Busy busy here too, hence another absence! Sorry sorry! We didn't even go away for the long weekend, we stayed at home but I've just been flat out!
Nai - oh no, molars?? Ouch. Poor thing! Makes it hard, doesn't it? Hope you're all cleaned up after the weekend - my friend went to the races and was stuck there for hours while it all came down in Flemington... sounds like you were ok considering where you live!
Kaz - glad you had a good weekend away! How did last night go?? Was it a bit better after the previous better night you had? :hug: Hope things are finally starting to improve.
Ali - Happy birthday to Ash for yesterday! Hope you guys had a great day and a fantastic party. Look forward to hearing about it...
Olive - thanks for keeping our thread going ;) How's your little climber?? We had a fat lip on Monday night - head first into the coffee table because she had her hooded towel on after the bath and lost her footing. Poor thing! She was pretty good though, I think we've got a tough cookie on our hands. Cried for a few minutes and then was fine! She's not quite able to get up onto our couch yet...
Malyna - book? How exciting! Can't wait to see if you get published! Would you consider self-publishing?? I've always wanted to write something but I don't really have any great ideas... So impressed you can write a book while dealing with Mr A :claphands:
Shell - I can't imagine how hard that must be! "Get off, mummy has to go to work now"... I think I'd almost cry every time! Hope it gets better soon! Thanks for your kind words too :)

AFU: well we've had a great few days at home - even if DH cracks it when there is a reason we have to stay home for a long weekend (we had my grandmother's 90th birthday dinner on Sat night hence no going away), I think it was really nice to spend some time as a family and get some stuff done around the house.
Friday my sis and I went to the Baby Show (waste of time really - OMG it was so hot, so crowded and just not worth the effort!), Sat DH and I bought some new fish for our aquarium - DD loves them! Points and says "Fsssshhhh!" then had pub dinner for Gran's birthday, which was a bit hard with DD but anyway, Sun we had a friend's birthday BBQ lunch and Mon DH installed some new lights in the kitchen (it has taken a year - why did I marry an electrician?!? :rolleyes:) and then we hit the spare room!
One of my friends came round (bless her) and was completely ruthless - "What is this (insert name of piece of junk that we were keeping for some reason...) and why do you need to keep it? You don't? Right, its going to the salvos/bin!"
We are finally looking like we may just be able to have a bedroom for DD ready before the baby comes! Hurrah! Maybe Easter weekend we will be able to paint and set up her bed, that'd be good. Then that'll give us all of April, May and June to see how she goes in a Big Girl Bed!
Think that's it for me! Had a check up yesterday for bubs, all great, measuring as he should, all fine. Stupid Dr wanted me to do the long GD test - but the MW overruled him and changed it hehe :D
Oh and we are completely stumped for names - feel free to throw some ideas my way! We want something traditional, that works well with Isabel and the middle name will be Leigh. Cannot start with an A, G or L.
We like but can't use (due to other family using the names) Aiden, Ryan, Matthew, Thomas, James... those sort of things. Help me out!!!

BBL finding it hard to post during the day at the moment, M woke late this morning which will probably either mean one sleep again or two but one being very late...sign...
started reading a book last night on senses and sleep, very interesting, ive long suspected M has a few sensory issues, DH thinks im bonkers :rolleyes:

We had some friends round last night, including a couple with a 12wk old bubs, he was so unsettled, he's got reflux and some other issues, had been getting better but is pretty feral again at the moment - we had a big chat about expectations about "sleeping through" and all that junk... its scary how much pressure is on parents (and mums especially) to have these perfect babies!
I told her that DD didn't really stop waking overnight until about 10mths and how even now she still calls out most nights at some point and still often needs an early morning (5-6am) resettle! I think she felt better at that!
Can't use Alex (friend's baby), my uncle is Nicholas... I do like Rohan and Xavier! Might start a new list...
nothing major op, doesnt like blankets etc.. over her, i think gets overstimulated easily during the day, likes tactile thinks like the blankie in hands and over face etc...

AFU - Evil night last night again :( Lots of wake ups. DP is being really good and putting lots of time into resettling but we're still spending long hours awake through the middle of the night. DS has bitten my left bbie too so now it's cracked near the base and it HURTS like blazes when he feeds. He brought tears to my eyes last night. It's taken me right back to the early months. He's really fussing and pulling on it lots too and the crack is getting bigger :( Don't know how to stop him doing it. He's so big and he just tantrums when I take him off and try to re-attach him. I bought some Lanisoh today, hopefully that helps.
He's trying out LDC right now for the first time. :cry: Gotta go express and then I'll pick him up. It's so weird without him. Felt like I forgot something the whole time I was out and I'm still creeping around at home so as not to wake him up until I remember that he's not here :rolleyes:
we loved the name Max! if we had a boy that would have been the name!
kaz i had issues a few weeks back with a sore around the base of the nipple, but on the areola, from teeth and man it HURT! i had to reallly watch my position-chin to breast, chest to chest and legs tucked around, doing that improved the attachment and the sore healed up.
we had a badish one too, but up longer with DD1 than DD2 :doh:
i feel weird when DD1 is at kinder too, feels very lonely without her!

bad morning DD is fighting day sleeps like you wouldnt believe :( she was up for 5 hours before i got her to sleep, loads of hysterical screaming in my arms,she was so tired, going to the Dr tomorrow as she has a runny nose and were worried about ear issues again, especially with the sudden sleep issues, she finally settled after nurofen
Oh Kaz, you poor thing! Sounds very painful. Not really sure how to help apart from what olive has already suggested... just going back to basics and making sure it is all ok.

