raffy My little lady is Zoe. I shared a hospital room with a lady who had her baby on 10/10/10 - lucky day! Her baby was literally half the size of mine!
meela - ohh i love the name Zoe :) haha yeh i had another lady who birthed on the same day and one lady with a premmie and cooper was a monster compared to her lol how big was Zoe when she was born?
raffy, she was 3.9kg. The lady next to me had a 2kg baby who came out with ONE PUSH! Jealous! On the other hand, she had a time of it TTC, so I guess we are both lucky in different ways. I just looked at my boyfriend on the day I stopped taking the pill :P
pretz - Zoe i now 8.1kg - double the baby!
Raffy - Thanks honey. I'm glad that I'm on the mend too, it sucks to not feel well, especially when you can't stop and really relax as you have to keep going for your baby! lol Thanks  I too hope that all goes well when time comes around for DTD and practising for TTC! lol Sorry to hear that AF is being a b*tch and messing around with ya, but whoohoo on perhaps being belly buddies again!! I think we have all called our bubs a devil child because of the way they can be clingy/whingy/cranky. I had one last night too, he didn't sleep a wink from 00:15 til 03:00 and was awake again from 5:45am so I am exhausted today, feel like a walking zombie.... zzzzzzz
Sparkles - Sorry to hear that Ty has been fussy this week. I hope he gets back to his normal, happy self for you soon. How exciting that you're going to TTC again soon too! I wish you well when the time comes! I really reckon there is a HUGE growth spurt at 4 months, well I think that is what it was with Noah because I really and literally felt like all I did once he hit 4 months was just feed him constantly, just like a cow being milked from morning to noon to night to morning again! lol
Meela - Love your little girl's name. How big was Zoe when she was born? My little boy Noah was 8pd 13oz (4.03kg) at birth and when I weighed him 2 and 1/2 weeks ago he was 7.35kg so I'm guessing he has nearly or possibly doubled his birth weight by now too! :) Is Zoe your first bub or do you have other kids too? Are you a SAHM or are you on maternity leave and possibly returning to work at some stage? (Sorry for all the questions) hehe
Nikki, Vix, Brydz - Hope you're all doing well! Thinking of you all!
AFM, Noah had a feed, a bath, another feed and then fell asleep at 5:45pm and is still asleep so I'm hoping he will sleep well tonight. I should probably get my butt off the pc and have a nice relaxing bath and head towards bed too so I can catch up on sleep before he wakes again and decides that it's playtime in the morning hours...... that he doesn't want to play and chat and babble again that early for 3 hours though!!
Hope you all have a lovely evening/night!
Love ya's!
xoxox
pretz - Zoe is now 8.1kg - double the baby!
Zoe is my 1st (I want to have 3).
I'm on mat leave, due back in April. Work is probably the last place I want to be, but my boyfriend is geared up for his 6 months being a SAHD.
Welcome MEELA! Zoe is a nice name. hahahaha I just happened to 'look at' a total stranger one night when I had a wee bit too much to drink. OOPS!
I'm brydz, single mummy to a very handsome young man (if I say so myself) named Vincent.
hi all might leave other personals til tomorrow as I'm pretty tired.
afm
today we visited J at his place again. Was going to leave V with him for an hour and go to my sisters but she had her tafe grad night so I had nowhere to go, and then V was being a little cranky bum so I ended up just staying there with him.
OMG talk about an ongoing saga. J showed me a letter he got today from BDM. apparently because we are still 'in dispute' over the name he has been registered as just plain Vincent, with no middle name at all.
Be nice if they sent ME a copy of such information (considering I'm the one who's already paid for the birth certificate).
According to J and his mother, he received a letter to say that I'd agreed to Vincent James Leo and it was the first he'd heard of it.
Yet I got a letter about 2 weeks back saying that J himself had suggested that and I could either agree, or disagree and it would be just plain Vincent. SO I agreed.
Either the BDM lady tried to trick us into agreeing.
Or he and his mother are lying to me (again).
and then, hahaha the cheek of her, when J left the room she said "i personally liked Vincent Eli better'
WTF? she was the one who talked him out of it, and I'm certain of that. what a weirdo.
anyway he now is just plain old Vincent, so I'll have to change my sig for the 100th time haha. Guess I still win cos I don't get to settle for stupid Leo! :) LOL
I'm off to bed. nighty night.
meela - nice, cooper was 3.76kg, not to shabby, and yes we just had to look at eachother and BAM pregnant  wowzers 8.1kg thats a very healthy little miss you have there, well done. are you breast feeding or formula? coops is on formula now but i breastfed for 10 weeks, wish i could have gone longer but the universe had other ideas lol. where abouts do you work? and thats awesome your DP is gonna be a SAHD!! i think more men should do it if they can
Pretz - keeping all my fingers and toes crossed Noah sleeps well for you tonight, at least hes happy at that time, Cooper screams his lungs out. enjoy your bath
Brydz - thats so crap about Vs name... again. at least its just the middle name and they arent disputing his first name, after all when is your middle name ever used other that offical documents. that shes messing with you again, what a poohead.
