Raffy, just popped into say dont stress about the scan being 5 days behind - dating scans arent all that accurate so early. The baby is so tiny that even a millimetre of differnce in the technicians measurements can put you out but a few days. I had a dating scan with Evie and it put me back about 5 days too - meant i would have got a bfp at 6dpo which is highly unlikely, once i had my NT scan, she was measuring exactly to my dates. A heatbeat is a fantastic sign and congrats again xxx
-
Thanks Hun, phew that makes me feel better, I've always measured pretty spot on, so a few days out and I freaked lol, how are you and your beautiful babies? Enjoying this lovely weather we are having! Was the rain as bad in newy as it was in the bay? Woke me up 3 times last night
-
We are just plodding along nicely thank you, Its very busy and i was just saying to my dh last night as much as i'm exhausted i'm so in love with them both - its just wonderful! Yes, the rain was so full on all day - good though cause the kids slept so well, so did I, didnt wake me once - love sleeping while its raining. I even had the eletric blanket on last night! Glad i helped make you feel a little bit better  xxxx
-
Oh I'm glad they slept well, Cooper slept through all the rain as well which I was glad about, have you started evie on solids and all that? How is she going with it all?
-
Brydz - Yeah, I don't think I'll last long with "deactivating" my FB either! lol I would be annoyed too if Noah came home smelling of smoke when I knew the people I left him with smoked - like you said, where else would the smoke have come from?? :wall: What a rude cow at your work!!! I would have punched her in the face too for sure!! I agree with what Bec said about you have every right to be a Mumma (single or not) and she is wrong to want to judge you!! It's sad about what happened to her with her bub, but what does that have to do with you being a Mum?? If I was in her shoes, sure it'd suck and hurt and be sad, but I'd still be happy for other Mummies having babies..... Remember that I KNOW you are doing an amazing job (being a single Mummy and now working on top of it all) and Vinny is just a gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous little boy! Dont' let anyone ever tell you otherwise or they'll have to come and deal with me! lol Huge hugs honey, I can only imagine that it must be hard that you have to work with her too  Hopefully you won't get any shifts with her again for a longgggg time!!
JaCaMa - Heya honey! How you doing with your health and how is Maddi's eating/feeding now? Hope you're both doing well!
Raffy - WTG and YAY on seeing Pickle!! That's awesome. I agree with MrsB26 - don't worry about the dates at this stage, it's still very early. I'm sure that by the time you have your 12 week scan that the dates will match up closer to yours. I also agree that a heartbeat, especially at 5 weeks 6 days is a very good sign and excellent news!!
MrsB26 - Hello there! Nice to see you on here! Glad to hear that Evie and Byron are doing well. :D
Hiya to Vix, Nikki, Sparkles, Clover and everyone else!
AFM, been a busy little bee today, did 3 loads of washing, unpacked and repacked my linen cupboard, cleaned the house (vacuumed and mopped) all throughout playing with Noah. Still on AF and doesn't look like she wants to dissapear anytime soon  but thankfully having no pain!! I just keep reminding me that I only have another 4 AF's to go and then we can TTC! Hopefully I won't have to wait too long before I get a BFP! lol
Hope you all have a great arvo!

pretz yeah I hope I don't have to work with her. If I am working 1-2 days a week chances are I won't have to very often anyway because there are literally dozens of different staff members I'd be working with. So I think unless she has a permanent shift on the days I work I'll hardly see her anyway.
Thanks hun, Noah is very gorgeous as well. We all have such incredibly beautiful bubbas. I can't believe how big and clever they are all becoming.
raffy don't stress about the 5 days out thing, that early on they are not so accurate with measuring and all that anyway. fingers crossed it really is nothing to worry about and that you have a great sticky pregnancy. sending happy healthy bubba vibes your way :D
It seems so bizarre to me that you all are talking of TTC and all that. Just because in my situation I don't think number 2 will be around for several years.
Hello everyone else who is hanging about.
Remember all the issue with my brother? He has done a runner for good this time. Left us a note, it sounded almost like a suicide note but he has taken clothes and things. So he's just buggered off. To be honest we weren't half suprised and don't half care. Obviously he's just going to be off drinking and being stupid with his bogan mates.
His life, his choice. He is 18 in 6 months so theres not a lot we can do about him anyway.
