Just wanted to post in the new forum..LOL!!
Hope you all had a fantastic Mothers Day!!
We spent the day in doors as Mister has been a bit off for a couple of days.....but I found the cause today tooth #6....but not cut in as yet just seeing the tip.
DH made me yummy b/fast and bought me a beautiful card, a really cute (kids) Mummy book and a little monkey that says Mummy's little monkey.
All in all a dream come true to have my First Mothers Day
Nah, I updated it a while back - just after christmas - maybe its more noticable in the new forums? Seeing your post Vic reminded me that I had the weirdest dream last night, I was staying in Melbourne for a week for work with one of my work colleagues - and we ended up staying with you guys LOL, I was missing Bailey like crazy so I was having my baby fix by playing up a storm with CJ hahahahahahaha
Oh, and Baileys new grobag arrived on Friday - thanks :)
Happy Mothers Day lovely mummies. Krystie hope it all went well and you are feeling positive. Naomi I have a banging lamb shank receipe. It has been handed down for generations so I know it by heart but haven't got it written down. i will do it for you tomorrow.
Love Bella
hey guys ive been quiet for a while just having money troubles and worrying about jamies birthday which is only in 6 days im too excited but dead coz hes been sick and its really running me down
hope everyone had an awesome mummies day xoxoxox
Jacinta: Sorry you have been so tired. I sort of know the feeling, except I'm not preggers on top of that! Hope J gets better soon and you can get some rest. Bummer about the money stuff. I know how that feels too. How exciting that you are about to have a little 1yo!
Bella: Glad J's teething has settled a bit. Talk about knackered.
Nay: Woohoo @ the slow cooker! Yay for mum!
Nic: Sounds like you had a wonderful day :) Hope A is feeling better soon - sorry to hear he's not well.
Vic: Glad you are doing well.
Cathy: I think I must've had a really good run with the breastfeeding/biting caper. I have been lucky that my girls haven't bitten much and not hard when they did. I don't think I'd have the determination to stick with it if they were drawing blood :o
Sorry about Laura's face. It is hard to know what's going on in a little kid's mind. Does Laura respond well to positive reinforcement/reward systems? I was never a fan but I decided I'd had enough of Natalie's puddles on the floor so I introduced a sticker chart with a chocolate reward when she got 10 stickers. There have been 0 accidents since we started! Not sure if it'd be workable with Laura's situation, but some incentive is always good. Maybe she finds the scratches really itchy when they are healing? I remember finding grazes on my knees very itchy. It's just a bummer that it's on the sensitive skin of her face.
KL: Hope today went really well, babe. xx
Had a lovely mothers day here. The girls made me some craft at childcare - a bookmark and picture from Phoebe (she had arranged crepe paper on some cardboard then they put contact over the top) and handprints on heart-shaped paper from Natty saying, "Mum, I hand you my heart". LOL. Cute. Corny but cute. After church this morning we went up to the shops and bought a new coffee grinder (our old one died and we've been struggling along with only decaf for a couple of weeks now as that was the only ground coffee we had in the house!). I had a voucher from my birthday which I decided to put towards it so we could get a good one. Then we had lunch with my folks which was relaxing. I didn't do much in the way of chores today. Yippee!
Off to bed - who knows what Phoebe will do tonight. She's all over the place these days. Happy Mothers' Day to you all. xxx
I hope you all had a magical Mother's Day! Mine was wonderful. Kyson and Bobby gave me 3 gorgeous charms for my pandora bracelet. One is a little boy, one is a little girl, and the other is a round bead with small hearts made out of 'mother of pearl'! They are so beautiful and thoughtful and of course made me cry, hehe. Gosh I love my boys so much!!!
Our embryo transfer went very well today. Our amazing little girl has been growing well and was already starting to hatch :) We got a photo and I think she is absolutely gorgeous. Here she is! I already love her so much so I hope so badly that she implants and grows strong! The transfer went perfectly and I could even see the media containing the embryo expelled from the catheter on the ultrasound (embryo is too small to see of course). Come on little one! You can do it!
I'm keeping an eye on my tummy though, because it's still pretty swollen. I already look pregnant! I'm not sure if it's still because of the EPU still, or whether it's the Crinone gel bloating me. The crinone gel is not fun. It's making me a bit sleeping, a bit dizzy, and a bit nauseous. Similar to mild morning sickness. Hopefully it's just getting me ready for pregnancy ;) I just checked my weight though and I'm up 2kg, so I'll keep a close eye on myself in case of OHSS.
