Vix - hmmm i like the advice i get on here :) but i HATE it when my MIL tries to give 'advice' i think it could be the different ways people say things for example on here and other mums IRL offer advice and you can either take it or leave it, where as my MIL 'tells' me what i should be doing but tries to pass it off as advice. or she says things like 'i did this with my kids, you should give it a go' or 'you should be doing this' and when i get offended DF gets angry and tries to defend his mum :doh:

How do you feel about advice given to you by other Mums, be it they have one child or a few? Do you take on board what they say or forget it the moment the conversation is over? I know I can give advice but actually find it hard to sometimes to take my own advice! Silly huh?! Do you get offended?

I think it depends on who is offering and the mood you are in. Sometimes I just want to rant/vent to clear my head, so advice is the last thing I want. I usually like my mum's advice, but sometimes I just smile and nod and don't listen. My MIL doesn't give advice as such... she just tells me what everyone did wrong back when she was having kids.

The advice I like best is when people just share their experience without needing you to do the same thing as them.

I feel like I should call a wah-mbulance. Return to work is looming (1 month away) and every time I BF Zoe I think "your days of booby on tap are numbered". Boyfriend thinks I am being melodramatic, but it is really, really difficult to know that Z will be crying and I won't be there for her. He doesn't get it.

I am trying to be positive about going to work. It will be good to be able to support my family and everything, but still. Waaaaah!

As for me.
J and his mum were around last night and she has gone a bit overboard and starting asking for overnight visits. Starting from like tomorrow or next week. I told her she was dreaming.

Looks like I'll be going to see the lawyer a.s.a.p. and getting to round table mediation. I am sick of being so nice about it all, and don't want to get pushed into anything. And it is highly likely they will say no to overnights til he is 2 years old. When I was willing to work up to it possibly before that age, but if he wants to do it the hard way it is not my problem.

V polished off a whole jar of pear and banana for breakfast. LOL. little piggy. He squealed at the top of his lungs when I had a spoonful ( pretty sure he was telling me off for eating his food hahaha cheeky little monkey!).

As for healthy eating I did a lite n easy style meal plan and bought only what I need for the week. Cost me $106 and their meals would be like $128 or something so that's not too bad. I didn't eat anything last night because of the stress from J and his mum. So that's not a great start. But today I'll try my best.

meela - :hug: i thought i was ready to go back to work even just a few days a week and i got offered a job and everything but i turned them down haha i realised when i was offered it that im totally not ready yet and DF supports me 100% so i no how you feel. i think it will be good though coz you will be able to get out and your DP can spend sometime with Z and then when you are home you will appreciate her so much more and have loads of quality time. huge huge hugs but. i dont blame you for needing a wahh moment. :hug::hug:

Brydz - :hug: im so proud of you for standing your ground and being so strong. if anyone can get through all this BS with their head held high you can. well done babes. and WTG on the food planning. who needs lite and easy when you can eat the same stuff for $20 less. make sure you eat though, you need to look after yourself ok! always here if you need to chat/vent about J, his mum or life in general :hug: thats so cute about V getting angry when you eat his food hahah coopers the same and gives me evils when i eat it hahah its so yummy but

AFM - nm going on here, coops has been a tad grumpy the last few days but i think its beacuse hes gone from 3 weeks of having me mum and sis with him all the time so he was hardly getting floor time and when he did cry someone picked him up straight away to it just being the 2 of us again and i let him grumble until he really cries. he has been a trooper with his eating and sleeping but. he eats soooo much food and then seems like he wants more. ive been giving him a 180ml bottle then 20-30 mins later i give him solids which he scofs down the lot and then has another 120ml bottle hahah little piggy. and now when hes tired we just put him in his portacot in the lounge room or his cot and he squirms for 2 minutes and falls asleep :) its glorious. hes asleep right now so better dash and have some lunch.

Hello lovelies!

My apologies in advance for the rant/vent.... and I'm sorry that I have been MIA, but have had a real rough few days with Noah this week and feeling a bit sad, down, stressed and emotional! :crying:

I have been reading everyone's posts but just haven't had time to come do persies as Noah has been so clingy and hardly sleeping during the day. It's very frustrating as I haven't done ANYTHING, I have a tonne of washing, the house hasn't been vacuumed or mopped for nearly a week and the dishes gets done when I get time during the day (if I even do) otherwise DH does them. Have been flying solo most of the time as DH leaves at 5am and doesn't get home til around 6:30pm-7:00pm which means I have no time to do anything or have any time for myself. Noah usually goes to bed just as DH shows up at home and then I usually start making dinner, have dinner, have a shower, a cuppa tea and then fall in bed dead exhausted...only to start my day similar to the day before again the next morning.

I actually had a pretty good day yesterday as Noah and I went to my Mummies group and it was lovely to get out and about and to chat with the other Mummies and have some adult conversation. I live for my fortnightly Wednesday catchups with them. :dance: Noah also slept pretty well during the day yesterday, but we had a crappy night last night, well I did. He went to sleep at 6:45pm and slept til 2:30am, but I couldn't sleep and didn't fall asleep until nearly midnight. Woke up when he did and then we woke nearly every 1.5hours (think he was hot and just not wanting to settle) and by 6am this morning didn't want to sleep anymore. He had a 30 minute nap this morning, an hour nap around lunch time and then had a 25 minute nap this arvo, so who knows what his sleep will be like tonight.

Sorry for my rant/vent, but I feel better for getting it off my chest. Thanks Vix for your lovely and sweet message, really appreciate you thinking of me! Hope you're doing ok. I'm thinking of you too! :hug:
