Bron - Hope everything gets back in order so you can get pg and hopefully cruise though it :crossfingers:
Skye - Good to see that Anth is getting sorted work wise. Hopefully the financial pressures will ease and you can enjoy life even more. And getting your own house would be awesome!
SJ - I hope you can sort out MJ's hips without having to go down the cast route. We had a friend that had to do it and it was a nightmare. It is a bummer that you had suspected that there was a problem but it didn't get picked up like it should have. I also hope that you can get a good result re your hips and have a healthy VBAC :)
Caitlin has 3 stories before bed. Then it is teeth brushing, kisses good night and then she gets dummy & Taggie and it is straight into bed and lights out. She occasionally calls out for another cuddle and I just go in give her a quick cuddle and tell her to lie down it's bedtime and then she usually goes off to sleep without anymore problems. I am sure this will change once she is in her big girl bed and can actually get out and come out! At least at the moment she has never tried to climb out of her cot.
-
SJ: So sorry to hear about MJ's hips. Hope it can get sorted quickly.
Bron: Hope you're health problems get sorted out soon.
Skye: Hoping Anth has long term employment and things start easing up for you guys. You've done it really tough since I've known you.
Jazz has bath at 7pm, then straight into her room to get her pajamas on and then it's in bed with a warm bottle of milk by 7:30. Sometimes we hear her talking and calling out for up to an hour and a half so we go in to make sure she hasn't fallen out of bed or done a poo. Though, she's never fallen out of bed. We've had her in the big bed for about 6 months (started as a matress on the floor). We put the bed on the frame at Christmas time, she had a barrier up for about a month and hasn't had it up for about 3 months and has never fallen out! She tends to spend more time talking and crying crocodile tears for attention if we haven't been able to spend much time with her before bed - so often on weeknights as we both work, then as soon as Jazz & I get home I cook dinner, we eat dinner, have a little play and then it's bath and bed. I'm trying to include her in making dinner and stuff more though.

Hmm not sure if I like the new look
-
I don't like it Bron. Its giving me a headache! But we'll get used to it...same as we do every time facebook changes, lol. TBH it looks a bit tacky to me.
Anyways. I had my u/s this morning. You guys may as well be the first to know, we are probably having another girl :) Not sure how I feel about that yet. Will probably hope til the day its born he was wrong. But not suprised. I did think we were having a girl. I have a DVD, so will upload some pics to fb later. Should probably let DH see it first ;)
Hope everyone's well :D
-
me dont like either! too hard/rough feeling....
yaay skye - early october! will be getting nice and warm then :) looking fwd to seeing your pictures. i cant believe you are 20 weeks already!
-
Yay Skye the pics are very cool..:-) thanks for sharing
Good news on the body front here after only 10 days back on the magic chinese herbs I have had my first period in 17 weeks yipeeeee never in my life been so excited to see it arrive *L*
Hope you all had a wondeerful mothers day spent with those you love xx
-
Not sure I'm liking the new look either. It has taken me ages to work out where things are!
Yay on the pink skye. Although you have all the boy stuff from Jessie so you will have some shopping to do.
Bron - Yay on the herbs working. I can understand the excitement of getting AF when you want to get back on track to have a bubba. Let's hope it is the start of something good :)
We had our 12 week scan today and I am finally brave enough to do a ticker! I was not going to do one until I knew all was ok because I didn't want to mozz it! Had a little scare as the neck fold was a little thick on the U/S but other factors for downs weren't present and once they put the U/S with the bloods & age we ended up with a 1:1200 ratio so I am happy with that.
Prama - I can't believe you are almost 25 weeks, where has the time gone? I am sure it is not going that fast for you though.
Hope everyone else is well xx
-
Not sure if I like it yet, will take some getting used to.
Congrats on another girl in the oven Skye.
Prama, do you know what you're having (and don't say a baby)
I went to the specialist on Friday about my thyroid and she's happy that currently things are going well since I've been on medication. My hormone levels are normal but I'll have to be on the meds for the rest of my life because my body is destroying my thyroid. I get to wait until the end of July for my next blood test! That will be the longest time between tests since I first got diagnosed. Have to go back to the specialist again in January, by that time I should know if we're going to TTC and the specialist will be able to tell me how much I'll have to increase my meds by when I get pregnant.
