Hi there everyone!
Thanks J!
Happy birthday to my gorgeous little girl! I can't believe she's one!
No tears yet... not sure if there will be any, she's felt like a toddler for a while now.
We're all a bit sick, colds mainly. Hoping that they clear up by Sunday for the big party!
Sorry I have been neglecting the thread lately, with everything going on with my folks and hospitals, and organising Allira's party, as well as Netball, strength training and all the normal Mum things... I just haven't had the time to post.
I am reading when I can to try and keep up.
Anyway, again I'm off. Lots to do before Sunday.
xxoo to you all

Happy Birthday Allira!!!
Hope the birthday party on the weekend is awesome and everyone is healthy Nicky :)

Happy Birthday Allira!!
hope you're feeling better and have a great party on the weekend!
Nay - your IL's sound like they're getting even more painful! grrr to them. there are some days that, as sad as it is for C, i'm glad i don't have IL's
J - i hear you on the money stuff - it's part of the reason i'm not posting much - every time i think i can post, i realise i need to try to organise something else on a shoestring budget. it's doing my head in. we've been working our butts off at a friends place to get some stuff for E's birthday - "bartering" is an awesome thing!
have had a very bad day today with depression/anxiety being almost unbearable. partially it's sleep deprivation (e has a tooth on the brink of coming through), partially it's money stress - but it wasn't a nice day at all. i'm now in the process of shelving a day worth of nasties, and focussing on tomorrow being a new day.

Happy birthday to Allira for yesterday!! :happybirthday:
I do hope Sunday is wonderful, and please accept Phoebe's apologies. Look forward to cruising through some pics on FB, Nicky.
BG:So sorry you had such a crap day yesterday. I hope today is going better. It sucks re the money, but I am glad you have something worked out with friends for pressies. TBH I haven't thought about pressies for P yet! It will be modest anyway - good thing she's got cheap taste, LOL. They are so happy with small amounts of simple stuff... thank God.
Emma: Ah, they are quick as a flash now, hey? Not to worry about the finger. Phoebe fell down the stairs the other day... for the 2nd or 3rd time. I am hopeless at remembering the gate and she is up the stairs before I can blink and she doesn't have the smarts to go down backwards yet. I'm hoping she works it out soon before she scores some serious head injury... cause I just know I'm going to keep forgetting the gate.
Nay: Ugh, don't you just hate the inequality within relationships IRT parenting?!? I am sure your DH does loads for Bailz, but IKWYM about having to think of everything and/or do it yourself in order to get it done. DH has Phoebs on a Thursday and gets the girls ready and drops them off on my work days (I pick them up) yet it's still me who packs their bags, calls CC if they happen to be sick, arranges alternatives when my parents are away or sick etc. I am sure my DH would accept a list from me but I just want him to have a crack, y'know? Honestly, packing a school bag REALLY isn't that hard! (It's difficult for me though because P is often still asleep until just before or after I leave the house and therefore I have to creep in to get some nappies if I haven't thought to do it the night before. *Sigh*
Your MIL is an utter cow. You're the best mum. Don't listen to her - she's obviously threatened by you.
Nic: That's awful re the flu! You must feel dreadful :( Hope you are back on your feet again soon.
Working hard today, LOL! Actually, I have been. It's good because we really need the money and I have been doing some extra hours. We have spent thousands on our car - it's just one thing after another. I have been thanking God for my pay because if I hadn't been working we'd have been stuffed. I've been trying to settle down about money too - trying to have a healthier attitude toward it and just be a bit sensible rather than so reactive all the time. Wish me luck - it's hard to change a lifetime of a behaviour.
I've also been watching one of these kid-wrangling shows where they show you ways to deal with toddler behaviour. I am reminded of so much of that commonsensical stuff and seeing it put into practice - it has been very inspirational with Natty. Having said that, I did fall apart with her the other day and had to apologise. I went to close her car door and it wouldn't shut. So I looked around and finally discovered that she had poked a rock into the latch in the door! And because I then tried to close it I had jammed it in even further! I was crying and carrying on because all I could think about was how much it'd cost to get someone to fix it, LOL. Anyway, like the wino I am I found a corkscrew in my handbag (PMSL! Don't ask... who knows?!?) and used the little knife part to slowly chip away at it and eventually push it out. Was so stressful and I got a bit cross with Nat. Not fair, as she had simply seen a hole and put a rock in it. No big deal. I have to learn to go to my happy place when I get stressed instead of getting so cross.
Ah-K - I think I had better get back to work. Lots of love to you all. xx

