Babies born~October 1st-15th 2008 #9

Moi - i think everyone has those worries with CC, not sure how i will be once it comes the time to put A & Z into CC, i think i will go back to atleast part time work within the next year, maybe something 1 or 2 days a week.. not sure though, will need to to help out with the house payments.
I am not sure whats going on with these kids but i'm hoping it's teeth.

teruteru - i hope everything sorts itself out ASAP, it's horrible when things don't go to plan.
Our house was meant to settle on the 12th but someone stuff the FHOG paperwork which delayed it, was meant to be today but wasn't done right again so now we have to pay penalties... DP CRACKED it as the broker filled the docs and says we shouldn't have to pay cos she stuffed up... lets see what happens...i will :crossfingers: for both of us!

Ava has been psycho AGAIN today, rolling round on the floor sooking, leave a room she sooks.. the only time she seems remotely happy is outside.
DP took her for a drive to bunnings and she was happy but then went funny again when they got home.
Zara and i went to safeway and she SCREAMED when we left and for about 20min, i could hear her when i called DP about tea, then she was asleep when i got home :doh: now she will be up late.
Was naughty and gave her a tiny bit of ice cream and now she's bouncing off the walls... :rofl: maybe it numbed her teeth aswell?

Well best be off.. am trying to limit my comp time a day to morning and night.. so checking here and FB...

well after the ED scared the bejeesus out of us with the very quick MRI - good news. I've got the all-clear. I also got bloods testing everything else under the sun, all fine, AND confirmed that my HCG levels are just where they should be :dance:
My poor husband is a nervous wreck having spent 24hrs worrying about losing me and bub - as he put it, the only things they could find were VERY bad (tumours, mini strokes etc), so we're just so relieved, and as the ED doc said that's why it had to be checked so urgently given the PG.

So I've been given strict instructions of what to do if it happens again (they're saying it's just a weird kinda migraine), but i'm not supposed to go catching the train on my own next time when I can't see or speak properly! (seems obvious in retrospect lol :doh:).

Maya is.... walking!!! :dance: I've known for ages that she could walk but she's just been so scared to try on her own. Then yesterday she took off on her own a couple of times and today we went to my niece's 2nd birthday and I think watching the other kids gave her the encouragement she finally needed. Now she's loving walking around on her own. :) Though she still needs help to get back up but a few times today she got up all on her own. I know she'll be happier walking around on her own. She doesn't like to sit still at all and now she doesn't have to rely on someone to help her get around. (Plus my back will be happier ;)

Belfie - So glad to hear everything is OK. Still scary when they can't work out exactly what was wrong though. Hopefully it won't ever happen again. :crossfingers:

Zarava - I hope Ava was a happier girl today.

oooh Tanya! How exciting! Clearly M & X have been talking, cos he's started walking heaps too - just on friday! He was walking over a dozen steps in a go... but he's still dropping back down to his knees more often than I'd like... but I think he's nearly there. We've gotta come see you to finish the job off!

Zarava - hope everything is going well and Miss Ava is settling down. Miss Zara looks sooo cute and little (I always forget how little newborns are compared to the hulking great toddlers we seem to have now!)

A has settled down a bit, still quite sooky and today she doesn't seem herself, looks a little drawn in the face and looks like she's getting a runny nose :wall: but otherwise she has been ok. Think it's a combination of teeth, having everyone here before Z was born and now having Z home.

As i said A has been a bit off but she still cracks me up, she's RUNNING everywhere you go to follow her and she takes off like a rocket.
She's not having bottles AT ALL anymore, she wont even take milk at night now, she has milk in a sippy cup with breakfast.
She's copying a lot of words at the moment but not saying them regularly she said careful the other day, still yells at the dogs but it's progressed to Jack, Cass GET HERE!
She's association Daddy with DP and asks him things, also if he comes home i say Daddy's home she runs to the doors, points and yells DADDY!

So far i am going well with the 2 lil ones, am managing quite well so far i think, they don't seem to overlap yet in needing my attention so quite often i can feed A, then give Z a feed then put A to bed etc etc... i feel GREAT.

Still waiting on this house to settle, stupid banks and stupid broker (she stuffed some paperwork) so HOPEFULLY we settle soon.. then we can be broke! :shhh:

Well best be off... have washing to fold.. have already done 2 loads, done the dishes, washed another load etc etc... ah the joys.. hope all are well.

belfie - I'm definitely loving seeing M toddling along. :) She's so much happier now too. :dance:

Zarava - Yep my back is loving me at the moment, now that I don't have to bend over all the time with M!! I've been doing OK health wise, which is good. Still very worried about having more attacks though. Glad to hear you are managing with two little ones and that everything is going well.

A quick little vent from me - my DH was fixing something last night on the dining table and now the table is covered in very obvious scratches everywhere. NOT HAPPY! Why are men so dumb and clueless sometimes? I don't even know what he was doing to cause so many deep scratches all over the table! :rolleyes:

M is doing well now that she can walk. She's happier and I'm happier. I can now get some things done while she's up, whereas before I had to be with her ALL THE TIME holding her hand.

Tomorrow she goes into CC for half a day. I'm really nervous about it and feeling sad. I hope she'll be happy there! And I can't believe I go back to work next week. Eeeeek.

Moi - they're so cute toddling along, aren't they! X is still walking very intermittently - drops to his knees all the time still... but when he's distracted he'll forget, and walk lol. GL with CC tomorrow, I hope it goes well.

We're doing ok. I'm feeling a little off, not sure if it's the same as last week or just standard PG stuff, so just taking it easy. I even finally got the guts up to do a PG ticker lol. I was too nervous before (or in denial haha).
X is in his 3rd week of going to FDC and still loving it. I'm just hoping that doesn't change!

BELFIE - Things are ok... Nothing happening in the TTC thing. Just waiting for my FS appointment in March. Woohoo for the pg ticker. How exciting

MOI - I hope M's 1/2 day works out perfectly today

ZARAVA - Sounds like you've got everything under control. Good on you. A is doing everything BJ does. Particularly when Daddy comes home. BJ does the same thing. Same as the talking. He will copy everything you say, but only actually says about 15 - 20 words

TERU - How's your TTC journey going?

I took BJ to the GP the other day as he has had this rashy looking thing on his legs & cheeks for as long as I can remember. I never took him earlier as it doesn't bother him at all, it's just there. But seeming I was going to the GP anyway, I got her to look at it & she reckons it's a type of eczema related to a food allergy. She has suggested I first cut out milk & see what happens, then if that doesn't work, cut out wheat then etc etc.... The only thing I am a little confused about is whether she means Milk or Lactose. She did write down milk on the list of things to cut out. I don't think he likes the soy cause out of his 3 usual milk feeds, yesterday he only had 1/2 of one. Plus, the night before, he vomitted half way through a bottle before bed. Not sure what that was about. His rash seems to be clearing up but I wonder if it's cause we're now using QV soap plus moisturising with Sorbelene cream. BELFIE & TERU what do you think of it? I know your boys have skin issues

My mum is up from Sydney for a week. BJ doesn't know her at all as he's hardly ever spent any time with her. It's so funny to see him playing around & being crazy like he is. Mum just laughs at him all day long. It's great that he's showing his true personality to her. He is such a character

I went to my GP the other day about my bummer cycles & she's given me a refferal to my Ob/Gyno who is a Fertility Specialist. I can't get in to see him till March so am hoping the vitex & B6 will do the job until then & I won't need to see him. But I doubt it. So I'm not expecting to be able to announce any pg news till at least mid year. I am really hoping it will happen by May

georgi: what is your usual bathing routine with BJ? our countless visits to different people have told us that eczema is caused by dryness of the skin so QV oil in baths is good and sorbolene would help keep retain the moisture. allergies could have a part in the rash but has he always been on milk? Sometimes its a hit&miss and you never know the real answer. even allergy tests can be inaccuate as theres no tests for intolerances which may cause rashy symptoms. keep up with what you think works and hopefully that'll fix it! Oh and with eczema, it tends to flare up more when bub is sick/weaker as the body is busy fighting off the 'new' sickness so have you ever noticed any difference at those times?

TTC: my AF just finished, so mebbe this month we'll get lucky?!

:hello: everyone, we're still busy setting up the factory. we're just starting now as we had MAJOR issue with the premises we wanted as the agent is a PITA!!! we've since found another factory to settle down in...here comes the hard work...

TERU - Wow, thanks for that. That has certainly helped. We have just started using the QV wash (he showers with DH at night) & moisturising with Sorbelene. It seems to have cleared up a little so we are thinking that's all it is. I might get some QV moisturiser if they have such a thing. It looks like we're cycle buddies... I'm on CD 11, though my cycles are quite long. Last month I O'd on CD 28. Hoping it won't be so late this month, not that I think there's a chance of me getting UTD anyway!

BJ hates the Soy milk & refuses to drink it. After he vomitted the other night ,I guess it has put him off it (which is fair enough, I was put off bourbon after a bad experience lol). We are gonna slowly mix the soy into his cows milk & gradually do it that way. If we see improvement then while that's happening then maybe it's just the moisturising that's needed. Anyway.. We'll see how we go.

hey Georgi - yeah i'm biased to food allergies cos that was the problem in our case. I found a big difference in his skin once I cut out the foods, and even traces of egg definitely flares his skin up. I think what you're doing with the gradual intro of the soy is a good idea. Also, regarding the lactose free milk, you can keep the milk out for so many weeks (how many did she suggest) and then bring in a lactose free milk to see if you get a reaction, then finally the normal milk. If he is reacting to either, you should see it flare up. Tbh with us, i haven't noticed a huge difference if X is sick with other things - probably temperature seems to make the other big difference. We also bath with QV and moisturize with sorbolene. GL with it.

My DH had to take X for the day yesterday (once off we had to miss FDC). Anyway, X had a really grumpy whiney whingey day... and DH was soooo glad when I got home. I love it when DH's get insight into the frustrations that can happen with a toddler lol!

:hello: everyone else.

So M had her half day at CC yesterday. I was so nervous, especially about saying goodbye, but she didn't even seem to notice me going cos she was busy playing. So I left and I couldn't help worrying that she'd notice I'd left and start crying. Then later I get a call to say that M ate all of her lunch and slept for 45 minutes, which they reckon is very good for a first time and it's more than I was expecting. She hadn't been crying at all and was happy playing. When it came time to pick her up I walked in and I could here her crying. Not because she saw me. They don't know why. So that put a bummer on the whole thing. I was wondering if she finally noticed I was gone and had had enough? When she saw me she cried harder and ran to me!

At home she was clingier than usual but seemed fine. Then last night at 1.30am she woke SCREAMING! :( My DH heard and went to her. I woke about 2am and I could here her crying. She finally settled back down about 2.30am, so I have no idea what that was all about! Was it cos she'd been at child care? Teeth? Heat? She always sleeps through and never wakes and cries so that really was very very unusual.

Then today she has been so grumpy and unhappy and throwing tantrums. :( So now I am feeling more guilty about CC thinking it's cos I took her there yesterday. I was gonna take her back again today but couldn't do it with her being so unhappy.

Awwww MOI - Sorry I can't be of comfort as I don't have the CC experience. But a big hug to you. It must be heartbreaking for you. I'm sure it's all very normal & M will get use to it. I know a friend of mine said her LO was very clingy when he first started CC. I hope she sleeps better tonight. It may have been a once off thing. BJ woke the other week, at 3am. He NEVER wakes during the night. Luckily it didn't take much for him to go back to sleep. Perhaps it was a co incidence that she woke the same night as CC

BELFIE - The Dr didn't say how long to try it for. I guess we'll just wing it. As for the cheek rash/pimple thing... BJ has EXACTLY the same. That's also what is on his legs. That's what the Dr said was a food allergy :dunno:

Does anyone elses toddlers get a temp when they're teething? My poor lil fella has been fighting a temperature all day. I can't see anything wrong with him, other than the two top molars that have just cut through. I just noticed them this morning. My sister said one of her three girls use to get temps when teething. He won't eat anything, except a scotch finger biscuit :hide: He won't even drink his milk. Even the cows milk. Thankfully he has been drinking water though. I'm pretty sure it's his teeth. We're gonna take him to the Docs tomorrow just in case. Have to make sure he doesn't have an ear or throat infection.

The house was meant to settle last week.. DIDN'T then was meant to settle today and NO NOT AGAIN! :cry:
I am so so over it, they now say that 1 document DP's sigmature isn't the same as another, surely we pay these ppl (conveyancer & broker) to pick this S**T up BEFORE the day of settlement, i mean really.
It's already cost us an extra $2000 as the bank stuffed stuff up the 1st time we were meant to settle (and couldn't) so they charged US fees and also stamp duty went up from 12,000 to 14,000 and no-one told us... :wall:

Poor Ava has not been herself for about a week now, she's constantly sooking and is no where near my happy little girl, i am fairly certain it's her teeth cos she's pulling at her ears and it's not just when we are paying Zara attention etc.. or maybe it's just the age?
I just don't know, it's so damn hard.
Have a birthday tomorrow at a play centre so hopefully it will take her mind off things and she can go and have some fun.

Hi girlies .... just passing through ....

Sounds like everyone is travelling fairly well coping with the ups and downs of having little ones and all the guessing that goes along with them. I made Z's 18 months chicken pox appointment the other day and couldnt believe it would be here so soon!

We have been doing nothing overly exciting for the past 2 weeks - just settling into our house and swimming every day except for one - it has been absolutely glorious. No timeframes, nothing to do - we are all so happy and content here ...