Jazz started at a new daycare last week. She's still very shy when I drop her off in the morning, I think that's because there are so many kids there when she arrives and she's still used to being the first one to arrive because that's what it was like at her old FDC. This evening while she was having a bath she was singing "Ba ba ba sheep ha-u-aee woo. Yessa yessa three ba fuu"
-
Danni - How cute is it when they try and sing. Caitlin seems to start with Twinkle twinkle but somewhere during it throws in a bit of ba ba and then itsy bitsy spider! We took a video of Caitlin doing Rock-A-Bye Bear the other day. It is a keeper for her 21st!
-
Today I really want to TTC. But that's just today. Matt said we can practice LOL. Still should wait until my thyroid medication is stable I guess, also still have 11 months left on the implanon.
-
danni - we'll find out if it's a boy or girl in aug ;)
if you really wanted to TTC could u get the implanon removed? sorry dont know much about it..
glad your thyroid is starting to settle, sounds good!
-
Danni, do you know you'll have to go off the thyroid meds while TTC, during pregnancy & breastfeeding? If so, maybe you'd be better having another now. I'm not sure.
A friend of mine has an underactive thyroid & was on meds. She lost all the weight it made her gain & then fell pg with her DS. She's now put all that weight back on. She has been breastfeeding him for almost 2 years & is waiting for him to wean so she can get back on the meds. Yours might be different though, or you might be better waiting :dunno:
-
Clover, I'm on thyroxine because my body has basically started destroying my thyroid and eventually I wont have one at all. I have what's called Hashimoto's disease. My specialist has said that I'll be on the meds for the rest of my life and has stressed that it's important to increase my dose when I do get pregnant. I did some reading and if I'm not on the right dose then I'll be at high risk of miscarrage or birth defects.
Anyway, Matt today said that he'd be happy to start TTC right now and has said that it's up to me. He said it makes sense to start about now. I'm thinking about it, but will need to talk to the doctor about it for the reasons mentioned just above! I hate that it's gonna be so complicated this time. I'll probably also have to have blood tests every couple of weeks or something. Arrrrghhhhh!
Watch this space.
The other thing to wait for is I'm not liking this job so I'm looking for something else. Will see what happens.
-
Hi guys,
Hope you are all well, i have been really struggling these last few months and finally have admitted it...
Saw my GP yesterday who has refered me to see a psycholgist.
Hopefully will get in to see her next week.
For someone that has always been the strong one that deals with other peoples problems, has really made it hard to ask for help.
Ummm, so i am still around and read, but i just want you to know that my silence at times is for no other reason than i have nothing positive to say and am sick of being negative.
Hope that makes sense.
xo
-
Thinking of you SJ. It's good that you asked for help from your GP and I hope that seeing the psychologist will help.
I quit my job today. My last day is Friday - so no TTC for me right now!
-
sj - big hugs to you hun.. so proud of you for taking the step. having been through depression and having to get referred, i know it's not easy. it's not easy admitting that you need see someone and it's not easy sitting w your gp and talking about it and doing the tests and knowing you need to see someone.
hope they psychologist will be able to help, but you've taken a big step already.
i have been the same, taking on other ppl's problems and always theirs seems more important than mine, and i try to go on thinking im ok. it doesnt matter etc.
take care, hun. be selfish and make it all about you. you matter most.
love you lots xoxoxoxo
if you need to talk at all, i can get online later tonight. xxoxoxo
-
 SJ.
As Prama said, taking that first step & talking to your gp is a huge one, & very hard to do, so be proud.
You can come in here & winge or vent when ever you need to. Don't forget. We might not have magical things to make it all better, but we can listen. I haven't been posting in here much, but I'm still always on BB.
I hope the psycologist helps :)
-
Thanks guys...
happy birthday Bri
-
Thanks SJ.
We had a huuuuge day! A good friend of ours had a baby girl this morning too, so made it an even bigger day, coz I had to go see her.

Hi Girls,
Wow its been quiet in here!!!
MJ has the chicken pox! she is coping really well and is just a bit more tired than usual, not too itchy, not too hot and not miserable - enjoying having the sofa bed out and the TV!!!!
Hopefully she stays happy for the next few days :crossfingers:
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...e-got-pox.html
Hope you are all well... how are you going Prama and Skye, hope the pg's are going well.
Bron, sorry i didnt reply, been flat out here, doing ok, thanks for carig hun, it was nice to get your message xo
-
Hi SJ. Poor MJ. Saw your status on Facebook. Hopefully she will make a speedy recovery and not get too many itchy bits :)
-
Poor little MJ! Hope she doesn't suffer too much. Bri had them at 6 months old. Have to say I think it was easier at that age, coz I could control the scratching better.
