I've told Murray not to worry, because I'm not.
There was something else I was going to add but I cant remember it now :p
Hey lovelies!!!
Jaja is NOT walking, good, my baby for longer;) Meh kids do things when they're ready NOT when a chart says so;)
Liz- omg TTC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????
Rach- Luke is a talker;)
Fi- ttc aswell!!! My god I must be behind;)
Stevie- Please do, Alissa would be an amazing big sister AND your babies are soooooooooooooooooo cute!!!
Well, not much to report. My girls are getting so beautiful together. I lve watching them:) Lucy is talking, standing, trying to walk etc but most of all throwing tantrums! Yep, if I dont want to give her the boob, or as she calls it, "here", then she will throw herself on the floor and bash her feet and hands........oh ****......
Hey girls it's nice to get some updates!!
Your little ones are all doing so well and developing their own beautiful little personalities, I'm so happy to read how well they are all doing :D
Leila is doing really well...
She's running - walking is no longer an option for her!
She says lots of words... mum, dad, hello (quite clearly), see ya (so cute!), book, dog (she goes woof woof all the time too!), ta, no, Leila (says her own name all the time), that, milk, duck, hat... a few others too I just can't think of them at the moment. Her language skills are quite well developed (I think so anyway!).
She seems to understand quite a lot of things ie. are you hungry/thristy, do you want to go outside, have you done a poo, open/close, on/off, time to change your nappy, let's go for a walk, where's you hat, where's your shoes, where's ...(insert name of toy). I find that if I want her to do something I just say "Leila do" and she has a go at whatever it is I'm asking her to do. I guess she just likes to copy everything that I do
She has 12 teeth and eats really well - has been a bit up & down with her eating but mostly she's really good.
Is a major tantrum thrower!!! I actually just posted to get some advice and she hits herself in the head all the time, it's awful. The poor thing gets upset and then hits herself in the head :shakehead: Kas your post made me feel a bit better! It's so hard when they do that, I worry that she will really hurt herself
Big hugs to everyone
Fi x
Kass, yep we're TTC - But not many people that actually know me know :p I'm actually in limbo atm to where I'm at in this cycle I'm in.
Fi, she sounds like she's doing well :) I forgot 'that' as well - William said 'that dere' (that there) and points to things, but when he says it, he says it as a question :p
Hey girls just though I'd update you and let you know that we are putting TTC #2 on hold for a few months as I just got a new job  Don't want to start and then have to tell them I'm preggers so we'll probably give it 6 months or so before we start TTC. I'm a little sad about it as I'm keen to have another bubs but at the same time I think it is the best thing for me right now and in the end will make me a lot happier and put me in a much better frame of mind in preparation for another baby.
((hugs)) for putting TTC on hold but  for a job and a happy you
well after being :( cause luek wasn't saying mum or anything even close on my bday he said mamma it was in a sooky nmode but he has continued saying it and he calls out to me etc so  I got my bday wish

thanks fi i thought it was pretty cool :)
welcome back tammie!!!!!!!!
Fi- At least when you TTC in 6 months you'll have a clearer head space and maybe mat leave?:)
Tammie- Welcome back!!!!!! Congrats on all the moving etc:)
Rach- Sooooooooooooo exciting, "mum":)
Hi ladies, I've sort of caught up... It will take me a while!
Fi and Liz, I admire you for considering TTC again! I know I'm not ready and not even sure if we will have another bubby.
Don't mis-interpret, I love being a mum and love E more than I ever knew I could. I always only wanted one baby so ATM we are considering whether to have a playmate for E but if we do it won't be for at least a year anyway.
As I mentioned before, we have been quite busy lately with moving etc. I went back to work 4 days (but v flexible hrs so I am home to spend time with E for a bit each a'noon) and I also take E to swimming lessons and a kindermusik class. I was also going to look at a kinder gym for him but haven't gotten there yet....
I do all this with him cos he doesn't go to daycare. My MIL looks after him. She is 49 and doesn't work and really loves spending the time with him so far. I am considering putting him in DC 1 day a week soon as he seems to really love playing with other kids... If he's going to be an only child I don't want him to be a difficult one that doesn't play well with others!
I'll agree with everyone about how beautiful it is to hear them talking. E says a few words like mum, dad, baby, dog, cat, nan, nana (for banana) and uh-uh-uh whenever he is about to do something he knows ge shouldn't! Very cheeky monkey.
Well I am at work so better get back to it! I have AL next week as we have family visiting so will be taking E to seaworld and gold coast a fair bit (we will take our guests away from the disaster that is Brisbane ATM).
xx.
It's funny, while being pg with DS, we said we'd like the same gap that DH and BIL have which is bout 2 months off 3 years. Then, when DS was born, we said we're not going to have another for 5 years - Then, on Boxing Day, DH said he wanted another baby and I'd been getting clucky for the last 2 months.. So, we thought what better time really?
I'm looking for a new job, I just can't handle the immaturity from EVERYONE there (It's hard to explain unless your actually there) but haven't been sucessful just yet. I know something will come for me, it's all a matter of waiting
Welcome back Tammie!!! It's great to see you in here again. Sounds like everything is going well. I'm glad you are ok with all the horrible things going on up your way. I know a lot of ladies that have kids that don't go to day care either because they are a SAHM or have family to look after their babies, however, some of them now put their little ones in day care for a few hours or 1 day a week to assist with social skills. Leila has been going to day care since she was 3 months old and she really loves it! She loves playing with other kids and they do so much structured activity so I feel it is a really good environment for her to develop social and behavioural skills.
DM yes I will get some paid maternity leave in this job which is better than my last job where i got nothing!!
Liz it's hard when you are trying to find a new job. I had been looking for a while and I was starting to get really disheartened as I wasn't having much success - DH kept telling me to stay positive and that something was just around the corner and eventually the right opportunity came up and I'm glad it took a while as I feel like this is definitely the right job for me where as others I had applied for were probably not as well suited. So hang in there, I know it's tough but the right opportunity will present itself!
Well Leila helped me with the washing this morning - she helps mummy with everything these days. So she was putting clothes into the machine and I left the room to grab a few other things, came back and we turned the machine on..... When the wash had finished I opened the machine and realised that Leila had put one of her books in the wash!!!!! I guess she thought it was dirty...
Awwww Fi that's such a cute story!
I have just come home to a little boy with a vomiting bug. So sad seeing him vomit, I can tell he doesn't understand what's happening cos he just keeps looking at me with sad little eyes. He's napping ATM so hopefully it will help him a bit.
