I absolutely LOVE your idea for a new user name lolly. Was thinking of changing mine too but couldn't come up with anything I liked! A little bit scary that you even thought you were being stalked - goodness me... Oh and the tattoo sounds lovely :)

And the christmas rumour is just rude!! We pretty much had presents sorted (ie didn't think we were doing any for grown ups either which considering we're on one wage is GREAT) until mum called during the week with a list of present ideas for every single one of the adults. Far out! So I completely hear you on the family fun stuff. But on the other hand we have a very extremely hugely excited 3.5 year old so that will counteract any bahumbug-ness that tries to surface :) I think I'm meant to bake some stuff too for xmas day (which I normally love doing) but a wildberry baked cheesecake from the cheesecake shop is looking good right now!

Chasing Lila around with a jar to collect a urine sample was one option the dr discussed (seriously!) but we decided to go with these special stick on wee collection bags instead. Not too bad, but still a big process cause I had to give her a bath first each time, then stick the bags on, then get the bag off again (ouchies! They use such strong adhesive, poor little poppet), then put the sample into a little jar then zoom off to the pathologists to drop it off!

Glad you love the pt work, it is nice to realise that your bub is ok when left with someone else for a little while. And exactly right, the $ certainly would help. Looks like I'll be going back 3 days/week in Feb or March which I am ok with. Could be a SAHM for a long while yet, but am happy with that compromise, and am very lucky to be able to do the type of work I do pt :)

Better dash - Am heading off to my work Christmas lunch today. Looking forward to putting a pretty dress on and actually doing my hair and make-up.... Lots to get ready before I can escape the zoo (lol!)

Despite the fact that I'd prefer to crawl under a rock and hide right at this time of the year, I did want to come in and wish you and your beautiful families a happy christmas. I hope the next few days are filled with laughter and smiles for all the right reasons.

We're keeping it pretty low key - doing the family lunches & dinners to keep up appearances (which I hate) but just focussing on the important stuff for ourselves and Will. I'll be happy when the world returns to normal LOL!

We are having lunch at our house with the IL's and my parents and then late afternoon heading off to an uncles for a BIG family gathering/dinner. Am glad that we get to spend most of the day at home.

Got a fantastic santa photoof Natalya, she had the biggest grin on her face...just gorgeous. We started solids officially a week or so ago and she has embraced them with gusto, keeps crying for more when finished!:lol: She is still as happy as ever and loves interacting with her siblings.

Well, it's getting late and I'm tired, just wanted to say hi and Happy New Year to you all. And oh, Lily has 2 teeth and stood up unassisted this arvo for the count of SEVEN mississipies!! Normally it's 3 or 4. :o Her solids are going ok. She's not really having meals, just having tastes throughout the day, which I am more than happy with. I want her to stay on the breast as long as possible. :pray:

zzzzzzzzzzzzzz we are having some bedtime issues here, poor Will is getting his bottom two teeth - not fun. Normally I've got the energy to roll with it and get up with him, but tonight I just want to crawl up on the lounge & veg. Adam (DP) is out too. Anway, must troop on! Separation anxiety has definitely kicked in too. He screams if we leave him in his cot to go to sleep now (before he would self settle really well). So tonight I just put him on a mattress with me in the lounge room until he got drowsy enough to fall asleep. I've just ever so gingerly transferred him to his cot. Fingers crossed he stays there :crossfingers:

Joey - your little Lily Pie is doing SO much stuff ahead of time - she sounds really advanced. Standing up on things WOW! You've got a little action woman on your hands! She is so cute BTW in your photos on FB.

Hmmm updates....well at bang on 6 months Will decided it was time to start sitting up which he loves. Haven't really had much more action on the moving front, he still doesn't really like being on his tum very much so it will be interesting to see how he starts to crawl.

As I said, he has cut the gums for his bottom teeth and we can feel them, but they haven't popped up yet. So sharp! And they are definitely causing some grief poor little tacker. As for food, well simply, he couldn't really care less. We're doing BLS and he just hasn't cottoned on yet. He loves playing with it all, it will go in his mouth but he just spits it all out again! Even the stuff I have mushed up and given to him on a spoon he just spits out. So we'll keep persevering and eventually his little body will determine when he's ready.

He's a very active & vocal little guy, this really is such a cute age. We survived xmas (just) and I'm glad life has pretty much gone back to normal.

And it looks like I'll be teaching a pregnancy pilates class plus some other general classes soon which is fab news....something I was really hoping to do.

Still pining to conceive #2 - we'll see how far I get with Adam tonight.....I think we've missed our window of opportunity this month! Maybe I should go and join one of the TTC threads again :redface:

We ended up having a lovely albeit busy festive season. The kids are still attempting to get over all the social occasions and late nights! The eldest 2 having swimming lessons every morning atm so we are at the pools each day which is nice as it exhausts them by bedtime!:lol:

As for Miss Natalya...she is sitting up confidently and rolls all over the place. No standing up like Lily tho!:clap: She also got her first tooth yesterday, hooray, as she was a bit grizzly for a couple of days there. Am thinking about gettting her an amber teething necklace - I never bothered with the other 2 but now that I am older and wiser am debating it. Should really get my act together and just order one.