-
Just wanted to send Raffy some hugs - I'm sure pickle is fine and growing smashingly ... like MrsB26 said, even a couple of mm's at the 19 weeks scan make a HUGE difference in dates, so imagine at just a weeny one!
Brydz - Hope your brother will be ok, thinking of you.
Hi Pretz and Vix and Sparkles and everyone else!!!!
-
Thanks ladies, it really is nice to have so much reassurance :grouphug:
Brydz - hope your brother stays safe and comes to his senses, well, one day, before he gets into trouble. Boys

Happy Mothers Day everyone!!
hope you have all had a wonderful day. Vinny and I have not done a lot, just hanging out with mum and we visited my nan earlier.
Didn't do anything special at all. But it has still been a nice day.

Happy belated Mothers Day girlies!
We didn't do much either. DH cooked us all B&E for breaky but we have that most Sunays anyway. The kids gave me a key ring that we bought on Thursday at TRU with "Special Mum" on it. The boys gave me what they made at preschool and I have it all hanging up on display. DH popped out for an hour and I got all excited.......he went to his Mums to feed her dog, which I knew about but was kinda hoping on the flowers he told me on Saturday that Bailey wanted to buy me (thanks for ruining the surprise!)....no flowers! Had hamburgers for lunch. Was all set for a lamb roast for dinner when he said we had to go around to his Mothers for dinner. I gave up my lamb roast for fatty pizza. :wall: Came home and put the kids to bed. Just before we went to bed I said I would have liked the flowers Bailey wanted to buy for me the day before......he said he forgot.
Lamb roast tonight!
Next year I am having MY Mothers Day on the Saturday so I don't have to share it with MIL. Selfish much?! ;);)
Had the home doc come yesterday and Alannah might be developing an ear infection...hence the lack of appetite. Am throwing caution to the wind now and giving her anything! I know they say no vegemite for the first 12 months but DH bought some kids vegemite (which still says not b4 the first 12 months - meh!!). She had that on toast for breaky yesterday morning and prolly ate most of it. I just cut it in 4 squares and gave her a piece at a time. Dinner was fruit custard - can't really give a baby pizza! ;) This morning she finally ate her farex with cows milk! Lunch was 1/2 a small tin of Baked Beans and then an orange in her fresh food feeder. Tonight is LAMB ROAST & VEGGIES!!!
Still not drinking much milk but is on the increase....and we can clap hands!!!!!! Yesterday DH and I were sitting on the lounge and she came out with 'Hi'. lol Too funny.
GTG, Missy is awake and NJ is annoying me for arvo tea!
Will catch up with persies soon.

Vix - alannah sounds like she is going great guns with her solids, that's fantastic, we've upped coopers solids heaps coz I'm worried he's so small, but given the fact he STILL has no teeth it's a little hard, he does suck on everything but and he also loved his vegemite toast, I just want him to get some dam teeth, df didn't have any teeth til 10 months so it looks like Cooper is taking after him lol, that's so cute that she can clap as well, we are starting to teach Cooper that and also teaching him to wave goodbye lol he almost has them both, lol awesome that she says 'hi' haha there's been a few times when I've asked Cooper a question or said his name and he's said 'yep' haha bless them, sorry to hear you didn't get the flowers Bailey wanted to get ya, and I hope YOUR mothers day next year is much much better, enjoy your roast tonight, I'm so jealous lol
-
Hello lovelies!
Brydz - Thanks for saying Noah is gorgeous too - I agree that we all have beautiful and gorgeous bubs! You are right too about them getting bigger and more clever everyday! Noah is starting to sail around the living room on his belly now by kicking himself forward with his feet.... :o Will DEFINITELY have to baby proof my living room now and not just say I'm going to do it! lol Huge 's to you about your brother. I hope that he stays safe and that he will realise that he is worry you and your Mum and that he will start to act responsibly soon!
Vix - I too hope that next year mother's day will be YOUR day and better and that you wouldn't need to spend it with the MIL. Sorry also that DH forgot about the flowers from Bailey. How cute is Miss Alannah saying "HI"!! So glad to hear that she is starting to eat better and enjoying her food. I hope that she is ok and that if she ends up with the ear infection that it clears up for her soon!
Nikki - How is Ben's teething going? Any other teeth? Hope he is sleeping better again at night compared to the other night! Did you get spoilt by Summer and Ben for mother's day?