AFM - eeeep got a phone call from the lady at the child care centre that i sent a resume to, i missed the call :duh: but she left a message saying she wont be in the office til next monday but to call her then and we'll organise a time for me to 'look around' so that sounds really positive and if i call her first thing on monday i could even go out to the RAAF base where the centre is and see her then, so fingers crossed ill have a job soon :happydance:
soooooo we tried controlled crying, didnt let him cry longer than 5 mins without reassuring him that i was still there by kissing him and patting his bum and it only took 45 mins (which is like a third of the time it would have taken if we were holding him and on top of that he would be screaming and punching and kicking and pinching) so yeh 45 mins for the first night, im so happy with that. i pray it gets easier coz i hate hearing him cry and it took all my strength not to pick him up. and once again for those against CC plz dont hurt me! i was at the end of my teather and it was the last resort. anyways off to bed myself :bedtime:
ps can you tell i like the new smilies!! how cute are they? :chair::cryinglaugh::ninja:
Hello ladies!
Meela - Welcome and congrats on your little miss Zoe!! She is getting a big girl - 8.1kg, well done! Im Nicole or Nikki as everyone on here knows me! Glad you have found us and decided to join!!
Pretz - glad to hear everything is going well after your op - sorry to hear Noah had a bad night last night, I am sick of getting up to feed Ben 2 or 3 times a night. Still like having a flipping newborn! Thanks for your text too the other day on nannas funeral! Very much appreciated!
WTG on Pretz, Raffy and Sparkles TTC #2 this year!! You girls are amazing ... Im not even going down the path for number 3 until Ben is about 3 years old! Dont worry though, I will be following your journies very closely when they do happen!
Hi Vix and Brydz (thanks Brydz for your kind words - the funeral went well and my speech was ok ... not too scary!!) hope you are going well.
AFM - Far out - it must be the time for grumpy babies. Ben has been an absolute pain the last few days!! Feeding like a machine and absolutely loving his pumpkin the last few days. HATES farex though, wont have a bar of it.
Weighed him today and has finally doubled his birth weight - exactly. Little chubba has put on another 300g this week! Now 8.3kg
Hope everyone is going well ... be back on tomorrow to chat!
Good Morning all.
nikki -glad your speech went okay. I'm sure your nan would have been proud xo. Good on Ben for doubling birth weight. V is still nowhere near double his yet. Well I'm not sure atm what he is, hasn't been weighed for 3 weeks (gets done next monday with his needles).
raffy -oh that really sucks about your AF. hope it goes away and starts becoming normal and regular again. I must be just about due for my 2nd round. yuk. lets hope it is painless like the first one! I'm still going to call BDM today and find out about whether they tried to trick us into agreement or not. Because I really want to know if J lied to me, well lied to his mum. Because I get the feeling he still tells her what she wants to hear, and then when she finds out the real truth he gives in and does what she wants. I am very anti controlled crying, so I won't say any more. But each to their own I guess and we all have desperate times.. I hope you get a job soon! that would be fantastic! I've gotta do my first aid again before I write my resume up and apply for jobs.
pretz - I am hoping Noah slept better for you last night hunni. We had a good night here :) yay. bout time I say.
TTC - wow can't believe some of you guys are already thinking about it. That is great. Hope it happens when you want it to. No more babies for me for a while, considering this one was a big whoopsie hahaha. I think V will enjoy being spoilt for at least a few years!
afm
got no plans today, apart from calling BDM to find out what happened with that.
I have washing to do, and washing to put away. So I think I'll have an at homey do nothing type of day. Been a busy week so far.
Vinny slept from 930-630!! woohoo.
I didn't sleep the greatest though. First it was fire crackers going off in the neighbourhood. Then my mind wandering and not switching off, and then I woke a few times from the heat.
Not that it was hot. Just been SOOOOOOOOOOO HUMID! I feel like I'm living in the tropics. Yesterday was 23 degrees but the air was so wet. It was disgusting.
Night before last I left a biscuit with cheese on it on a plate in the kitchen, that I didn't eat, and in the morning it was wet like someone had poured water on it, and the biscuit was totally soggy. Way too humid for my liking.
Hope everyone's bubbas settle down and have a good day. I am off to get the boy up for his bottle, he's babbling away in there.
brydz OMG, single parent! You must get this all the time but... I am in awe of you. I couldn't imagine how hard it would be having a little one on your own. My mum and dad split when I was 10 and that was hard enough on my mum.
raffy Zoe is on breast breast and more breast! We've started her on little tastes of food because she is so interested in what we are doing when we eat. It was funny when we went to the last checkup with the nurse. The nurse was clearly impressed with her length and weight. She had this little smirk throughout the entire interview. I didn't mind because Z is so healthy...she will be the baby that ate Tokyo!