She also is constantly calling out "mama" and it is very obvious that it is directed at me, it is a lovely sound to hear.:D

Infinity, keep perservering with the solids - he will get the hang of it eventually. And great to hear about teaching the pregnancy pilates classes.

We are still having around 3-4 naps a day - she is only up for around 1.5hrs before she starts to get tired and will then sleep for anywhere between 45-90mins. Whats everyone elses naps like? We also only just moved her from the cradle in our room to the cot in her room just before xmas, I was very very sad and emotional at that. In fact the cradle is still set up in our room "just in case".:redface:

Ang - Will has been saying dadada for quite a while now. He's slowly getting a few more sounds out, lots of bub bub and I think I might have heard a mama but we don't get them very often yet!

As for day sleeps, Will sort of transitioned to two longer sleeps on his own really. He used to have 4 shorter naps. He'll normally wake up for the day around 7am, then go back down from around 10:30am-noon. Then crash our again about 2/3pm-ish and I get him up if he looks like he's going to sleep past 4:30pm. He usually looks for bed at around 7-8pm at night, but that is getting stretched out with all the teeth & separation anxiety business going on ATM.

I've been thinking about an amber necklace but there are just so many different ones out there....hard to know what to get.

We have some VERY HOT weather here in Adelaide at the moment. I usually head down the beach early with Will for a dip, gets the day started really nicely and means we aren't cooped up all day. He loves the ocean.

Being so long since I was here, you probably have all forgotten who I am! LOL...

Miss C is doing fantastically :D Sitting up, saying "Bub bub" to everything & a few different noises are starting to sound out of her mouth, so I'm guessing real soon we will have a 2nd word to add to her vocabulary :) No teeth..
She loves solids (yoghurt has become her favourite) and anything with banana in it, loves 4, sometimes 5 bottles a day. Loves interacting with her big sister & big brother. Crawling has started, she went the length of 3 of our big tiles yesterday, that is quite a distance for a 7.5mth old!
She loves standing solidly for quite a amount of time once on her feet & can stand solo against the couch too. I don't do it often, as I don't want to encourage her just yet :)
Sleeps through the day are anywhere between 40mins - 3hrs, but never longer then that & is more routinely 1hr sleeps, 3 sometimes 4 times a day. She is sleeping 8pm - 7am most days, in her cot. On the odd occasion she naps on the mattress in the loungeroom or the pram.

Thought it had been a while since I'd posted, didn't realise it was more like 6 weeks! Talk about awol...

We're all very very good but just seem to get busier and busier all the time. We had a wonderful relaxing Christmas and both kids got spoilt rotten. New Years was very low key but lovely too.

Simply CANNOT believe that next week Lila will be 8 months old :o Still going great guns with solids - 3 meals a day of fruit/veg/meat (mushed) as well as at least one BLS-type meal a day - current faves are broccoli or mango. The combo seems to really suit her.... Having 2 or 3 BFs a day as well as 2 bottles of formula she should be the size of a house but isn't! Lucky thing will probably end up with her father's metabolism!

Have had to address some sleep issues this week - after she combined teething (2 bottom teeth now!) with a virus about 6 weeks ago we fell into the trap of BF to sleep and during the night.... Haggard Jen at the start of this week said enough! After two days she is able to self-settle once again, and has given us 2 x 7.30am sleep-ins - aaaaaaahhh! And she wakes up happy and babbling once again instead of being a cranky scream-head. And like Will she has sort of moved herself into having 2 big naps each day rather than a few littler ones.

She has been sitting up very confidently since just after christmas and has been working on getting mobile. Gets herself onto all fours very easily, rocks back and forwards, does some full body sit-up things holding herself up on her arms and tippy toes plank-style ...... and then goes backwards! She can get across the room that way and loves going (backwards) behind the couch and under the computer desk but badly badly wants to go forwards. Am in no rush for her to do this - it's just lovely watching her figure out how it all goes together!! We're getting lots of dadadadada gagagaga nanananana and when very cranky she'll let out a few mumumumumumum (much to DH's amusement)....

Lila starts daycare in 3 weeks, and I'm back at work in 4 weeks. I have negotiated with work to cut my days down from 4 to 3 which is wonderful. The kids will do 2 days in daycare and will have my mum one day a week so I think it will actually be a really lovely combination of care. Not overjoyed to be going back but will be very good to have a little bit of an income again!

Little miss is awake now so had better go - sorry for no persies but I've loved reading up on where everyone's bubs are at! Big hugs for all of you and your beautiful babies

Jeepers, it has been a while since we've all been in here Jen! We must all be busy enjoying our little ones I guess.

Don't have a lot of time at the moment as I have to head out shortly, but............

if you can keep a secret, I got a :bfp: on Saturday morning EEEEEEEEEEK!!!

