Wow congratulations Kel! How great. Far out everyone on here is PG! Where are you moving too? Did DH get a post?
Thanks girls, I'm so excited!!
Jen, we're going out to Cobar (waaayyyyy out west NSW) DH got a posting there for 4yrs. We moving in 2 1/2wks!! Soo excited about that too, lol!! It's all happening for us :)
Wow, sooo quiet in here!
How is everyone?
Kris, how are you babe? How is Jayden going and they boys? What do they think of having a new bubby? We haven't seen you around here for a while. I hope all is well.
Kaz, how's the m/s hun? I hope it's subsiding. Must suck having to work with it. I'm so lucky that I don't really get it.
Mel, how are the girls? How's the bump? Have you had your morphology scan yet? Do the girls know you're pg (Well Olivia anyway, lol!)?
Jen, how old is Archie now, he must be about 5ish months now?? How is Beau with him?
Dis Mel, how are you going? How's your bump?? And your boys?
AFM, I am ok, soooo tired though and a little over emotional. I told mum I'm pg. And didn't even get any congrats or anything. All she focussed on was the bad things, like how hot it gets in Cobar and that I'm having a baby in midsummer, I'll be heavily pg in the hot months how will I cope, I'll have my hands full with 3 kids 3 and under and won't know anyone how will I cope, what hospital will I birth in is there and ob in Cobar (there's not and I'm not sure how it all works there- I'm a bit worried/stressed/anxious about it, but trying to just focus on being only just 5wks pg!), what does Damien think he didn't want more kids (yep, just got myself pg because I wanted to didn't consult with him at all) blah blah blah.... I'm quite upset about her reaction. But what can I do, that's my mother...unfortunately.
Anyway, gotta go, I'm sooo tired, despitesleeping in til 8am, falling asleep in the car for 40mins, then going to sleep when putting Liam to bed for 1 1/2hours. Now I'm ready for bed again!! Ahhh, the joys!
Kel- hugs, thats so mean of your mum. I am so very excited for you and I am sure you will managed and people out there have babies all the time so you will work it out. Its amazing how you got pg all on your own!!! Seriously, you will be fine. Hope your tiredness settles sooner rather than later. Thats what I have found so hard this time. I felt sick from being so tired.
I have my scan in 13 days:) Lots of little kicks now, getting stronger each day. Olivia knows I am growing a baby in my tummy and she thinkis its a girl....and her name is GIRLIE! My tummy is getting big, but its more of a basketball this time. With the girls I was chunky all over! Starting to buy some things but not too much. Needed a cradle coz ours got mouldy from stormas we had a few months ago that leaked into the shed. Stocked up on curash wipes on sale in big w.
Ok its a beautiful day...as Olivia told me this morning....she ran into my room and said 'mummy its a beautiful day, yes it is' and opened the curtains! Yes it is alright, blue sky and sun...but not at 7 degrees! Hoping it warms up quickly and out we will go! Bye!
Aw Mel, that's so cute of Liv :) Ben does that a lot, gives me a weather forecast first thing in the morning - I love it. At least now he at least sleeps until the sun is up! Ben thinks our new baby is a girl too, but he came up with something more exotic for the name... I can't quite pronounce it though  I can't believe you're ready for your big scan already! The time seems to have gone fast!!!
Kel, hugs to you. You can borrow my mum for a while, I'm lucky that she is THRILLED with another grandchild. You could even borrow my MIL, she was so excited that she announced it on FB before we had told everybody :( Oh well, it's not like we were keeping it a secret.
You will be fine in Cobar. Once you are there and settled everything will fall into place. Have you already got a place? Just make sure it has aircon and all will be well :) Having a bub in the middle of summer is fine with aircon!
As for us, well I still haven't packed. I've got some stuff together but haven't even started to pack. We are leaving home at 4am on Tuesday morning so we have to be completely ready by tomorrow night. I'm sure we'll make it, I've always been a last minute packer. I'm sending Ben to school tomorrow so I'll have three hours of peace - DH is already on holidays so he can look after Jr.
I'm feeling pretty okay with m/s. I'm finding that if I can manage an afternoon nap it makes the world of difference. I'm gagging on food sometimes, but haven't come any closer than that to vomiting yet, thank goodness. We always planned on our trip to go back to our hotel (we're on the monorail line from Disneyland) for a mid-afternoon nap for the boys, so it will be perfect for me too.