Kyson is also keeping me on my toes. I think his 6th tooth is finally deciding to cut through soon, and in the afternoons he has been quite a stink bug! He just has massive tanty's if I put him down, or if I move, or if I move him away from something, etc. Gosh this boy knows how to throw a good tanty! Hopefully the tooth will come through and things will calm down soon. He's still a sweet little boy though mostly, hehe. He's now saying "ta" when he wants something, and he loves to share his food and toys with me. So cute!
everything is crossed for you KL!
sorry i haven't been on much - with birthday and mothers day, and making sure it was all "just so" for mum and friends, i have become a bit of a hermit - oh, and E has been very full on - not in a bad way, just in an "i have no time to post" way! at the moment she has her walker pushed into my knee, standing over it, tapping me on the knee and telling me some tale or other - no idea what it is today - she never stops talking!
Apologise for also being MIA - no real reason just feeling shattered at the moment and not thinking in an orderly fashion - not sure why - CJ is waking occasionally in the night for a feed but then sleeps in longer so I don't think is that. The weather perhaps - who knows! Yesterday I turned up for an ABA meeting a week early! This evening got very cross at DH for laughing saying I will never sell my charity chocolates (MG meets at community house, every other year each MG has to raise 200 dollars so we are selling chocolates).
CJ has also become a boob monster again, she really seems to love the boob again, number of feeds has gone back up and she has that blissed out look when she is feeding again like when she was a newborn - is quite nice but if she wakes up at night her hands are freezing and she likes to stroke them!
Hope all goes well Krystie.
Right well am off to go to bed early see if I can break the cycle of tiredness! Hopefully tomorrow you will see a new and improved Vic.
PMSL Vic about CJ stroking your boobs with cold hands!! J has been a crazy booby monster of late and I swear she is more attatched to them everyday. She likes to touch and stroke and stare. She sometimes pulls off in mid let down and cops a face full of milk and looks so shocked.
I will come and do some proper persies sometime soon girls. It has been a hard few weeks with J. She has 8 teeth now and I think she has stopped for awhile so she is a bit happier but still a lot of work
Love Bella
hi girls,
jac: hope your ok darl i know how much money troubles suck :(
krystie: im not really sure how all that ivf stuff works but i hope you get a sticky bubba or two!!!
sorry ive been MIA too, i had a break from BB for a week or so while Jade was busy not sleeping (but has gone from basically doing squat, to crawling, sitting up, clapping and saying lots of 'words' in a matter of 2 weeks... the new word is 'diddle' not sure what it means but very cute when she sits there blathering on to herself about this 'diddle' and does little laughs to herself it cracks me up!!
had a pretty crudy mothers day, XP took DD along with his new girlfriend and her 3 kids to XPs mums house for a mothers day lunch which i found very rude....so i organised to go and see friends sunday nights then XP rings (after having jade all mothers day) and says im too tired to have her tonight so not only did i not see her all day, i couldnt go out that night! grrrr
anyway vent over sorry for the 'me' post, i applied for tafe this week so im abit pre occupied!!
hope all you mummies are well xx
Gee I'm so thankful for this thread! So glad to hear Phoebe isn't the only one who's been hard-core lately. My house was turning into such a MASSIVE dump. I just couldn't get on top of anything (there's still a pile of washing up to do but I'll hopefully get a chance to do that today). On Monday I threw her into the backpack and was able to do the vacuuming, bathrooms & tiles downstairs. I HATE having 3 bathrooms! I'm always cleaning bathrooms! Anyhoo, I felt quite virtuous, LOL, but feels much better not living in a pigsty. The rest of the place is still crappy-looking but at least it's relatively clean.
Re the boobs, Phoebe has been about the same only she is wanting to feed more at night (I think because she had that cold and now it's become a habit). Kind of depressing that the closer she gets to 1yo the worse her sleeping is becoming. I'm hoping that she settles down a bit more before we go on holidays in a couple of weeks. I know that going away is going mean our sleep deteriorates and I'm sorry to keep going on about it but I feel like I'm just chronically tired and a complete b!tch to everyone.
She's been delightful otherwise, lots of kisses etc. I had thought she might walk by her birthday but now I don't think so. I think she's quite happy to crawl and/or be carried!
Anyway, gotta go and do damage control - kids killing each other etc. BBL hopefully. xx
wow maybe he wasnt just sick it seems like allare having a hard time i feel so much better today its actually quiet instead of jamie screaming non stop and hes slobbering hard core with this tooth its taking forever to come through this hasnt happened with any of the other teeth now im just hungry lol
getting ready for jamies party doing tons of watching
Hey mummas, still here but have the flu...MY FIRST IN OVER 12 MONTHS!!!
