Hi!
Mel - Thanks...it will all be ok...I think it's more that I'm feeling more sensitive at the moment...normally I deal well and know what to expect from dh but every now and then I let him get to me! LOL! Had a vent to my mum (she's still on the phone!!!!!! ****!!!!!) and feeling a bit better!!
Hmm...routine - Ethan's not in a super great one! The best thing I can suggest is making sure her arvo nap is short....? Ethan had his first sleep at 11.30am (after being up around 8am) today and up at 1pm...so he'll probably have a nap at about 4pm ish and then go to bed about 8pm...? I guess we'll keep that until he drops down to 1 sleep!
Got to run...have to make it down to the shops and haven't had a shower! Bugger mum talking my ear off - LOL!
-
oh grrrr, it looks like a post I thought I posted a couple of days ago didn't!
Mel - yes to AF. Meh. Hope you sort out sleeps soon!
Jen - mrrrrw on the dress & DH! it'll be a freakin' miracle if I get UTD again!
Kris - thanks to M for dropping the stuff around, DH didn't really talk much last night so I have no idea if he was even civil. Go figure! No good on men, they really don't get it.
Came home to find Pip still asleep from his lunchtime nap - well it started late around 3ish, so his sleep routine will be out. DH has taken the dog to the vet cause its drooling heaps, soaked through my jeans in about a minute, not good.
Fire's on - yum - and it's fish & chips night tonight - don't feel like it though, not really hungry at all. Ah well. Guess I'll enjoy my solitude. Man, no I won't, the child just woke :( Coughing :(
-
Hi ladies,
Sorry I have been MIA, I have been busy! As well as trying to have some quality time with DH and the kidlets, so no BB time...
Three full days work this week, woah, baby!! I am buggered. I fell asleep on the lounge at 7.30 this morning and slept til 6.45am this morning. No straight of course, still a million wake ups in between, but I was in bed all that time, lol! The kids have been sick again too, so no sleep in my house :( but nothing new...
Operation kids-in-their-own-beds was a dismal failure. DH gave up on it after three nights. I couldn't do it on my own. Liam is going into his cot for day sleeps and first thing at night. I try to resettle him each time in there, sometimes it works sometimes not. I usually end up bringing him to bed at about 2am. Last night there was 3 wakes before he went into my bed, he woke at 2am then he had a feed and slept til 5am then til 7am. Lily woke at 9 and DH resettled her in her bed, then 11.30 I resettled her in her bed, 1 she came into our room then slept til 4am when she wanted to get up and watch Dora. DH managed to keep her in bed til 6am then got up. So pretty *****ty really. I am now trying to prepare myself to get them both into their beds by christmas. I have 3 1/2 weeks off then (our centre closes for that long, not cause I want more time off!) so that will be time for me to do it. Even if I do it alone. I just have to get the idea set in my head. I will take their dummies too. And Liam can go into his bed, so no more cot. He'll be 17months so I think that should be old enough. Lily was about that age too when she went into her bed.
DH's holidays finish tomorrow. Back to work on Monday. Yuck. It's been nice having him home, though I haven't been home much, lol. But I have taken advantage of it and we should be getting some good $$$ coming in the next few weeks so that will be nice too. He's been cooking dinner and doing the daddy thing. Cleaning, not so much, but hey gotta start somewhere.
Sorry to hear some of you guys are having trouble with sleep. For me it's no different, so I'm over it, but for you guys who have half decent sleepers, then it is hard to go from sleeping to not! IYKWIM!!.
Kris, those pg hormones suck big time don't they! Make you do the craziest of things that you normally wouldn't. I hope you and DH sorted out your stuff. I'm sure you did. You guys have alot to deal with at the moment, so I guess you just have to take one day at a time. But on the other hand these men, they have absolutely NO IDEA!!!
Mel, my kids are in a bit of a routine, believe it or not! Lily wakes between 5-6.30am, has her nap at about 12-1.30ish, then bed time is at 7pm. Dinner is the only meal we have by the closk cause it's the start of the bedtime thing, so that's at 5.30, then bath at about 6, books/wind down time 6.30 then sleep. Liam wakes between 6-7am, morning nap between 9-10, arvo nap at about 2, no later than 3, then bedtime is 6.30 (or 7ish if DH is home). Dinner/ bed/ bath same a Lil. When DH is home it's easier cause he puts Lily to bed. Wehn he's not, I put on a DVD for Lily til Liam is asleep then I read her stories and lay with her to go to sleep. She's really good in that she won't bother me putting Li to bed and will watch the DVD til I come out which is usually about 20mins or so. If only I could get them to sleep all night!!!! Or at least only one wake up a night each....I could live with that.
Kaz, that AF showed her ugly head. I hope your doggy is ok. Maybe he ate something he shouldn't have?