Z is such a cutie pie, he just adores his big brother, who turns 7 in 8 days :) He is sleeping fairly well but if sleep is a bit light on during the day due to social stuff, he copes really well. So nice not having to worry about a bottle with him either (sorry girls - just different for me this time around!) - his last feed was 15/12 and he hasn't seemed to miss it at all. He is walking a few steps, but still prefers the fast crawl if he is to get to something ahead of his brother and sister! He loves throwing everything into the pool, even himself at times :rofl:

DS1 is having grommets put in on Thursday so he is sad he can't swim for 2 weeks LOL. He has grown up so much these holidays, or maybe cos Ihave spent so much time just hanging out with them, brings a tear to my eye - I love all my kids so much. :rolleyes:

BJ's fever has thankfully gone. But he is absolutely FERRAL! Just whinging & crying at nothing. He fully threw a tantrum this morning after he woke up, for NOTHING. Just worked himself up & started thrashing his teddy around. I ended up giving him nurofen. It can only be his teeth. He slept for 12 hours last night so can't be tired. He's really off his food & milk too. Gosh, I hope he gets back to himself soon.

I'm back to work tomorrow!! Eeeek! I hope the Meniere's attacks stay away. That's my biggest fear - that I will have an attack on the way to, from or at work!

Poor Maya has a horrible cold - runny nose, cough, vomit, miserable. :( (Which explains her tantrums and horrible mood over the last few days!!) But I can't take my first day off work, so DH is going to stay home with her tomorrow and she'll have to miss her first day at CC.

AFM had my GP appointment today, have all my blood tests, obs referral and a scan, woo hoo! Am thinking I'll go next week for a sneak peek, I'm very excited. Was gonna try wait till 8 weeks but I don't think I'm patient enuff. It was at this point last time I got spotting, and I've had none so far *touch wood*.

X is going well, am loving his walking. Thanks for the ideas about the rash, I keep meaning to google it too, doesn't seem to bother him, just doesn't look very nice. But his skin otherwise is great. He was so cute tonight, in his room shortly before bed he grabs his comfort toy (a lion) and puts it down and then oh-so-slowly lay his little head down on it and curled up on the ground. Both DH and I were there, and seriously we just about melted, it was the most adorable thing ever. So then of course we did the sensible thing and put him to bed lol!

MOI - Good luck at work. I hope you don''t miss M too much

BELFIE - Yeah, BJ is a real character though he doesn't show it much outside the home. He's very shy & quiet around people. Yay for the scan & referrals. How exciting. I'm glad you keep us informed here as I can't be stalking your belly buddies group. That'd be too much :lol:

Poor lil BJ has been absolute FERAL for days... And now I know why.... He's cut another tooth up top, plus those two top molars, plus his two bottom molars are just about to cut. Thank god he's not hitting the terrible two's like I was begining to think. He was much better today, just got clingy & whingy tonight, but the rest of the day he was his usual happy self - phew!

Too him to another GP on Monday who prescribed cortisone cream for his rashy thing, but the pharmacists looked at it and said that it looks like a food allergy :doh: I just can't get him to drink the soy milk. Not sure what i'll do. Am quietly hoping the cortisone will do the trick, though it hasn't helped thus far

I'm having a book party at my place tomorrow to help raise money for the mothers milk bank. Seemings I can't donate any milk at present I thought I could help in some way. Only got 5 or 6 people coming though. Ah well, everything counts

AFM - well have been good and getting out and about, took the girls to the park yesterday (alone as DP's working 7 days) and actually found it quite easy, had Z in the baby carrier and she slept the whole time even when A and i were climbing stairs and slides :rofl: also took them shopping today by myself same deal Z in the carrier and A in the trolley.
Have been keeping on top of the housework and i actually feel quite good about it all :dance:

Oh and good news... THE HOUSE FINALLY SETTLED :dance: on thurs or Friday last week i think it was, so we got the keys, took the girls out and took some pics (on FB).
Shouted A to some KFC while we were there :redface: but she loved it, checked out her room etc.
We have decided we are painting etc first then will prob move around easter or just after and we are going to transition Ava straight into a big bed :pray: and Z into the cot, i figure maybe we can do the new house, new room, new bed thing ??????????

I am now down to 96.3kg and am loving it... the 1st and only time they weighed me during PG i was 102kg and that was about 16wks i think so i def put on more... so close enough to 10kg (guessing) in 3wks post bub! :p
Now to keep it off and loose some more so i can stay fit n healthy for my girls.

Well best be off... waiting for Z to wake and as you all know i'm sure she will prob sleep longer than normal now... hehe :doh:

Well V has finally taken some steps for the first time yesterday unaided. Approx 3-4steps, but woohoo. Kept doing it all day. She is most pleased with herself as are we. So I would expect that she will be walking pretty well come her next appt with the pead, which I cant wait to show him how far she is coming. She just needed that nudge to get her started and gain enough to make those steps without the walker. She runs with her push along walker it is so funny. It worries me sometimes with how she runs and spins around the corner with it. :dance:
Now I was just thinking, I bet you thoguht I was going to say I am UTD again, :shakehead: lol, no such luck from my end unfortunately. Dont think I will get that ever again, especially if DH has anything to do with it. lol.

CSAB - Lol, I was hoping you would say you were UTD. Thanks for the well wishes though there's not alot happening in that department. I have my FS appointment on March 3rd so hoping to get my BFP in March sometime. According to the chinese birth chart, if I conceive in Feb it'll be a boy so I'm not gonna be trying too hard this month tee hee. That's fantastic that V is walking. I bet she just booms from here. Those first few steps are the hardest but then they just go for it. I bet she looks so cute walking. Like a walking doll. How's her weight? I'm sure the Paed will be so proud. It seems like you've been busy, me too. Things will settle in the next couple of weeks so hopefully we can catch up then

ZARAVA - The book party went surprisingly well. Made $500 worth of sales so I was pleased with that. Plus, it was great to catch up with the girls & have some champers! We had a nice time. Yay on the settlement of your house. Finally! Congratulations. Sounds like you're doing a fab job with the two littlies. Good on you. Glad it's all working out for you

AFM - Thankfully BJ is back to his happy self again. Eating & lauging like ususal. Those teeth are horrible things!

Not much to report on the TTC thing, unfortunately. As mentioned to CSAB, just waiting till my FS appointment before things will start happening.

We are heading to the Sunshine Coast for 5 days, from this Saturday. I'm looking so forward to it. We haven't had a proper holiday since BJ was 8 weeks old, and even then, it wasn't a holiday as he just slept the whole time so I was confined to a caravan. We have booked a lovely resort with pool, tennis court etc . It's right across the road from Coolum beach. Views from every room. Can't wait!

I forgot to mention that I finally got my life membership with Weight Watchers. I hit goal weight & maintained it for the 6weeks. So now I am cutting back on my exercise hoping it will help with TTC.

BJ is learning more & more words every day. He has a huge vocabulary now. I can't believe how many words he can say. Where's my baby gone??????? He's so not a baby anymore. I can't believe what a little boy he is now. Gees, it's gone too fast!

Georgi - Hehehe, goodluck for the month after Feb, thats if the chinese chart says girl, lol. Have a great time away. I have sent you a video of V taking some steps. So cute. I definately wont be able to stop her now that she has started.lol. hugs

AFM.....we have an appointment with our FS on the 18th March...and hopefully starting IVF in Jul/August :D and i have lost 3.3kgs :) on my way to baby body!!!!

How is everyone else, it's been quiet in here.. guess we are all busy chasing the lil ones around, they are so active now.

AFM - Ava has all 4 molars moving at once, her poor cheeks and ears, she is so irritable the poor little thing.
I got her thrown on the scales at Z's weigh in last week and she's only just 9.4kg (with clothes) so i can't wait until her 16mth MCHN appt, she has grown and put on weight she was only 8.3kg at her 12mth appt, i guess it's because she is so active.. cos god knows she eats HEAPS... :rofl:
Well i have one full on child on my hands and shes a CLIMBER.. putting washing out the other day, turn around and she had climbed INTO THE TRAMPOLINE!
If anyone has seen pics on FB it's HUGE about 4ft off the ground with only 2 steps on the ladder, so suffice to say we have taken the ladder off so she can't get in as she knows how to open the net to get out but don't think she would manage to get down.

I asked the MCHN about her speaking as she copies EVERYTHING including and has even copied small sentences when we call our dogs, she now yells at them "JACK, CASS, GET HERE" or "JACK, CASS, SIT DOWN".. the MCHN said most kids don't put together 2 words (ie both dogs names) until about 18mths and normally sentences take some time after that... i'm not sure if i should continue to encourage her to form these words better? about 2/5 times the words are CLEAR, jack and cass are always clear but the others are not always so well formed.

Well i am trying to loose weight, am all about staying fit for my girls at the moment so am doing a food diary for a week to SHAME myself into eating healthier... lol but so far i think i have lost over 10kg as the last time i was weighed while PG i was 102kg and that was at about 16wks.. so i KNOW i put on more.. but in my ticker i am using this figure as it's the last KNOWN... so wish me luck!

Also i am hading to QLD for 2 nights next month for a wedding, i am taking Z and leaving A with DP... we can't really afford it but ppl are giving me cash for my birthday in 2 wks... so :hooray: i'm getting a tiny tiny holiday!

