a morning person.
Jen, B sounds like a sensitive little soul. Not like my monsters! Lily isn't too bad, she's not a bully, but can look after herself. But Liam....well lets just say I'm not looking forward to him growing up! He's a bit of a bully already, pushes Lil around and slaps her in the face to get her dummy, slaps me in the face...anyone holding him really! And he tells people off for not doing what he wants and throws tantys too, good ones- the throw himself on the floor kind! *sigh*
Yep, trying to get out more. Be aware of what I'm thinking and try to stop my emotions boiling over. I'm sick of feeling sorry for myself. I went for a walk with a girlfriend yesterday, took the kids on my own and all! She did end up pushing Lil in the pram, but I was carrying Liam in the carrier. He's sooo heavy after an hour of walking! But it was good cause I wasn't home alone during those witching hours after school/work when the kids are feral. I just got home quickly cooked snags, veggies and mash, bathed the kids and put them to bed. Done!!
It is an effort for me to get out though. For some people they really hate being home and its not much effort to get out, but for me it's a big deal!
Yeah, I don't want to think of whats in the ball pit she was in....ick!!! I washed her well in the bath that night, lol!
Ok gotta go I've been sooo lazy lately. I need to pull my finger out and do some serious cleaning! And get ready for work....
-
Jen, Ben is a bit sensitive too, and has only just started sticking up for himself. My SIL is a childcare worker and taught him how to hold up his hands and say "STOP!" if a kid gets in his face. He's done it a couple of times and it seems to be working. He also flat-out asks them "Why are you pushing me?" or "You are not supposed to push!" DH and I couldn't believe it the first time he used supposed! He comes out with some impressive words sometimes!
Mel, enjoy the Wiggles! I haven't taken the boys, but I used to take my nephew - who is now 10 - every year :)
Kel, WTG finding your way to Currans' Hill. I have a friend like you who hates finding new places on her own. She doesn't have kids complaining in the back though - just her dog  If you ever want another meet-up let me know. Maybe one day I'll have my house respectable enough that you can come here. If you found Curran's Hill, you'd be able to find my place no worries :)
Hi Kris and Kaz, Jared is sooking so I've gotta run.
-
Yay, got Jared down for a little sleep before swimming. Last week he didn't have a sleep in the morning and was in a daze for the whole lesson.
Kris, how does Dylan got at the Learning Eggs? I saw the books at the Newsagent yesterday and they look really good. I know they are supposed to be for 4+, but I think Ben would enjoy at least the first level. He knows all his letters and numbers (at Woolies the other day he was sitting outside reading W-O-O-L-W-O-R-T-H-S much to the amusement of passers-by). The packs are $20 each so I think I might just buy the first level and see how he goes. If he doesn't like it, it's not a great deal lost. You also get a 14-day free trial of the website with each pack you buy. I'm just looking for new ways to keep him amused! He drives me nuts sometimes - yesterday he told me I was going the wrong way to the duck park and the proceeded to tell me which way to drive, and he tells me what ingredients to use when baking and cooking. Very bossy!
We had a yo-yo night last night. I was up every hour, except for once when J managed to sleep for almost two hours. It was horrible! I don't know what is up with him at the moment, but I miss sleep! We've had a busy week this week so that might have something to do with it. Yesterday we spent the morning at the park feeding the ducks and then the rest of the day at my SIL's so Ben could have a play with his cousin. The boys both missed naps because of it so that might be why J had a bad night. Ben, however, slept for 11 hours, which was fantastic! J was terrible last night too when I went to netball. DH said he cried non-stop for half an hour - very unlike him. At least we won netball - 37-1!!!!!
I now have to go and psych myself up for swimming lessons!!!
-
Hi girls, I'm still around.
I have my nieces today and last nite - oh my I have never seen my house such a destruction zone. One is 5 who luke loves following around, has since day dot and the other is 2 1/4, she's 3 months younger than luke. Love them to death but oh my I am tired....
Mel - yay on winning tickets to the wiggles. Luke's nanna (mark's mum) is taking luke to the wiggles - so one that i get out of but mark wants to take him to the thomas the tank engine show...i guess it's never ending from here on in.
Not much else happening here - just plodding along. Hope all our lil ones are doing great and so are all you lovely ladies
-
Sounds busy Iona...something I am looking forward to! Are you going into the ttc thread much? I dont think I can do it this time around. The girls are agonising over every single thing they do, every symptom. It just makes things more complex. So I am out of there...might pop in but cant do it all the time.
However in saying they are complex this swaying for a boy is something else! I drink lemon juice, grapefruit juice, robitussin, take epo, will be doing opks and check my cm all the time! I have never eaten so many bananas in my life and tomato sauce on everything...salt yuck, but doing it! I have been pretty good...seeing its our last go! The only thing I refuse to do flat out is stick things in me to make my environment more alkaline.....its all very intense!!!
Mel- I had a quick squiz at the reading eggs and it looks great...will wait for Kris to comment though. Hope you had a better sleep.
Kel- i saw that Lil is sick again. Its been a horrible winter period for it. Hope you got some sleep though.
I am in a bad mood this morning, but feeling better after my coffee and a surf. I am just over Olivia hurting her sister, screaming and being defiant. I need a break. DH is working tomorrow, then next week he has a whole day buck thing, then the following weekend is going to the moto gp at philip island, then the melbourne cup weekend is a Boys weekend, then he has to go to his grandfathers farm in Maldon to lay a slab of concrete for a suprise 80th bday present. So not much time for me coming up! Thankfully the occassional care starts up on monday and I will have a few hours to myself...luckily Olivia is looking forward to that!
Oh did i mention we had a drafts man come over to look at our house....i think we will be building in the next few months...if not after the new year! Better go!
-
Mel - I don't pop into the TTC much, just follow it...your right how it's not the same as when we were in there!! Not sure what it is about it but I just don't feel at home with it. My lil sis is pregnant with her third (it was an accident) but it's another girl, so she will have 3 girls. I don't think her hubby was too impressed, he wanted a boy but you can't help these things.
Can understand the bad mood thing - I think mine is PMS but yesterday Mark rings just after 12 - hello i have 3 kids here that want fed. I can't look up accommodation for you right now!! and than today he rings and blames me that he has misplaced his license...
So glad he's going away for 5 days for work while I'm PMSing, might be the best thing!!
Well ladies, it's friday and my 1 week holiday from uni is basically finished and I didn't do much. Hope you all have a great weekend!!
-
Hi!
Kel - LOL at LIly at the play centre with just her undies on!! You poor thing getting so anxious driving to your friends house!! But you did it which is great - it will be easier next time now!!
Bugger on the early mornings...Hopefully daylight savings make a difference to the kids (all of our kids - LOL!
I'm with you on getting out and about now...I used to be non-stop with Louis and Dylan but now that I've had Ethan and we've moved I don't do much at all. Part of that's financial, part is because I can't take them to activities because I don't have people over here to watch the boys and the part is because I can't be stuffed! LOL! Ethan doesn't like the pram though so to go shopping is always hit and miss because he can very easily crack it and want to be held and when I'm there with the 3 it's just to hard. And now I'm going to have another one - I think I'll be a super hermit next year!!!! Over winter won't matter so much I suppose...Also, in those early months I don't really go out on my own because I bf...I had mum promise all this stuff for next year but now she's moving an hour away in the opposite direction of everything so I can't see me heading all the way to her house and back again for a bit of peace and quiet - also....anyway...enough of my whinghing! LOL! Good on your for doing what you can though!!
Mel - Yeah on the wiggles tickets!!! That's great! I'm sure it will be fine saying she's not 1 yet! Poor Becca getting hurt...it must get draining watching them all the time...
Omg on doing all that for making a boy...I hope you get one!!! If you have another girl and I have another boy we'll just swap - LOL (just joking!!)
Wow on your dh being so busy coming up - that's no good...Michael has one weekend in Oct he'll be away for 4 days for a work getaway thing which I'm not looking forward to.
