BS - I'm so glad that Eva is doing well on the formula! That dress is the cutest thing ever. And I just hunted up some rattle socks on ebay :)

Hi to everyone else! Hope you're enjoying the long weekend.

AFM - I am exhausted. We've officially hit the wonder week/four month growth spurt/teething/whatever the heck it is. Combined with Liam still being a bit snuffly, we're having fun...not.

Last night was like having a newborn again. His longest sleep was 3 hours, and then he was up almost hourly for a feed. He was grizzly this morning, then behaved himself when we visited family (for once it was his cousin who has grizzling - she's a very settled, placid little thing, but she has awful ezcema at the moment which is causing her pain) and then got really grizzly again afterwards. He's napped less than an hour in total all day in fits and starts (and always on me, apart from one sleep where DH held him, which is a rarity in and of itself). And he's been feeding like crazy again.

And he's going to get through this, and then it'll be time for his (late) four month needles. Argh. I hope he doesn't react like last time, because it was a really bad day.

I really, really hope he sleeps tonight. I've just been in to resettle him once - hopefully he'll stay down at least until early morning. He's been a restless sleeper, too, waking when I come to bed, which he used to sleep through.

I really want to try to gently coax him into a decent sleeping routine. I don't mind frequent feeding during the day at all, and I don't even mind one quick feed at night, but I'm getting really fed up with having an overtired baby who won't nap or sleep well at night.

And as I typed that, he just woke up screaming again. DH's turn to resettle him.

Hey Rose...did you think of trying him in a separate room? Maybe not far from you but just so he does not smell you during the night and wake as often for feeds?

It worked with Eva...

I am glad you got him the socks - you'll see it is funny, he'll stare at them then wiggle one foot then the other and slowly start going into a kicking storm - that should tucker him out too!

I hope he gets better. It is hard when they are like that :(

Hi BS Yep I still use the swing every day, but I am worried that he'll be too reliant on it and we'll be in big trouble when he's too big for it! So I'll have to try to use it less.
Love the outfits!:D And the socks are very cute I might have a look for some as well.

Hi Rose I'm with you on the exhaustion!!! Harry's been feeding every 2 hours at night if not more and through the day hasn't wanted to be put down, and if he is in the mood for floor play he doesn't like it if I walk away. My house is an absolute pig sty and I'm supposed to be going out to my aunties today for a BBQ but I'm not sure I'm going to go. I'm just so tired and Harry's not very sociable with other people and seems to startle/get scared easily too at the moment, and my cousins are a very loud bunch I can see the day being a big disaster so I'm leaning towards not going. I hope this doesn't last much longer :(:asleep::(

Harry's asleep now has been for half an hour maybe I should be doing some cleaning and tidying while he's down...I just can't find the energy to do it, and chances are as soon as I start he'll wake up and I hate doing half jobs:wall: but I would be embarrassed if anyone was to come over I don't think I could let them in!:redface:

I was just reading the post in the messages forum in memory of a BB member that took her life, so so sad, she'd had 4 late losses and the last one was too much:cry::cry:
I can't even imagine how she must have been feeling, but I feel so sad for her and her family, I keep tearing up thinking about her:cry:

We are all so very lucky in here aren't we girls!:heartbeat:

Hi Willow - thanks.......just so very very sad - I'm on the November forum as well and Mikayla was pregnant at the same time before losing her 3rd, then she fell pregnant again and lost him recently......it was all too much. We are in the process of sending a card around for her too so she knows how much we care for her to help cheer her up, we're all devastated she won't see it. She's such a lovely girl, was always so supportive to us even after she lost her bub while we were still pregnant, this is just dreadful dreadful news and we're all very very sad. :crying:

AFM - knackered so will write more tomorrow - had a lovely time down south, just got back today although the text to let me know about the passing of Mikayla was upsetting on Saturday, have been thinking of it ever since. But yes had a lovely time and oddly Amelia slept the best she had slept all week, not a peep out of her in the portacot, didn't even toss and turn - not sure why but will be interesting to see what happens tonight! The only thing different other than fresh country air was I put a little light wrap over her along with her grobag as it's quite cool down there. Not sure I'd be game to do it when she's in another room though. We went to the local country fair and played lots of games, had lots of laughs, was a great time hanging with the family. Millie was a little off yesterday, she struggled to poo in the morning with 2 pebbles before a massive poo explosion in the afternoon. MIL came down for one night yesterday and overstimulated her along with obviously having an upset tummy yesterday so she was cranky pants last night but at least she slept well. Definitely think we have sore gummies!!!

Anyway, I'm pooped guys but will write more tomorrow when I have more energy. I hope you all had a lovely Easter with your families and bubbies. xx

It's been quiet in here - hope everyone is having a good Easter weekend.

Alison - I was so sad to read about Mikayla. Glad that Amelia slept well while you were away.

willow - I hear you on trying to get stuff done during naps. It's so hard when they're unpredictable and you never know how long you're going to get.

AFM - had a good, mostly quiet weekend. Today was especially good - Liam seems to have turned a corner all of a sudden. He's sleeping better, and has been taking regular naps which seem to be getting longer, both of which are combining to make him much happier. He didn't nap too well today - lots of catnaps - and was grizzly by the end of the day. He also fed like crazy today. It's been really nice seeing him so happy. And now, typically, we have his next lot of needles tomorrow. I'm hoping that he'll cope with these better than he did the first ones.

Hi Rose Great that Liam seems to be improving hopefully the needles won't upset him too much.

Rose - I really hope the needles go OK today. I know how frustrating it can be to have to upset the apple cart when things start settling down.

Alison - I'm so sorry to hear about Mikayla. How very, very tragic. She must have been in so much pain. I would be devastated to lose any of our Belly buddies. But I'm glad your trip down south went well and that Milly's sleep actually seemed to improve. It's so random sometimes.

Willow - It was so sad to read your post about Mikayla. What a terrible terrible Easter for her partner and family! Is Harry still feeding every two hours at night? It must be exhausting! Matilda likes to feed at least every two hours during the day and that's bad enough! Did you get to the family do? I don't think I would have made it.

BS - You must be so glad to see Spring arriving! And hey, the booties are a great idea. I keep meaning to look for some on Ebay. Did you ever get a jolly jumper? You've probably seen all our videos of the bubs jolly jumping by now.

Beany - any improvement in the sleep department? I hope so!

Hi Carmey, Kanda, Suz, Hannah, Lani. Hope you all had a lovely Easter.