Hi to everyone else. As for us, well it's been eventful. Had my first scan last weds (6 wks 3 days) I was impatient, but happy I did, all looking good with a little heartbeat of 111 yay :loveshower: meant to post earlier but have been soooo busy. Flew out to Tassie on Thurs (for my twin bro's wedding). Before the plane even takes off, X vomits all over me... and I mean covered - from shoulder to thigh. The looks I got from the other passengers as we walked to the toilet... :redface:. We delayed the plane taking off because they were still helping us to clean up lol. The guy who was meant to be sitting next to us got upgrated to business (he was appreciative) and he even lent me some waterproof pants to wear! How nice is that hey! (I did have a spare top)... and I'm thinking great, here I am pg and with m/s sitting covered in vomit for an hour.. .yech. Luckily was ok. Then 3 days later I copped the gastro myself with interest. Vomited steadily for 24 hours, I can't remember the last time I felt so bad. And of course, my bro's wedding was in the middle of it! Managed to make it to the ceremony but little else... and still had to "yawn" on the way home in the car :wall::wall::wall:. Thank goodness it finally cleared up, and now we're home and just knackered. And suddenly my m/s doesn't seem so bad in comparison to vomiting constantly!! Silver lining huh. Oh and I get to see my little bubba again on the 25th of Feb at my first obs visit - can't wait.

Just a quick post... wish us luck ladies we have A's allergist appt today, my poor baby girl is going to be poked and prodded and fed for 4hrs at the RCH today.
A toddler and a newborn in a hosp for 4hrs, lets hope they are on time, the appt is at 1pm we have to be there 4hrs PLUS possibly an hour to make sure no further reactions, which means i wont be leaving the hospital until 6pm and then making the hr trip home.

Ava is not allowed to eat lunch as they want her hungry so they can do the food challenge, we might have to go sign docs straight after as the block might be SOLD :dance: so i think as a treat she might be getting McDonalds as we leave the hospital so she doesn't starve!

Atleast i can keep her awake until we leave for the appt and she gets to nap in the car on the way there, but i think she will be VERY grumpy with her sore teeth and being awake so long by the time we leave.

Zarava - I'm so glad to hear that A seems to have grown out of her egg allergy and that you survived the appt (dunno how you did it!). We just got back from ours... unfortunately his reactions were even bigger this time, some had more than doubled, so still no eggs and treenuts for my little man. Apparently he's got a very good chance of growing out of the egg allergy - it's just a question of how long it takes. Could be by the time he's 3 or 4... or 10 or 12 years old! And only 15-20% grow out of treenut allergies, so fingers crossed he'll be one of the lucky ones. We still don't know what reaction he'd get, but as the doc said, with welts the size his came up, there'd definitely be some sort of reaction and we don't want to know what it is. We still don't get an epi-pen as he doesn't meet the criteria (i.e. hasn't had an anaphylactic reaction - or if he was older or had asthma he'd get the pen). Unfortunately he also had a borderline reaction to sesame, so we have to go back in for a food challenge to see how he reacts to it (and no sesame till then). Apart from that, he threw his biggest ever tantrum BEFORE the tests... then was good as gold for the rest of the time, even during the skinpr!ck tests. I was so proud of him.

Apart from that, not much intersting. Oh the allergy doc didn't even know what the rash is on his cheeks, so we're just gonna leave it, as it doesn't bother him at all.

Ava survived the skin *****s and food challenge, she came up all clear which was GREAT but i still have to give the poor girl RAW EGG WHITES for a couple of days then slowly introduce cooked yolk then fully cooked egg.
She SCREAMED for the skin ***** test and then at the end of like 4.5hrs at the hosp she had to have a blood test, i am so so proud of my little girl!
She screamed for the blood test but was very upset when i had to take her winnie the pooh bandaid off... lol

Took her to the play centre today with a friend to keep her mind off the teething, all 4 molars are still moving and the poor girls gums look so big!
It was also to keep my mind off things, it's the anniversary of my brothers death today.. he passed of sids when i was little, A was the same age at the same time last yr and i was a wreck, so so paranoid.. i'm a little better this time round with Z though.

Hope everyone is well.. best be off for some sleep, Z's been a little restless when i go to bed, just had to cuddle her in my bed then tuck a shirt under her... not sure if it's that or that she's that buggered that kept her asleep longer than 5min.

X only had the skinpr!cks yesterday, and we have to go back in for the food challenge (given the sesame is a new reaction that showed up). Dunno how long we'll have to wait for that, apparently it might be a while. They refuse to do food challenges on the eggs or nuts cos they think his reaction would be too big and there's no point sensitising his immune system to them any more than it already is. Luckily he didn't have to have a blood test, poor little A, that would have been nasty for her. GL with giving the raw egg whites, yech! Do you have to hide in food or a drink or something?