Ok gotta go Li just fell over. He's walking with stuff now and was pushing the dining chair and fell over :(. And I should and dress the kidlets. We are going to watch my nephew play in his first soccer grand final. And tomorrow it's DH grand final. Fun filled weekend!
Hi to DisMel, Jen....and anyone else I have missed. Hope you all have great weekends!
-
Hi guys, another goodish night here - yay! Ben found his appetite again today too after not eating pretty much all week. Back to two sandwiches for lunch today :)
Jared was having a few sips of water out of a sippy cup this morning! Still spits most of it out, but at least we're making progress. I've just sterilised my pump so I'm going to try him on some EBM again this afternoon. Maybe, just maybe I'll be able to leave him with DH sometime this century!!!!
Kel, I bet you're glad to have your busy week over? Bummer that your DH is going back to work though. On the bright side, a soccer GF means that it's almost all over!
Kaz, hope your puppy is okay. Is Pip unwell again too? We are finally getting over illnesses here. J woke up without a snotty nose for the first time in a week this morning.
Both my boys are asleep so I'm going to duck into the bath while I have the chance. Haven't had a nice relaxing bath in weeks!
Hi to everybody else :)
-
Grrrr...looks like Ben is allergic to penicillin!
-
Oh no DG, how did you find that out? Did he have much of a reaction?
Pip still has his snuffles, I hate hearing that phlegm on his chest.
Trev's off to the Swans game today, I've finally got him out of the house with his friends!!! YAY!!!! Am wondering if Pip will be old enough to take next season? Would love for Trev to share it with his son ...
So this arvie I'm going to take him to a kids' park!
How's it going Kris, everything settled down again?
-
Kaz, he's covered in a rash which came up on day three of ABs. I'll be taking him back to the doc tomorrow as he's still a bit off today and the rash is still there. Doesn't seem to be bothering him too much, just a bit itchy.
I don't know what Pip would be like at the footy. I won't take Ben for at least another year, but Jared is really different and seems to really enjoy all the movement at the game. Don't know what he'll be like at 18m and 2years, but right now he's not too bad to take.
Ben won't go down for a nap now. He fell asleep on the way home from the inlaws and it looks like that might be it for a nap today :( I'll persist though, he is unwell and really needs some rest.
Jared looks so big to me today! His 5 year old cousin was holding him today and it really showed me just how much of a giant that boy is!
-
Awwwww, all that mumma's gold!
Hope he gets back to sleep, I hate it when they don't settle after a nap. Pip falls asleep usually within site of the house so has less than 5 mins sleep.
-
MEl- hope Bens rash gets better.
Kel- thanks for the tip on the routine. Am trying to get her down for an hour in the am and pm....didnt work yesterday but lets see how it goes!!!
Olivia has just slept 12 hours straight...a first! pitty her sister didnt follow suit! Bec went to bed at 9, up at 11, 2, 530 for good!
Better feed them...just looked over and bec is trying to climb out of the high chair!
-
Hi All,
I have a quick "me" post looking for some help - Beau has woken every hour on the hour the last two nights. He says his mouth is sore but I cant get in there to look. Its not ulcers as he isnt complaining when he eats (a little). Nuerofen hasnt helped, Panadol seems to a bit. On Saturday night he couldnt talk cause he had so much drool in his mouth. What teeth are due now? He has 4 molars already. Help?:wall:
-
The back molars are the last to come. Sorry but Liv teethed them for months and wasnt a happy camper. They are really big, I just gave her bonjella or sm33 with panadol and she seemed to be ok. Hope the cut quickly for you.
Me...am procrastinating. Livs at day care, bec is asleep. I have done the washing, dishes and tidied up. I should do bottles and book work but i have been on the computer most of the day sussingout my next move in the ttc for a boy campaign!!! Shhheeeezzz I just need to get over it!
OK got to be productive!!!!
-
Jen, sorry to say that Ben was like Liv. Those second set of molars are a real bugger! Ben's seemed to take FOREVER to come through. The Nurofen was the winner for us. Sorry I can't help more, it really is an awful time.
Mel, I could always ship you one of my boys :) They're irritating me today, although they haven't really been naughty. I think it's my problem not theirs! Good luck with the TTC info.
We spent two and a half hours waiting at the docs today. Ben fell asleep on my lap he was so buggered. The man in front of us was in there for an hour and a half!!!!! Seriously, who needs to see a doctor for that long? Anyway, Ben is allergic to his AB, a synthetic version of penicillin, but he will prob be allergic to penicillin too according to the doc. Seems like his ear has cleared up enough though so we're not putting him on another course which is good. The rash has faded a lot, but he's scratching at it more now. I'm over sick kids! My shoulder is very painful today too because Ben just wants to be held. Oh well, I'll get on with it!
-
Hello ladies!