AFM - Well its been a bit of a busy Easter. We actually went to Melbourne very fleetingly for a night on Sunday for a wedding. It was even shorter than planned because when we got to the airport we realised we hadn't packed Matilda's bag :redface: They were good enough to put us on the next flight. Other than getting a bit upset when we first got on the plane Matilda took it all in her stride. And actually slept really well over the two days. I had been expecting a velcro baby that would only sleep on me. She was also really good about being held by new people which was great because we had a couple of really good friends we couldn't deny a cuddle! I've had DH at home since last Thursday which has been bliss but we're back to the Sydney commute next week. At least he'll be here for her needles on Friday!! Tilly still isn't doing any major baby acrobatics yet such as rolling. But I did notice she's grabbing onto her feet which she hasn't done before. My MIL has been telling me that DH walked at 5 months. But my physio assures me this is physically impossible. I think DH's physical genius keeps getting grander and grander with time. I think when I first met him it was more like 8 or 9 months. Anyway, hope everyone is doing well. Hugs all round.

Hi Tilda That's excellent that Matilda was good while you were away, they surprise us sometimes:D
Wow walking at 5 months! That is pretty incredible, although I thought impossible too. Funny how those stories get more fantastic as the years go by:lol:

As for Harry yep he still feeds every 2 hours at night, he slips in a night of 3 hourly every now and then, we even had almost a whole week of 4/5hrs between a while back, but it doesn't seem to last. It doesn't sound like much but the 3hourly feeds leave me much less tired the next day I hope he stretches them out permanently soon:crossfingers:
We didn't make it to the fam bbq, but went to my dads on the Monday for lunch and Harry was quite unsettled. He didn't want to feed properly then was hungry and overtired and screamed for 1/2 hour until he fell asleep on me.

Harry also seems to have developed an aversion to the car but only at night, anyone else having car issues?

Gotta go the master is getting cranky.

Willow - Jett is the same in the car at night and I have put it down to the dark. If we turn the interior light on he is alot better. Not so great for the driver but he is happy. I feel for you with the 2hr feeds, you must be so buggered.

Tilda- How lucky you could get a later flight, glad Matilda behaved herself.

Rose- Hope Liam is well after his needles and he continues to improve for you.

Alison- Glad you had a lovely Easter away. Glad to hear Amelia slept well for you.

BS- I love the new photos of Eva. I guess it is not too long before you go away, I bet you are getting very excited.

Hi to Carmey, Kanda, Suz, Hannah and anyone else that I have missed.

AFM: I have been great, we had a lovely Easter didn't do a lot but it was great to have DH home for 4 days and relax a little. Jett has been doing great. He rolled over on Tuesday for the first time but hasn't done it again. I am busy organising his Christening, which is next Sunday. It is so hard to do little things that used to take me 5mins now take an hour. Jett isn't very co-operative with getting in and out of the car numerous times a day either so I can only do a few things a day.
Jett seems to have gotten himself into a routine he is 3-4hours during the day with at least an hour sleep between feeds and then he goes down between 6-8pm at night till 2 or 3am a feed then back til about 6am. I am lucky and :crossfingers: it lasts.

Hi Lani Here's hoping the new routine sticks!:goodluck::crossfingers: sounds great I will be most jealous if it does:D Yay for the rolling, Harry did the same thing rolled then didn't do it again for a while then all of a sudden he'll start again, but still only rolls to the left side.

We've tried the interior light on in the car, we've tried toys, no toys someone in the back with him, which I think was worse he seemed to think why aren't you getting me out of here?! We've tried music on, music off :o and are at a bit of a loss now, hopefully it's a stage and will pass soon!

Willow - OMG I wish I had some suggestions for getting Harry to stretch out those night time feeds. I'm sure you've tried everything anyway. We have a similar issue with the car except it's not just at night. It's anytime she's a bit tired. It makes return journeys very stressful. It used to be the one place she'd take a dummie but doesn't even do that now. It puts me off going anywhere because she gets so worked up it affects her sleep for the rest of the day.

Lani - Great to hear you're doing so well. Hope that routine keeps up. we have similar nights but Matilda's day sleeps are a bit up and down. I guess I should count my blessings though!

AFm - can't sleep which is an issue given M is up at 5:30 at the moment. My neck and shoulder are giving me grief and I can't get comfortable. Well should try again.

You know I've been thinking that the car issues could just be result of Harry's mood, he gets progressively crankier as the day goes on and by early evening he's well grumpy and tired so maybe he just doesn't tolerate the car then, but he doesn't mind having a sleep in the car through the day?? They are strange little being sometimes!

I'm off to mums group at the park this arvo, get some fresh air. Oh and my Amber teething necklace arrived the other day, I think it is definitely helping, she's not waking and needing the dummy at night at all, I've only gone in if she's got herself jammed up against the side of the cot which she makes a little noise but has her eyes closed so all I do is move her back to the middle. I hope this stays! I can handle the day time woes if she sleeps well at night - at the moment she's going down about 9.00/9.30 pm and sleeping until between 7.00 and 8.00 am - can't complain but I'm sure it will change. This Wonder Week is a biggen and could go for a while, groan!

Rose - Hope Liam's needles go well today and that he's not too unsettled tonight. The good news is that once we're through this fussy period it's a much longer stretch to the next one, so you'll get to catch up on some sleep :)

Alison - That's terribly sad news about Mikayla/Bondi Girl. Just makes me want to tell all my friends and family how much I love them. That's lovely that your Easter trip to your holiday house didn't upset Amelia's sleep.

Willow - How's your velcro baby going? Hope you're getting some sleep in there, you must be exhausted. Have you got a sling/wrap? It's the only thing that helped me survive when DS1 was clingy. Can you email me the name of your builder? You won't know yourselves when your extension is finished.

Brussels - So glad to hear the FF is going well for you and Eva! Loved the pics of the rattle socks and the Parisian outfits. Have a great trip home and see you on FB, or back here when you get back.

Tilda - Oh no! That's one of my fears, leaving the baby's bag behind when we head for our caravan. Walking at 5 months :rofl: I think your Physio is right there, impossible! Hope your neck and shoulder are getting better.

Lani - Yay for rolling! Craig did it once early and then didn't roll again for over a month, so don't worry if Jett doesn't roll again for ages, he probably thinks he got it perfect first go :)

Hi to anyone reading who hasn't got time/energy/a free hand to post and hugs to Carmey, Hannah, Sesame, Kanda, Beany.