Raffy - How you feeling honey? Hope you're not going to have m/s as bad as you did last time with Coops. Hope he gave you lots of cuddles for mother's day yesterday.
JaCaMa - Hope you had a lovely mother's day and that your 2 girls spoilt you rotten! ;)
Hello to everyone else!
AFM, a bit sad today as Noah is OFFICIALLY WEANED from the boob!! Well, my milk was just so low and he was just not very interested in boobies anymore so slowly have been weaning him (with the help of some info that Vix sent me, thanks Vix!!). He seems to have adjusted fine and seems happy with his bottle, although today he wasn't very hungry for formula as he only had about 100ml per bottle x 3 for the day compared to 560ml for the day!? He had brekky, lunch and dinner though but not as much as usual at lunch and dinner either....? Think he was just having an "off-day" as he was very moody and cranky by around 3:00-4:00pm and by 5:30pm this evening I was ready to run for the hills due to his mood because he was just whiny and crying and didn't want to do anything so just gave him a quick bath, some dinner, which he sort of ate but wasn't very interested in, popped him in bed at 6:15pm and he whinged for another half an hour in his bed before falling asleep around 6:45pm...phew!! Hope he sleeps well tonight though as I need the sleep, am feeling so drained!
On a positive note, I had a great mother's day. Got a cute bunch of flowers (they're fake as DH reckons they'll last forever lol) scented with perfume, a beautiful card and a little box with a poem that says: "Mummy, Inside this box, there's a special gift from me, but don't untie the ribbon, it's something you can't see. It holds something very special that you can keep when we're apart, it contains all my love for you as you're always in my heart!" That's just soooooo cute, it gave me tears in my eyes! DH went to the Brisbane Truck show, but Noah and I went out to brunch with a friend of mine who recently seperated from her partner of 17 years and it was her 60th birthday so I was glad to have spent some time with her. After brunch we had a look at some shops in the mall and came home late arvo and got chinese takeaways for dinner last night. :p
Well then, I'm off to my cold, lonely bed, lol. DH didn't work today due to the rain, but they phoned this arvo and offered him night work so he just left to go to work...
Love to you all!!

Pretz - I'm feeling ok for now, thanks for asking, still sick in the morning and have waves of nausea throughout the day and and night, but it's manageable, just some water and a quick lay down and I'm fine again :) also have moments where I feel 'fuzzy' for lack of a better word, not dizzy just, well, fuzzy it's a strange sensation and is usually accompanied by a wave of nausea, oh the joys lol your mothers day present sounds so sweet, and it will be one of those things you literally keep forever, just precious, I got a lovely flower, a mug that says 'love you mummy' and a brand spanking new fry pan, don't know what Cooper and his dad are trying to suggest haha but we did need one :) glad you had a nice day with your friend and noah, sorry to hear about your friends relationship, that's devastating, I hope she's ok xx
AFM - do you guys remember the 'young parents group' I went to a while ago, well it didn't really work out coz only 2 of us ever showed up, so they have sort of given up on it lol, but the lady that runs it rang me the other day and told me she met another young lady with a 2 month old who's hubby's is in the raaf and she's just moved to my area so she gave me her number and I'm meeting up with her for coffee tomorrow haha I guess it's sort of like a blind date lol either way just through messages she sounds really nice and we are both in the same situation with being young defence spouses with bubs so we have plenty in common, :crossfingers: it goes well and I make a new friend lol
-
Aww Vix I am so jealous of the roast lamb and vegies (SALIVATING here!). Sounds delicious. Great news Alannah is enjoying her solids more. I'm like that too now with Ben - dont care what he eats, just as long as its something - with Summer I was always following the "rules". Oh how cute that the little missy is clapping!! Im trying in vain to get Ben to do anything other than crawl and grunt LOL
Brydz - Glad to hear you enjoyed your first mothers day. Hope you had a nice time visiting your mum and nan.