We I am TIRED today. Nothing unusual! DH had a night shift and it was a bad night. They sooo know when he's not here and play up at night. I was up every hour or two last night to one or the other. Plus I was really trying not to bring them into my bed, but it didn't last. I was so buggered by 1am I gave in. I brought Lil to bed then. And at about 3am I gave in to Li and brought him in for a feed too. I just couldn't do it. They are both waking sooo much. I'm thinking cause they just want to come into bed with us and keep waking until they do. Though Liam woke a few times after I brought him to bed still. But Lily didn't. I should just bring her in the first time she wakes, since we didn't get her into her own bed for the night. At least I'd get more sleep. I yelled at Lily already this morning cause I'm so tired. But she got into the cupboard and was trying to serve herself weetbix and milk while I was putting Liam to bed. I gave her toast which she asked for, but didn't eat. So I left it on the table for her to eat. I'm so sick of wasting food for her. But she decided she wasnted weetbix now. Brat. I'm just soo tired. Ugh, very over sleep issues. But I can't fix it alone. Aaanywaayyy...you girls have heard enough about it all!
Dis, yes soccer grand final means it's over! He lost it by the way. He was so disappointed! It's the first one they've lost in 4yrs. Oh well someone's gotta lose! We were there for hours too. I was absolutely buggered by the time it was over. 4 hours running after the monsters on my own in a huge open space and it was hot too. Lily gave me a heart attack a few times. She's such a fearless daredevil. She couldn't care less if I follow her and doesn't even take a backwards glance to see if I'm there. And she's a climber and there was a little playground there. She tries to keep up with the big kids too  I was so glad when it was over. But now we have to find something for him to do for time out! LOL.
I hope J is taking to the bottle. Just a little bit! You deserve some time out for yourself. It was about 6ish months when I started to hang for some time on my own. Having a 3hour feeding baby night and day was so hard for me, as well as having Lily and starting work too. I felt like I had someone on me 24/7. I still do some days. Maybe if he doesn't take the bottle he will take the sippy cup with EBM?
I hope B's rash is better. Lily is getting some bad spots of excema (sp!) on her for some reason. I can't figure out why...
Kaz, I hope Pip is better. Lily has a chesty cough too. It just won't go. Just when I think she's getting better it comes back. Usually after a day at childcare.
Mel, don't you hate it when one sleeps well and the other give you a ****ty night! That's usually the way it goes in my house. It's either one sleeps well and the other doesn't or they both sleep badly! I don't think there has been one night yet where they've both slept well.
Jen, hugs hun. I think it's the 2yr old molars that he's probably getting. Lily took a while to get hers too. I felt like I was giving her nurofen or panadol for weeks because of them. BUt she got hers early at about 18mths I think, or earlier. I hope Beau's come up quickly.
Hi Kris!! And anyone else I have missed.
Ok gotta go and get ready for work....Yay, not!
-
Hi all,
Kel- hope things are getting better for you. I always complain about my two not sleeping, but at least sometimes I get sleep. Dont you hate it when they play up when dh is not around to help out. It seems every time dh goes away, the girls dont sleep. I want the opposite...dh goes away, girls in bed early...me sprawl on our king size bed for at least 8 hours of unbroken sleep. Dreaming!
Hello everyone else. I have a massive headache. AF came yesterday and I felt like I have had my head in a vise all day yesterday and much of today. I did get some decent sleep last night so cant complain there. I slept from 10 til 3 then from 330 til 6ish. I did hear Becca around 5am but could get out of bed so she must have put herself back to sleep and stayed asleep til 730. Liv was up at 615!
Yesterday I reckon I ate half a block of chocolate. I so have to refocus. Sometimes I get really bad during af and eat so much crud. Not feeling the slightest bit peckish for sweets now....still early though!!!
Well, cant decide what to do taday. Dont want another day indoors as liv is going to drive me bonkers. Its cold wet and windy here so no outside:(
Must get myself some breaky....have a good day
-
Hi ladies,
Everything is a bit better here, I prised Beau's mouth open and saw the top of his 2nd bottom right molar so we have breakthrough, yay! He seems happier alhough fell over before and got his first real grazed knee as we are in full running mode and shorts weather now. I feel really tired the last week or so, am trying to do too much I think, we walked to the shops and the park this morning and moved around the outdoor room furniture on our return, beau fell asleep on the couch which he never does and has just gone for his nap now! My belly is freakin' enormous too, so hard and full, people are shocked when I say i'm not due till xmas, it must all be extra fluid, I wasnt this big with Beau at this time and I have really bad discharge/leakage (sorry tmi)! But there you go!
Dis- Sorry to hear Ben has had a reaction to the penecillin, at least it has cleared up and he doesnt have to start on another round of something else. What do they give instead? Far out your doctor needs a time limit on appointments, c'mon thats crazy 1 and half hrs! You poor thing in the waiting room with Ben, hope your shoulder is feeling better, try and rest up a bit. When Beau says "pick up" he then says "too heavy" now cause thats what I say! Shame on mummy!