AFM - We survived our trip to our caravan. Everyone at the park is so friendly and understanding as they all have kids. I was determined to finally get to do some fishing (haven't been able to for years!) so I had Craig in a fluoro safety vest (DH bought it for NYE so we could see him easily as he's a bolter) and Ryan in the sling. I managed to cast maybe 5 times and didn't even get a bite, but I got to fish. The toilet training went completely out the window, but we'll hopefully get back on track now we're home. Ryan is finally through his fussy period and is more like his regular self, but like Rose we have needles soon (Friday) so that will probably upset things again.

Question: I was never able to get Craig to take a bottle and really want to try with Ryan. He happily drank one a while back but hasn't done it the last couple of tries. What teats/bottles are you girls using? I'm thinking the ones I have are too slow (3 month) and I need faster because he seems to get cranky and just chew on the teat. Any ideas?

So tell me about these amber teething necklaces? How is it they help with not waking at night ?? If they help I'll buy 10! We didn't have them when DS1&2 were babies so I have no idea how they work.

I bought an ergo the other week which is great!We went out to the soccer today and he was very happy in there:) I didn't know how he'd go for that long but he was good, he got sick of it quicker at home.

Sorry no suggestions for the bottle, although Ds2d like a faster flow one from what I can remember. We haven't tried a bottle with Harry yet.

Ryan has his needles today. We're going to meet some of our Mother's Group for coffee this morning before it all turns to poo after needles this afternoon. To top it off, I'm getting a head cold and keep sneezing (but both the boys are fine) so all I want to do is curl up in bed. Ryan will happily curl up in bed with me, but Craig will want to jump on the bed and still needs help with the toilet, so there'll be no rest for me :( DH smiled when he left for work this morning and said 'You can have the day off". Ha ha ha. :cold:

I just realised my ticker is lagging behind. Ryan is 19 weeks old today! Hopefully that means we're through to the 'Wonder' part of the 'Wonder Week'.

Hi girls!

Just a quick pop in. Liam's needles went okay - he was more upset at the actual injection this time (I don't think I've ever heard him scream so loud) but within five minutes he was smiling at the nurse again. No side effects apart from a mild fever.

But his sleep has gone out the window. Yesterday he refused to nap and was awake for something like five or six hours. Weirdly he was happy that whole time and was actually content to play on his own for a little while, which never happens. And last night he was awake and feeding every hour. I'm hoping it's just because of the needles and will pass soon.

Rose Glad the needles went ok. But sorry about the shocker of a night! I hope that settles down for you soon. Sometimes it seems like you swap one good thing only to replace it with another horror thing, ie: happy playing on his own - hourly night feeds!

Harry actually had a slightly better night last night...hoping that's not going to make for a bad day today, but so far so good. We have carpenters and concreters here today preparing for the slab to be laid :dance: spoke with the builder this morning, things are a little behind due to wet weather and public holidays but not too far.
I should really get off the computer and clean up some of the tip that is my house while Harry's sleeping!

Hi Kanda - poor Sienna, did she have a fever as well? I was lucky, Amelia screamed and cried for 5 minutes but was fine after that. Hope she's feeling better now. xx

Hi Rose - bummer Liam didn't sleep and was feeding so much. It's funny how it affects the babies differently. Amelia screamed and cried the same as Liam but she actually slept a lot for the next 24 hours, didn't have a fever and didn't have an increased appetite or anything, thank goodness, that sounds horrendous being up through the night to feed like that again, it's like having a newborn isn't it.

Hi Willow - how exciting that everything is happening :dance: Hopefully Harry will continue his good sleeping habits for you. :D

AFM - Amelia's wonder week/teething days have improved so far so good......didn't have the greatest night, I went in 4 times to her as she tossed and turned and kept getting butted up against the side of the cot - I can't wait till she can learn to roll back the other way in her sleep. Then she decided she wanted to get up at 6.30 am so I feel like I've been up and down all night - oh hang, I have! lol She's happy today though, talking to her froggie on the swing, she's so funny. Is anyone else's bubs rubbing their eyes with the backs of their hands? I know it's a tired sign but Amelia does it when feeding as well, even if she's just got up, is this normal? I'm hoping it's partly a habit and that there's nothing wrong with her eyes. I know she definitely does it when tired but surely she's not constantly tired!

Well bummed today, our swimming class was cancelled due to a chemical inbalance, I haven't been for 3 weeks so was really looking forward to it too. Will have to go for a walk instead. I seriously need to stop making excuses and do something about this 5 kgs I'm still carrying. At this rate I won't fit into any of my normal jeans this winter! :o I still can't get my rings on either - Beany, have you got yours on yet? I'm not sure whether to have them made bigger or not. I can't see why I can wear the one on my right hand but not my wedding finger rings!!!!!!!!

Rose - glad to hear Liam seems to have handled the needles very well :) Tho sorry he has been feeding so regularly, hopefully it will pass soon.

Willow - can't say we've had any car issues, tho we never travel with him at night, so perhaps it might be a different story then.

Suz - glad you had a nice trip! Sorry to hear you are sick tho...hope you get better soon. And I hope your bubbies don't get it too. With the teats/bottles - we are using Avent bottles & teats and using the 2 hole teats as Michael doesn't like the 3 holes cos it comes out too fast for him! Good luck for your needles today! We have ours today too :(

Tilda - thats great Matilda is taking to flying so well...what a good little girl! You have needles today too? If so..good luck!

BS - allt he best for your trip, you must be sooo excited! I hope the flight goes well :)

Alison - hehe, Michael decided to get up early this morning too! He hasn't been up since before 6am for weeks! Hmm...but it was only 5.30am, so can't complain really! YES! Michael has been rubbing his eyes heaps too...which I've always seen as a tired sign...but when I put him down he just won't sleep (see below). No, still can't get rings on. Well, I can kind of jam them on, but it hurts and its hard to get them off again. Will wait a bit longer before I decide what to do re resizing.

Hello to all the lovely ladies I have missed...hope you are all keeping well!

AFM - sorry for the brief post today...Michael's day sleeps have gone downhill the past week. He takes FOREVER to get to sleep during the day, and even then its only ever for 30-40 mins and he usually wakes up with this horrible cry. Even as we speak he has been down for nearly 15 mins and he's still whingeing and carrying on. Yesterday I tried putting him down about 4pm for his afternoon nap and he was tossing and turning and talking and whingeing for an hour! In the end I gave up and got him up. And he no longer has a big sleep anymore, so I'm struggling to get things done...I have an ever-growing pile of ironing :(

And today he's getting his 4 month needles :( Getting them done at the GP so going to ask about those white blister things on his willy, OH! and DH and I have noticed that one of his eyes is different from the other. Its his right eye, you can tell when he looks down, his bottom eyelashes sort of disappear and the creases around the eye are different from the other eye. I do wonder if its related to the forcep marks he had over that eye, what if the forceps pushed his eye back??? I still don't understand why the dr used them anyway.