TTC Not till Z is about 12 months. Then I think we will start "looking at" each other a lot! Although my Boyfriend has a cousin with one 3 months older than Z, and another one on the way already. I think she is crazy, in a good way :)
Meela - no not something I get much actually. thanks for the compliment though. I just do my best for my bubba boy.
afm - came out to mums, she went into town ahahaha. she is off to centrelink to try and get some assistance for the flood damage to her fences. reckons I'll be eligible possibly for a payment because I was 'stranded' out here too for several days and couldn't get home. I don't think I'll be eligible though.
Meela - Wow, your baby girl is growing well! I hear ya, I'm currently on maternity leave until end August and don't even want to THINK about going back to work. Who knows what will happen by then.....my plan was always to be a full time SAHM so hopefully my dream can still come true! :D That's great that your DP will be able to be a SAHD.
Brydz - So glad that things are going well with the visits with J and Vinny and that J seems to be enjoying the time he is spending with Vinny. I'm also glad that he is showing an interest in Vinny. It's such a big change from how things were in the beginning. Sorry to hear about the issues you're having with BDM. Hope you get it straightened out / get behind what really happened?? :crossfingers:
Raffy - Thanks for crossing your fingers and toes for me but unfortunately I have had another bad night with Noah again last night. I just don't get it, it seems that everytime we have 2 or 3 nights I get excited about it becoming normal and then boom, he goes back to waking a million times and I don't get any sleep/rest. I'm keeping my :crossfingers: all goes well with the job and that you get it. I have been starting to try the controlled crying thing too, but give in too easily I think because I can't stand hearing Noah crying and screaming. It breaks my heart, even though I know it's going to be good for both of us in the long term. I too love the new smiley's!! :happydance:
Nikki - It's scary indeed how alike our boys are. Noah has been a pain too the last few days only wanting to feed and be on the boob and not sleeping well at night wanting to continue waking for another feed. It's really doing my head in and I feel very, very lost as to what to do. I'm booked into a sleep group at the Clinic next Tuesday and it just can't come around quick enough. I really hope they'll be able to give me some tips on getting him to settle himself and stay asleep. He's not too bad when he does wake at night as he'll wake, feed (BF) for about 10-15 mins but then within 1.5-2 hours he'll be awake again wanting to do the same again. I have started to try put him back to sleep again before picking him up, but he just keeps crying so therefore just offering him the boob. Noah has pulled the strangest faces at pumpkin this week, but he is getting used to it slowly. Seems another thing Ben and Noah have in common is that they both hate Farex. Noah won't have it either. lol :p WTG on Ben's great weight gain. Our chubba boys are growing well!!
Vix - Heya! Hope you and Erica had a great catch up with each other and Alannah and Lachie had fun meeting each other!! I'm hoping to see Erica again next month when she comes to Brisbane for work. Hope everything else on your end is going well.
AFM, not much to report on my end except that I'm EXHAUSTED, I just feel like I could fall over, yet when I do finally get to bed or lay down, I'm just not able to sleep, I think I'm OVERTIRED and then when I finally do nod off, Noah is awake again so I just can't seem to win at the moment. At least I was able to have an hour and 15 mins sleep with Noah this morning at 8am, but still not enough to make me feel a bit more energetic. I'm feeling a bit frustrated at the moment too and although I know it can wait, I haven't been able to do much during the day. I have a tonne of washing, the dishes from last night and yesterday morning was just washed thankfully but still needs to be dried and put away and then there's the house that looks like a bomb hit it with toys everywhere and the floors really need a vaccuum and mop, but thankfully Peter has been sweet and understanding and said that he would do it tomorrow...lol Sorry about my rant, it kind of helps just getting things off your chest.
Well then, off for some lunch before Noah wakes, he has been asleep for 40 mins now and I'm hoping it lasts just a while longer.
Love to you all!
xoxox
Pretz - Awww hunni im so sorry your feeling this way. i here those sleep clinics are a god send. i really hope it works for you and Noah and you both get more sleep. im the same at the moment, though cooper is a champion sleeper and always sleeps from 8.30ish pm to 7-7.30 am, im the one that cant sleep. the earliest ive been going to sleep lately is about 1am. i think it could have something to do with DF being on night shift and i find i cant sleep if hes not there but i no hes coming home KWIM? but mum said she'd take Cooper so i can sleep but when i lay down.. nothing.. i tend to just lay and watch tv for an hour but not manage to get any sleep what so ever. overtiredness sucks. how is the controlled crying going? i also find it so hard not to give in and it breaks my heart but its only taking him 10 or so minutes now to fall asleep after just 2 days as apposed to the usualy 1.5 - 2 hours it took before, HUGE difference. Cooper is the same as Noah and Ben, hes liking the solids but wont have a bar of the farex hahah dont stress about your house, mine sounds like its the same and i have mum to help if i need her lol. i asked her to take cooper in the morning tomoro so DF and i can just get it over and done with without having to stop and start to tend to cooper. your doing a bloody fantastic job and a little bit of mess wont matter to anyone
AFM - left cooper at mums last night coz he fell asleep there lol so it was nice to have a sleep in with DF coz hes not working today. we took the dogs to the beach and went in the water ourselves. usually Cooper doesnt like cold water, the coldest hes liked before was a heated pool but today he loved it, he was kicking and splashing it was very cute and the dogs had a blast to. little man is buggered and fell asleep in the 1 minute it took to drive home hahah (yes we could have walked but with 3 dogs and a pram it was just easier to take 2 cars lol) so now hes asleep on the loungeroom floor, when he wakes i think the 3 of us might have a nice big bath. cant wait. hope everyone is well xoxo
Brydz - I agree with you - absolutely hate the humid weather. In fact, I am over the hot weather all together. Want some coldness back and then maybe Ben will sleep better  Oh, I have seen you have been RAK'ed!! Congrats!!
