Hi girls.
Great news that Tracey had her bubs. I'll have to go looking for the BA after I've posted this (My computer is playing up a wee bit).
So we moved into the new house. First day (our wedding aniversary) the dishwasher died. We had a heap of rain and the roof leaked in two places and the gutters overflowed (which meant I had to climb up and clean them out - I hate heights). The TV reception started to flake out on us which for me was the major crisis - because the only way I can get DS to sit still long enough for a nappy change is to put him in front of ABC2 - we don't usually have it on - for this very reason!
The day before the river flooded, our hot water service died, so of course the day the plumber was due to come out to install a new instant gas one, the river flooded and it was touch and go as to if the road would be closed.
I told the plumber that I didn't want him to be stranded at my house. When I rang the company up the next day (they had promised me the day before that they could reschedule) they were all "I'm not sure if we can fit you in". 30 minutes later the plumber calls and says "I'll be there in an hour" - he was lovely.
Of course I'd lorded it over DH that I would be having a nice hot shower at the gym - and the building the gym's in is closed due to the river flooding.
I feel like I've been living in a Laurel and Hardy movie for the last few weeks. It's like "Okay what's going wrong today" XD
Alex has started getting very excited about books. He was helping me in the kitchen rolling out a gingerbread house and he's so into everything I do, I'm surprised I get anything done. We are communicating but not really with words. He holds his ear when he hears a noise he wants to know what it is.
He's said Daddy and Morm (mum) and Gran clearly and of course the cats names. He points to animals in a book and we do sound effects and actions.
Oh and I went shopping on Sunday and was chatting away to myself and then realised half way round that I was talking to the groceries and that DS was home with his Daddy!!
Merry Christmas to everyone. Have a safe New Year
xxoo