Still struggling with my anxiety...gets me down every now and then...I can't help feel I would enjoy it more if I wasn't so stressy and worried and anxious all the time. Not that I don't enjoy it, I certainly do and I love him to bits, but there's always this constant worry in the back of my mind when I'm with him, and in the front of my mind when I'm not with him, and this surge of fear when he cries or when he doesn't sleep or when other ppl hold him. I get so angry with myself because he really is such a wonderful good baby, I shouldn't have any worries at all. Ho hum.

Hi Beany - so great to hear from you and don't worry, you're not alone, I haven't had as much time to post lately as usual either, Amelia's been very clingy this week - gotta love this Wonder WeekSSSSSSSSS lol. She's better today thank goodness but like I said before, I got the crappy night instead ha ha - can't win! I hope Michael's appointment goes well and let me know what they say about his eye. I hadn't noticed anything but I have to say I noticed Amelia has one eye slight different to the other in shape the other day, it's very slight and when I look at myself I have the same thing so could it be something like that? I'm glad she's not the only one rubbing her eyes and like you she sometimes rubs them but won't go to sleep either - yesterday she slept great but today she's now been awake since 10.00 am (after a 1 hour nap) and it's now 1.00 pm and she's still awake. I've just put her in the jolly jumper to wear her out! Hopefully!

As for your anxiety, you're doing a great job mate, the proof is in the pudding so to speak, he's such a lovely little boy. I think we all have moments of self doubt etc, I think it comes with the territory but if you want to talk you know I'm here. We can have a good chin wag/vent when we catch up with Rose soon. You're a great mum and don't you forget it! xx

Good luck with his needles, he'll be fine I'm sure, Amelia came out unscathed and they seem to do everything the same so why not that as well! Oh and she slept a lot afterwards so you might get some reprieve there at least. These Wonder Weeks are tough huh.....Amelia's also sucking on her bottom lip now too I've noticed today, I assume that's another sign of teething?

Sorry this is a selfish post and I feel bad because it's about my toddler and not my baby, but I don't know the girls in my old babies born thread like I know you girls.

I had the day from Hell yesterday. Ryan was booked for his immunisations at midday, so I accepted an invite for coffee with a few of our Mother's Group Mums at our local shopping centre that morning. All the kids are Craig's age, but a few Mums have had second babies now a bit older and a bit younger than Ryan. Soon after we got there 2 of the toddlers were looking in Ryan's pram and Craig flew into a rage and ran over, grabbed the boy and bit the back of his shirt (no flesh). I was horrified, grabbed him and made him sit in the pram in timeout while I sat Ryan on my knee. There was a big tantrum, then he calmed down. Things seemed fine again, so I let Craig run around. This time, he was sitting in one of the shopping centre rides (a Wiggles Car) and without any provocation that I could see, he bit one of the girl toddlers on the face! I almost burst into tears on the spot. It was doubly awful because this little girl is really timid. Both Mums were really good about Craig's behaviour and said he was probably tired. We had to get straight in the car and go to our immunisation app. I cried the whole way there in the car. Then started again when I talked to the nurse. Craig hadn't slept since getting up at 7am that morning and I had to wake him. They've booked Craig in to the Sleep School here (QE2) because he won't sleep during the day and I really struggle getting him to bed before 10pm each night. Means he's getting only 8-9 hours a night instead of the 10-13 they recommend for his age. I feel like such an awful Mum because I've been watching his behaviour get worse over the months I've been on Mat Leave and had given up on getting him to sleep during the day, but had never made the connection between the two. We did Controlled Crying with him when he was 12 months old and it worked, so the nurse encouraged me to try it again. So, when we got home I put him to bed and shut the door. He grizzled for about 10 seconds and fell asleep. Last night we put him to bed at 7pm, but he didn't fall asleep until 8:30pm. Hopefully it will be better tonight. I just want my happy sweet little boy back.

Ryan cried a bit when he got the actual needles, but stopped quickly and was soon smiling. He slept most of the afternoon, then fed 2 hourly for several feeds. He was a bit hot and grizzly so I gave him some Panadol and he went to sleep around 8ish and slept all night. But I didn't get to sleep all night because Craig wet the bed and tried to climb in with us at 2:45am. I had to get up, strip his bed and remake it, put him in clean dry pjs and put him back to bed. That was the first time he's ever wet the bed during the night since ditching the night nappies over 2 weeks ago.

While we were at the clinic I weighed and measured Ryan, at 19 weeks old he's 68cm and 8.575kg. No wonder I thought his 00 clothes were looking a bit small!

Hope everyone else that was going for immunisations yesterday (or this week) had a better time than we did!

Suz - what a god awful day!! Good friends of mine had Tweedle (a melbourne sleep school I think) come and do a home consultation with their toddler and had great results. I think it pretty much involved letting their toddler cry it out for about an hour the first night and it improved heaps from there. And he sleeps through now instead of getting his mum and dad up 4 times a night! So I hope you get just as good results. It sounds like you've already had improvements. And maybe better night sleeps will actually help him sleep during the day because he won't be so overtired and cranky. You are doing such a fabulous job. I don't know how you juggle toilet training, toddlers, baby, future renovations! All of us with just the one bub are in awe!!

Beany - You sound so anxious you poor thing. I know what it's like. As you probably guessed from some of my mid-night posts I get anxiety attacks when my neck/back play up. It's an awful feeling. But don't underestimate how wonderful you and Michael are doing. I'm always impressed at how well you get Michael to self settle most of the time. But don't worry if it's not all of the time (most bubs never do!). They're all going through a bit of fussy spot at the moment. Hope the doctor can tell you if there's anything going on with his eye.

Alison - Matilda rubs her eyes whenever she feeds too. I think it might be a self-soothing thing they do when they're feeling all content with a full tummy. It's very cute. I hope you had a better night with Amelia. She's such a wriggler isn't she! Matilda barely moves an inch (too heavy probably :lol:).

Kanda - I hope Sienna is feeling better after her needles.

Willow - Hope you had a good day after your good night. I actually find Matilda sleeps better during the day after a good night so here's hoping :crossfingers: BTW I've tried using the hip seat again after my physio raved about them. I think I used it incorrectly the first time. I'm still not convinced it's not aggravating my lower back but if I just use it for a short time to stroll around the garden it seems ok and it does take a lot of stress of my upper back, shoulders and neck. So you may want to give one a go - especially if you could get one cheaply on Ebay.

Rose - hope things have calmed down after the needles. You're doing great at going with the flow. Babies seem to be all about the flow huh!