Yeah at starting your house extension soon - how exciting!!!!!
Jen - Louis used to be a little like Beau - I was also worried that he would be the bullied kid at school...even though he's still quite sensitive having younger siblings to hassle him has definitely hardened him up! LOL! It's a fine line though because you don't want them to become like those other kids but you want them to be able to stand up for themselves!! He's only young still - he'll learn alot in the next year or 2 - especially when he starts kinder...
Disgirl - That's great you've got Ben using "stop" we've taught Louis that as well. Even Dylan now if he sees someone do something they shouldn't will tell they're being naughty! LOL - very cute!! Ben sounds very clever!! Yep - I would get the first set and give the 2 week trial a go - Dylan can do the first 2 lessons on his own and we haven't got much further than that - although in saying that he was helping Louis with level 78 the other day doing the dot to dot!! There will be some things he can do on his own and some things he'll need your help with. It's mostly getting used of the mouse to start with - Dylan was using to hand a couple of weeks ago and now he can do it with 1 little hand!! I'm very impressed with both my boys!! Louis has completed all 80 lessons now!!! We're going to start incorporating the readers and the activity books now and start them all over again!! I think for someone like Ben who is obviously picking up on all that stuff already (sounds like Louis at the same age!) then he will LOVE it!!
If you log on to the website I think they have a free trial though so that would be worth signing up for!! That's what I did initially and I only just started paying for it...
Sorry to hear Jareds not sleeping well...Yeah at winning Netball!
Iona - LOL at your destruction zone!! Welcome to my house everyday - LOL!!! That's great you've got family that want to take them to those events!!!
As for us...Dylan seems to be sleeping every second day or so which is a big improvement...he didn't sleep yesterday again though and fell asleep at dinner again...we have to watch him though cos he' sits on the big chair and nearly falls off! LOL! Louis got up quietly this morning though and he slept in until 8am!! Woohoo!! I actually got a sleep until 7.30am this morning solid from about 11.30am last night!! Yeah!!
Ethan has been sleeping through from 7-8pm until 6.30-7.30am for the last 2-3 months without exception - even through 4 teeth so I"m completely amazed!!!! It's so nice!! And MIchael gets up to the 2 older boys so a lot of nights I have a solid sleep - I was starting to feel guilty for Michael getting up and then I remembered I have to do it ALL OVER AGAIN very soon! LOL!! So I"m going to make the most of my solid sleeps while I can!!
Hmm...a few hours later I've just found this sitting here - hate to be vague and not post - LOL!! Just had to clean up Dylans poo from all over the floor!! GRRR! He so knows he needs to go to the toilet but it to lazy or gets to involved with what he's doing - drives me crazy!!!

Hi all,
Well today has not gotten off to a great start...thinking it's going to be a not so great day. I don't think I got more than an hours sleep at a atime last night. Both Lil and Li woke, one after the other. Soooo tired. DH was on a night shift and is again tonight too. Just feeling so washed out. Hating the monotony. This place is a MESS and has been for about a week, but I just so don't want to clean it. I want to do something for me, but with a friend or better yet, DH. But that ain't gonna happen anytime soon. I don't want to be here on my own, but have no money to go out with the kids anywhere and I've called a couple of friends but they're busy. Just feeling sorry for myself and at a loss. So over it today. I just want to laugh and have a fun day. I'm sick of feeling so horrible. My back is killing me cause AF is comeing and I have been carrying BOTH the kids up and down the stairs the last few days, at the same time. Cause Lily is sick and Liam can't walk up/down them yet. I feel guilty cause I'm already snapping at the kids and they're already bored. God how having no sleep changes me. I hate it :(
-
OMG, I just realised I haven't changed the kids nappies and they've been up since 5.45am. How slack am I???????????????????
-
Hi!
Kel - You poor bugger...sleep deprivation changes everyone!! I've been grumpy with my kids this morning and I had a solid sleep, so I've got no excuses - LOL! I can't imagine how hard it is for you to be on your own so much with dh's work...that's a lot of extra pressure!! Don't be too hard on yourself - have a slack day and don't stress about the house - you can always do it tomorrow or when you feel you have an energy spike...