Needless to say we're a tad shocked, but at the same time we knew we were wide open in the contraception department so it was always a possibility. And to tell you the truth I'm so excited. I always wanted to have our kiddies close together. And this will be very close by the looks of things :redface: Its probably going to throw a spanner in the works on a few levels, but nothing we can't overcome.

I'm off to the GP this afternoon to get a blood test taken to confirm and see how far along things look. Once I get those results back I think I'll post a proper pregnancy announcment here on BB. But PLEASE don't reveal anything on Facebook....we're keeping this quiet probably until around 12 weeks we think.

Had my blood taken this arvo so will wait & see what they put me at. I'm pretty sure I know my dates (well at least the start of my last period) so they should be fairly accurate. I doubt I'm actually going to reveal an exact EDD - I'll be aiming for a VBAC so really don't want a lot of pressure or expectation IYKWIM? We'll see. Its a hard thing to keep to yourself.

Will let you know when I get my results back, should be late Wed or early Thurs.

Completely understand about the exact EDD being revealed - I have my own kind of grrrr issues with my ob inducing me at what she was certain was 38 weeks for Gest diabetes with Lila, but I am pretty certain that I was closer to 37 weeks. DH/Family were all pretty cautious (out of love) so had a fair bit of pressure from them too.... Even endocrinologist (diabetes dr)was happy to let me go longer. Not that it matters now but yep, I do understand :)

Am guessing you're expecting a spring bub? That'll do for me. As Lila is my last I get uber excited about other ppl's bfp's now!!!

And, more importantly, how are you feeling? Any queasies/sore bb's yet?

Oh Jen, sorry to hear that about Lila's induction. Its so frustrating when they put so much pressure on isn't it. And we're just torn about what is best for our babies.

Yes, spring baby for sure, and I've gotta say I'm really happy about that. Will was born into the depths of winter and we struggled so much with the cold. Being up so much at night with all our feeding problems compounded by the cold weather really took its toll on me. I hate the cold with a passion, and it also contributed to the breastfeeding problems we had too (nipple vasospasm was just one of my issues). So to have a bub in warmer weather will be a real relief I know that much. I will probably let people know a month, just not a specific date.

And I doubt I'll join another belly buddies group, I think I'll just stay in here and share with all you lovely ladies if you don't mind!

As for how I'm feeling, well not much to report as yet. I have had pangs of nausea at really odd times. It tends to hit me in the evening and at bed time which is a bit weird. When I was pg with Will it used to hit me middle of the morning. The BBs have been a bit sore definitely. Before I tested I sort of *knew* i was UTD - I was just a tad scared to actually find out LOL.

I have a beautiful bruise where the nurse took my bloods yesterday (I look like a junkie!!!!!!!!!!!) so should have results in the next few days. Now I just have to get my head around my care choices. Its come to the point where I don't actually have much choice at all, given Will was a c-section. I'll be very limited unfortunately which really eats at me - I'm passionate about birth choices - so we'll see how that journey goes. Getting a VBAC is going to be a hard road, but I'm absolutely determined.

Just a very quick post from me - Congratulations Infinity!!!:dance::dance: Its always exciting when someone you know is up the duff!! Wishing you a happy and healthy nine months.

Natalya is starting to really growl at us when we dont feed her so am off to do that right now and will hopefully be in later for a more lengthier post. Altho with Survivor, Greys Anatonmy, Biggest Loser and the dance show on tv tonite I think I may be glued to me chair. A bit sad really!!:redface:

Wasnt quite uninterrupted but I did manage to watch the shows in the past couple of days after taping half of them - had a good cry at Grey's!

Cant believe that N is nearly 8 months, am quite sad about it to tell you the truth. We are still undecided as to whether we would have another so I am really feeling quite emotional at each milestone that she achieves, keep thinking that this could be the last time.:cry:

School started this week and now that DD1 is now in Yr 1 we have to start a bit earlier and I am really struggling trying to get everyone organised and out the door. It doesnt help that N is really tired within an hour of waking and wants to go for a nap and when some mornings - like today, where her nap didnt work timewise, she was horrid!! And it makes everything else take twice as long as I am having to attend to a whinging crying overtired bub.:wall:

How many naps is every bub having? N usually has one around 7-8am, then another around 9.30-10.30 then again at 1 and again around 4-5. She is in bed most nights by 7.30. She then rewakes at 10.30 for a quick feed and then depending on the night will then sleep through till 3.30 or like some nights lately wake every hour inbewtween. Am really feeling the side effects of sleep deprivation atm.

Jenushka, how did you get Lila back into her sleep routine at night? N also does that pushing herself backwards thing and we have found her stuck a couple of times inbetween the 2 couches!!:D

Anyway gotta go take DS to swimming lessons and then I think we will all comehome and have a nap today!

Hey Ang - great to hear from you. I struggle to get 2 kids out of the house by 9am to take ds to daycare twice a week - I can appreciate it must be a big big task getting 3 out of the house earlier than that 5 days a week!

