Pinny- Thank you for your advice re the going back to work/feeding thing. That gives me lots of hope. I started a thread on it and have gotten some good advice as well. I shaved my legs the other day too. Such a luxury! :)
Shell- that is so sweetabout your girls. I can see why that would make you so happy to see your babies loving each other so much. When I see Nai's profile pic I think the same thing. It is very sweet. I never really appreciated my sisters growing up but now that we are grown up, our bond is so strong. My mum also tells me stories about when I was a baby how my older sis would look after me like her own child, even used to talk for me (I was a very late talker because of this)!
Kaz & Heaven- How are things with you girls? Havent seen you girls in here for awhile :hug:

Had a busy day today. Met up with Jenjorja for coffee this morning and then went to a lunch for DP's winter cricket team. Got to leave a bit early as DD was a bit grizzly. Trying to feed her lots today but she isnt very interested :dunno: Last night was okay. Still woke at 11, 1:30, 3,30, 6:30 and then went back to sleep until 9:30!! So she kind of missed her morning sleep as normally she has that at 9am until 10:30am. Have so much housework to do but cant be bothered. I did some washing this morning. At least thats something. :)

AJP - ohh those kruger's look lovely.. we are stuck with my ford falcon that is starting to sound like an old taxi (you know makes loads of squeeky noises). I love my car!

Ali - glad to hear that you got to meet up with someone for coffee. Winter cricket? Wow that's pretty hard core!

AFM- went for another walk down the main street and bought some Aldi nappies to try out. I put mittens on Alex and he had them off in half a block and was stuffing them in his mouth (good thing they were big mittens).. put them back on and 1/4 block later they were off and the fist was in his mouth, so they stayed off all together! And that was my highlight for the day - tragic case! Fell in love with a part of the town I hadn't walked through - has the old 1940's bungalows in it and they remind me of home (Adelaide).. sigh.. just have to win lotto to buy one.

Hi girls, just a quick one - feels like I've been gone for AGES!!! Have had two lots of houseguests and been out and about every day since last weekend. :o Having a stay-at-home tracky-dak day today before another big day tomorrow. We're actually leaving town tomorrow :leap: which will be awesome.

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. Had a shocker last night. Ever since the vax she has been bad.
Anyway I am sick of whinging about it on this thread as I am sure that you are all sick of hearing about it, so I am going to start a new thread for people to come join me for a whinge about babies not sleeping through!

We have our vacs booked for tomor morn so not looking forward after all the bad nights afterwards that have been occuring in here. Might be panadol given tomor bedtime.

Watching master chef so will do personals tomor!

Meg- I look out for the thread!! I'll be joinging!!! Please don't worry about the whinging, that's what we are here for!! And to be honest it makes me feel so much better to know I am not the only one with a baby still waking in the night!!!

Shell- I have just finished watching it too!!! I loved it, but glad to have my nights back!!! Good Luck with the Vacs!!!

whoot finally get to type on here- boof is zzzz next to me on the couch- but at least he is asleep- been going to sleep between 12am and 2am each nite!!! so getting nothing done till then- i am stuffed- even by my standards lol- he happy enough when he is awake- just not ready to go to sleep till late- wonder where he gets that from????

other than that- everything going well- boof is growing heaps- he is too big for his capsule now and i was going to put him in the carseat rearfacing as well, but I tried him in it at home and his feet are allready longer than the car seat- so it looks like it will have to be forward facing for mr boof. He is just about sitting up on his own unassisted anyway , and i reckon he is over 10kg in weight- so i reckon we will just put him forward facing- what do you guys think?

boof was fine after his 4month vacc - gotta do his 6 month vacs in two week- great! so hopefully he is fine with them as well.
My migranes are still driving me crazy as well- damm hormones- surely to god them would have settled by now!!!! As soon as he increases or decreases his feed, even for one day- its enough to upset my hormones and a couple of days later i get a migrane.

life has been really hetic lately- between playing parent to my parents, supporting them emotionally and general busy life/paperwork/work- i feel like i am being pulled in so many different directions. Life is just at such a fast pace at the moment, i feel like i am on a rollercoaster. Even my poor nan from Cairns had to have an operation on herback on tuesday so that has been worrying me, and on the same day my mum had to have her shoulder frozen fixed as well- so the two most inflential women in my life were both getting done on the same day- how much positive energy can i send out to the universe at once???My poor little man just gets taken around from pillar to post and never complains or misbehaves- he is such a little champ- just goes with everything thank goodness and sleeps anyway and everywhere! LOL he slept at the rollerskaing rink the other day for an hour- music blaring and lights flashing lol.
Gotta go into work on thurs as well and make sure everything is on track just to add more to my plate- pile it up! pile it up!!!

ok enough whinging for me! Havent got time to feel sorry for myself- too much to do lol

AFM - Spent most of today out and about. Al was a trooper, cracked it at BILs house and had slept through lunch, but took me 5hrs to settle him to the point where he would go into his cot tonight. He clung onto the boob while I climbed into bed next to him (I missed my afternoon nap - LOL). Was watching the Evil dead movies.. gosh I love Bruce Campbell!!