It's also not going to be helping that af is on it's way...just to add to it all!
I can relate to just wanting to smile and laugh - I at times also wonder where my lightheartedness has gone lately - I hate that feeling when you feel you couldn't smile even if you wanted too...It's an underlying feeling that is hard to change...sometimes it can feel like the weight of the world is on our shoulders and we're going to be in this moment forever but there will come a time where we can have our lives back (even just a little) I look at my sister now who can head down the street to do her food shopping and leave her kids at home (they're 10 and 12 but she's been doing it for the last year or so), she can go for a walk on her own etc Oh how nice that would be - and it will happen. And much before that they'll be at school and kinder so we will have glimpses of time again...
I have told dh that I won't be in a rush back to work the first year the kids are all at primary school - I'm going to enjoy having some time to relax and have peace and quiet - I'm actually very lucky - dh's mum was a stay at home mum until he was about 10 so it doesn't bother him that I'm at home...he is very supportive of whatever I want to do and for some reason I've always rathered do my own thing than just have a "job" - like my dance school and now wanting to do life coaching...I guess I watched my mum and dad work their butts off (literally - probaby 50-60+ hours a week) only to have have the family fall apart, lose everything and have to start from scratch financially again - no amount of money is worth that in my opinion...
Ok...sorry have turned it all about me! Just wanted to let you know that I relate to how you're feeling to a degree...
Quiet weekend here for us - Michael is working both days for a mate and I've woken up with a crappy headache that panadol has done nothing for...grrr...

Thanks Kris  :)
I know what you mean and I know these feelings, our situation is temporary. I just feel like I'm not me and I haven't laughed or been fun or funny, whistful, spur of the moment, whimsical for sooo long....kwim? So much responsibility, seriousness, monotony, routine. Same old same old. Even when we do do something different, it's still 'eat sleep feed clean' for some of the time.
You're luck that you have the choice to be home for some of the time. I so wish I could. By the time we will be able to afford it, the kids will be in school! DH is adamant that I will go back to work full time then, but I'm not so sure about that. I want to have time to do things I don't want to feel like this when I don't have to. I feel rushed, always needing to do something for someone else with no time to do it in. Always forgetting stuff cause my mind is so cluttered. So disorganised and I'm not usually a disoganised person.
Ok gotta go the kids are killing each other...
-
Kel - we won't be able to afford for me to be home but I will anyway...we can't afford for me to be home now! LOL! Our m/g payment takes up over half of dh's wages let alone food and bills and fuel! We've just racked up our credit card again and I'm sure it will go higher before christmas! With the new baby coming along next year I desperately need a new fridge (ours is only 300 and something litre) and with having to buy a new car....crazy! Having said that - I definitely wouldn't earn enough working now to pay for 4 kids in child care- LOL!!!
Everyone's circumstances are different and I can defnitely see that doing some work would be beneficial for a lot of people to have a break from home and the kids and feel like a real person not just a mum!!
I was reading that catriona rowntree (from tv) had a babymoon after having her new baby in Qld and stayed somewhere beautiful with her mum and sister (or something) and was having facials and pedicures and they were all looking after bubs - wouldn't that be nice???? What money could buy as a mother- babysitters, pampering for us! I'm sure if someone whisked me away to a day spa today to be spoilt I'd be a better mum tomorrow - LOL!!!!! hehehehehe.
All us "real mums" can do is take it a day at a time and make the most of any little things we can do for ourselves...a bath, massages from our husband, at home facials...jumping into bed early to read a book (not on parenting!!) and my favourite - daydreaming about the future!!!! I have big plans and sometimes can get frustrated as I feel like I'm on hold having this bubba - although I feel very grateful to be having it and that everything is going well it is hard after 5 years of being p/g and bfing without a break to be going back again! LOL!!
Ok...enough of my dribble (I think it's a bit of therapy for myself writing all this down!!) Chat later!