Kel- Still no sleep happening round with you huh? I put Beau in bed with us on Saturday night and one night was long enough thanks, I ended up on the spare bed cause there was no room, let alone two kids! Does the sleep routines bother your DH or is he happy to keep on this way cause you are the one dealing with it? Sounds like you might have to go it on your own, I mean you are getting bugger all sleep anyway right? Please give Karitane a ring, you know better than anyone that sleep deprevation is the number one trigger for depression, so who knows how you will feel once you start getting decent sleeps? Take care x
Mel- Hope you took some nice strong Nuerofen and ate the rest of your choccie for your headache! Apart from the wind it is a beautiful day here thankfully and we have been outside all day. Hope you found something to do that doesnt include you tearing out your hair locked up with the girls.
Hi to everyone else and catch you later x
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEL- hope you have a fantastic day:)
Jen am glad you saw it was his molars. Hows he going with it? Your belly sounds devine...sorry about the leakage!!! I wish I could take neurofen...am allergic to it, as well as asprin and voltarin....I get anaphilaxis...not fun, so i stick to panadol and i think it doesnt do too much. Thankfully my headache is gone but af is real heavy (soorytmi). Has been really weird since I had Becca, starts off light and like old blood, then mid af gets heavy and yuck the stops abruptly...all the wrong way around.
Bec is still sleeping crap, although I cant really complain (Kel, you make my crap sleeping kids look great!). Just feel washed out from AF. Thinking of changing bec o forward facing in the car, but a bit hesitant. She sits up all the tim and arches her back now when I put her in. The only thing i dont like is she sleeps alot in the car so her head will flop down. AH I dont know!!!
Am feeling really comfortable and in a good place with the girls (even though I do have a winge now and then). So this morning I sat and daydreamed about what it would be like with a third. I just cant imagine it!!!!
Enough of me...got to go do the books while the girls are at care for 3 hours.
-
Hi!
Gosh, I'm a a shocker at keeping up at the moment...don't have much energy for much at all to be honest!!!
We're all well - I've just been tired but that's to be expected!! Boys are well...Ethans slept through probably every night this last weel - OMG - never had that before! Although Dylans making up for it by waking up a lot - he's refusing day sleeps most days (although he's having one now) and waking up earlier each morning..we made him cry this morning because there is not way he's getting up at 5.45am!!!! Ridiculous!! It's just not going to happen in this house!! LOL!
All is good with Michael and I!! I went out on the Fri night for dinner and it was so good to be heading out of the house! The next morning he let me sleep in and gave me a massage and brought me brekky in bed!! So spoilt!! Things have been fine since then - I think a lot of it was just my hormones and tiredness and his tiredness as well! LOL...it happens sometimes!!
Happy Birthday Kel!! I hope you have a wonderful day!! (and the kids give you lots of sleep!)
Mel - Sorry to hear you've had a bad af...Sorry to hear Becca is sleeping bad...Ethan's been forward facing for about a month now...but he really loves to sit up - I think he would be so frustrated to lie on his back now so I just go with what you feel comfortable. He falls asleep in there but his head surprisingly doesn't fall forward too often...when we had our big drive to bonnie (and michael was driving) I just lent back and pushed it back - LOL!!!!
LOL at daydreaming about having 3!! I think the biggest thing you can't predict is what they're personalities and temperaments will be like - that makes all the difference I think!! Ethan was a very difficult baby so having 2 older boys that could occupy themselves and didn't get into too much mischief was really great...now he's settled down and is really cruisy it's a lot easier...but who know's??? I've had 3 completely different kids - Dylan chucked all the time but I could put him down and he was happy - and he also would put himself to sleep (not he's my worst sleeper!) Louis was a horror to learn to self settle now he's probably my best sleeper - LOL! Ethan was my hardest baby - now he's cruisy and sleeping through the night!! The miracle of creating these little beings is so fantastic!!!
Jen - Wow on having a bit tummy already!! Hmm...the leakage doesn't sound to great - have you spoken to your dr??
Hmm...all of this talk with molars I'm thinking it might be worth checking Dylans out after last nights episode of sleeping!
Dis - You poor thing having to wait at the dr's! I'm allergic to penicillin - apparently I got a rash when I was little and have not had it since - they always have an alternative!! I've never had any problems!
Kaz - Hope you're well...
Ok...well it was a mini catch up - will chat later...xo
-
Hi ladies,
Such gorgeous weather here today and I have both boys down at the same time (!!!!?!?!?!) so I'm going to duck out into the sun to read for a bit soon. This will just be a short one. :)
Kris, Brekky in bed? Lucky you! Sounds like you had a really nice night and morning.