Raffy - Sounds like you had an awesome time at the beach with the dogs and your boys. Im jealous. It only takes us about 8 minutes to drive to the beach but its all the crap you have to lug around with you. Just not worth it at the moment haha LOL at the boys hating Farex - I have heard (you might be interested in this too Pretz) that babies who dont like Farex will often like the Heinz Organic one ... apparently its smoother and actually tastes nice. Farex tends to just be blobby like glue and really grainy. I can understand why they dont like it. Im going to buy some today and see how they go, my ECHN said its important becuase its got so much iron in it ... tell that to the baby who sprays it around the room as soon as it touches his lips!!! :shakehead:
Pretz - Oh love, big, HUGE hugs for you  :comfort: it really does suck doesnt it. Ben was the same about a week ago, and I am still trying to catch up on the sleep. He still wakes for a feed at 9.30pm, 1am, 5am and then up at 7.30am. It really is like having a newborn still. I really do sympathise with you. Getting up every hour is just ridiculous. Does Noah have a dummy? It might be too late to introduce one now, but might be worth a shot?
AFM - Got to go grocery shopping :computer: you all know how much i hate that ... haha
Went to my cousins 21st party last night. I am stuffed now. Didnt get to bed till midnight and then the ratbag woke up at 6am with a big poo in his nappy and all over the sheets, plus woke up for a feed between midnight and 6, so I am knackered. I reckon this is the 5th night of continuously broken sleep but also only getting about 5 hours max. If I have another baby ... it had better not be a boy!! They are too hungry all the flipping time ......
HI girls, massive catch up so pls excuse me if I comment on something that happened dayssssssss ago!
Raffy – thanks for the comp on my avvy. It was actually a picture on my baby shower invites and I just love it so much!.....you’ll find for the first couple of months your AF will be all over the place. I am still waiting on mine for this month. I’m about a week overdue if you work on my 28-30 cycle…..okay, just read your next post about the smell etc !..great news about your trip away.
Clover – how is Summer now? I hope she is well and truly better or nearly…WTG Summer for rolling!!!!!!!
Pretz - she has not rolled back over since! Not to worry as when she has tummy time she is beginning to pivet around on her belly a bit. I phoned Heinz and asked them to send out some info – still waiting though! Grrrr. Glad your Op went okay, I cannot remember if I replied to your text message!.....poor DH having to keep waiting!..OMG you are planning #2!!!!! I just got shivers down my spine from excitement!!!!!!!!!!!!.....as for your Group Question – sadly no more babies for me. Makes me feel sad but I really don’t think I could cope mentally or emotionally and besides I think I would have been advised not to have anymore as my uterus was paper thin and had started to split when they pulled Alannahrama out. Apart from that….I had my tubes clamped! *giggles*…yep, Ericas visit was awesome. Lachlan is totally gorgeous. It was after 1pm when they left and I felt so bad I didn’t offer her lunch. I just didn’t think about it. *blushes*…wish I could help you out with Noah, I really mean that as I know how bad sleep dep can be.
Sparkles – good to hear from you and so pleased Master Tynan is off his reflux meds. He sounds like he is doing very well.
Nikki – I am sorry to hear of your Grandmother, I commented on FB when I read it but just wanted to pass my condolences on again. *hugs*
Meela – welcome to our little group! Welcome also to Zoe. Love her name!....I am Mum to Alannah (was due in Oct but decided Sept 19 would be a nice day), Noah (2008) and Bailey (2006).