Ohh and I'm back on facebook - reluctantly - I'm such an old fart!

Megie- :hug: Dont feel like you are whinging. I do it all the time and if I couldnt vent in here I probably would be one very stresed out mumma but I will look out for your other thread. I will probably be a frequent poster there as DD just hasnt got the night thing worked out.
Det- Massive :comfort: for you and :hug: Sounds like a bit of a tough time you are going through. Hope your loved ones will be okay. Your little man sounds like such a lovely little soul. I love the way you talk about him as well. You can see there is alot of love. :)
Shell- How good was masterchef! Couldnt believe our power went out in our street at 7am and then I missed the first hour of the show! So glad Julie won though. We had massive probs after vax but panadol didnt work the first night so I didnt bother with it again. Just lots of milk.
Kaz- Hope you had a good day today and have fun getting out of town. Hopefully to somewhere warmer? Although there arent many warm places at the moment are there!
Pinny- I forgot to tell you that I love your Avvy! Look gorgeous! :)
Tarkine- Have you tried out your aldi nappies yet? I am interested to see what you think of them. That is funny about Al eating his mittens. Everything seems to be in their mouths now hey. How did you go getting your hair done?

Have a question for you girls....Do any of your little ones play with their feet yet?? DD doesnt and I was wondering if I should encourage her to find them or whether she will just do it on her own? :dunno:

Ali - hairdresser next thursday - Alex wasn't interested in his feet, until I started flicking him in the face with his feet during a nappy change, now every nappy change he kicks his feet up.
The aldi nappies seem a bit bulkier at the front, but didn't seem too bad - but then Alex doesn't wee thru his nappies - its the number 2's that he has issues with.. I'm using the Aldi ones to space out the huggies at the mo..

meg i too wouldnt worry about whinging! were all int he same boat!!! and were all here for each other!! sounds like a few like to squeal themselves to sleep, i know millie does after her middle of the night feed!!

tarkine we use aldi at night, but i find i have to use a nappy cover over the top cos if she poos it explodes out the side (like this morning, the only time i forgot to put it on :doh: )

shell millie was fine after needles, just poo'd in the night because of the roto virus.

det i cant beleive levi goes down so late :o i feel for you :hug: i'll find the thread with the you tube video on forward facing, its safer to break legs than breaking necks in an accident, i turned sophie at 13 months and she was fine with her legs bent! millie is too big for the capsule too :cry: , im getting the convertable installed for her tomorrow and a maxi rider for sophie

AFM were all good, ive been having 'moments' the past few nights when millie feeds as she's been falling asleep on the boob, something she doesnt do! last night i picked her up and justt cuddled her, was so sweet, i could have stayed up all night and just looked at her, i then kissed her cheek and she smiled and giggles, eyes still closed, twas lovely!!!
i got the highchair out yesterday and millie sat in it while we had brekky, cant beleive i'll be starting solids next month :o
i also bought millie a baby toothbrush last week, its a wisdom brand one and has a teething part on one end, she loves chewing on it in the bath, lovves when i brush her gums too!!

Ali - Miss J just noticed her feet a week or so ago and she just started playing with them. Ash should start in a couple of weeks I would say. You can encourage her to hold them but she will do it in her own time.

Hi to everyone else! Sorry can't for the life of me remember what else has been posted.

AFM, L is doing better at his day sleeps. Yesterday he slept for 2h45min in one go! I couldn't believe it. He then went on to have 2 more naps but of course, only 30-45min naps. Last night he even slept a couple of hours in his own bed :D Today his sleeps haven't been that great but here's hoping for a good night :pray:

He's becomming really fussy during feeds, arching his back and swinging back his head, thrashing about and whinging. No idea what that is about :dunno:

Today I met up with my mums group today for coffee. All the bubba's looked SO bored! LOL. Took L in the HAB, which we haven't used for a while but he was fine and even managed a little nap in it.

Going to get him weighed and measured on Thursday at the health centre drop in session coz he's 5 months this week. Curious to see where he's at!

Anyway, that's it for now. I'll try and post a bit more often! Have started back at uni part time this week so going to be even harder to get on here.

AJP- Oh that brought smile to my face. I love this age cause they look at us with such love and adoration, we're there whole world.

Ali- I was so happy she won, got all teary and then when they brought out her boys I was even more so! I actually just noticed Emily playing with her feet today. She seemed quite facinated with them.

Det- god, so much going on for you at the moment. I hope you get some timeout for yourself, do you think lack sleep and having so much on could also contribute to migraines?