Mel, we still have Jared rear-facing, but we're turning him this weekend if we get the time. He's such a huge chunk of a child that his feet are touching the back seat and he looks totally squished in at the moment. He also screams bloody murder if we take him in the car when it's dark and I think it's because he can't see what's going on. He sits up totally by himself now so he has the head and neck control, but I'd still like to have had him facing back for a wee bit longer. He's just too big!
Happy daydreaming!
Jen, I thought about going from pantyliners to pads when I was pg with Jared, so I hear you on the discharge. It's so gross isn't it?
Hi Kel and Kaz! :)
Right, out to the sunshine with some choccy biccies (so totally have given up on weight loss) and a book! :)
-
Hi!
Dis - Ooh I'm very envious of you heading out in the sun! Although it is quite a nice day today I could not get my 2 big boys to sleep and Ethan only had an hour and has woken up soooo cranky!!!!!! He hasn't done that for a long time...Wow at Jared being ready to sit forward!! Enjoy your bikkies!
I've had such a shocker of a day with them that I actually can't wait for Michael to get home so I can go food shopping! LOL!
This is my main worry about being p/g again...I so wanted to be past these yucko tired feelings and getting my energy back so that I can be a great mum for them...I'm so not the mum I want to be right now! I'm actually thinking that's why they're playing up as well...kids sense this stuff...I feel like I've been telling them off constantly all day and it's just so draining...this just isn't normal for us...
Anyway...I can see this is all p/g hormones for me and it's CRAP! Why on earth does p/g do this to us??? As if the rest of it isn't enough to cope with - LOL!
Boys have been sneezing today and watery eyes...looks like they're getting sick again...hopefully it will just be a sniffle and nothing more...
What's everyone up to for the weekend?? Not much for us tomorrow but Sun I'm taking Louis & Dylan to watch their cousin play a football grandfinal (will be their first game to watch!) and then off to a friends for lunch!
Chat later!
-
Mel hope you had fun in the sun
Kris hugs...if you need anything dont hesitat to call. Am happy to watch the boys while you go shop...its not like youre going to be gone all day so I could manage a few hours with them and my chickies!!!
I just turned becs seat around and sat it next to Olivia...I hope it works out otherwise I will have to seperate them!!
Ok got to cook something
-
Thanks Mel - I appreciate it! I'll be right! Had a big chat to dh tonight which was good...just fell asleep after dinner and had a quick snooze...Will head to bed for a good sleep in a minute!
Yeah at putting Bec's seat forward - how cute they will sit together!! I'm sure they'll be fine!
Ok...hope you're all well!
-
We had another shocker of a night with Bec...she is terrible at putting herself back to sleep. I let her cry as much as I could but she just fought it. I suppose because yesterday she didnt sleep well during the day. I put her in the pram for our walk and she didnt close her eyes and she only slept an hour and a half in the arvo. She went to bed at 730 which was great but was up from 11 til 1 and then at 430 in with us til 7ish. I suppose its not too bad, but she used to sleep from 930 til 730 without a sound. Olivia slept well and slept through her crying. And to top it off liv got up and went and played inthe lounge before coming in and telling us to get up!! Not too sure what to do with Bec. I know Liv went through similar sleep issues around the same age...she was up every night for 2 hours screaming while I was pg with bec, I remember laying next to the cot with my big belly while she screamed. That lasted 10 months!!!! Gees! I have been so tired I hit the pillow and fall asleep straight away. Havent had the chance to catch up with dh and talk to him about stuff....oh well will do it today.
Anyway hope you are all well
OOh we are going to the circus today...circus olympia .....its down the road literally. Looking forward to it:)
-
heys, that circus sounds like fun!
Am on mobile, our internet is down. Hope sleep sorts itself out soon.
Eh has decide that he doesn't want to go to the rally so a bit grumpy here,
-
Mel, I'm sorry that you are still having sleep issues with Bec. I remember when you were lying on the floor with your big pg belly!
Kris, it's horrible when you feel like you aren't being a good mum to your kids, but we know you are! Try not to feel too badly, you need to take care of yourself and your new bub right now.
Kaz, bugger about the internet. I'm so reliant on the net now, I'd freak out if it was down for any length of time!
I had a good 20 minutes out in the sun yesterday afternoon. I very rarely go into the sun without layers of 30+ smothered on me, but it was late afternoon when I did it so I figured it was fine. My MIL just found out that she is vitamin D deficient too, so that's made me think about it a bit more too and I don't think I get enough sunlight. Anyway, I enjoyed my time out in the sun and then even got another 30 mins to read in the bath later on. That much time to myself is usually unheard of!!!!
We went to a BBQ last night and got home around 11pm with both boys still awake. They both crashed soon after though which was good. J was up for a feed about 4:30 and then we didn't get up until 9am which was lovely. Snuggles in bed with all four of us after that - perfect way to start the day :) :)
-
Hey All,
Lying on the bed catching up while B is asleep as our neighbour woke us at 4am coughing up his lungs and starting his car grrrrr!!!! Hate our new neighbours! Anyway!:D
Everything pretty good here, just working on the house and B has been ok, not too moody although he only slept for 30min yesterday which was ordinary!