Re teeth, I've just discovered both X's upper eye-teeth are through - they snuck through without me realising lol. My DH is in the dog-house cos he played basketball and overdid it (MEN!) so his back is a bit dodgy again... but hopefully will be right again very soon... but in the interim, I'm chief lifter again grrrrr. Lucky my back is nice & strong & well used to hefting Mr 11.7kgs. Needless to say with m/s and hormones I've made DH sorry he's ever even heard of basketball, much less played it! My PG is going along well, it's amazingly less stressful than last time thank goodness - by this time last time I'd already had spotting, bleeding, SCH & umbilical cyst... so this is sooo nice and cruisey with only the migraine & gastro :rofl:. Worst bit is that I'm showing heaps already have no idea how to keep it hidden at work... but I was exactly the same last time so it's no great surprise. I've been in mat pants since 6 weeks :wall::wall::wall:

BELFIE Had your DH ever thought of seeing a podiatrist for his feet? That could be the cause of all these back issues. I know when my shoes are worn out, I start getting a sore back & sore knees. Then I go & buy new, good supporting shoes & viola... all good. I have pro nated feet (feet roll inwards, collapsed arches) so I wear orthotics in my runners

Just a quickie from me. I'm heading to Sydney today for business. Will be without my internet for a week...eeeeek! And without DH. Just BJ & I as DH is working afternoon shift this week so we have no one up here to look after BJ. My sister & MIL are going to share the duties this week while i'm at the course. Finishing my Diploma in Financial Planning. Then have clients to see whilst down there. It's gonna be frantic. Looks like we'll miss the opportunity to TTC this month as I haven't O'd yet and am guessing it'll happen this week :wall: Looking forward to my FS appointment on March 2nd

BJ still has that rash thing all over him. In fact, it appears to be getting worse. He's drinking the soy milk now, but now I'm gonna have to cut lactose out as well & see if that helps. I think I'll get a referral to get the allergy tests done too. It would save me alot of dramas trying to work out what it is.

belfie - Great to hear the PG is going well. With everyone getting PG around me I've started dreaming that I am PG! It's made me realise how much I do want another little one. But think it'll still have to wait till next year cos I'd have to get myself off the meds. Sorry to hear that X's allergies are even worse now. Here's hoping he does grow out of them.

Zarava - Poor Ava going through all those tests but what a brave girl she is. And good to hear that she seems to have grown out of her allergies. I've been so paranoid with giving M nuts but finally gave her some recently and she was fine. So it looks like M doesn't have any allergies which is a relief. :) So sorry about your brother and I can imagine how worried you must have been when Ava was the same age. Such an awful thing to happen. :hug:

Hello to anyone I've missed. :hello: That's as far back as I can manage for now. I have been reading, just haven't had time to post. I'm back at work the two days but I have to do work other days too, which doesn't leave me as much time as before. Plus M keeps refusing to have her second nap. :wall: Which leaves me a lot less time to do things.

M is doing well. She still throws tantrums but not as badly as when she was sick with a cold. At first she seemed to like CC but now she cries if she thinks she's going there. :( She's not sleeping well there but she is eating well and she does play. But with the lack of sleep she's so tired and miserable at the end of the day and so clingy to me. Then she doesn't want to go to bed at night and screams. It's awful. And she even is afraid of her own dad now cos he's the one who takes her to CC, which makes poor DH very upset! I'm feeling so guilty about going back to work now.

But saying that I am enjoying being back at work and having that time out. I don't necessarily enjoy my job all the time, but I just enjoy the time away. Actually I feel like two days is a bit much for me right now, but I don't think they would have taken me on for only one day. I think having the two days in a row is very exhausting but at the same time I get them out of the way and then have five days in a row off. It's just hard also with all the extra work I have to do outside of work time, plus of course all the usual housework.

I did feel a bit off the first few days, but seem to be doing better with the travel and working again now. I think my body has to get used to it, especially with my illness. I have had a few times when I thought I might have been about to have an attack but luckily nothing happened. So I'm hoping I continue to be attack free!

M had a follow up paed appointment and he's really happy with her growth but does want to see her again in a few months. She now weighs 7.9 kgs, so not quite the 8 I was hoping for but nearly there. We have finally turned her car seat around though. I was hoping it would make her a better traveller but she STILL hates being in the car. :(

It's been so quiet in here, just popping in to see how everyone is, about to head to bed and hoping Z sleeps til about 4ish :crossfingers:

Well i have booked my 2 nights away in Hervey Bay, i am so so excited, i think it will be nice to be just Z and I and Ava will love being with daddy... he is taking her to moomba i think, his cousin is getting the presidential suite @ crown... :shhh: he will relax there with them aswell.