Well, i had best go. Not sure what is up with Alannah today. She slept for a an hr this morning and then only 20 mins at lunch time......see my whinge on FB! lol Takes ages to get her to sleep and then she only sleeps for an hour max! Well, obviously less at the lunch today. She wont go to her cot this arvo and so I have her in her swing and after 20 mins I an see she is finally drifting off...if only her brothers would stop stomping and banging around the place! Grrrrr
Saw my GP the other week and she did an anxiety test on me - similiar to the pnd test I guess. She has referred me to go and see my counsellor from community health. I dont know when that is going to happen though! I had pretty bad heart palpitations this week and was very anxious about everything. The boys are driving me nots today. I have yelled and bellowed at them all day and seriously, if it was EASY and SIMPLE to do so, I would just walk out some days. The washing is not getting done, I made DH help me tidy up yesterday morning before Erica came, etc etc etc and he goes FISHING AGAIN tomorrow! MIL stepped WAAAAAAY out of line this week. CHN made me feel like I was doing wrong by Alannah with mixed feeding and solids so now I have stopped even thinking about solids. A close friend of mine has been prescribed meds for her anxiety and she is the closest person I have in my lofe so now I feel like I cannot even talk to her if I need a vent as she has her own crap to deal with, need to organise a Baptism but I know how much of a PITA my ex-step-Mother is going to be whether she is or isn't invited, need to get my licence...gotta go, DH is home!
okay dumb question but what the hell is a RAK?
hey girls.
vinny has slept through 4 nights in a row now. but I haven't been sleeping great because of the weather and things on my mind.
(i keep thinking about J... and it is doing my head in).
It really didn't help that he answered the door topless yesterday and I got a decent look :shakehead:
trying to rid these annoying thoughts from my head but not at all succeeding.
sorry can't be bothered with personals i'm in a real funny mood.
love to you all xo
Morning Mummies!
Raffy - Thanks honey. I really hope the Sleep Group thing on Tuesday proves to be of some help and that I can help Noah sleep a bit better as I don't know what to do anymore. It's just frustrating and harder when you're sleep deprived. You're so lucky that Coop is such a champion sleeper. Perhaps he should come visit and teach Noah all about sleeping! lol The controlled crying isn't going as well as I had thought or hoped, I still have to go in there after about 5 mins and calm him down and then when I walk away he starts crying again. He eventually settles, but not very easily though. Sorry to hear he was sick last night. Is he better now?
Nikki - Yes, it really is like having a newborn, although come to think of it, Noah slept more as a newborn than he does now! lol I'm sorry that you too are sleep deprived and not sleeping well due to Ben feeding so often during the night. :comfort: These boys sure have appetites and a lot in common! lol :p I too hope my next baby is a girl....as it seems girls don't feed AS often as these boys! lol Noah does have a dummy, in fact, he has a few, but hardly wants to take it. You can put it in his mouth and he'll spit it out, so I've tried, but no luck. Thanks for the tip about the Heinz organic rice cereal, will definitely look out for it when I go do my shopping again.
Vix - Lovely to hear from you!! I have been really ouchy since yesterday arvo but I did a lot of walking/doing a lot of stuff yesterday so perhaps that is why. Feeling a tad better this morning, but planning to take it easier today as I want it to heal so poor DH doesn't have to wait any longer than he has already been and still has to be waiting! lol Yes, I too am very, very excited about TTC#2 :happydance: I'm so glad that you ended up meeting Erica and that you girls had a great time. She is such a lovely and amazing person! I wish we all lived closer to each other so we could have our very own Mummies group and meet up in person to catch up, wouldn't that just have been so much fun!? hehe I'm sorry to hear about the anxiety and stress and everything you have been going through. If you ever need to talk/vent, please phone me for a chat, you have my number and you're more than welcome to phone me anytime, 24/7!!
Brydz - RAK stands for Random Act of Kindness and when you have been RAK'd it means someone has anonymously given you a membership for free for one year. ;) So happy to hear that Vinny slept through for the 4th night in a row! Yay! Hope he keeps it up!! Are you giving him anymore formula feeds now? Do you think that is making a difference because if it does, then I might try it too....lol Sorry to hear about you not being able to sleep well and about having lots of stuff on your mind. Hope you feel better soon!
AFM, have had a pretty good weekend so far. Had friends over for dinner last night and thankfully was able to actually cook a proper meal (thanks to DH looking after Noah) lol. Noah slept really well and so did I (even though I only got to bed at 11pm). Noah went to sleep at 8:15pm and woke at 00:20am (his new first meal time for the night) and again at 4:30am, but thankfully fell asleep within 20 mins of waking and so I got to sleep too. He also slept in this morning and so did DH and I, I think I got a total of 7 hour sleep and it sure makes a HUGE difference! lol Noah is down for his nap now (hence why I'm able to post and be on the PC for a bit) and then I'm off to make some lunch. I still have to write DH's card too and wrap his present as it's his birthday tomorrow so might do that soon too while Noah is asleep.
Hope you all have a lovely arvo!
Love to you all!
xoxox
Vix - im so sorry your feeling this way :comfort: i hope you find the answer to the anxiety soon. always here if you need to chat or vent.