Dis - Wow thats a late night for your bubs, they sound like they did really well! Every night is late for me that is past 8:30pm atm LOL! Good on you sitting out in the sun, I think its super important to get a bit too - always brightens you up aswell!
Mel- Sorry you are having a bad sleep time with Bec, I remember you sleeping on Olivia's floor aswell!! Poor thing, awful when they regress isnt it? How cute is Olivia playing on her own in the morning???
Kris - Oh lay it on me about the hormones sister! Just when you think its over they pull you back in too! I think even if you were being the worst mum you think you could possibly be you would still be really great by anyone elses standards so ease up on yourself ok? I dont see a midwife until the 8th of September, I dont remember having this much discharge with Beau but I am pretty sure its in the normal range IYKWIM? I am not soaking pads or anything, more liners like Dis said?
Kaz- Hope you had fun at the circus mergurkus!
Question - Any good activity based toy suggestions atm? I wandered around Kmart this morning looking for I dont know what! He loves playdough and drawing and animals and dinosaurs but I am looking for things that will occupy him for more than 5min! Outside or inside I dont mind....
Ok love to all enjoy the rest of your weekend!
-
Hi!
Someone tried to steal our car last night!! Cheeky buggers...just rolled it down our driveway and straight across into the neighbours front yard...everythings fine luckily - I may have left it unlocked...whoops!!
Mel - sorry to hear you had a rotten night! You poor thing...Hope you have fun at the circus today!!!
Kaz - Bugger about the internet - I'd be a mess - LOL! I couldn't get onto facebook the other night and didn't know what to do with myself...pretty sad really!!!
Bugger about going to the rally...
Dis - Yeah that you had such a nice relaxing arvo! Ooh I love the sun! Not much around here at the moment but I could sooo live in qld! I used to sunbake so much when I was younger - no doubt I'll look like an old leather handbag when I'm older - LOL! Sounds gorgeous having cuddles in bed this morning as well...so nice!
Jen - Omg - 4am??? I wouldn't be happy either!!! Glad Beau's being ok - Dylans is feral at the moment as well...and refuses to sleep most days now, yet complains he's tired all day! Cheeky bugger...driving me a bit nuts though! Oh and he's waking early as well...
Thanks Jen...I know it's not that bad...had a chat to dh and he basically told me to cut it out as well! LOL! Guilty feelings don't get me anywhere!! It was cute though, apparently when I went out to do food shopping last night Louis said the dh - the house isn't as fun without mum here - which was nice!!!
That's not long to wait until you see the midwife...you would know if it feels normal or not!!
Hmmm toys - puzzles are great - Dylan LOVES puzzles...sometimes he 'll sit for over an hour, but usually at least for 20-30min...
I guess it depends what he's into?? Louis used to sit there for ages reading books...and now they both love computer stuff - I only let them play educational cd roms and Louis is right into a great website at the moment that's teaching him to read!! He's doing so well - he can read lots of basic words now...so clever!! Dylan loves the sesame st cd roms that's all about clicking on colours and numbers...
Ummmmmmmmm....can't think of anything else!!
Better go and think about dinner - so can't be bothered cooking but I bought lots of yummy stuff last night in a big food shop and can't afford takeaway - LOL! I can't believe how much it costs me to food shop - I spent $300 last night...grrr...that will only last a week and by the end we'll have nothing left...crazy!!!!

Just a quick one from me.... as I have to do dinner before these girlies fall asleep! We had a great weekend. yesterday Adam and I got to have our talk about expanding the family....so I am completely off the pill and we will see what happens. Had a late night last night as friends were over for dinner and Liv didnt get to bed til 9pm and Bec til 10, then we were woken to our house full of smoke smell. Theres an arsonist in our suburb lighting people rubbish bins, they lit the bins in the house behind us. Bec didnt wake til 430 and then til 730, so thats the best sleep shes had in weeks. I put her in a sleeping bag coz I always find her at the other end of the cot so she must have been cold. Olivia slept til 7, so that was good. Bec has had a temp all day and it wasnt til I lay her on the bed that I realised she is cutting her 5th tooth!!! We went to the market at Wantirna today and then the circus:) It was great fun. Not bad for $25 each adult. Girls are tired and so am I so got to cook dinner!
Kaz- hope you get the internet back on I would be lost!!!
Mel- glad you got more relax time
Jen- playdough, puzzles, painting, musical instruments...mega blocks. Have fun at your appointment:)
Kris- oh how scary about your car!Not even safe in your own driveway. So what care are you getting??? That was our topic yesterday!!! I would like a Tarago but we are definately not having 4...unless twins or an accident! So I will try out another car seat in mine....hopefully i will fit as I like my car. Hope you are feeling better today.
