thanks girls! you've helped me feel normal LOL!! It seems that most of my mum's group are planning other parties outside the mum's group one so I was feeling mean but I don't anymore and I just realised that mum's group will fall on his birthday so I'll just volunteer my house and put on party food and a cake. They're his mates anyway outside of cc.

Miss J has woken up crying the last 2 nights and clinging to me. She doesn't have a temp but says her ear hurts. She has no other symptoms. Do you think it could be just her teeth or do I make an appointment for the Dr?
as you know DD had plenty of ear infections...most were without a temp!
if shes saying there sore id take her.
DD2 has been waking the past few night too :duh:

Kaz - that sounds like a great birthday party! Wish I could do something like that. Kinda wishing that we weren't having a party - maybe just a family bbq, but what the heck, it's an excuse to get together.
Ah Mr Shingles is okay - except that he's got it on his chest and arm and it hurts like anything, and of course he gets jumped on by DS, plus he feels really wiped out.
Doctor gave him anti-viral meds - side effects - nausea and headaches - he's also got these from shingles - which is a bit of a laugh - he doesn't know what's worse the meds or the disease. Doctor said he's not contagious, so he can go to work (keep covered up), and I think it's only contangious if you come into direct contact with the little pimple things that come up.
Signed a contract with the gym - now I'm going for 12mths on their base membership.

Of all the gifts you may want to get your child for their 2nd birthday - do not get them this! (It was given to Juliette for Christmas and is the most annoying thing ever!!!) Don't be fooled by how cute Miss J looks in this - after it has been played 50 times, it is like fingernails on a blackboard!

Nai- That is so cute! I do think it would drive me nuts tho if I had to hear my 2 on it all day, they usually already like to be loud when they sing.
Yeah go Drs I know Ash has in the past complained bout ear and no temp, go to the Drs and yep ear infection. Better to be safe
Malyna- poor DH and shingles not fun, I know they can be quite painful. I think the oozey stuff is the contagious part, once they dried out its ok. I'd be getting more time off work if I had the pain and the nausea lol but I have plenty sick leave. How often does he get it?
As for birthdays we've been bit slack, poor 2nd child here, Ash we always had everything organised so well. Its snuck up too quick! We were going to have a BBQ with family friends, but this year I thought stuff it after reading the thread on Day out with Thomas Puffing Billy we are going to do that instead. Just gotta organise present now.
Thanks girls! Glad I went as she did have an ear infection although the Dr said that it looked like it was clearing up by itself so no ABs needed thankfully. A bit of neurofen and she slept better last night so hopefully she will continue to improve.

e is going to be in CC for her birthday. Trying to think of something that she can bring in to share or for the other kids to take home that would be suitable. Any ideas? I was thinking a party hat and putting in it a balloon, one of those things that you blow, and a choc frog, then wrapped in cellophane. That way the parents can check it out first and decide if they want their kids to have it.
E's Wee Rider chair arrived a few days ago to go on our bikes. She LOVES it! Sitting up front means she has a heap more to look at. Nai - How long does it take you to get used to the feeling that you are riding with your legs really wide??
Meg- Theres a thread asking bout the orange, apparantly life members, i wondered why I was always orange. Sounds like a good idea what you have planned for E's birthday. Does your CC organise cake or is she in family day care? Where Ash used to go for CC they'd put on a cake for arvo tea.

Then it's Miss J's turn. She has moved into her "big bed" and the last 2 nights have been good, although she did fall out the first night and had to be sent back to bed for getting out the second night - so she has adjusted very well. She is getting 2 more molars so only 1 more to go after that - yay!!!!! She is such a clever, funny little monkey.

DD is being an amazing big sister so far! She is so sweet. She's so happy to see DD2 is still here in the morning when she wakes up, lol. Wants to kiss and cuddle her all the time and help do everything. It's so cute to watch. No jealousy so far!

We have just been busy with birthday party central around here :lol: Miss J had her MHCN 2y checkup today and is doing very well. She is 89cm and 12.5kg so in proportion but still has a BIG head - just like her sister!

det with kinder enrollments we can only do one year in advance, DD wont be going to kinder next year she will go the year after, she will do toddler group at the kinder with me, its a 2 hour semi structured session, like playgroup. anyone else not going to 3 year old next year??
Miss J in in long day care so she doesn't need 3yo kinder. Our 4yo kinder is in the same building as the LDC so she is automatically allocated a place in the kinder so no stress for us there - yay!

She thinks she's ready for school - I don't think I'll be able to hold her back! Seriously though I hadn't considered holding her back so the plan is that she will definitely be going to 4yo kinder in 2013 unless something changes between now and then.
We're going to be starting Montessori 0 to 3 prog next term (coz I'm running it :))...then when Miss A is ready she will move into the junior class when she's around 3...I love that these decisions are made with the parents and you're not forced into anything :)
I'm annoyed with my area now because all the kinders around here state for 3 year old kinder they have to be 3 by the end of january, yet 4 year old kinder and school you have by end april to turn the set age. So its crap cause all the kids born feb- april miss out. I will do what i did with Ash and do one day a week at CC for a year then go into 4yr old kinder. And I'll make sure I apply on time, didn't realise had to apply so early for 4yr, nearly missed out with Ash.
And we're not going to keep Emily back, atm I think she'll be ok, I'll make the judgement when she starts kinder and if need be she can do an extra year there.
Ellie- Thats great that she gets to do something your running, will make it easier for her having you around.
Det- how long til you have to move out yr current place? You'll be living in a storage shed if you don't hurry up find somewhere! And yes i am excited bout footy! Lol.
Heaven- aww that is so sweet, the best part is seeing them together. My 2 fight alot but then the next second they really lookm out for each other and defend each other.

Hey everyone! Sorry for being so slack. I have been thinking of you all but not keeping track of dates. Last year I wrote down everyone's birthday with big plans to post each day this year and now I can't find the bit of paper :rofl: Its the thought that counts right?
So I'll just say a m assive :happybirthday: to all the gorgeous toddlers!
Nai - DS has a DVD with that 'ants go marching song' plus a bunch of other counting songs. It's really cheaply made with kids singing all the songs and he absolutely loves it. Will sit glued to it for nearly 30mins without moving but I can't stand it. Drives me bonkers so it only comes out when I'm desperate! lol.
Just wanted to let you guys know that DP is back in hossy tonight. Seems he had some kind of seizure today. It's just never ending. Right when we thought life could start getting back to normal after cancer we possibly have epilepsy to deal with now. I feel terrible for him and am barely keeping it together. I burst into tears at a mates place this afternoon who had minded DS (and then fed him and bathed him) while I took a bag out to DP and waited for his lumbar puncture to be done (takes a while). I just can't believe we're back in the middle of the medical system, having to go through tests and work out what's going on again. It's scary and it sucks and I want to get off :(
ETA - please don't mention this on fb. DP and I have a lot of the same 'friends' in there and I'm not sure if he wants to be as public about this as he was the Lymphoma. Ta.
Kaz- I really hope he is ok. How long are they expecting him to stay in for?

I am really interested in the Montessori school. There is one that is walking distance from us. But the primary school is just shy of $2,000 per term . As much as I would love to send the kids there, and really believe in their philosophies, we just will be really Syracuse to send them there.

Just found out that BIL wants all the groomsmen to buy suits for his wedding, because the hire ones look cheap - now the one DH hired for our wedding 8 years ago looked fabulous and def not cheap, so I think BIL is just being a PITA.
I haven't even thought about kinder. Maybe I'll have to start looking at it. I was hoping we could just get into the local catholic school program... but I'm not sure how thorough that is.... EEEK!! sigh.. I need to get organised!
DH goes to his sleep clinic tonight - hopefully they can sort him out.