Raffy - I have my fingers crossed that your blind date goes well tmr, that should be most exciting and great if you get a friend out of it to hang out with. I really dont miss all the MS and what not, I had a virus last week and it was pure hell looking after 2 kids and managing it. I would be utterly devasted if I got pregnant anytime in the next 18 months!!!! LOL
Pretz - the present you got sounds absolutely gorgeous!!! I would have got a tear in my eye too! SNAP at Noah having a really cranky arvo. Ben was absolutely TERRIBLE tonight until about 6, then he was ok for an hour and then crashed in bed without milk or solids. Weird. Still only the 1 tooth but man am I feeling his pain - he was up 4 times between 9.30 and 12.30 last night, and then fed again at 4.30 :wall: I seriously am over getting up to him so many times a night. He is 7 months now, eating about 5 solid meals a day, he can't possibly be hungry!!!!!! Hugs for Noah being weaned. Its sad when it happens. I'm not looking forward to it, but in a way it will be nice to have my boobs back to myself and safely in my shirt all day  I didnt get a mothers day present, I didnt want one LOL. I end up just choosing what I want and then DH goes and buys its. No fun in that. DH just said I can got buy myself a new winter wardrobe. OK!!!!
AFM - I just cooked dinner for 15 of DH's family members with a screaming baby at my feet the whole time. Man, did I feel like a neglectful mummy. So sick of having to do it ... its just too hard. Main meal, sides, drinks and dessert. Times 15!!! And to top off my stressful day DHs work car packed it in, needs a new engine for $4500 or just buy a new car .... Sigh, if only money really did grow on effing trees.
T.I.R.E.D..... Y.A.W.N..... Utterly exhasted. I am so rundown atm its not funny. Ben is really the best behaved baby but his lack of being able to go more than 4 hours during the night without a feed is killing me. Ive tried a bottle of formula before bedtime but he HATES it. Hates bottles full stop. Ugh.
Got my girlfriends and their bubs coming over tmr morning. Cant wait. Can whinge to someone else for a change hahaha
-
Raffy - Glad that you are able to ease your MS and the waves of nausea. I LOVED being pregnant and I could deal with the leg cramps, big belly, peeing all the time, sore back and lack of sleep in the end due to the big belly, but one thing I HATED and am not looking forward to again is the MS!! Glad that you got some nice mother's day pressies too and how cute about the cup that says "love you mummy". Fingers crossed your "blind date" goes well and that you make a new friend. Thanks yes, my friend isn't doing so well with her split from her partner, and she doesn't have any family (she never had kids, couldn't have them, was in a car accident when she was 17 with her parents and broke her pelvis and her uterus and insides were all so badly damaged poor thing). I'm trying to be there for her and cheer her up but it's a bit hard as I don't really know what to say except just be there if she wants to talk.
Nikki - Snap that Ben was in a terrible mood last night too. Not sure why these boys get like that. It frustrates the heck out of me as I don't know what to do with him after a while, he won't eat, won't sleep, not happy to play, don't want to be held but when you put him down he screams....drives you insane at that moment! He slept from 6:45pm til 5:30am this morning though and on his first nap for the day now! Just hope today is better though as DH worked last night and is sleeping at the moment too. lol Boys!! I'm sorry to hear that Benny is still waking so often through the night. I was going to say you should perhaps try him on a bottle of FF before bed, but since you have and he hates the bottle, I'm not sure what else to suggest. What time do you put him to sleep of a night? I'm sure you are strict with his bedtime routine, but I found that ever since I started being strict with Noah's and stuck with it like clock-work it made a HUGE, HUGE, difference with his sleep and that is when he started sleeping through without waking. I also tried to stretch him too late at night I think and did it earlier and earlier again and he now goes to bed anywhere between 6:15pm and 6:30pm and he sleeps well, so not sure if that is why...? Huge, huge 's to you honey! I can only imagine how hard and exhausting it must be, especially having 2 babies to look after during the day and not getting any rest. I feel drained and exhausted after just looking after 1 baby all day! Yes, I was sad about the BF coming to an end, but it's great to have my boobs back to myself and to be able to wear normal bra's again (although it felt a bit odd at first) Oh that sucks that you had to cook for 15 people!! I honestly couldn't do it! I struggle to cook for 2 (me and DH) most days!! Enjoy your whinge lol and visit with your girlfriends and their babies coming over today. I have my Mummies group tomorrow as well and can't wait, sooooooo lovely to chat with them and to be able to realise you're sooooooo not the only one going through everything! lol
AFM, nothing new on my end. Just having a bit of time to myself on the PC while Noah is napping and DH is still sleeping after his night shift.
Hope you all have a lovely day!
Me xoxox
PS: For those of you girls (Vix and Nikki) that were with me in the Pre-TTC thread - do you girls remember Dragonbub? Well, she had her bubba boy last Friday! How exciting!!