Sorry to hear you are suffering with sleep-deprivation.... We used a controlled crying method to address Lila's sleep issues - I know that BB is not really pro-cc but it has worked really well for us, I think because Lila was a great sleeper before her sleeps got all mucked up? TBH, was very very hard to listen to the crying to start for the first couple of sleeps but she got used to it so quickly .... Anyhow, we started by going in for a few minutes to reassure at 5 min, 10 min etc intervals and within a few sleeps she was asleep right after putting her in her cot the first time, no extra visits required. We're getting nice loooong sleeps overnight too and no crying at all when we put her down, so now happy baby who has re-learnt to put herself to sleep, happy mummy and happy family :)

She is having 2 naps a day - 9.30/10am for between 1-2hrs and then again 1.30/2pm for 45-90 min...

I took Lila to the CHN yesterday for a weigh and measure - I was worried because she hadn't seemed to gain any weight in the last few weeks despite eating ALL the time. She is still a complete featherweight at 7.5kg (25th centile) but is a very long bub at 73cm (95th centile). Nurse said that all of her growing energy has been going towards her length, and that she has grown almost 10cm since her 6 month check-up :o DH said they sound like supermodel proportions and is now fretting even more about his daughter growing up(lol!) Nurse also v happy with all of her developmental milestoney things, and said a hungry baby would not be sleeping so well, so I have been officially told to chill out :)

Touch wood but the last few nights seem to be a lot better sleepwise...she seems to be resettling herself and then only really waking around 3.30-4.30 for a feed which I can handle atm. It doesnt help that atm DH is working away during the week and only back at weekends.

What is everyone else feeding bubs? Am starting to get a bit stuck for meal ideas - need some inspiration! It seems like ages ago since I was cooking baby food.:lol:

Hi girls, how are we all?

Ang - I gotta hand it to you, I have so much respect for you mummas with 2 or 3 kiddies AND partners that work away. I would suck at that! But I guess you do what you have to do hey?

Will is 8 months old and commando crawling EVERYWHERE! He really gets some speed up its hilarious. Thankfully we've babyproofed most areas but he still gets into a lot of mischief. He occasionally gets up on his knees and rocks back & forth but hasn't really twigged that he can get around that way too! He loves to stand and for us to walk him around the house, so I think he might be an early walker....who knows really. I must go get him weighed again too. But he's a happy chappy and a fab sleeper so I'm not concerned. As for solids, we're still happily taking the BLS approach - he's not actually getting much in but he's getting really good at picking up stuff, moving it around his mouth and then poking most of it out again. He loves meat, usually has some veg & fruit plus some yoghurt too which I sorta help him eat off a spoon.

All my blood tests came back fine, so pregnancy absolutely confirmed. We're excited now, but still keeping it under wraps. Just starting to think ahead about where I want to birth and what sort of care will help me get my best chance to achieve a VBAC. The standard symptoms have kicked in - suffice to say I feel like I'm permanently hungover most of the time. I'm starving then I want to chuck. Getting pretty tired & flat too. Hard chasing after a little monster! I'm craving salty foods which is what I was like with Will.

We've had a few stressful weeks that has resulted in the decision for me to return to work from mat leave a few months early - and go back to work 4 days a week :cry: DP was meant to be in full time lecturing work at TAFE but they've strung him along for so long, its really not going to happen anytime soon. And we can't risk his health going back on building sites ATM, so I've made the call to go back to work and he is staying home with Will. Absolutely heartbreaking for me, its really not how I wanted things to be but crunch time is here and we need to pay our mortgage. Money sucks! But hopefully it will only be a short term sacrifice and I can stop again before the next bub is born.....and maybe never ever ever go back!

lol infinity !!! Here's my contribution to increasing that post count .....

Crap when circumstances force you back to work - I'm back for 3 days/week in just under 2 weeks too :( Not feeling quite as bereft as going back after DS but just always thought I would be a SAHM, and bubbas are just getting to be such little personalities at this age ... DH took a paycut in a completely different industry after 2 redundancies in 2008 so this is just how it is now. We've been living on the smell of an oily rag since my mat pay ran out in Dec - money does suck, but am looking forward to having some actual money to buy actual things with.

Hope the symptoms stay fairly manageable and yay for bt confirming the news!

This week has been mental with Lila - little munchkin has found her fast fwd button! She managed to get herself lying belly-down across a tub of toys today - legs wriggling and face mushed into one edge!!! Must have thought it would be quicker to go over it than around :) She's wanting to do the walking while holding hands thing too - I am hoping that it doesn't mean early walker but once they're mobile with crawling its pretty full on anyhow!

Ang - just started moving Lila to lumpier foods - adding cous cous to vegies, and today made up a sweet potato/pear and lentil mash with some pureed beef mince mixed through for her dinner. She is coping really well with the lumps and also loved the little bowl of un-pureed mince i offered - I've been giving her finger foods which she loves (steamed broccoli/carrot, toast with creamed cheese, avocado pieces, etc) for a while now in my own kind of casual semi-BLS/Combo feeding approach. So cute seeing her chew away smacking her little gums together:) She has grainy baby muesli mixed with fruit puree for brekky (might see if she likes weet-bix tomorrow), and she also loves yoghurt for dessert after her lunch and dinner. My ds was a very unadventurous eater and could handle NO lumps so am enjoying having a more adventurous eater this time around. I'll have to see how the variety goes once I'm back at work - may struggle with it a bit then ;)

And glad that Natalya's sleeps have been a bit better lately - fingers xd she keeps that up....

