Con - I am still expressing BM (not getting much - about enough for one feed per day) and then using formula for the rest.
Teresa - hope your routine is still going well - good on you!
Sorry I can't remember any of the other posts - I don't seem to get the previous posts underneath like I used to.
Any of you girls in Perth - do any of you use Karicare Gold or S26? I have open tins of both that only have a few feeds out of and I don't want to throw them out. You are welcome to them if anyone wants them.
Things are going pretty well with us. We're sticking with the Novalac for Constipation for Fraser - he seems pretty settled on it. We were trying to give him a bottle or two of Heinz a day, but it seemed to get him wired and we couldn't get him to sleep. He's been much better today (fingers crossed it continues) since just being on the Novalac. One thing I have noticed though is that when I give him his bottle of EBM, he gets hungrier so much quicker than if he has formula. After formula, he normally goes 4 hours til next feed, but with EBM, we're lucky if we get 3 hours.
Has anyone's bubs rolled over yet? One of the bubs at mother's group has, and I must say it has frightened me. Not that I am in the habit of leaving Fraser at any heights, but must make doubly sure that I don't now.

wow that was a lot to catch up on! We've finally moved out of our teeny tiny unit and into a lovely big house with a great big back yard and I'm loving it! So much less stress as we're not sitting on top of each other with no room to move, and as well as that we're in a very kid friendly neighbourhood and feeling very safe especially when DP has to work (he works nights).

Jelly, we gave Harri the snip just because that's what we wanted to do. When DP was 5 he apparently had some troubles and had to have it done then and apparently was a bit traumatising for him (understandably) so we just wanted to get it out of the way while he's so young...and on that note he had his 2 week check on Tuesday this week and the doc said it looks like its healed perfectly...he also said he hasn't seen such an alert and responsive baby in quite a while *I was so proud as this doc is the only pedeatrician in the region and sees a LOT of babies*
DTD, yeah we do it, was a bit strange at first but all back to normal now *yay!* No monthlys for me yet, and am having my check up next week, or the week after I can't remember
I won't even attempt to do more personals as I've forgotten who's said what :( but I certainly hope that everyone is doing great :D
AFM, Harrison is 7 weeks old now!! Have been formula feeding for 3 weeks now, I'm using Karicare Gold and Harrison has taken to it incredibly well. He has about 5-6 bottles a day, more in the morning not as many in the afternoon. I've found he hasn't been constipated with it at all and is doing at least 1 poo a day runnyish and mustardy, the only difference I've noticed with formula to BF poop's is that they now smell! BAD! lol but I guess I don't exactly smell like the botanical gardens either :doh:
Harri now weighs 4.9kg and is just on 60cms tall (he's a freaky tall baby). He's such a happy little boy! Always smiling and has been giggling too! He's super ticklish which makes it easy to make him giggle but pulling funny faces and saying to him 'where's mummy's smiles' makes him giggle and smile. By the sounds of it Harri's not the only one who doesn't sleep much during the day. He has 1 nap usually from around 10 to 12-1pm but not everyday. Night times we start his bath about 5 and spend a good hour singing, reading and having cuddles and he falls asleep around 6:30-7pm. Sleeps until anywhere between 1-3am, wakes for a feed and is up for about an hour and then back to sleep again until about 5-6am. It's rough waking up that early because I'm definitely not a morning person but I have a new found love for Carl Stefanovic :ROFL:
DSD is still with us and it's been great, there's still so much up in the air regarding the situation, but long story short is the court papers have been handed over to us by the mediators (mediation failed) and now its just a matter of filing them. However we've decided to give her mother 1 more opportunity to be the mother she has the potential to be and are trying very hard to convince her to move back to the same town, that way DSD has both her mum and dad close by which is the best thing for her.
Anyway time for a bath (OMG we have a bath now instead of just a tiny shower *love*) and bed.

Sorry I've been missing in action a bit...it's been really hectic around here as I'm sure you guys can imagine!
Jayden is going really well...seems to be growing so fast before my eyes! He actually had his biggest stretch betweeen feeds last night - 6.45-2.25am...WOW!
We're away for the weekend from tomorrow - a 2 1/2 hour drive away to the in-laws so that will be interesting...
Ok...can't write much - I'm missing the letter between o and { on my keyboard and it's driving me crazy...also the backsace button is wrecked as well...I knocked water on my la#to#
give those bubbas a big cuddle and I'll chat soon..xo

Wow B, $600 for the procedure, I feel pretty lucky now...Harri also had the plastibell method but it only cost us $300 ($200 after the medicare rebate).

Megan, welcome to our group! Really glad you found us. I'm glad little Liam is going well, but he's not the only one not wanting to sleep during the day!! Cameron is a lot more aware of his surroundings now and chats to his 'mates' in the cot heaps during the day. I mentioned this to the MCHCN earlier this week and she said that the trick is to put the baby down for a sleep as soon as you get the cue that he/she is tired, otherwise you might miss the boat. She said to look out for yawning, frowning, jerky movememnts, the baby looking past you or away from you or staring into space. So I have tried this and succeeded a few times so far. Cam always sleeps through the night which is good.
Teresa, I thought the next lot of needles is not until 6 months, I forgot about the 4 month ones! I don't want to take Cameron next time, I'll get hubby to do it :)
Miamunchkin, no rolling over here yet! Thank goodness...
Missawah, Cam's poos are extra smelly on formula too ;) Glad you like your big house! Must be a relief to have so much space now. Wish I had the same! We live in a shoe box :wall:

AFM, Cameron has settled OK after the needles, only cried the next night for a bit. In general, he has been staying awake more during the day, but somehow doesn't seem to get over tired as much during the evening. He's been playing up a bit during his feeds though....He takes in half the bottle and then thrashes about like the shark in Jaws, and refuses to take the rest. I have to then put his dummy in his mouth to get him sucking again, and sometimes he coutinues to finish the bottle after I quickly take the dummy out and replace it with the bottle. I have tried the bigger hole tits lately, don't know if the flow is too fast???????? Would that give him more wind??? Also, he is still doing his half smiles, I am waiting for him to take off like your little bubs and smile heaps more. Are some bubs just slower than others??? He 'talks' to his mates which is just a funny sound he makes, but doesn't giggle as such.....when will this happen????