Brydz - to add to what pretz said you can now go and get a lovely avatar if you want one. the link is https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...avatar+request... theres people in there that can make one for you or they can point you in the right direction to making your own. hope you feel better soon. i hate those days where your just in a funny mood. glad to hear V slept well for you hun, prob knew mummy needed it
Pretz - sorry your having an ouchy day. nice work on Noahs sleeping thats fabulous. hope you enjoyed your dinner with friends. :happybirthday: for your DH for tomoro. hope you guys have an awesome day,
AFM - DF went out last night to celebrate with our friends coz my bestie got a well deserved promotion. i was all set to go and then cooper got a really bad tummy ache and was super duper upset. i couldnt bear the thought of leaving him even if all he was gonna do was sleep. i wouldnt have been able to enjoy myself. he ended up stirring at about 9pm but only needed a bum pat and was asleep again and then woke up at 5.30 this morning as apposed to the usual 7.30 but DF got him and apparently he had a bottle slept for 5 mins, had another bottle and slept for 2 hours then woke and had another bottle. and hes had 2 more since. someone is very hungry today lol. ok TMI warning. who in here has had a UTI?? im so itchy down there and it sorta burns, i feel like i just need to pee all the time but only a few drops comes out and it burns. is this a UTI? if not does anyone no what it could be? if it is what do i do? its driving me mental. soooo uncomfortable. ahhh anyhooo im starving. might go make lunch while coops is asleep. got friends coming over for dinner tonight so that will be nice :) love ya'll
Raffy - I have had a lot of UTI's and even had a few in my pregnancy early on. I'm prone to getting them quite regularly and what you seem to be describing definitely sounds like one to me. The frequent urge to pee all the time and the burning are the classic symptoms that I always get, along with a sharp stabbing kind of pain when I start to wee (which is also usually just a few drops). I would recommend that you get a urine test done at the doctors (try to get in tomorrow if you're able to) as antibiotics are the only thing that will help it go away, if left untreated it can become nasty and even turn into a kidney infection (happened to me once). As for the itching, could be thrush?? I haven't had any itching with my UTI's..... Huge 's honey!! Hope you feel better soon!
PS: Wow, sounds like Coops is definitely a hungry little man today. I gave Noah a bottle this morning at 11am and he fell asleep at 11:20am and is still asleep (it's now 1:40pm). Yay! He obviously needed the sleep and no doubt will also be a very hungry and straving little man when he wakes! lol :p
xoxox
thanks Pretz - ive got a doc appt for wednesday coz i was gonna get the dreaded pap smear but if AF doesnt go away i might put it off til she does but i will go in regardless and talk to her about this. i think itchy is the wrong word. its just really uncomfortable and definately burning and stinging. wowzers on Noahs nap. thats awesome
Raffy, You're welcome honey! I'm glad that you'll get yourself checked out by the GP regardless of whether AF goes away or not and I truly, deeply and sincerely hope AF goes away for you real soon (I used to have a period/bleeding that lasted 62 days due to my endo and it drove me INSANE!!!) and if you do end up getting your pap smear good luck, I hate them! I'm thankfully not due for my pap smear until September this year so I've got a bit to go thankfully! :p Probably just as well and just in time before TTC baby #2! lol
Yes, I'm very happy Noah is going so well with his sleeping today. I hope this is a sign that tonight will be a good night too! :happydance:
Alrighty then, I'm off to have a nice cuppa tea and just relax a little - I should have gone to get some sleep, but I did dishes, had a nice chat and lunch with DH and just checked a few things online which is lovely for a change.
xoxo
thanks girls!
pretz -no I haven't done anything differently to normal. he is still having the same 4 x formula feeds a day and boob in between. though i might add 2 of the nights he's been awake for ages prior to going down for the night and extra tired.
raffy -okay I'm totally confused about the avatar thing. never mind I can do without one. definitely sounds like a UTI, never had one myself but that is what it sounds like :( ouch. hope you can get something to clear it up.
afm vinny tried pureed apple for breakfast. little piggy finished an entire jar (he loved it!) although I may have had a few mouthfuls.. :p
he is asleep in the swing now. I finally got around to buying new batteries!
yesterday I got a jolly jumper musical mat. he doesn't know what to do with it. made him cry :( LOL. he would just not jump before when I had him on it..
my brother and his ex just took some stuff out of the back room. yay. slowly they are getting rid of things. will be nice when I can have the whole room back again. they also changed the globe in the lounge so now I have light again :) (i could not reach anywhere near it)
brydz - hahah fair enough. you dont have to have one lol wow WTG V on eating so much :) i do the same thing and eat some of coopers food :hide:
glad your bro and is XDP are getting there stuff and your slowly getting your back room back :)
AFM - cooper is asleep but keeps crying, like a really sad cry, but hes asleep. hes done it occasionally for a few months now, but today hes doing it every 5 - 10 mins? does anyone no what it could be? is it a bad dream or is he in pain or he semi wakes and doesnt no where he is? im so confused and my heart breaks for him. it is the saddest cry
Hi ladies,
Just a quickie, on the run to get tea ready.