Anyone doing anything to celebrate Valentine's Day? I asked dh what amazing things he had planned and he just answered "pppfffffffffttt" so am not very hopeful ;)

My DH is very much a believer that Valentines Day is a Hallmark day and therefore I have Buckleys chance of getting anything!:lol: I might make him his fave dish for dinner tho - a creamy tomato and chicken fettucine, it is just delicious...with some garlic bread on the side...hmmm my mouth is watering already.

Natalya also has grainy muesli and fruit for brekky altho this morning I gave her the crusts off the kids muffins and she loved those...I think she thought she was all grown up like the others. We are also starting to move on to lumpier foods as well. I think I might try some cauli/broccoli pieces on her today and see how she goes feeding herself. She made a right royal mess the other day of some watermelon that I put on her highchair! Barely any got into her mouth.:lol:

Oh Thanks Infinity. DH is mainly Perth based but usually flys weekly to another country town for an overnite visit. I can handle that. but atm he is for the short term based away. Like you said - you do what you have to do. I am used to cause ever since I have known DH he is always flying to one job or another - its the industry he is in - he is a Civil and construction engineer by trade but is currently a Construction manager for a large building company so he supervises their jobs statewide.

Myself am in awe of you mums who go back to work whether through choice or otherwise. I think you guys do fantastic jobs managing a household and work.

Leah is crawling now but not sitting up by herself yet. She said Dada they day that DH left and he was so upset that he didn't get to hear it.

Ali - welcome back! And :hug: - how long is DH away this time around? Was just thinking about all the girls from our belly buddies thread and wondering how everyone else was going, and here you are!

Am off to get my hair cut and coloured tomorrow for the first time since Oct (omg I CANNOT wait), will be lovely to be nice and fresh for heading back to work. Need to buy a couple more work shirts/tops and get my eyebrows waxed next Wed and then I will be all set (or at least look all set!). Will just be lovely to sit in the chair at the hairdressers for a couple of hours and read magazines and drink coffee uninterrupted - almost worth paying the money just for that ;)

He'll be back end of April. Its the same thing I had to pull him off while we were pg. Much easier being able to do stuff without pain this time though.

Well after 8 mths AF finally decided to rear her uglyhead today...at least it now makes sense why my skin has been going haywire and why N was also fussing about with the breast this week. I have also had a shocking head/chest cold this week so am feeling really sorry for myself atm, something I dont normally do. Think I need to find some "me"time.

Jenushka - I LOVE the hairdressers for the same reason as you, quiet time to read the mags and have a cuppa and I always come away feeling refreshed and a bit better about myself. Hope that your appt went well.

Alioops - could to hear back from you and that you arent in as much pain as before! N is nearly crawling, she gets on all 4's and rocks back and forth and gets so upset she cant follow the other 2.

Infinity - how you feeling?

Aw Ang - :hug: - hope AF doesn't treat you too roughly and poor you with the head cold to boot. Hope you can somehow manage some rest over the weekend! And the hairdressers was lovely - great to get a freshen up :)

Infinity - hope you are also somehow managing to get some rest... when do you head back to work?

AFU - Lila had a great first couple of days at daycare - the difficulties could be yet to some I know but really couldn't have asked for a better start. And she knows pretty much all of the staff there from all of the drop offs etc while DS has been going. They even did painting with the babies on Wed! She was eating and sleeping very well while she was there which was great :)

She has also found the forward button for crawling and is building up quite a bit of speed, caught her with 2 hands about to go up the stairs yesterday :o She is really wanting to pull herself up to stand on things to. Also is now fully weaned and had her last bf on Monday morning :( We were down to only one BF a day for the last week or so (she had decided to drop the bedtime one on her own) which then appeared to quickly reduce my supply - after some BF's actually heard her little tummy rumble! So made the very difficult decision but she seems to be a lot happier and content and now drains the whole 230mL of formula each morning. I have a bit of frozen EBM to get through also which makes me feel better.

Back to work for me on Tues, and we're heading off for a couple of days at Mum's on the gold coast which will be lovely. Hope everyone has a great weekend

WOW, it seems like forever since I have been on here. Just haven't had the time and/or energy!

Lily is so big now. She is crawling like a speedster and standing on her own, but no walking yet. She still has only 2 bottom teeth (through around Christmas time) and is waking 2-3 times a night lately :doh:

Lily plays happily on her own for about 20 mins, but then comes to check that I am still around, and if I'm not ... the neighbours even know about it. I have stopped playing netball bacause last week I could hear her crying from the second quarter for the most of the game and it was horrible. She will have to get used to it though because she'll be going to day care in about a month, when I go back to work 2 days a week.