Well... I 'think' I have good news. I know I really shouldn't be testing, and I should just wait until the blood test... But the blood test isn't for almost another WHOLE WEEK! So, I've been testing, lol. I had a bunch of the cheap internet tests still here, so the day after the transfer I tested to see if there was any hcg from the trigger shot that would still show. There might have been a very faint line, but so faint that I wasn't sure if I was imagining it. Two days later I did it again and couldn't see anything. The last two days I've tested as well, and have gotten the faintest of faint lines (you know the type where you can only see it in the right light at the right angle?). But this mornings test I can see a very faint line without putting any kind of heavy-duty-industrial-line-reading-goggles on. So, of course I went and bought a 3-pack of first response tests LOL! I've just done one now (3.45pm so not FMU) and I am getting a very definite and easily visible line!!! I thought I better read up about trigger shots, and how long the hcg stays in your body before getting excited. The info I found was that for every 1000IU of trigger shot you get, you should wait 1 day. I had a maximum of 10000IU (was probably actually 6500IU apparently) so after 10 days it will all be gone. We today is 14 days after my trigger shot! I think my line is a real one! Gosh I really hope so. I still look forward to the blood results, but I'll keep "practicing" with the hpt's hehehehe
Edit: Just wanted to mention I'm only on progesterone gel now, so no meds that would give a false positive...

KL - Cool, fingers crossed that you get positive result at blood test! I can understand the compulsion to keep testing. We are not TTC but I keep thinking might be pregnant, I haven't got my AF back yet am on mini-pill and still BF so chances are very very slim but I have still taken a test four times since giving birth! I have now used more tests since having CJ than I did before! I think because haven't got AF back I don't have that signal each month confirming I am not so I keep thinking I am.
Nicky - Hope all goes well on Sunday - I still can't believe it was a year ago I was reading about all your little ones and waiting for CJ to arrive, is weird. So many things remind me of last year (the food I am wanting to eat, the weather, etc etc - maybe that is why keep thinking I am pregnant :-)
BG - Hope you are feeling better.
Amy - Glad you are enjoying work. I think I will like going back but after speaking to some agents looks like will definitely be me full time and DH part time, will be weird but am sure I will cope. Wonder how DH will get on though as I do pretty much all the "work" involved with CJ and he just does the fun stuff. He is great at housework though but I think it will be a shock to him how much remembering stuff there is when looking after a little one - I am hoping he finds it a bit hard anyway because sometimes it depresses me how good he is at all the stuff I am crap at, and have the nagging feeling that he will find it easier than I do because his brain is wired better for it.
Am loving seeing CJ caterpillar crawl all over the place, I love it so much I let her get into everything though and am not at the "I wish she would just lay there like she used to" phase yet. No real signs of her pulling up on anything yet so I think will be a few months before there is any cruising going on.
Hi to everyone else - got to go speak to my mum on webcam.
-
KL that's amazing news hun - so hoping that your test this arvo is accurate - fantastic news!
Vic - it may not be a couple of months before you have a furniture cruiser! E went from not moving to crawling to surfing the furniture within maybe 3 weeks - thankfully, she isn't brave enough to let go yet! i'm sure she'll get there
Amy - glad you're enjoying work hun! it's hard to make the decision to go back, but when you know it's necessary, it's so much better if it's enjoyable! i'm finding work way too boring at the moment - at least it's giving me time to plan some stuff for E's birthday! lol
AFM - soooooooooooo tired tonight - had a really bad day emotionally yesterday - today is much better (Craig was home, caught up with my bro etc) - but the emotional upheaval and toing and froing is doing my head in! at least i'm going into the weekend in a good mood. will probably be flat out cooking for the party - have my 9 year old niece here all weekend to either help cook, or help entertain the poppet so that we can cook. either way, she is here and i'm sure we'll have a great time. am just waiting on the rest of the rsvp's - tomorrow is the cut off - hopefully i'll know by then how many loot bags i need to make up and what other bits and bobs i need to buy to finish them off
-
Fab news, KL!!! Will be thinking of you over the next week.
Sorry just a quick one as I have to get stuck into the chores - where has the morning gone? (LOL, I remember the days when I got up at 9 on a weekend...) Have a lovely one all. xx
-
:crossfingers: Krystie (I'll cross everything else too!)