Ben's so excited about this trip. He told me yesterday that he needs to get a sword to take on the Pirates ride with him  He knows ALL of the rides already and which ones he is too short to go on. Jr will love it as well, he's my real Disney baby. He's obsessed with Mickey and carries my huge stuffed Mickey and Donald's around the house with him. He also follows me around with Mickey Mouse DVDs, shoving them at me and saying "Mickey!". We've watched some videos online of the rides and shows and he loves them. Every time I get on the computer now he thinks it's Mickey time  They are going to freak out when we get there - I can't wait! Not looking forward to the 9hr flight from the Gold Coast, but we'll manage. We have to be up super early so hopefully the boys will be tired and have a sleep once we get on the long flight. I have lots of new toys for them, just simple stuff like colouring books and stuff, that I will wrap tonight and tomorrow night to break out when they start mucking up a bit. Hopefully they'll spend most of the flight sleeping and watching tele!!!!
Okay, well I've rambled on for a while now.... I don't know if I'll have time to log on tomorrow, so SAYORNARA! :D
hey Mel just wanted to wish you a fun and safe trip. Hope it all goes very well for you.
Hiya ladies!
How are you all?!
Mel, lol, yeah, immaculate conception here! I am disappointed about my mum, but really, I guess she's the one who will miss out. Nothing I can do about it!
I have been soo tired. Right now I am sitting here trying so hard to get the energy to do some more cleaning, but I just keep yawning and it is so cold!! I just want to curl back up in bed.
Yay @ buying stuff, soo exciting! I have been getting one or two little things here and there because we have absolutely nothing! Just singlets and bibs and stuff like that. I am getting a cot today from a friend, yay! One big thing I don't need to worry about! It's sooo hard to find nice unisex stuff though. I don't want to find out the sex this time and I will be struggling to find nice clothes for bubby!
Dis Mel, oh no @ your MIL announcing your pg on FB! Whoops! At least you're not too worried about it, but still.... I have almost said a few things on FB in my comments. Not that there's really anyone on there who I'm worried about knowing, but I would like to tell our friends we are seeing on the weekend in person. After that I will announce it on FB.
We have been told our house has aircon. I will have to start saving for our electricity bill, lol! I think I'm not going to be going anywhere once it's summer out there! At least it should only be about 8ish weeks that will be reallyhot while I'm pg! NOt that it will fell like that when I'm there I'm sure!
Hope you have a great trip awya and that your m/s is gone :)
As for us, I am trying to get this place in order to move. But we have stuff everyhwere and people coming in to look at the property. It disturbs me so much that people are coming with my house in the state it is in!! Oh well, not much I can do really. We have painting stuff all over and a few boxes and stuff all over the dining table and the kids room is all dismantled to paint....eeekkk!! I have to do some more cleaning soon....ick so not in the mood! But we move Tuesday!! How did that get here so soon!
Hi to Kaz, Kris and Jen, hope you're all going well!
Hey All!
First off hope you have an awesome holiday Dis, dont go too crazy on the Disney merchandise! Coming from someone that has logged up a lot of airmiles and hated every second of it, I admire you for doing it a) PG, and b) with 2 kids!!! Good Luck and safe trip!
Everything going pretty well here....Archie slept through the last two nights! Yip Yip eee!!!! From 6:30pm till around 5am then I feed him in his cot and he sleeps til around 6:30-7am. Its so amazing, yesterday at playgroup I was running around with a mask on being a superhero with Beau. Everyone said I was getting WWAAAYYY too much sleep cause I was acting like an idiot! We have been teaching to sleep or control crying with Arch for about 2 weeks, he got down to one wake-up and now thats hopefully gone!
Beau is great, coming out of his shell more and more, he seems to be going through some weird growth spurt because he had almost but dropped his day sleeps and now he is keen to go and "have a little rest" and has been sleeping some days for almost three hours which is totally out of character. His vocab astounds me and he is such a sweetheart. Especially when I see him with other kids (boys).
Kel - Ah so what (to your mum) that you are moving somewhere hot PG? Is there ever a good climate to be PG? I reckon its easier for us cause we can be in ac, its worse when bub comes and you are trying to keep them cool, especially if the ac is in the living room! Archie slept in his moses basket or rocker on our dining table under the ac in the early weeks/months in the really hot days as he was born late december. Your mum needs to pull her head in! As for your DH not wanting anymore kids - is anything certain in life? At the moment we are saying no to more bubs but who knows in a year or two when I get clucky again? I want to work again, and move to a nicer area but things change, as long as you and DH are happy with your little family I think thats all that matters. Yes it will be hard when you move and dont know anyone, but its exciting too! Change has to be scary for there to be any growth. You are going to have a house, how great is that? You have kids and thats the best way to meet new people with something in common. I have met some great chicks up here at playgroup, you just have to let down your guard and pre-concieved ideas of people and not judge straight away IYKWIM? Often times smaller areas are the most friendly and welcoming too. Yep, Archie is 5-ish months, Beau is pretty brilliant with him now, there were some scary moments early on and I reacted really badly which freaked the hell out of him, but I am so much more chilled now and I think thats reflected in B. Helps when they get smiles and laughs too as you would know.