BS - Thinking of you in NY you lucky thing! Love, love, love NY!

AFM - Well we had our needles yesterday. I was all psyched up for a terrible night because she hadn't been sleeping well anyway. We've had a few nights of 2 or 3 feeds, not wanting to resettle and then up for the day at 4:30 or 5:30. Not fun! But after a big scream for a couple of minutes and a bit of "I feel very sorry for myself" whimpering, she had a bit of a nap and then was down for the night at 6:30 and only fed once, resettled quickly and slept in until 6:30am. Bliss! I never thought I'd consider 6:30 a sleep in LOL!! And it looks like she might have made it past the 45 minute hump this morning. Hopefully it's not just the vaccinations that made her sleep well last night and we'll go back to our usual one feed a night routine. :crossfingers: Just wondering if anyone has tried to encourage their bubs to get attached to any comforters or soft toys as a way of getting them to resettle during the night? And is anyone else still wrapping? I'm still wrapping after a couple of gos with the bag. Because she's a bit unsettled lately its hard to tell whether she's waking up with the bag or is just unsettled anyway.

Hi Suz - oh dear you poor thing what a horrible day you had! Biting is a stage isn't it? I've heard of lots of littleons doing that. I'm sure your friends understood. Let's hope he starts to sleep better and it will help solve a lot of the problems. I'd be cranky on lack of sleep too. Wow Ryan is a nice healthy boy lol......Amelia's still in 00's but I'm not sure for how long, I am going to take her and have her weighed with the health nurse next week out of interest. :D

Hi Tilda - glad Matilda's needles went well as well. I find Amelia always sleeps really well after her needles, hope it stays that way for you. To answer your question re toys etc, I've just started putting one of Amelia's toys in the bed with her at night - it's a mouse/rat thing that I got from Ikea and she loves it, it's in some of her pics. Anyway, since doing that I've found she settles herself if she wakes up in the night and I don't even have to go in her room half the time anymore, she likes to hang onto it, she's one of these babies who has to have a security blankie type thing lol, it's really cute. So yes give it a try. I figure they can't suffocate anymore as they can move it away and roll etc. Let me know if it works for you.

Suzi :hug: What a sh** day especially when you're not feeling well:hug: I would guess that the other mums were right about Craig being tired and when you're tired and cranky with limited communication skills then biting would be a great, quick effective, way of showing his frustration. Don't you feel awful, you've been a bit tired yourself, and trying to deal with toilet training you're allowed to let things slide every now and then, you can't be on top of everything all the time!! You are human! ...Truth be known I've been letting my 16yr olds behaviour get a bit out of hand too since Harry arrived I'm only just getting back onto that the last few weeks. I was doing the old turn a blind eye and hope it sorts it's self out:shakehead: and honestly I think 2yr old behaviour and 16yr old behaviour is very similar...give an inch and they'll take a mile!
I hope you're feeling better now and hopefully the boys don't come down with the cold as well.
I hope the QE2 works out too, I didn't realise they worked with toddlers as well. Will you go and stay there with him? Or do they do home visits now? Sounds like you're getting the job done on your own judging by your FB status:D

I've tried to encourage a little bear Harry likes as a comforter for sleeping, I also was hopeful of thumb sucking, but he seems to have stopped that now, he was keen on the bear for a while but I think he's getting over that now too. It would have been good for him to have a comfort thing to help him settle because he's not very good at it himself...actually he's terrible...breast is the most reliable settler for him now, or the swing, which I really try not to rely on too much because he will grow out of it and then I'm stuffed!! I don't think yo u can make a baby be attached to a comforter, if they are they are if they're not they're not, but I'm still giving it a go in hope! DS1 had a stuffed dog that he loved, wouldn't go to bed with out it (very cute) but DS2 never attached himself to anything so they're all different.

Beany Anxiety is horrible I've been there too, I still have the odd attack but not too regularly thank god. You are doing a great job with Michael so don't question yourself, I too am impressed with how well you settle him, an d he's happy and healthy and really seems to be thriving so don't change a thing you're doing great!
Hope the needles went ok, and very keen to hear about the little blisters, I'm sure they're nothing serious but would like to know what the GP says and compare note with my DS's spots.

The bottom lip thing could be teething, could be just that she's found her lip too and it tastes good, mmmm bottom lip :lol:, omg I'm starting to talk crap now, I apologise! It must be the Wonder Week getting to me along with the lack of sleep.

Willow - Thank you :) I can't help but think that its Michael who is doing all the good work...he's such a wonderful baby, I think I'm just lucky! (see below about the blister-things)

Alison - Wow, thats great you haven't had to get up to Amelia during the night! I"m still getting up for Michael...but to be honest, I dont' really mind. So long as its only once or twice, and just to pop the dummy in. I've had a couple of early mornings where he just won't go back to sleep! They're yucky. Actually, yes MIchael has been sucking on his bottom lip...but I've found its usually a sign that he's starting to get cranky and he makes a groaning type noise at the same time.

Tilda - Good on little Matilda! :clap: She's a tough little cookie :) So glad to hear she is sleeping better now. I tried to get Michael onto a comforter thing...a little taggie blanket thing, but found that if I put him down with it, he'll just play with it instead of going to sleep! So, I've given up on it. I haven't wrapped him since he was about 10 weeks I think, I don't think he would stand for it now...he loves to have his hands up and out!

Suz1 - oh you poor thing - what a day. I think I would have cried too. Hopefully its just a phase, and it was great the other mums were understanding. What happens at a sleep school? I'm not too familiar with it.

AFM - Well, went to see the GP...this is a new GP I haven't seen before (I was all excited to get into this medical centre since my other one closed and they previously weren't taking new patients), anyway not too sure if I"m happy with this GP or not. She had a look at the rash on his cheeks which she said looks like its related to his eczema, which I had already suspected, and just to put sorbelene on it. She looked at his eye and couldn't see any difference in the function of the eye, he was moving it ok and the pupil looked fine. She also looked at the white blisters on his willy...said they're just on the skin so probably they're ok and will disappear in time. But I dunno, she just didn't fill me with confidence. I'm actually thinking of getting a 2nd opinion on both his eye and his willy.