Thank you for the birthday wishes! Just about to get organised to leave the house and go and start setting up. Had a few people pull out at the last minute (noone here), so I'm going to have so much excess.... although there are still a few maybe's (which is just as frustrating! lol).
Happy Birthday to Jamie for yesterday!!!!!! Hope you had a wonderful day!
Krystie, Fantastic news! Wishing you all the best!
Ok that's enough. Shower time... Have great Sunday!
xx

:happybirthday: Jamie for yesterday! (Sorry I missed it when I posted!) Hope it was a great day for you all, Jacinta. xx

Hi girls!
Well it's been a couple of mostly nightmarish days for us here. Kyson's 6th tooth has half cut through the gum and it's relly troubling him. He's really restless at night, and from about 3am I'm awake because the only way he'll stay asleep is with my hand on him so that I can rock or pat him as soon as he stirs. He's been very upset and cranky during the day (probably due to lack or sleep as well as the pain) and is generally spending a lot of it on my lap cuddling, or with me constantly distracting him on the floor with toys. He's also having trouble with his day sleeps and only having half the length of naps as usual.
Today he woke really early again, then we managed to get him to sleep for a nap this morning for almost an hour which was good. I had a baby shower to go to today, and thankfully he was in ok spirits for the first part of it as long as I let him run up and down the concrete driveway and down the footpath. He's actually worn two little holes in the tops of both shoes! Then he must have remembered his tooth and got upset again, so we left early. He cried all the way home before crashing for another short nap. I'm sure we're in for another fun night because I can hear him whimpering from time to time through the baby monitor. I'll give him some panadol when he wakes for a feed.
Nicky - The photos from Allira's party are great. Gosh, she looked so adorable! Where did you get a caterpillar outfit from? Too cute!!!
Vic - You had me giggling that you had used more tests since having CJ, than before! I can understand you wanting to test though. If I still hadn't gotten my AF back I think from time to time I would have wondered too.
You might be surprised how quickly CJ goes from her caterpillar crawl (she needs Allira's costume!) to cruising, then standing and then walking. Kyson learnt them all in a pretty short period of time, and left me standing there asking "Where did my baby go?!" Lol!
BG - How are you feeling now after you "low day"? I hope you're feeling more positive and just getting excited about E's birthday party! I can't wait to see photos of what you dress her in for the day :) We were hoping to make the trip over, but DH's ex has changed weekends on us and it looks like we are going to have the other two boys here as well. The food sounds like it's going to be divine, and I'm gutted I'm not going to have more of those delicious sausage rolls!
Amy - You used to get up at 9 on a weekend? Gee, I used to get up at 2pm!!! LOL!!!
Nay - Thanks for the crossed fingers! I hope you're not getting finger cramps keeping them crossed for so long...
To everyone else, I hope you are all doing well. Much love to you all xoxox