Mel - Ooooh a basketball...mmm interesting! Mine were all basketballs in front....cute though Olivia has dubbed the bub "Girlie". Archie was "Joom" according to Beau, he would come to the checkups and hear the heartbeat going "joom joom joom joom". Too cute. You are very organised stocking up on wipes and things. Good luck with your scan, how exciting! I re-read some posts the other day. How great your numbers were normal for your nuchal/downs scan? Must have been a relief for you. Freaks me out just dreaming about another bub.....
Hi to Kris and Kaz hope you are doing well.....I am demolishing some coles peppermint chocolate right now - and - must - stop !
Jen- sounds like A is doing well with sleeps good on you. Makes you feel human!
Yep my tummy is out front. I have put on a grand total of 2kgs, which is amazing coz with the girls by now I would have stacked on at least 6kgs! Cant wait for my scan...8 days:) And yep they were fantastic results for my NT scan. Considering I was high risk for Olivia! Always scares me getting those results!
Ok better go...got to clean clean clean!
Hi ladies,
Well, just dropping in quickly to let you all know that I won't be around for a few weeks. We are moving tomorrow and the net gets disconnected tomorrow. It will take at least a week for us to get reconnected, if not more.
Hope you all stay well abnd the kidlets are all good for you!! I am absolutely buggered and so need to rest but so can't! Just having a coffee to recharge now. We still have sooo mcuh to do! Moving is not fun with little kids. Mine have been in front of the electronic babysitter all day and I'm feeling like a horrible mummy! They are so bored and I'm over telling them to get out of the boxes, not to touch the freshly painted walls or the clothes and stuff waiting to go into the boxes, they're just annoying the $h!t out of each other plus I dont think Liam is 100% well....arrrggghhhh!!!! THe last thing I need is a sick kid!
Cant wait til tomorrow arvo rocks around, then it will all be over, furniture on the truck and unit cleaned for some tennants to rent it out! It's a 9hr drive out to our new home. We might just drive to the Blue mountains (about 1hr away, 1 1/2 in traffic!!) tomorrow and stay there, then go to Dubbo on Tuesday and onto Cobar Wednesday. Our furniture won't be there til Wednesday so we can take our time.
Ok, ladies, I really should go! Can't be sitting on my tooshy surfin the net while the hubby paints can I??!! Well, I think it will be a week or 3 util I 'see' you all so take care! :D
Good Luck with the move Kel, hope your new place lives up to all your expectaitons!
All the best Kel- am loving the fact you have in house internet at your stops:)
I have 5 days to go til my scan. Am getting so nervous/excited! I bought a wooden cradle off ebay for $20 yesterday, so thats that out of the way! Just debating if I should get a capsule for the car for the first 6 months ish! I might leave that one til the end!
Am getting a little over the comments about having a boy. Oh I thought you went for number 3 because you wanted a boy...or Adam would be so happy with a boy (and he wouldnt be with a girl?). Um I would be happy with a boy...is it always about the guys who want a boy? gggrr. Anyway, we dont mind. I feel like telling people to f off. My mum is a priime example. She insists I am having a boy, but the again she insisted on it with the girls (not that she can remember). Then theres the IL's! I could go on and on and on. Why cant people just hope that we have a healthy baby?
Ok! Other than that all is well here! Olivia still wakes up in the night. Last night she had a 'yucky dream'. Shes been having lots of those lately, but its also about going to the toilet. Am wondering when she will be able to sleep through without needting to go? I shouldnt complain because it means she doesnt wet the bed. Its just draining night after night. I usually go lay with her, squashed on a single bed, fall asleep, wake up with pins and needles a few hours later, crawl back to my bed and cant get to sleep straight away! Baby sits in my tummy funny or kicks down low and I think I need to wee...AGAIN!
Well i better make the most of it. Its 730 and OMG they are both still asleep!
Take care.
Oh Kaz- are you having your scan soon?
Hi!