The needles were a bloomin palaver too. I'd booked him in to the same medical centre for his immunisations..but when we got there they said the only had one of the injections there (cos of the storm they lost power and a lot of their "injection stuff"...the word fails me at the mo!). I wish they'd told me earlier! They did say they could give one today and one next week. Pfft. Luckily the immunisation clinic was on the same day anyway so we just drove there and got them done. He screamed for about 30 seconds and then was ok. By the time we got back to the car he'd forgotten all about it! That evening he was fine, his normal self. But it wasn't till about lunchtime the next day I noticed he felt a bit hot, so took his temperature and he had a mild fever of 37.8. He didn't seem too bad, just a bit more whingey than normal and off his food a bit. Not sure if he had this reaction last time as I didn't have my thermometre. But he went to sleep ok and slept like normal at night. Phew!

Went to the BAby & Kids market today, for the first time. Hmm! Wasn't very well organised, it was too small a location so people couldn't take their prams around, it was really cramped too. I got a play gym thing for $10, not bad! But got a shock at some of the prices some people charge! I mean honestly!

As for the GP, it's good that she seemed to think everything was all good, but if you're not sure go with your gut, it can never hurt to get a second opinion, after all they are 2 quite important bits you're dealing with! If nothing else it'll put your mind at rest. And loosing a lot of their injection stuff ( the word fails me at the moment too lol) only some of it? I would have thought all of it, probly good you didn't have it done there, unless the ones they still had didn't need cool storage maybe?

Hi Willow - the teething necklace definitely seems to be helping, either that or it's a coincidence! The amber beads apparently release something (sacylic (sp) acid or something) into the blood stream (all natural) and help relieve pain from teething. BB advertise them so here's the link - I think it's worth a try and it definitely seems to help, they apparently last forever and you just put them in the sun occasionally. Hi Beany - don't worry, Amelia wakes most nights for the dummy as well, usually at least twice but some nights she doesn't which is bliss - but like you, it doesn't bother me as it's up and back to bed in a matter of minutes. I'd be getting a 2nd opinion if you don't feel right, go with your instinct, can't do any harm. Bummer about the market, I was going to suss that out when it comes out my way as I've heard they're really good.

AFM - am about to go for a stroll with the pram, DH and doggie in tow. Been at a 2 year olds party today, was ok but a bit warm and muggy so didn't stay long. Also, just have to add, I'm getting quite down about not being able to wear my wedding rings, it's been 6 months! I tried in the shower this morning and they're fine but the minute the water stops running they swell up and I have to quickly wrench them off, I don't understand as I can wear my other ring on my right hand. Should I be getting them resized, will they ever fit again. :shakehead:

Hmmmm the rings???? Are you retaining water? Have you tried them on during different weeks in your cycle? Or maybe you're not drinking enough water...or too much? Maybe you've built up the muscle in the fingers on your left hand, no really! It happened to me after I started work as a cleaner just from doing repetitive work with my hands, maybe there's something you do now since Amelia that you didn't do before?

Hi Willow - thanks for the tip on the grobags. So Harry gave up the thumb huh? Every now and then I catch Matilda sucking her thumb. I wish she'd do it more and give my boobs a break!

Hi Beany - what a drama with the immunisations. But what a little trooper Michael is. Can you go to your pediatrician for a second opinion? It would be worthwhile for peace of mind. I used to be convinced there was something wrong with one of Matilda's eyes (and was worried it was something to do with that time she spat her medication out and it ran into her eye). It seemed smaller and shut a bit more slowly at times. But it seems OK now.

AFM - It has been a very spewy and pooey day today. I think it might have something to do with the immunisations. But Matilda seems her usual self other than that. How bizarre - my baby monitor just started playing the theme to Underbelly. It must be picking up the tv transmission somehow. I'm still struggling to get Matilda to take anything more than 40 minute naps during the day most days. I read in the no-cry sleep solution book they should be getting about 5 hours of day time naps. Ha!! It's weird how obsessed you can get about sleep. I think I probably harp on about it. And poor DH bore the brunt of it at 1am this morning. It had taken me an hour to resettle Matilda and I'd just gone back to bed when he started calling out in his sleep (apparently he was dreaming that vampires had come for Matilda). Then he decided to throw himself out of bed grunting and making the bed squeak and the floor boards groan which woke Matilda up well and truly. So I bit the bullet and just decided to give her another feed. She's just getting sleepy when he gets back from the loo and throws himself in bed making all of the above sounds again and wakes her up again. Argh!!! At this point I let my displeasure be known. And then I lay awake for another hour feeling guilty for snapping at him. Well, I think I'm going to get myself off to bed in case we have resettling issues again. Sleep well everyone.

*Tilda* - Yes, totally obsessed with the sleep thing here too ;) Perfectly understandable that you would go off at DH like that over waking Matilda. The Rotavirus vacc often gives the bubs the vomits and nasty poos, poor Tilly.

*Willow* - Sorry Harry's sleep was short-lived. Thanks for sending the details of your builder. We've been trying to decide what to do for years but we know we need a bigger house. Glad you're happy with your Ergo.

*Alison* - Thanks for posting the link for the Amber Teething Necklaces. Our clinic nurse also suggested them. Hope you enjoyed your walk. Sorry you still can't wear your wedding rings, I hope someone has a suggestion for you that works.

*Beany* - You're a great Mum and you only have to look at Michael for the proof. Definitely get a 2nd opinion on Michael's rashes and skin bumps if you're worried about them, better to be safe than sorry. The Sleep School here (QE2) is a residential facility where you stay overnight with your bub/toddler and they help you with feeding and/or settling.

AFM - It's the 3rd night of our new 7pm bedtime for Craig. The day sleeps are going really well and he really is like a different kid. I feel awful for not realising how badly his lack of sleep was affecting him. Bedtime is a different matter as it's still taking quite a while for him to get to sleep. I'm really hoping that we don't need to go to the Sleep School and that we can do this on our own.

Tilda - Liam's in the 40 minute nap club most of the time, too. That's if I'm lucky at the moment - the last few days he's only has 2 or 3 naps, 20-30 minutes each. He's actually okay for most of the day, but it makes for a most unpleasant evening. And if he naps better (as he did a couple of times last week), he does seem to sleep better at night. I'm working on it, using methods from the No Cry books, but it gets exhausting. I guess some babies just don't need to nap as much. It makes me envious of my SIL, though - her little girl is a month older, and sleeps for 11 hours at night, as well as about 5 hours during the day. And I probably would have been cranky too if my DH had been noisy like that at night. My patience wears very thin in the wee hours.

I'm actually planning on trying to get Liam attached to a lovey - I've ordered a Prince Lionhart back to sleep bear that I hope he'll like.