Kel- how was your b'day? Hope those kids are sleeping for you.
Talk soon

glad it was fun Mel, i'd love to take Pip! Was it the circus with the motorcycle cage? Goodness on the tooth! And yay on the Ttc!
Jen, the sun sounds lovely, I should do that more. According to the doc, i'm vit e defficient?
Try train toys, thomas has 3 different types, the trackmaster are the battery trains and are great fun for us all, keeps Pip amused for hours,
Still no net. Hugs to all!

Hiya girls
Well, I am on the mend. Mostly better, still a little lethargic, muscles are still a bit sore and sore booboo. But now Lily and DH are sick. Does it ever end??? Lily was up all night vomitting. She seriously spewed on EVERY sheet I own. Lucky the weather has been nice and I've gotten them clean and dry. DH has a tummy bug and has been on the loo all night. I rang him to come home from a night shift past night and when he got home he was on the toilet straight away! Lucky he came home....
Ok gotta go Lil spewin again

Hey Kel,
Hugs to you, poor bugger. Makes my pregnancy lethargy and tantrum central look like a cake walk. Hope everything improves for you soon xxxx:pray:
-
Hugs Kel, hope things improve in your house.
Bec is on the mend thankfully! Sleep has been pretty yuck, but thats to be expected. Liv is ok shes cranky coz i woke her up. SHe slept yesterday for an hour and didnt go to bed til 930. Shes slept today for 30 minutes so hopefully it wont make too much of a difference.
I am going ttc mental already.... I have got some digital opks with pretty smiley faces to tell me my peak days. I am also adopting some of the diet stuff but only half doing it! If I go back to my 28 day cycle I should be oing next monday!!! Yay. We are having our last session tonight before abstinance....this all sounds like a crock, but I am trying for a boy!!! I didnt want it to be so textbookish but hey!
Anyway its been a lovely day here weather wise. I met up with a friend from high school whom i havent seen for about 18 years! Had fun catching up, it was like old times,
Ok...got to think about dinner and cleaning!

Hi!
Mel - How exciting your fully ttc!! Good luck getting your boy!! Hope it happens quickly for you! Sorry to hear that beccas been so sick...How scary to wake up to all that smoke!!! Lucky it was just the bin but how stupid are some people???
As for cars - I think we're going to buy a wagon and just get a single ****ie seat in the back for Louis. Then we can fit the pram in as well...we'll probably hang on to that until they're all grown out of the pram and then buy some sort of 4w drive...I just really don't want to spend much money on a car right now...we've been working so hard getting our mortgage down I don't want to redraw it all for a car!!
What car have you got again??? We fit the 3 in ours but it's pretty tight...
Sounds like you had a nice day out - I love catching up with old friends!! I just finally found my bf from primary school through facebook - she was the only person I'd been looking for without any luck (due to both of us having married names now...) It was so nice to finally find her - she's in qld though so will probably be a while before we actually catch up!!
Kaz - wow at being vit e def...that should be easy to fix though?? Are you on supplements?? I noticed when I got my blood test yesterday that they were checking me for vit d...will be interesting to see what it says...
What a bugger you still don't have internet....when do you expect it back on??
Kel - Oh no you poor things...I hope you're all better soon! xoxoxoxo
Jen - Hi!
As for us, Louis and Ethan are sick - just colds...Ethans has still been sleeping through the night though which is so super lucky - I think it's cos he doesn't have a dummy maybe?? He's such a gorgeous boy!!
Ummm...had my hosp appt yesterday which wasn't anything exciting - got a blood test and that was about it - I have my 12w scan next Friday (time's going way to fast!!) so will be good to see if everythings going ok...
Went shopping at knox yesterday for fathers day...was nice to get out of the house but I needed a sleep in the arvo - LOL! I'm soooo sleepy it's crazy!!
I'm so looking forward to some warm weather!! It's probably a while off but I can't wait!! Although I'm sure once it heats up I'll be complaining being p/g and hot! LOL!!
Chat later!

Hi Everybody,
How is everyone?
I am feeling really run down and so so so tired all the time - might get a blood test at the hospital on Monday to see if I am iron deficeint? Beau has been a monster the past few days with at least 4 tantrums a day which hasnt helped! He is snotty and cranky with his molars too:doh:
Mel - Glad Bec is on the mend, you sound very organised with TTC, talk about a military operation! A new lady at playgroup asked me today what I was having and when I said a boy she said "Would you have a liked a girl?" Duh! Bugs me beyond belief! Just cause they have a boy and a girl!!!! I said "Cant do much about it now!" Grrr!
Kris - Wow you have had/are having car dramas huh? Sorry to hear the boys have colds but glad to hear Ethan is sleeping through, you are doing well to keep the dummy away from him, does Dylan still have one? Good luck at your scan - are you booked in for a Nuchal?