Emily so far been ok post vacs, only a little cry, gave her some panadol at bedtime just in case and she has settled ok, so we'll see.
Had another baby over today, 6 mth old and they were so cute together, feeling each others heads, holding hands, even fighting over toy, lol.

Af is gonna be back soon for me, I know my cycles have started up again cause started getting the usual discharge (Tmi) now I don't want anymore kids Af is just gonna be a pain!

shell ive been getting discharge too and was getting worried about af :think: i even had some EWCM :o i really hope it wasnt.

Shell & Jols- I had the EWCM before I got mine back. Havent DTD since as I am too scared to fall pregnant again so soon LOL! I had a really short period though- only 4 days and someone told me that they are longer after a baby but mine got shorter. :dunno:
Rainy & Jols- I checked out those shoes and they are soooooo adorable but EXPENSIVE!!! I cant afford it.

ali we dtd last night and DH was worried about me getting pregnant! told him to either out on a raincoat or get the snip!

Raincoats here, not that we dtd anyways, lol.

I've done excercise 4 days straight now, very proud of myself. Next step is better eating. That gonna be hard cause I've spent my life eating what I want when I want, now its caught up to me.

Jols- PMSL! I will tell DP that although we are like Shell at the moment. Just not even interested.

Shell- thats great about your exercise. I have beent he same. I am actually using the treadmill now its fixed and not just looking at it. I have made a chart for the fridge to log my exercise each day. I am still eating what I like but have lost 3Kg in the last 3 weeks. Still have heaps to lose but know with better eating it will come off faster. I am back to doing abdominal exercises and my abs are shot to pieces. Just trying to do them each day. The first day I did them I could only do 20!

I've just been trying to look uo lower abs workouts cause my sit-ups just aren't targeting my gut. I have certain spots that need workout, I want to look like Jessica Simpson in the boots made for walking film clip! Might be bit delusional there, lol.

you girls crack me up- i cant even and will never even fit into Jessica Simpsons boots, let alone ever try to look like her- lol PMSL! My calfs are too big!! LOL

Had EWCM here a couple of times as well, but touch wood no AF yet- we arnt worrying about anything here- figure 1 hit in 10 years-it would be another miracle if it happened again!

exercise= phumpf- although been going to pilates once a week- a mat class that i can take boof to- its ACE! Targets your pelvic floor and bits made even flabbier by childbirth- its a mum's and bubs class!!! Its great and i am soo sore for days afterwards-so i know it is working where it should lol. I hate exercising to sweating and puffing so pilates is perfect for me.

i so cant be bothered with anything at the moment- seriously i just want to curl up in bed and stay there for days- no chance of that!
I actually find that if i do get more than say 6 hours sleep- that my migranes are worse- the less sleep i have the better my migranes are- wierd hey!
that is why i tend to get a migrane on the weekends as i have the chance to sleep past 7am. ah well

gotta do paperwork now- grrr

Yep I'm still here, have thought about you all often but just no time to post. We are all good though! Heidi is just a delight, weighed in at 7kgs about a week ago. She has started wanting a feed in the middle of the night again but it's not worrying me too much - I seem to remember Noah doing the same thing around this age before starting solids at 6 months. We opened another business a couple of weeks ago so the poor wee sausage has been dragged into work most days, she's pretty happy though and doesn't seem to mind, just smiles and generally has a sleep in her pram.

Noah started kindy and is loving it, they really do grow up so fast it's insane. Well I'm off to catch up on some posts. Love to you all.

LOL at the raincoats girls :lol: We are still the same although DP goes for his follow up visit Monday and if there are no swimmers then we are free to dtd (although interest level on this side is still very low!)

Ali - well done on the weightloss! I've lost 5kg in the last 5 weeks so only 10kg to go :redface:

AFM - Miss J is sleeping terribly at the moment :( It took 2 hours of crying and cuddling and rocking to get her to sleep last night. I am desperately trying to break her feed to sleep association but she is resisting with an iron will. Then she woke at 4am and did a poo so I had to change her nappy so of course she wouldn't go back to sleep. Grrr!

nai i had an average sleep last night, that and millie woke twice for a feed, i ve been awake since 4.30am!

Rain - I live in Mt Evelyn, so just round the corner..yes would love to catch up at the montrose park with AJP, I love that park. In summer we often go there to eat our fish n chips!!

Nai- Sorry if I've missed it but assuming from ypur lats post DH has had the snip??? What did he have to say about it?? One day My DH will have the snip but not for a while coz I'm not totally convinced that we won't have anymore.

Det- I do a mums and bubs pilates class but we have cardio work at the start of ours..it's great isn't it...I can't believe how much sleep you don't need...have you always been like that? I don't think I could function with the sleep you get.

Shell- Good luck with the abs work out...LOL about being like jessica simpson!!

AJP- DTD what's that!!! Think I may have forgotten how to do it....well that's my excuse anyhow...No EWCM here... actually not a lot of anything down there. sorry TMI