It's hard work being mummy when you feel like crap!!
Hope everyone is well and will catch up as soon as I get a bit better
Hey Mummy's
Nic - arrgghhhh re the flu, not nice trying to look after a bub when you are not 100%, hope you are on the mend and recover quickly!
J - nice names in your status thingo - when is your scan booked to find out?
Amy - 3 bathrooms!! I whinge at our two, bathroom cleaning truly sucks. Arrrgghhh sleeping, we have just resigned to clo-sleeping from about 11pm-ish onwards, Bailz seems to have this wide awake moment around then and it hard to re-settle, as we are both tired it's easier to just throw him in bed with us. I find it annoying from the fact that I used to stay in Baileys room and re-settle him, but DH doesn't have the same patience in the middle of the night. I hear him muttering through the monitor which I think just winds Bailey up more and pi$$es me off so I just suggest to him now to bring Bailey in, he then cuddles up with me and we all get some sleep. Although we are not feeding or anything during the night, the unbroken sleep is tough isn't it. Bailey's sleep is average currently - perhaps its the moon if all our babies are like it?
Bridg - Hows business babe?
KL - love Kysons cleverness re fetching your phone. Bailey will respond to simple command type things now - eg "give Mummy your spoon please", "pass Mummy your truck" etc etc It freaks me out how well they understand even though their talking is so limited.
Vic - Hope you feel back to your normal self soon too. Weird how we are all going through a funny patch in one way or another, nice to know we are all here for each other though.
TM - I love Jade's Mary Jane socks, we have the skulls and the sport shoe ones with the little laces for Bailz and I love to match socks with outfits - these girls will tell you its my obsession :)
BG - sounds like you had a massively busy (and selfless) mothers day, good on you babe
Bella - I am with you re being so busy and trying to find time. Its a mega busy time at work for me, and I need to get my workload under control so I can make the part time and work from home thing a success when I start it mid July. Currenlty I am working 5 days a week and its bloody tough. If I ask DH to do something he has missed lately he just gets in a grump and says I am bossy. I tried to find a solution to it but he doesn't want me to tell him what do do, I am not allowed to leave a list as apparently he'll work it out eventually (very annoying when in the middle of the night I find that for the 5th night in a row he hasn't 'eventually' worked out to replace Baileys sippy cup so I can give him a quick drink of water after which he usually falls back asleep, or I go to change a nappy while getting ready for work while he lies in bed and realise he hasn't worked out to fill the nappies or wipes - I finally cracked it last night and had a go). So I find that after Bailey is in bed I potter around the house doing what needs to be done. Don't get me wrong, he does alot, but seems to think that he is the only one doing it all which is driving me crazy.
So Amy - I will join your tired and b!tchy club!
While I am on my massive vent - we went to the ILs after work on Monday to see the MIL for Mothers Day, no "Happy Mothers Day" to me, in fact they didn't even acknowledge me for about 15 mins as they were talking to Bailey - I HATE it when people talk through your baby - iykwim and so YOU answer but they dont actually acknowledge anything you say - far out!!! Then she has the rudeness to tell Bailey how I am cruel and mean as I was spoiling his attempts to play (or bang) the glass doors of their entertainment unit and because I took a bottle of alcohol off him that he picked up - what a 'effing' cruel mother I am!!!!! Soooooooooo sick of it all! I have decided that next time she talks to him about his cruel mother I am going to say politely but firmly that I would like her to support my parenting choices and could she please stop telling Bailey how mean and horrible I am or I will start to tell him how mean and horrible she is. I really dont give a rats toss any more! He is at the age where he understands soooooooooo much now and this has to stop.
Anyway, enough matyrdom from me. Apart from my whinges, all is good and will improve. I am very excited as its only 8 sleeps till this damn brace is gone and I cant wait.
omg Naomi ikwym, XPs parents were like that to me and to XPs brothers gf who was 15 when she had thier kid and they would always say right in front of her how bad of a mother she was etc etc, no wonder she got pnd.... wish MIL's would stfu sometimes! LOL
i had a bad mummy moment today, i put jade down on the floor to put some washing on (i swear i put her in her playpen but obv didnt) heard her scream came out and she had crawled into the kitchen and jammed her finger in the bottom drawer :( i felt so bad but she was over it as soon as i cuddled her.....cant believe my baby who was so far behind is now up and at em!!!
TM - Thanks babe, it just *****s me off, I know I am a good Mum, It would be nice to have something positive come from the MIL though