Ok, I am trying to keep my eyes open typing this! Oh its my birthday on Sunday and we are going on a date Saturday night.....cant wait! :D
-
Hey jen- sorry to hear you are tired. Its a bugger when they play up on you and you feel crud. Happy Birthday for Sunday. Hope you have a great date:)
Kris- I cant believe youre nearly 12 weeks....that has flown by. Has everything settled down now? Sorry to hear the boys are sick. I have a Honda CRV and am thinking we will get 3 in the back.....so much for my tarago!!!
Hi everyone else.
Us- Bec is sooo much better and is actually eating and drinking and smiling and crawling....not so great on the sleep though!!!
TTC gender specific is a full on military opporation...although I am half a@sed about it! I am taking robitussin 3 times a day which thins out your cm....wow it certainly does and seems to increase it too!!! Although I am not too keen on the amount of sorbital Robitussin has coz all I do is #2!!! Sorry tmi...but it is hilerious!!! So last night we dtd for the last time til I o....which should be Sunday....so I will start using opks from tomorrow!!! Its so funny! I suppose I have to be light hearted or obsessive....and I'm really not too obsessive about stuff!!!
Its such a beautiful day here...I am outside with the girls. Bec is about to play in the dogs water bowl...gggrr... and I have the dryer on because I washed Olivias "old dolly" and she was mortified that dolly was hanging on the line so I convienced her to put dolly in the dryer....
-
Hi!
Jen - You poor thing - it's sooo common to be iron def in p/g...well worth getting a test!! I can usually feel when I'm def - it becomes hard to even lift my arms...like the muscles become fatigued...
The car stuff isn't so bad...we should be able to swap over for a wagon for only 1 or 2k...
LOL on the dummy - Ethan would never take it - not ever - hated it from the word go...we got rid of Dylans a couple of months ago...hasn't changed his sleeping much at all other than he doesn't like having day sleeps now and very rarely does...little bugger...
Yeah..booked in for the nuchal thing but not for the blood test that goes with it...we'll just see what happens first...
Yeah at going on a date - how exciting!! Do you know what your going to do!! What a bugger your birthday is on fathers day...LOL! Who spoils who??
Hope you get a rest this arvo and an early night!!
Mel - It is just beautiful outside isn't it?? I just had all the kids out as well - Poor Dylan played for a bit but I could see he was tired and def not his normal self...Ethan was loving it outside though - wasn't too sure on being plonked on the grass though - he hasn't been out much because over winter out grass stays so wet...
LOL at all your tactics ttc for a boy!!! Hope it works for you!!
Yeah the time is flying now...I haven't had any spotting for just over 2 weeks now so that's good...I think I can feel my uterus already which seems super early but I suppose with the other boys I was just over 11-12 weeks when I could feel it....I've put on so much weight though - so feral...I have the biggest gut and I can't blame it on p/g at all!!! Too much lollies and choccy I think! I haven't noticed it much but I"m sure I will now that summer's coming and I'll have to show some skin - LOL!!! I don't want to have to much hard work next year...
Boys are watching Bolt - I ordered it for them on foxtel box office...cheeky things - Dylan has since said he wants a dog and Louis has said he wants a cat...hmmm...I think we'll stick with a new baby for now and then worry about pets - god help my shopping bill when we've got pets to pay for as well! LOL!!!
-
I have the girls on the deck and their clothes are revoltin...covered in dirt. They both love it out here and am so looking forward to warmer months ahead. Bec is crawling so fast now...I have to watch she doesnt fall down the steps. We have been out here a few times over the winter but not as much as I would like. Becis only just getting used to the dog. When your boys are well, I will catch up with you.....need some boy vibes or just plain old baby vibes from you:)
-
LOL!! Anytime Mel! We'll sort out a day as soon as they're germ free!! xo
-
Gosh Mel dont even start on the dog bowl - Beau is still obsessed with it and he much older than poor Bec!?
Kris - I thought you had to get the bloods as its a combined result with the scan?
Us- Beau woke up super snotty and its raining here so Hi-5 it is! (not as good as the old one though he he)
-
Hey Jen - just started raining here as well! Lucky I got my washing in!
No...it's a choice to have the bloods as well...I've never done them...just had the scan!!
-
Hey All,
Yeah was crappy weather here this morning but now its gorgeous:D
Had an AWFUL afternoon with Beau yesterday, he was so disobedient and saying "NO!" right to my face when I would ask him to stop doing something, I put him on this step and he continued to tantrum after, then I smacked him on the bottom which he then hit me repeatedly, so I put him in a cold shower fully clothed! I just lost it! I dont know why he has turned into Dr Jekyl all of a sudden! I want my little boy back! He keeps saying "shower" and "beau, no" today so it may have gone in cause he HATES the shower! Aggghhh!!!