Raffy - I'd say the sad cry is probably dreaming. Almost like a whimper. Ben does it occasionally too. I wouldnt worry about it, if he is pain he would wake up and cry quite loudly i would imagine. A pain cry is usually quite distinguished IYKWIM.
Pretz - I looked at the rice cereal and the Heinz one is for babies 6+ months plus, but I gave ben the Raffertys Garden Organic one and OMG he scoffed it down. It actually tastes nice. Just like rice. HEAPS better than Farex, Im not going near that crap again after discovering this one!!
Oh and YUCK! to pap smears whoever said they have to get one! I just had mine and thankfully dont have to go back for another 2 years now. No doubt those 2 years will go round in a flash!
BBL for more persies!
xoxo
Morning all,
Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Well, i think the 4 month change has hit Ty, he has gone from sleeping all night from 8 weeks old, to now waking between 3-5am, doesn't necessarily want a feed, just is grumbling, i will go in and remove his legs from the side of tcot (or something similar) tuck him back in then it starts again, who would know, i re tucked him in at 3am this morning, fine till 5am, then fed him, and he slept till 7.30. I don't know, i am thinking maybe he is getting cold! Oh well, not stressed about it and definately not complaining, and i know alot of people say that bubs sleeping habits can change around 4 months!!
Goota go, will come back and finish this post later
Hi guys. Haven't been online for pretty much the past week, so am way behind on whats going on.
Went to Sydney last week for DH's pop's funeral, then helped with the cleaning of his unit to get it ready to go on the market. Hated the drive down there! We came off the freeway & onto the motorway/highway right on 3pm, through school zone after school zone & had to get right down to Sutherland! 2 hours to get 40 kms away... unbelievable! Us country bumpkins just can't get our heads around it!! Stress!
Anyway, catch up... Summer has started saying yayaya & dada. Very cute (& way too early for my liking!)
She's over her flu & back to waking once in the early mornings again. Usually about 6am, but last night it was 3.
No solids here yet. She's fascinated every time we eat & watches us intently, but I'm waiting a bit longer. When she can sit in a high chair & feed herself I think. We give her the odd taste of something on our finger, but thats it.
I've put her in cool water a few times, but she's never been too keen on it. Yesterday we all jumped in the kids pool at mum & dad's & she had a ball! Couldn't get enough.
Anyway, I have a house full of unpacking etc to do & DS thinks he has a broken booby, so I'm off
Later
Clover - great to hear from you. Glad Summers feeling better too! How did you get the FB thingy????
Pretz - All the best for tomorrow at sleep school.
Raffy - I would not worry about Cooper crying in his sleep. He cant talk so instead of talking in his sleep, he cries! Make sense? Alannah sometimes does it too which makes me sit bolt upright in bed like a zombie and then I lay back down again and crash! lol
BBL, boys are feral this morning!
xxxxx
Pretz - did you end up getting a sling?
Vix - in your profille, you can add your msn & icq etc... FB is in there now too.
Brydz - Glad that Vinny is sleeping so well for ya though and glad to hear he enjoyed the pureed apple! I reckon we should buy shares in batteries because since Noah was born I have probably brought more batteries than all the batteries I had bought in my lifetime before that! lol :p
Raffy - Noah does the same sometimes - cries in his sleep, I think it's dreams, perhaps a little bit of wind that's bothersome, but not painful? Noah usually settles himself though so I guess it can't be bad/harmful. ;) How are you feeling today? Hope you're feeling better and that if you have a UTI the cranberry juice helps like Vix suggested. I have tried it a number of times too but unfortunately it doesn't help for me.
Nikki - I will definitely give the Rafferty's one a go thanks! ;) It was Raffy that said she needed to go for her papsmear. I'm glad mine is not until September yay!! I absolutely HATE them (in fact, I never even went for my first one until 2005 (when I was made to have one before I had a laparoscopy), I was already 25 when I had my first and had one every year since then (due to one coming back abnormal)!
Sparkles - Sorry to hear that Ty has been starting to wake for you at night too. I have come to accept that babies just go through sleep changes and that there isn't much you can do about it unfortunately except go with it. I am however keen to TRY (going to a sleep group thing tomorrow) things to help change it, but can only hope and pray that it helps/works. :crossfingers:
Clover - Nice to hear from you. Yay on Summer saying yayaya and Dada! Very cute indeed. Noah has started with aaahhh and goes uhm uhm uhm uhm uhm and squeels very very loudly now! lol :happydance:
Vix - I got a sling ages ago but he hated it and I'm not sure I want to try it because at 7.82kg and him being such a wriggler I don't know how my poor shoulders would hold it. I will give it a go though, you just never know. I'm looking forward to the sleep group / school tomorrow thanks. I will let you all know how it went afterwards and whether I'm successful in whatever I try (although I'm sure it won't happen overnight and that the key is PATIENCE!) lol. Hope your boys give you a break today!