Alison - I'd say just get your rings resized so you can wear them now. You can always size them down again later on. I'm "lucky" in that I was heavier when I got married, so my rings were too big before I got pregnant, so they still fit now. Though I did have to take them off during pregnancy because I was retaining so much fluid. And they're still a little tight.

beany - I'd say that if you're worried at all, go for the second opinion. It's much better to put your mind at ease. Sucks a bit about the market being disorganised, but bargain on the play gym! I'm planning on checking out the next one, should all go well.

willow - I ordered slumbersacs from that ebay seller, too :) The slumbersac website actually has a good deal on at the moment, too, which works out a little cheaper.

suz - What a day! I hope that the sleep school gets things sorted out for you. I still don't know how you manage with the two of them (and how anyone else does!).

AFM - Things have been pretty rough. Liam's pretty much stopped napping during the day, except for a couple of catnaps, and his nighttime sleep has been really bad, too. Yesterday he was really grizzly during the day, which really grated on me. DH went out last night, and thankfully Liam went to sleep fairly easily, so I got a few hours to myself. I realised that it's pretty much the first time I've had to myself properly in ages and ages.

Today has been a little better - he still didn't nap much, but he was generally happier, just getting grizzly at the end of the day. For pretty much the first time we were able to have him just lying on the couch between us for a decent chunk of time and he was happy to entertain himself (mostly because he discovered that he can grab his feet), rather than us having to always be entertaining him. He's started properly giggling over the last few days, too, which is gorgeous.

My own health is getting crappy again, though. My arthritis has flared, with the pain at a level which stopped me from sleeping last night. I'm going to give it a little time, just in case it's just the change of season, but if it sticks around, I'll have to see my rheumatologist. I guess it'll be back onto steroids, since I can't take any of my other meds while breastfeeding. Not happy about that, since the steroids make it very difficult to lose weight. I'm getting really fed up with my weight, too, but I'm constantly starving. And I'm still having hot flashes, which are getting super uncomfortable. I'm going to see my GP in a couple of weeks to try to figure out what's going on there - whether it's side effects from the Zoloft I'm on, or if it's something hormonal. I feel like I'm falling apart a bit. I really hope that Liam has a couple of good nights - it's much easier to cope with everything when I've managed some decent rest.

Rose, I am glad Liams needles went well and I think you might really need a night to yourself...if there no way to leave DH with pumped milk and orders not ot bother you so you can sleep (or will you be like me and still get up every time Liam cries - I did that twice and it only worked the time I actually had DH leave to go to MIL's house!)

Alison, sucks abou the rings? Is it the weight? How much do you have to lose from the preg? My ring was big when I got married and I wore it through the preg (although tighter for sure) and it is still pretty tight, but I also have a ton of weight to shift so I blame it on that...also they might fit once it cools down...summer puffs up everything!

Beany, I sometimes gets stressed too - when she cries or sleeps, I am anxious because I think I'll hear her cry...or when people handle her and I know she will not like it...and sometimes with going out since I never know how it will be, but I force myself not to stress...I have def gotten better...you just have to look at Michael and how great he is. We have a tendency to want to protect them from everything and keep them in a sort of sheltered sterile environment, but we have to remember that can't happen...I have to keep reminding myself that...

He seems to be happy, well adjusted and easy to deal with except for the rare and very normal times (wonder weeks, tired etc...) - you have to keep reminding yourself that he is human and that it is not possible to keep him super happy 100% of the time. Just like your moods change, so do his. And crying is his way of talking for now, so try not to get too anxious. You are doing such a great job and it is obvious that you and your DH (who seems to be very supportive as well) adore him and are doing a wonderful job showing him that...babies need to feel loved and that is the most important thing after the basic physical needs, so you should be proud of yourself and keep telling yourself that you're doing a great job :) - for the eye thing, Eva has one eye slightly smaller than the other with a different undereye shape and crease, but so does DH, so I think it is ok. Faces are not perfectly symetrical. She also has a blocked tear duct on one side, so I think it will be less noticeable when that goes away. I don't think you should stress unless it seems irritated or swollen.

Suz, sorry you had such an awful day...I am glad the sleep seems to be getting better. Poor craig, he has had a lot change in his life in the past few months, and not being able to express that probably caused him to have difficulty sleeping and to lash out. I am sure it will be fine. Good luck with the sleep training. He seems like a cute great kid so I am not worried, I just hope you get some rest as well.

Tilda, glad the needles went well. I get you on the sleep thing - I would yell too...but that is why I took eva out of the room. I could not stand every time I finally got her down to sleep and one of us making noise would wake her up! Eva has a doll she loves in her bed (you can see it in the facebook pics - it is red and orange) - she used to just stare at it and talk to it when she was tiny but at around 1.5 months she started caressing it to go to sleep...now she literally rubs it to sleep and puts it on her face or sleeps on it. If she naps in her playpen, she likes to have a muslin near her head and she puts it on her face too, so I am not sure if she attached to that one doll or just anything soft - but I try to give her something (thought not always the same thing) to put on her face...hopefully she does not get too attached to just one thing as it would be easier if I could just give her any soft fabric...If I put my hand on the side of her face she falls asleep too...

Willow, how is the construction going? How much more time until it's done?

AFM, boobs are down to tiny again :redface: but not hurting so that's great...Eva got a cold and I have to fly Thrusday so I am REALLLLLY hoping it passes by then - an 8 hour flight with a grumpy congested baby won't be fun. I am actually surprised though, as she is in a very good mood, just the sleeping is awful. I woke up at least 15 times last night to put the dummy back in and at one point DH took over so I don't even know how many times she woke up! She is running a very tiny fever so nothing too alarming, but she is so congested...she has snot running out of her nose and is drooling all over since she has her mouth open to breath. I have been rinsing with saline solution (she hates it of course), massaging her sinuses, and cleaning out the boogies with qtips...I have to see the paed on tuesday anyway to see if we can stop the reflux meds (it will be complicated bringing a refrigerated syrup to ny and I will feel awful continuing to put it down her throat whenever she wakes up for her first feed...the doc said to stop at 5 months, and I am a week off of 5 so hope he'll approve my stopping now.

Also, on another great note - I restarted the pill 10 days ago and have already lost 3 kilos! My face is less puffy and my tummy is starting to slowly go down and my skin is clearing up and I feel much better. I am very happy that I made the decision to wean and take care of myself physically, because I feel so much better and am full of energy to take care of Eva and play more etc...maybe not today after that wonderful night of no sleep :ROFL: so I will keep up my training and am even mopre motivated to do so now since I am actually seeing results and hope to get back to sort of myself by the summer - I have about 20kg to lose :( (8 gained when I stopped the pill to get preg and 12 left over from the preg!) so these first three are nothing really, but at least I know that if I work hard at it all will be well.

