Hi Ladies!!

Marni: You could try getting some "Brauers Colic Relief" from the Chemist...Chocolate and Kaylee don't mix either, but the brauers really helps...I think it helps her relax...I used it the other night after Kaylee screamed with wind for 6 hours...she relaxed, went to sleep and spent the night ripping out farts that I could hear on the baby monitor!!! (but she slept through it!)

As for her hips...I'm a bit peeved...
We went to the Dr, got the referral only to find out that there are only 3 places in Melbourne that can ultrasound infants....I called one place and was told they only did them on Tuesdays, and that next week and the one after are fully booked...I thought I'd try my luck and see if there had been any cancellations for today...and as I was on the phone SOMEONE CANCELLED! I was stoked.
So we trotted off and had it done.
When I got there the chick asked me why we were having it done so early, given that she is (adjusted age) only like 3 days old...I told her that there was a family history of hip issues in girls and that 2 professionals had picked it up (in fact the Dr found a click in BOTH hips not just one).
She told me it was pointless doing it today really because she's so young, but she did it anyway.
She asked if they were dislocated and I said no....
She then proceeded to tell me that both are "immature" and would be better off done at 6 weeks, and that they both show shallow hip sockets....But they are not dislocated (Nice one woman, I just told ya that!)
She kept insisting that it'd need to be done again, but like DH and I said...the sockets are developed...even in 6 weeks they won't be any deeper, the whole joint is just going to have gotten bigger, the structure itself is still going to be shallow...dumb woman!
SO...I have to call the Dr tomorrow and see what she thinks, but she's likely to refer me on (if not, she will cause I'm gonna request it!), cause I would rather start the ball rolling and get another scan in 6 weeks if we need to, rather than sit on it for 6 weeks and find we could be already fixing the whole thing...


Oh and I forgot to ad in my first post, Kaylee was 3.170 (6lb 15oz) at birth, 46cm long, head circ 34cm.
At her 2 week check she was 3.290kg (she lost 90g before we left hospital), and 50cm long.