AFM, had a good night, except that it took forever to get Noah to sleep, think it was the heat as he was hot and sweaty and wouldn't sleep. He finally crashed at 9:30pm last night and slept til 2:45am, woke for a feed, back to sleep, but then wide awake and chatting from 4am. It wasn't too bad as it's DH's birthday and we could spend a bit of time with him before he left for work and gave him his pressies. Noah just went down for a nap about 30 mins ago and I'm about to go bake DH a birthday cake (never got the chance yesterday). lol
Hope you all have a lovely day!
Love ya's!
Me xoxo
Pretz - the suspected UTI is gone?! Its been doing this for years. It will be there one day and crazy uncomfortable and then the next day nothing. I'm still going to the doctors on Wednesday so I will still ask about it. I hope the sleep school works for you guys and I have heard from people that have tried it that it takes a few days but definately makes a difference. Happy birthday to your dh. Enjoy the cake, yummmm
Clover - that's so cute that summer is saying yayay and dada just precious. I do think these babies need to slow down hahah.
Nikki - just saw on fb that ben Sat up for a minute, snap. About 2 minutes before I read that cooper was sitting on my lap facing me unassisted playing with his toys. Getting soooo big
Sparkles - sorry to hear Ty is no longer sleeping through hopefully it changes again soon and he's back to his old sleeping patterns
Sorry if I missed anything I'm on my phone so I can't see previous posts.
Afm - well I vow to never take my dog to the vet unless hes dying. Lol I'm kidding. But we just took him back to the vet coz he has sores on his legs but they seemed to be getting worse so $184 later hes now on anti bs for 2 weeks. So hopefully that clears it up or I'm gonna be broke. Already had to pay for rego and insurance, phone bills and dfs speeding fine this week and I've lent mum $220 :duh: and we still have 11 days till pay day. I have an interveiw at the cc centre on Wednesday and now I'm really hoping i get it coz the extra money would he awesome right now. Before i was a little hesitant coz I'm not ready to leave cooper but if its only a couple of days a week and we have extra cash and don't have to live like hermits then i think it will be ok. DF and i officially decided last night that given af gets her act into gear we are gonna start ttc#2 in may. Also that way if i get this job I'll still be eligable for the paid parental leave. Not that that's got anything to do with it, really the money is just a bonus. But the baby bonus stops in April which was covering my lack of income, but coz the PPL goes for longer it means i can stay out of work longer between baby 2&3 (yes I've thought about this way to much, but unfortunately coz i want 3 babies it comes down to being able to afford them, which we will) lol anyways i am totally rambling and I'm sure none of you give two hoots about our money sitch or there lack of haha, moral of my rant, i don't wanna go back to work, but i have to haha. Ahhhh anyway might go make lunch before coopy woopy wakes xx
Dear AF,
12 days late is not acceptable!
Me
xxxxx
*giggles*
Vix - gee enjoy it while you can lol just be happy you havent had it for 23 days like me :wall: lol
Nikki - i bought Cooper some of the Raffertys garden rice cereal stuff. havent had the chance to give it a go yet coz hes been asleep since we got back from the shops but ill give it ago when he wakes up and let ya no if he likes it.
AFM - so Cooper has decided he wants to be big and gets angry when his body wnt let him do it lol. when hes laying on his back he tries to sit up by lifting his head and grunting hahah  it cracks me up. so i sit him up and hes happy and will sit unsupported for 30 seconds - 2 minutes and then slowly leans forward. and if i dont sit him up then he rolls over and starts trying to crawl. hes got the legs down pat and can even get up onto his knees and keep them there but its his arms that wont co operate haha so then he starts yelling and looks around to find someone, this morning he kept lookin at me and i said "boo" or "hello" and he would laugh, and then go back to yelling. was rather cute lol. ive started to notice over the last few weeks that he knows who his daddy is. DF has been on night shift so he sleeps in til bout 9.30-10ish so around then i take cooper upstairs to lay in bed with DF and cooper sees him and starts smiling and squealing its soooo cute.
Sorry no Persies..... Any ideas on the following? My dear son has started waking up between 3-4am and just grunting & moaning the rest of the morning. He is not really awake but not really asleep & i cannot settle him & he doesn't really want a feed! I am not complaining about the amount if sleep i get a night but it makes for Avery long day with then a bub who is already overtired by the time he gets up in morning! I have no doubt it is some what teeth related as his little gums are swollen but I can't blame teeth for ever! :) have already though maybe he is getting cold in early hours of morning, any other ideas? Am just so tired as the last 2 days he has also had less than an hours sleep all day so I have buckleys of getting a nap in, lucky he is so cute! :)
Could it just be wind Sparkles? Maybe he just needs a big burp, or a good fart? Just a thought :)
mmmm...don't think so, as he has no problem burping(then spewing) & farts like a tropper when he needs to!! might try it tonight though! thanks x