I am starting to pack and get ready for this trip and am so excited to go back home...I just have a bit of anxiety for the flight...keep your fingers crossed that Eva loves airplanes :)

Hi Tilda I hear you on the noisy DH thing!!!! Mine is the same, noisy getting in and out of bed, noisy talking in his sleep, and coughing, he has asthma AND still smokes so is always coughing. Yesterday I told him off for coughing (which may have been a bit harsh) but Harry is still being an absolute shocker with his feeds, he's distractible and fussy about how he'll feed it can take an hour for him to finish a feed sometimes depending on his mood, and DP knows it's a problem. So anyway I got him to start feeding pretty well when DP comes into the room to use the computer and starts coughing (probably just been out for a smoke:shakehead:) and it was all over Harry heard him, pulled off the boob started whinging wanted to sit up, then wanted to suck again, but pulled off straight away, so I took him into the bed room to lie down to feed as that sometimes works, but no he kept grizzling, DP says "what's wrong?" I snapped "You coughed! This is all because you coughed!" It then took another 45 mins before he would finish the feed then he was over tired so wouldn't settle properly for a sleep Grrrr.

So Matilda is still using you as a human dummy too huh? Harry does that as well but mostly at nigh from about 8pm he would just suck if I let him, he finishes a feed then wants to suck but doesn't latch properly sometimes (because he's not feeding) which is very OUCHY at times. I really wish he would find his thumb again, he likes to lie down to feed a lot too which is hurting my back I think we need a new mattress.
I hope the spews and poos stop soon!!

Sounds like Harry and Liam are on the same sleep wave length, Harry will only sleep about 30 - 40 mins through the day, some mornings I might get lucky and get an hour and a half sleep but that's not regular. He also needs to be amused and is very grizzly it is very exhausting I'm really feeling it the last week or so, and even worse today as the last 2 nights have been crap! He was up every hour night before last and last night was hourly except for between 12.30 and 3am he only slept for 15mins and wanted to feed, oh what I would do for some sleep!
I'm sorry your pain is getting bad, you said you're on Zoloft, my friend has recently started on an anti depressant which is pretty much the same as Zoloft (the generic brand maybe?) one of the reasons she has started on it besides her depression, is menopause (she had a hysterectomy 2 yrs ago and her ovaries have basically shrivelled up and gone now) the doctor was saying that they quite often use Zoloft for menopausal women as it actually helps with some of the hormonal imbalances such as hot flushes, so maybe the way it works is giving you hot flushes?? If it works differently to other anti depressants and can stop hot flushes then maybe it can give you hot flushes too? Just a thought, but I hope you get it sorted soon, I'm only sleep deprived with achy muscles and I'm nearly at the end of my tether, I think you're doing a fantastic job with no sleep on top of your arthritis and depression, keep up the good work I admire you!

Hi BS Here's hoping Eva's cold clears up for you:pray: It's not effecting her ears is it? I don't think they let you fly if it's effecting their ears the pressure is no good, so clear those boogers and keep up the fluids to get it cleared up:D
As for your tiny boobs I'm jealous! I have D cups normally which I'm not a fan of, but now with BF I've got an F cup I hate them!! So enjoy the smaller size I'd swap you anyday:D But great that they're not sore any more, and that you're starting to drop the weight and feel yourself again.
Construction wise, they laid the slab on Friday and the framework and windows are supposed to be delivered tomorrow, we're a bit behind schedule maybe a week due to rain and public holidays the builder is sending us a revised finish date this week but I would say there's still at least 5 weeks until it's done, and it can't come soon enough! Will be great!

Well Harry's been asleep for 45mins now, he had a terrible night last night, as I grumbled about earlier, so maybe he's going to make up for it now, I wish he'd let me know so I could go and have a sleep. Usually he wakes up with in 5mins if I go and lay down though.
I am so tired and over it the last few days he's been very full on through the day and then not sleeping well at night just tops it off. Even his usual 2 hourly feeds were tiring enough but this waking every hour or more is wrecking me.

I feel like this has been a long and raving post so I'll put you all out of your misery now and sign off.

To answer you all re my rings, interesting on the concept of it being muscle as I do carry Amelia on the left side holding onto her with my left hand sometimes but I really do think it's fluid as I can get them on in the shower, but as soon as the water stops running my fingers puff up and go red.....it's so annoying as prior to getting the fluid retention at the end of my pregnancy they used to swing around in the cooler months and fitted perfectly in the warmer months. So annoying, I'll speak to my jeweller and see what she thinks.

Hi BS, I still have a good 5 or 6 kgs to lose although I can easily wear the ring I wear on my right hand on so I don't think it's a weight thing on my hands. I hope Eva's cold goes before you travel. Can you get Fess over there? It's a saline nasal spray that you can give bubs, I used to use it myself as I can't use the other things and it does help a lot.

Hi Tilda - sounds like DH had a pretty out there dream/nightmare! Bummer it woke Matilda up. DH makes a bit of noise when he gets up for work in the mornings which irritates me a bit but it doesn't always wake Amelia. Last week though he made such a racket when shutting to door to leave that she woke up grrrr.

AFM - well, Amelia didn't sleep much yesterday arvo at my friend's little boys birthday party and then we went to the in-laws for dinner (again!) and she didn't sleep there either - as usual MIL overstimulated her so I thought we'd be in for a bad night but it was quite the opposite! I started feeding Amelia a little more yesterday as the last few days she's been wanting to feed every 2.5 to 3 hours again so I thought maybe with the growth spurt etc she's hungrier and it worked a treat - she went 4 sometimes a little more hours between so I dropped the last feed - she should've had the last feed at 8.00 pm if she'd gone 4 hours but she went a little longer so didn't feed until almost 9.00 pm and slept until 8.00 am without a peep! I woke up this morning and had to ask DH if I got up to her as I thought I'd done it on auto pilot and not realised lol. So exciting. Probably won't happen again tonight as I imagine it's because she was so exhausted from yesterday but I'll take it thanks! Today I'll see if she goes the 4 hours again and if she does the last feed should be around 8.00 pm so will be interesting to see what time she lasts till - I imagine she'll be up more around 6.00 am then 8.00 am but I don't care, especially if she doesn't have me up for the dummy two or three times in the night! Will let you know how it goes, no two nights are even the same are they!

Well, best go have my shower while she has her nap. It's rainy here today so the room is nice and dark and cosy so hopefully it will help her have a longer nap! I have to go to the dentist for a filling today, I broke an old filling when I was in hospital with Amelia and have been putting it off since lol. I HATE the dentist! My sister's going to watch Amelia while I go, wish me luck, I'm a scaredy cat with the dentist.