She says mama and dada and can clap and wave.

She is pretty much eating any thing and everything now, except sugary stuff and cows milk. I have made her piklets on breast milk and put apple puree in instead of sugar, and made her some quiches but with no milk. She has still about 6-7 BFeeds a day and then wheet bix most mornings, fruit for m/t a 1/4 sandwich or quiche for lunch and fruit for a/t and then what ever we are having for dinner. She eats mostly with her hands, except wheet bix and maybe dinner, depending on what it is. Her favourite food is MEAT, any meat!!

She was only haveing 2 x 30 min naps during the day, but over the last couple of days has gone back to one big nap of 90 or so mins, so that's been nice.

She loves her big sis and follows her everywhere!!

I am finally back to my pre-pregnancy weight, actually under!!! :clap: I have started doing triathlons!! Just small ones. I did my first complete one 2 weeks ago at Caloundra and I have my next one next weekend at Raby Bay. I think I am over compensating still for the fact that I didn't give birth naturally so I am trying to become superwoman in any other way that I can. I still feel $hitty when I hear of my friends giving birth naturally, so I am no where near over it! Oh well. I am just burying it for now and I'll deal with it later! :rolleyes:

Infinity - I hope Will got his teeth through ok. Lily was up every half hour for 2 nights. Geez, that was difficult. How is your pilaties going? I am so jealous about your BFP! Yay for you!!! I have not seen AF yet, so we're just waiting for her to arrive and then I hope to join you!!! When did AF return for you? Were/are you BFeeding? Sorry, I lose track of everyone!! :redface: So glad that you're going to stay here and share with us!!! Can I please suggest that you get a doula for your VBAC, preferably one with midwife training. I didn't and I think this is why I failed. I so wish I did. I will definately be getting one next time and I don't care what the cost will be. Good on you for going for a VBAC. One other thing stay upright as much as possible during labour. This is also where I went wrong. Mind you, I had 3 days worth of contractions, so I don't suppose I could stay upright all that time :wall:. LOL

Jen - Bet you feel like a new woman with your hair done! I am due, but can't really justify the money at the mo. How is child care going??


Ang - Isn't it gorgeous when they say mama!!

Sorry I cut the perssies short. Lily wants some attention and I like to give it to her when she wants it seeing she plays so well on her own a lot of the time. Balloons are her favourite at the moment.

Wow - a month between posts!! Must be a new record for us (lol!)

Just popping in to see how everyone is? I've just finished my 4th week back at work and am finding the 3 days/week to be a good balance. Ideally I'd be a 100% SAHM but if I have to be back at work this is a good way to do it. Having income is a big relief too!!

Lila is on her 2nd course of ab's for a middle ear infection - other than constantly being sick she has settled well into daycare. She is a super-fast crawler now and a little mountain goat - climbs anything and everything she can. 3rd tooth (top row) has come through and the 4th is about to come through any day now. Sleeps still going really well (Except for the worst of the ear infection) A couple of days ago she started clapping her hands, and now does it intentionally when we start clapping, or even if I just say 'clap, clap" - so CUTE.

Better go and start to get ready for ds' swimming lesson. Would love to hear everyone's updates if you get a moment :)

Must be something in the air Jenushka - Natalya also has an ear infection and bronchitis. We too are on antibiotics in the hope that it cures it.

N now has 5 teeth. We went through a pretty horror run for around 6-8 weeks with sleep and it was during that time that all the teeth came through. Touch wood tho that this week it has all started to settle down and she is now sleeping through again.:)

SHe has 2-3 naps a day. A big one at 9am straight from school drop-off of between 1-2 hrs. Then again around 1-1.30 for around an hour and if we are lucky we get a 40 min nap again at 5pm. She is crawling everywhere and thinks she is so clever when she discovers where her brother and sister are. So cute to see.:D

Around 3 weeks ago she suddenly self weaned and we had a horror time then as well. It was so difficult as it was her choice not mine and I didnt have the time to spend with her trying to get her back on. DH works away and it was near on impossible trying to do things like feed her in the bath or with no other distractions. So sadly for us our b/fing journey ended.

How is everyone else going?

Oh no Ang! Hope the ab's kick in and Natalya feels a lot better soon.... and I think Lila pretty much self-weaned too, she became incredibly difficult to bf, even somewhere quiet she would twist and turn and try and wriggle off! I reckon my supply was waaaay down anyhow so likely a bit of both. I gave her my last bit of frozen ebm last week and cried - such a sook. Although being honest I do enjoy the freedom and time aspects of ff (probably not cool to admit that here!), I was devastated that bf was over. Looking at Lila thrive on formula and solids does help though :) Guess in a rambling way Ang am trying to say I completely understand - :hug:

And does N take her ab's well - if so what is your trick??!! Lila is a wily little creature who detests medicine despite allegedly yummy flavours like tutti frutti and vanilla cherry... DS loves/loved all things medicine, so medicine-hating is a new experience for us...