So sorry I haven't been around!!! I've been so busy lately...and I knocked water on my comuter so the letter between O and [ isn't working...GRRR!!! We're all going well though - bubs is great! He's so gorgoeus - the best gummy smiles and the boys are well also - well, other than being sick over the last week! They are all so beautiful - I so love my little family! We know it's extra hard work right now but it's going really well so it will only get easier really!
Mel - good luck tomorrow!
Kel - Good luck with your move!
Dis - Hoe you had a great holiday!
Jen - L>ove your ictures of the boys you've ut on facebook lately! Hoe your well!
Kaz - How are you going???
Ok - so Kaz and Mel - we must must must organise a catch u - I miss you guys!!! it's been ages - lets make a date!!!????
Good to hear from you kristie. I have been following you on fb. Glad to hear the boys are doing well. I would love a catch up. Its been ages. Am good for Fridays especially but can also do tuesdays or wednesdays or weekends. Am looking forward to meeting your new little man and also some tummy rubs for KAz!
Have my scan tomorrow. Will let you know how it goes:)
Hi girls! Trip went well. I've been feeling off since I got back (but know now it's from the milk in my cereal so will cut it out) so I won't be on for long. The boys were great - Jared is a total Disney junkie and Ben loved it too.
Hope you're all well!
Its a girl! We got to the scan did all the measurements and all looks well. We got the lady to turn off the dvd to see what she was. Its hit me harder than I anticipated. I think i have cried most of the day. I am glad I found out today, because I would hate to be a mess at the birth. So we decided to tell people because I need them to get used to it too (I dont know why I feel I need peoples acceptance but I do and I know the comments will come thick and fast). So we decided to let it out and get used to it. I feel guily crying about it and I dont know why I wanted so much to have a boy...maybe because I am expected too? I dunno! I am hoping tomorrow I feel more positive...am sure I will as time goes by. Now to choose a name! Dh suggested my name as a middle name (Melissa) so no a ending names! He likes Amy Melissa...something he came up with while we were out. I need to think about it! lol Oh well at least I dont have to get lots of clothes!
oooh Mel
I'm tempted to not find out for the same reason - I'd rather be attached to it without knowing the gender.
Kris  you've been having a tough time of it lately, how is M's back? Definately have to catch up soon.
Jen - how's it all goin?
DG - good to see you home safely
Lil - good luck with the move, hope you find some wonderful people when you get there!
Us - had the 12 week scan on Saturday, discovered I stuffed up with the 10 week blood test and didn't give them to proper form. So got it done today (at 12 weeks 6 days - literally the last day). M/S seems to be tapering off thank goodness. Reflux kicking in again though :( Baby looks good on scan, NT measurements 1.58 & 1.15 for the 2 measurements. So looking good thank goodness. Soon as I see the doc on Wednesday will be telling work, will bring in blue & pink cupcakes I think.
Have a great week all, stay safe.
Hey All,
Wow Mel, congratulations on your healthy bubba! I understand everything you are talking about and dont feel guilty about it. I remember reading one of the forum headings when I first joined Belly Belly of "Gender Dissapointment" and I remember thinking, how absurd! (I hadnt had Beau yet and was thankful to be finally having a baby with lots of M/C). But now, after two bubs the same sex, I totally get it. I've had Archie asleep in the sling (not visible) and people have asked "What did you end up having?" and I say another boy and they say "did you want a girl?" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You cant rationalise why ridiculous comments affect you either but they do. Deep down, both DH and I wanted a girl, so its kind of "off limits" to talk about as we arent sure if we will go again. But I look at Archie and he is so lovely and smiley and I think about him being oblivious to all this conflict about having a willy or not and feel silly.
At least your Dh is positive about it and you will grow to love the idea of all pink. Its just societies expectations I am sure. I just want a girl so I can dress her up, DH said he will be buy me a doll LOL! Ask Kris, she must have some fantastically irritating things strangers (and family) have said about having all boys.....
Kaz - thats some great results for you NTS, good news too that MS is dissapating. Everything is going "ok" here i guess.....:o
Kris - You sound very healthy and positive! I am glad you are going so well, and yes it can only get easier! As my DH said to me when we bought Arch home, it cant get any harder can it?
Dis- Glad you had a great trip. Sorry you have been feeling off but at least you have narrowed it to something.
Us- Been feeling pretty flat and sorry for myself the past week or so. Beau is driving me bananas in all this wet weather, whinging and crying all the time, at home, out, at playgroup, when he gets a milkshake....all the time! Im over it!
ok they are both asleep so I probably have half an hour - going to the city tomorrow for rootcanal, what an enjoyable break from the kids!