Is MJ vaxed against the pox? I didn't get Jesse done, but I think they've done the rounds here.
I'm lucky, Jaz is just a carrier. She brought them home from pre school & gave them to Bri, but never had them herself. I'm hoping Jesse's the same. Guess time will tell :)
All's going well with bub. Starting to get a good stock up of nappies....I don't wanna think about the amount spent, let alone let DH know, lol. Only gotta get a few more.
12 weeks to go today. Sounds like forever, but feel like its way too close. Specially when nappies are about all I have sorted!
We'll get there. Just gotta get Jesse a new seat (he's going into a booster) & bunks. He's still in the cot as a toddler bed, so gotta get it back soon.
How are you all doing with TT? We're back in nappies full time. I think the cold got too him & weeing more often. I'm gonna bring the potty out here again though & see how he goes since the last few days have been wierdly warm.
Not long til baby is here Prama! Must be getting uncomfortable. I'm going through hell with the SPD, but other than that feeling pretty good. Finally getting the house back in order after being so sick for the first 20 weeks & not being able to do much.
Hope everyone is good!
How's things going with the TTC SJ? Have you guys started again yet? Hope it all goes smoothly :)
Bout time we all caught up a bit! Been a bit slack lately!!!
-
oh sj, sorry to hear about mj having chicken pox. i guess the good thing is that she doesnt haven;t to worrya bout it again..
skye - wow 12 weeks!! i've 6 weeks or maybe 4 weeks. not long. bub is head down but not engaged yet. yes, very painful hips and so exhausted esp looking after lakshman..
plus, my pnd is back. ive been meaning to post but cant manage to.. i've just feeling so overwhelmed and lost.. we moved and tehre's still heaps to unpack and that gets me down. i keep t hinking the baby will be here and i'll still have to do things and never have rest. i just want to rest, im so so dead tired. i never had rest when lakshman was born, SINCE he was born. i just want to have some rest. sometimes i think the only time i will have rest, is when im dead...
sj - how are you going on the emotional side. im such a bad friend. ive been wanting to email you but just never did. im so sorry.
-
Are you finished up work yet Prama? If you are take your time? Is Poopy in daycare? If he is leave him there a few days a week, unpack slowly & relax when you can.
It does get easier hun. I know it doesn't feel llike it, but they won't be babies forever. Before you know it they'll never be home on the weekends & you'll miss being able to fit them both in your arms (or even wanting them in your arms! lol)
I feel the stress of not being ready too. I have a pram & cot, but I want a double pram & need to get Jesse out of the cot, otherwise someone's gonna have nowhere to sleep. Gotta organise the car seats, & this baby has no clothes yet...well only the few things I've picked up at vinnies. Nothing else. I'm stressing & DH keeps putting everything off. Its frusterating!!
Jaz's being a PITA lately. Just decided to develop the attitude of a 16 year old. Literally. I repeated some things to 17yo SIL who'e here for a week & she couldn't believe it...Jaz is saying the same things her friends say!!
A few weeks ago she couldn't find her shoes. I'm just so over looking for her that I told her I couldn't care less, & that if she didn't find them she'd have to go to school bare foot. Her reply... 'Fine, I'll just tell Mrs E you don't look after me properly!'
Then the usual threat to throw away everything on her bedroom floor if she didn't clean it... 'Do it. Waste your own money!'
So over it. But I'm at the point where I just laugh at her & ban her from something. We are going to the movies & the disco this week, she's already been banned from both & grounded, but she did put the dishes away twice & do a few other things for me...before back chatting me again...
Bri's just Bri, lol. Jesse can't go anywhere without pointing out every single bike we pass. Motorbikes. On the trailor, on the road, green, red, black, Harleys... he spots EVERY one!! FIL was amused when he took them for a drive, lol.
Getting another car in a few weeks. Can't wait. Mines out of rego in 2 days, gotta find a cheapo to get us by til we can get the loan at the start of next month. Mine would cost too much to fix & re rego.
-
skye, i finish work next week. yeah, we'll leave poopy at day care for 3 days now, even after the baby's born, for both our sanities.. he can have his own space and time and i can give teh baby some one on one.
sorry to hear that you;re feeling it too. what is it about men and procrastinating!
sorry to hear abt jaz.. hope it';s a phase. but it doesnt help.. dunno what you can do. could you talk to her school and see if it's common at the school. is she picking it up from there?
take care hun..