Olive, hope DD2 is ok - not good with the sleep issues. Sounds like we are all doing it tough at the moment in one way or another! Good luck at the Dr tomorrow.
I really like Max... Kaz we have a friend with a son Jacob unfortunately as I quite liked that one! :D Josh I have a thing about - all the Joshs I hvae known have been brats! Toby, again another friend has a son named Toby... Zachary loved until we found out that DH's cousin's illegitimate love child (I kid you not) is a Zachary... sigh, it is all too hard :rolleyes:

Lots to say but no time, nothing major happening with us, L still not walking and is no where near ready...but to be honest I don't mind keeps him a bit younger in my eyes, Don't want my baby to grow up!!
Sleep bad too here, L waking the past few night with a poo at 3 am???? WTF, any ideas on how to break this habit??? DD never had that problem, porbably all the food the boy eats that and booby milk...I feed him all the time..anyone else?
Nai-We have tantys here too, hates getting into the car.

Well, DS apparently loved care. He even slept for 30mins (was there 4 hours) and laughed while they were doing nappy changes :o Wonders will never cease!

olive- I have a Nikon D40 SLR camera. I don't use photoshop, I have Corel Paint Shop Pro X2. Pretty much the same thing but easier to use! Hmm... is M transitioning to 1 sleep maybe?

Heaven- No AF here either, you could try the ovulation POAS things to see if your ovulating? No TTC at our house don't think there will be anymore babies here.

I have had AF back since E was 6 weeks old! And that was while fully BF.
I too have a clingy sooky bub that is not sleeping too well. She is currently grizzling in her room.

Olive- a neighbour was just telling me last week bout her 2 year old that hates blankets touching her always has and can't sleep with them. Makes sense cause even I have certain sensory things I hate.

OP- I am scared to take DD for her 12mth jabs. Heard tey are a nasty lot! Might do it next week on the Wed arvo after I finish work so I am home with her for the rest of the week in case she needs lots of mummy cuddles after them. I think Nai said J had a bad reaction?
ETA- Jols we are normally one sleep. On CC days she only does 50 minutes the whole day :o But at home its a big 2 hour sleep.
AFM- This is a bit of a whirlwind week. Had a great night out for DD's birthday and then the party is this Sunday. I :pray: it doesnt rain as it is supposed to be in our backyard!!! My big woo hoo is I got to co-sleep with DD last night. First time in months!!! I got her out of her cot at about 11:30pm and wrapped her in a blanket and we cuddled in my bed and she stayed asleep until 6:15am. I didnt sleep as well but I missed those snuggles next to each other so much. Just melted my heart :)
Yeah Ali I have heard that too... I'm home all afternoon tomorrow after the jabs with her, so I can give lots of cuddles too if required...
Confession, I did think about sending her down with my MIL but I couldn't do it - I need to be there for it.
Olive - we have sometimes only had one sleep, generally when she has woken late (8am-ish) and then doesn't sleep til 12ish, which then becomes too late for a second sleep. She doesn't handle it too well yet so I think she's really still a two sleeps a day bub.
DD hated the ABs we had to give her (force down her throat more like it) when she had an infection... hoping you have better luck with M.

We have been one sleep for months. Usually about 2 hours from about 12pm.
E had her jabs on the weekend. No problem and no side affects,
E was up a fair bit last night. She is def teething.
from memory with the MMR vax, the reactions generally appear 7-10 days after the jab, DD1 had a mild reaction, covered in spots and miserable about a week after

We just had friends stay with their bub who had one year old vac 2 weeks ago and he came down with fever and rash while he was here....not nice poor bubba! Anika is having hers next friday...not looking forward to it at all!

Thanks guys. He had a pretty good day today after a rough one last night (he slept in til 9am as an indicator and only woke up cause I was in there taking photos (born at 8:53am!). He got very stimulated by more presents this afternoon and a visit from the dotty next door neighbour at dinner time but he was having lots of fun!
Olive - Poor M!! It must be hard to see her sick. Good luck with the ab's - hope she makes a quick recovery. DS did a few one sleep days last week but he's been back to two shorter ones (an hour or so each) this week.
Lilima - :hug: hope that tooth comes down quick smart.

We're trying to night wean atm. With the number of wake ups, my nipple damage and my imminent return to work, now that he's 12 months old it's time. DP did all the resettling last night - he wouldn't let me get out of bed between 11pm and 6:30am. He is awesome! Lets see what tonight brings......

Ellie- oh wow, 9 weeks to go. Thats gone quick, well prolly not to you after all the morn sickness you went thru.
Ali- thats nice, I love co sleeping with Emily, didn't do it with Ash and wish I had. you pretty much prepared for party? They're hard work, hope weather is good.
Olive- 2 sleeps still for us, usually bout 1.5 each, so diff to how Ash was. How is Millie?
Emily is starting to get quite moody now when things dont go her way or she gets really frustrated, started throwing things when they aren't working for her. Funny today took them to the park and she started following this magpie around then when she got bit close for my liking picked her up and oh god she screamed and screamed, never seen her have such a tanty!