Ava is going well, she DOES NOT STOP, she is such a full on little girl and a climber, she climbed into the trampoline when i wasn't looking (never thought she could so didn't think about it), then the other day feeding Z i walk out and she is in the middle of the dining table :doh: she has figured out how to undo the child locks on the cupboard aswell. :wall:
She loves talking on the phone, she climbed onto the computer desk and hit redial and was talking to my mum, her fave thing at the moment is to says SHOES constantly and bring me her shoes, she also said LIGHT and pointed at the light.
She is getting quite good at knowing what we want from her, we ask her for iggle piggle and she finds him, same with mickey or upsy daisy, also if i ask her to get her drink... it amazes me how clever these little people are getting...
Her molars are still moving but not through yet... damn teeth

Well i hope everyone is well, i feel great and am enjoying being home with both girls, even if it does get a little full on at times.

Zarava - When are you going to Hervey Bay? I'm sure you'll have a great time there. :) Maya also loves talking on the phone. She's always pretending she's talking on the phone. She also loves showing everyone her shoes. She loves shoes. Typical woman! LOL Yeah I can't get over just how much they understand now! I can't wait till I can understand M some more.

I've had a tough couple of weeks. M is so much more clingy now that she is going to CC and is upset with her dad being anywhere near her (cos he's the one who drops her off). And I'm left feeling guilty for my poor DH who is so upset all the time cos M won't go near him and bawls if he's in sight. :( And M wants to be with me everywhere I go.

She is starting to sleep a bit longer at CC and having more settled periods there, so I'm hoping it won't be too much longer till she's happy there. It's just so hard with her crying any time DH goes near her. I then have two upset people to deal with a lot of the time.

On top of that I got a cold, which is never fun! But thankfully I'm nearly over it now.

By this time next week i will have spent my first night in Hervey Bay with Z :dance:
It's exciting but scary, our flight leaves at like 6 so poor DP and A have to be up extra early for a drive to drop Z and i off at the airport, told DP he should bring A in and let her see the planes but he said he's dropping us off and going back home to bed :rofl:

Does anyone elses child have an obsession with the toilet? A is insane, if ppl leave the door open she tries cleaning it with the toilet brush!
So we have lost 3 dummies to the toilet in the last 2 weeks as people just can't seem to figure out to shut the door behind them :doh: and at $13 for 2 i'm over it.
So she lost her last one yesterday, we THINK it went in the toilet although we couldn't see it, asked DP to get some on the way home from work as i was not dragging Z out in the heat just cos A was a PITA :rolleyes:
I got A to bed WITHOUT a dummy last night, no screaming, no arguing nothing.. could help she was awake from 11:30 in the morn til 8:00pm, i just gave her a bottle and a cuddle and off she went... she has not had night time milk since just after she was 1!
Then the poor girl woke at 12:00 with a temp of 39, gave nurofen, cold water and cold face cloth and in bed with us, temp was down with nurofen but back up to 38.8 this morn and i don't know why!
She had a tiny spew before bed last night but didn't seem out of sorts, her teeth have been sore but she has NEVER had this high a temp with teething.

Sorry bout my long post.... got her watching ITNG and hopign this temp stays down and making sure she keeps down food & fluids.. seems ok so far!

Hi all, long time no speak :D.

Well as most of you know I'm expecting number 6, it has been a big shock and am still getting use to the idea, I have my dating scan on Thursday this week so will know when this little one is due, I'm think end of Oct again.....which means I've got three kids birthday in one month and also have a Sept and Nov birthdays.......extremely busy time of the year for use.

Julian is getting so big now and is talking and trying to have convosations with anyone that will listen, I'm still b/fing him and am tossing up wether I'm going to tandem feed or not. It's weird only having two of the boys home now that school is back and I'll be having Cody starting Prep next year so it will only be Julian and the new baby home.

Zarava yep Julian loves washing stuff in the toilet and use the dunny brush as well as putting loo paper in there as well, oh the fasination with the toilet.

Ok off to do lunch for the hungry hoards, talk later.

Zarava - Ava might have a virus. Hopefully she'll get better soon. So your trip is next weekend? So exciting. :) I hope you have a great time. :)

:hello: to everyone else. Hope everyone is OK.

I've moved M to one nap a day cos I was struggling to get her to have her second nap anyway and she talked for an hour before going to sleep at her first nap time. Now I put her in bed an hour later every day and she sleeps for usually 2 hours, sometimes less sometimes more. Then I keep her up till bed time and she goes to bed now around 7-7.30 instead of 8-9pm. It also means she's up earlier at 7.30am which works better with day care. Though she still will sometimes sleep till 8-8.30 so I can have my sleep ins. :dance:

Sometimes she is quite grumpy towards the end of the day and probably does need a quick second nap sometimes, but I can't be bothered fighting with her and she prob won't sleep anyway!

M is getting more teeth including some back teeth now. :) She doesn't seem too fussed by them most of the time.

I had a dream last night that there was a BB ball and you all came in gorgeous dresses and we all met each other. :lol:
