Heaven - I have the Ikea chair too but yet to use it as I am still using the bumbo as a feeding chair.

Well I have been stuck at home with my mucky-eyed girls all weekend DD1 seems better but Miss J is still oozing so I might have to take her to the Dr again if it isn't clear in the morning. Fortunately I had a nice Friday afternoon with my bestie for her birthday - we went to The Press Club (George Kolombaris's - from MasterChef - restaurant) which was lovely. A glass of Verve Cliquot and a nice lunch - will have to do me for a while I think...

Nai- ooh that sounds nice. Is it expensive there or reasonable? You see George?

Heaven- wow, Em only will sit for maybe 5 seconds before she tips over.

Meg- Em doesn't mind it too much will stay for maybe 10mins occasionally rolls back but most the time grizzles for me to do it, keep reminding her she can but she doesn't listen, lol. Just give E short bursts of it thru out the day if she hates it, just do for couple mins at a time. Put toys in front or dangle above her eyes so she puts her head up to look.

Well I know Jols is happy, Bombers beat Saints winning streak. I was so stressed, shaking towards the end and now have sore throat from yelling and screaming at TV. Think I take my footy too seriously.

Our crap nights returned last night, I don't know if its solids or just a wonder week, she just wakes alot at night, more unhappy during the day. Very whingy and wants to be held alot.

The food was lovely and it wasn't too pricey either - we did the 4 courses for $48 so not as exxy as I had expected. We didn't see George but my friend got a birthday card from him

Miss J has been really unsettled too She has been resettled 3 times already tonight - although she had great day sleeps! Why can't she do both day and night sleeps well?

AJP- Got the highchair! They didn't have the blow up bit but I got the cushion. But she's too big for it anyway! pmsl.
shell- this bloody wonder week has been going for 3 wks!! haha
Pinny- oh well done, I can't get DD to take EBM
Nai- it's always the way, good day bad night or the other way around!

Well, I let DD cosleep last night to see if we got more sleep and we did!! Got a 5hr stretch which we haven't had in about a month!!
Yesterday we tried some solids. We're doing baby led solids and I put some carrot, cauliflower, and banana in front of her. I don't think she ate any! lol. She sucked on it all and got a bit of banana but then spat it out and kept making horrible faces for ages after, haha, I don't think she was a fan of the banana!
    Here's some photos:

Heaven - she is too cute!

Jols - I had to feed her at 4am today but DD1 woke her up as she had a bad dream and was screaming and wanted to come into our bed. So when she came in Miss J woke up and wouldn't resettle. I had to put more drops in her eyes which upset her so I fed her. Poor little thing - she looks so sad with her mucky eye and now she has a runny nose. I am so over my girls beig sick - it seems to be never ending!!

Miss J sat up by herself for almost a minute in the bath last night. She was splashing and laughing so I think she was distracted enough to balance She hasn't done that on the floor yet. She only lasts about 5 seconds before falling over.

Nai & Jols- Thanks, I think so, pmsl.

I think it's easier for them to sit up with no nappy too, that's how DD first did it. Now she can do it with her nappy on and balance good. After about 5-10 mins when she gets sick of it she just pushes herself backwards (I put a boomerang cushion behind her).
All DD wants to do is roll now, that's all she does all day, LOL. I put her down and she just rolls backwards and forwards continually and moves around in circles. The last few days I have been watching her and she's been getting her knees right up under her. A bit scary, I'm not ready for crawling!! She is getting too clever for her own good. Check this out

ETA- is anyone else's bubs just laughing at nothing?? DD does it all the time. She's just laying on her play mat now cracking up, pmsl. Then doing the fake cough and cracking up again.

Heaven - you have a little mover on your hands!! My girls tend to be lazy and like being waited on I think Miss J will laugh at herself but laughs at ANYTHING DD1 does! DD1 just has to make a sound or look at Miss J and she cracks up. She doesn't laugh nearly as much at me or DP!

I just sat Miss J up with no nappy on and she sat for well over a minute - maybe that's why she sits well in the bath! Then as I was going to get a photo she fell forward and hit her head on the plastic slide - lots of tears. I will wait for DP to get home before trying that again - ooops!

VERY cute Sara. DS sat up beautifully from exactly 5 months, but didn't even begin to try and crawl till 10 months. That's why I am pushing E so much with tummy time. Today I put her on her tum, and she rolled straight om to her back. So tried again about 10 mins later, and she just put her head down and cried. He been putting her over the fitball and rolling her. She seems to like that.

I hear you all about the sleeping thing. E woke twice last night before 10:30 pm VERY distressed. I had to cuddle her back to sleep. It is not like her to wake at that time, and she never ususally wakes up upset!

Pinny - I need to go and do the 1000 steps. Might wait till my sis has her bub and do it over spring. Leave the kidlets with the DH's at the park, and meet them after. My sis is mega fit, and is going to do it with the bub in a sling or a back carrier!

I have an email copy of the masterchef cookbook if anyone wants it.

J's birthday is grand final day. I wasn't going to have a party for him anyway. We are having people over here for grand final. (organised it before I realised it was his birthday) So going to make a cake, and maybe just sing happy birthday at half time. THen he will look bafck at photos and think that he had a party anyway!!!

ETA Nai - I really hope their eyes start to get better sooon. Poor little bub. It is hard for them to understand why we are bothering them - All they think is that mum is trying to annoy me I am sure

Thanks Jols, I just feel like I will be too selfish and dont want to do all about me posts even though I know you girls dont mind. I am only going to feed DD once a night so might be a bit of a walking zombie for a couple of weeks with the predicted amounts of settling I will have to do.