-
Hi Guys,
Thanks for your well wishes :) MJ is doing really well with the CP, she is obviously itchy but not overly 'sick' with it which is great. She is a bit less tolerant of things and when i say no to something, its like the world has ended, she is a bit emotionaly, poor little thing!
Sorry i have been a bit wrapped up in my own stuff to come on here more often,, i have missed you guys, Prama OMG 4-6 weeks to go, where has that tie gone! So sorry that you are struggling with your PND, and i didnt even know that you were moving, what a time you have had. MAke sure that when you finish work you take some time to just sit and relax, you didnt really get that before poopy arrived, so make sure that you can slow down before this bubba arrives (did you find out what you are having? - dont know if i want to know what it is, i like suprises, but just wondered) Oh and dont apologise, you have so much on your plate, i knew you were here if i needed you, i think i just needed some space to et my head around stuff :) Which i am slowly doing ;)
Skye 11 weeks for you, wow the time has just flown!!!
Sorry to hear about Jaz, it must be so much more testing when you are pg to deal with all that attitude! I am not hoping MJ grows up too fast! Hope you get the car situation sorted soon.
MJ is fully toilet trained during the day and day time sleep, ony wearing a nappy for night time, whish is often wet, but freshly wet in the morning. am not going to bother tryng to get her out of that nappy until thje weather warms up! She only sits on the toilet, so it means that i am actively involved when she needs to go as she cant get on herself, but she comes running to me saying 'wee wee Mumma' and off we run, she is also now able to 'hold on' so if we are out and she needs to go she can get to a toilet without having an accident - it great not having to wash so many nappies all the time i can tell you!!!
Other than the CP, MJ is doing really well, she is so inquisitive and asks why and whats that often, she loves being active and it is getting harder to keep up with her, she has so much energy!
Gotta go to work, but will check in more reguarly
-
Not really TT here, but at daycare they're sitting Jazz on the toilet every nappy change and once in a while she does something.
She's going through a phase at the moment where she at least once a day gets really angry at us and screams "I dont want to" while kicking & hitting us. But the rest of the time I enjoy this age.
-
GUESS WHAT
Wonder how long til you all check BB :P
-
I'm always here ;) what....????
Tell me, tell me, tell me!!!!
Hope its what I'm dreaming it is................
-

-

-
Ah brilliant..Nick just said whats wrong? ( becasue I yahooed out loud in the loungeroom) *L* congrats hunny lots of sticky sticky thoughts for you am so happy xxx
-
Hi guys,
Boy its quiet in here!
things have been up and down here lately, pg is going fine so far, but i am so worried about loosing the baby again...
I met Prama, Steve and Lakshman last weekend, it was so lovely to finally meet after all these years (an you believe its almost been 3!!!) what a journey we have all shared :) Lakshman is a little cutie and after the initial shyness, MJ and him played fairly well together at the park...
Anyway, its been a very sad week, https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...r-through.html My sister and her BF of 9 years split (you will have to read it to gauge the full impact) and it has been really really sad around here.
MJ is doing really well, talking non stop, she is over her CP, now only to get a cold! poor thing.
We have implemented a star chart for sleeping through the night - rather, not asking to come into mummy and daddys bed, i dont mind if she wakes cos she needs something, but waking because she wants to be in our bed and not able to go back to sleep has been really hard, especially as i am soooooo tired at the moment ( some nighst she would be awake for 2-3 hours call out every 20 minutes or so, so no sleep for me)
So, since Monday, we have slept ALL THE WAY THROUGH 2 times and have only woken for a tissue (awwww cute) and because her covers came off (she refuses to be tucked in)
She has taken to its so well, there will be a small reward after 10 nights to keep her interested, but so far it is going better than i could have imagined.
Thanks to you all for your well wishes, praying for this one to stick :)
-
SJ - it was sooo good to see you and MJ. she's a stunner, just like her mum. it was great seeing Lakshman and MJ play together. Hopefully Steve will have time next week to download the pictures.
so sorry to hear about your sister, it's a massive thing. I hope she'll be ok.
I'm sure this baby will stick, dont worry too much, I know it's not easy.. the first trimester is the longest, so much to worry about. you will come out the other side.
have sorted all the baby clothes, and nappies. just folding socks and bibs at the moment. there's so much clothes now, so many of Lakshman's. hopefully next week i can rest more..