Tooth number one is about to break through, and Leah is not happy about it. Good thing is though the Brauer teething relief is helping her poo :lol:

Leah is still BFing well, and growing nicely. Her legs over-hang the end of the capsule to mid calf now but she is still way to light to turn her, and I want her rear facing as long as possible. She still cant sit unsupported so we are looking into early intervention.

Sounds like everyone is going well. I must go and cook dinner.

Hi all, long time between posts in here for me. Just been so flat out.

I'm into my second week back at work (4 days a week) and while its been really really hard leaving Will, I'm ever so gradually slipping back into it naturally. Won't be spilling the beans at work about #2 for a few more weeks yet, but its nice knowing its a short term solution for us. And it will be soooo nice to get a decent pay in the bank. Seriously depleted is all I will say LOL!

DP has been doing a fabulous job at home with Will, he is just going so well. Packs me lunch, has dinner ready, baked me muffins one day :o it really has taken the sting out of returning to work, knowing that Will is in his home environment with his Daddy.

Will still only has his bottom two teeth. He is crawling, (or should I say running on all fours!) everywhere. He is a little speedy gonzalez! Loves exploring the house. And a real chatterbox too. He makes the cutest gestures with his hands, picks up random objects and puts them to his ear like he's talking on the phone LOL obviously copying us. A real happy little chappy. Still not eating a lot of solids, but enjoying them all the same.

Ang & Jen, sorry to hear that the girls have needed ABs. Not fun to get into them is it? We have enough trouble with getting panadol down. Most of it ends up getting spat out. I hope they're on the mend soon. And you should both be proud of how long you b/f your girls for. It is sad when the end finally comes though.

As for me, I'm feeling surprisingly good. Tired, but thats probably more related to going back to work I guess. The morning sickness only stuck around for 3 or 4 weeks really intensly, then dropped of really quickly. We've had one scan so far, all was good which is reassuring. I have an appt at the hossy in the morning and I'm just trying to do a lot of reading and investigating to give me the best chance of achieving a VBAC.

We started letting family know this week, so its not long before we're completely out in the open! eeeep! In a lot of ways I wish I could keep it a secret. Pity that your belly has to poke out so much LOL! I just hate the really intrusive questions you get from people who hardly know you.

Jenushka - glad to hear that the work balance is going well for you. that'll be me in a week and a half :( Lily is clapping too. It's sooo cute, isn't it. Hope her ear infection clears up soon.

Ang - Wow 5 teeth!! N is having great naps. Lily's total sleep during the day ranges for 1 - 2 hours. Sorry to hear that she weaned herself. I just guess she was ready :(

Jenushka - I totally understand that you cried when you gave her the last bit of EBM. I bawled like a baby when Lily started solids cause I thought she was going to want that more than BMilk!

Alioops - That's cool that you are leaving her rearward facing - it's probably a very good idea and if Lily didn't hate it so much, i prob wouldn't have turned her around at 6 months. Hope that toothy-peg comes through quick.

Infinity - I am so jealous that you are UTD!! You lucky duck! It's so fantastic that Daddy is at home with Will. Lily is a bit of a speedy on all 4's too, but only when she's going somewhere she knows she shouldn't, like her sister's room when she forgets to close the door! Good luck with your VBAC. I'll be living through you. I really hope you can achieve it!!! How many weeks are you now?



As for us:

I go back to work when school returns, but only 2 days a week, so i should cope fine with that. Lily is going to be in child care about 300m down the road from school, so once i get my stuff sorted, I'll be dropping her off at about 8.30and picking her up about 3.30. She starts next week for 2 short days just so i am not a nervous and miserable wreck on my first day back at school!

Sleeps - Lily has 2 sleeps a day (although only one so far and it's nearly 3 pm) and is sleeping through most nights. She goes down without a BF (four days running) around 6.45pm and then I give her a dream feed at 8.30pm when i go to bed, then she usually wakes around 5.30am when i feed her and tell her it's still night and put her back into her cot, where, after a short protest, she goes back to sleep for 1-2 hours. She then goes down for a 30min nap around 10am-ish and then sometimes a 90 min sometimes a 30 min nap around 2pm-ish.

Eating - she now eats anything in site (but i won't give her anything with sugar in it) and she has EBM with her meals, out of a sippy cup. This was so she would be able to make it through the day without a BF when she went to day care. So she usually gets a BF when she wakes at 5.30am, maybe another one around 7am when she wakes again and then not again until the afternoon. Then she had wheetbix or toast for B/F, fruit or yoghurt for M/T, a sandwich (cheese, or cheese spread or some of my toasted) for lunch, some fruit or really anything i can find for A/T and then what ever we have for dinner. She is really good at her eating and feeds herself (unless it required a spoon, I do that as she hasn't figured it out yet, she just 'paints' with it!!)

Moving - she is crawing really well and can stand for what seems like forever. She is taking steps and her record is 11 steps, yeterday. They are very slow and stop-start, but she is well on her way.

We're waiting to get UTD so we can get that new government maternity leave. You have to work for 10 months to be eligible for it. I just figured out today that that means I can be UTD from anytime after next month! Woo Hoo. I have been expressing more EBM than I needed so I wouldn't get AF back, cause for some reason I had thought it was 13 months and worked that out to be august, which seemed like a life time away. But now I am wanting AF to come back asap, so I can start charting again. So I'll only be expressing what Lily needs now, which is about 4 feeds a day plus maybe 100mls. I hope AF will come back with that, cause I'm not prepared to wean Lily before she is ready just to get UTD.

What else ... I think that is it.

Eeeeeeekk!! Haven't been in here for ages and it's all different!!

What's happening with everyone? Think I'm in a bit of a state of denial that it is less than 4 weeks until my baby girl turns 1. Can someone tell me where the last year has gone???

All well here, aside form the seemingly constant barrage of daycare germs. I ended up with a ferral tummy bug from the kids last week - they bounced back almost the same day from it, but I was bedridden with aches, pains and high temps and needed 2 days off work!! All better now thankfully.

Lila loves walking holding onto her v-tech walker and chasing her brother up and down the hallway, and the other day DH got her to walk holding onto only one of his hands, but she hasn't been brave enough to do that again! Still having 2 big sleeps a day and has become very independent with her eating and loves trying new tastes and flavours. She is always babbling away but says definite dadada for DH and mamama for me (naaawwww!!) The other day while reading her a book about farm animals she copied me and started saying "duckduckquackquack" and she now says it whenever she sees the book!! It is so lovely seeing her little personality emerging more every day, she's such a little character :)

Sorry to hear you've been sick Jen. I spent my first mothers day cooped up with a nasty rotten cold which I can't take ANYTHING for being preggo. Soldier on though I suppose. I'm going to try & get to work tomorrow.

Will is growing so fast, he's a real little mover & groover. He'll stand up on his own and balance really well but needs to hold onto things to scoot around. We don't have a walker or anything like that, but lots of furniture he loves pulling himself up on. Still get lots of dadadadas, some mum mums (but mainly yumyums when he eats - too cute!). He talks to his little teddy bears all the time too. Sleep is still really good and his food is a bit hit & miss still but he's growing so i'm trying not to fuss too much. Got ongoing poo issues still which are hard to cope with but I'm hopeful once he drinks more cows milk it will improve.

As for me the pregnancy is going really well I'm popping out heaps. Think I might be a bit bigger this time than with Will. My boobs are huge LOL. Still haven't decided what to do about hospitals yet, we're actually considering birthing at home but we have some more time to decide as yet.

Gotta get an early night so I can fucntion tomorrow xx byebye

Oh no infinity, No good that you're sick. Panadol just does not cut it sometimes! Lila is yet to let go and just balance as will is doing which makes me think it could still be a while yet before she starts walking. For now she seems very content tottering along behind her walker thingy!

Sounds like you are very carefully considering your birth options - gl with whatever you decide. Good to hear everything is going well with the pgcy :)

Jenushka - I know. It's all different!! Luckily I managed to find my way around. Lily has been sick with colds from day care too. :( How cool that she is doing animal noises!! Well done! Bugger you've been sick :(

Infinity - I'm so glad your preg is going well. I'm still waiting for AF so we can start trying again!! Yay for considering the birthing at home option. My DH won't let me do that :(


Well Lily is walking now, so that is really exciting but it also means she's not a baby anymore :( She has 2 bottom teeth and 4 top ones. The bottom ones caused her some greif, but the top ones came through relatively easy. I am back at work 2 days a week and really enjoying it, although I am quite tired and I miss Lily heaps. She took a while to settle into day care, still is really, but getting much better. It's just 200m down the road, so we get there about 8 and I leave about 8.25am then I'm back there by 3.15pm so it's not too bad. I just work through my lunch and take stuff home, so I don't have to leave her longer than necessary. She is sleeping though from aout 7-6, or sometimes 5.30am, but i am still dream feeding her at about 8.30pm just to make sure she doesn't wake at night!! She has 1 or 2 sleeps a day, usually 2 x 30 mins, but sometimes 1 x 30 mins + 1 x 90 mins. She is eating sooooooooooo much. DH says all she ever does is eat!! And last night he told me to stop feeding her cause she would have had enough. I don't know about that. What do you think? She'll tell me when she's had enough BF so wouldn't she tell me about food too? She does at B'fast and lunch. She just really likes spag bol, so that's why she will eat so much. She is BFeeding about 4-5 times a day, hense no AF for me yet. I am in 2 minds as to whether I should start to cut her down a bit so AF comes back, but then when I think about it, I don't think I should cause BM is very good for her and we'll have another baby one day, so I shouldn't deprive her health, that's being selfish. Lily says mum, dad, baw (ball), boo(k), seeya, bye, hello. But not a lot, just sometimes. Except ball, that's many times a day. 3 weeks till she turns 1! :( Boo hoo.

OK, time is precious, so must go and do what ever else I can while she sleeps!! Take care xox
