Thanks Brydz for your kind words. I do have 3 beautiful healthy babies. I MUST remember that!!! I just...miss my baby bump, the little early flutters, the excitement, the ms, the tiredness, the reflux, the heartburn......
Hope you and Vinnie had a tops day.
xxxxx
Alannah tried mashed carrot tonight! She didn't gag on it or spit it out! Bonus!!! Because she didn't get any easter eggs yesterday I treated her to a Heinz chocolate custard this arvo. THAT - she loved! :)
Hope everyone had a nice relaxful Anzac Day. I now have three kids with colds. AaaaaaaaCHOOOOOOOO. And me....a throat infection. Blah.
xxxxx
Vix - yay that alannah enjoyed her mashed carrot  I gave Cooper some raffertys garden banana and chocolate custard about a month ago, he couldn't get enough of it lol
I tried her on Vanilla yoghurt at lunch today - Winner!!!!! :)

wow so quiet in here.
hello everyone!!!!!!!!!!
have not been in because my net isn't working still and I have not been around to mums to get online much.
VINNY had his 6 month needles and check on Wed. He gained 300g which is about half his usual gain, but that was from being so unwell with the bronchiolitis.
He now weighs 8.05kg and is 71.5cm. Getting a big boy!
The lump on his bottom is clearing up. Which is good, because it was so nasty.
He's been spending a fair bit of time with J because J has been on holidays from school over the Easter break. But he goes back Monday so we won't be going over there as much.
The last 3 times V has gone over for a total of 5 hours + they drop him home (another hour in the car). That is about as much as I'm willing to let him go for at this stage so hopefully J will be happy with that arrangement for a while and then not be pushy about upping it.
We have to sit down and sort out the future plan now that he's going back to school because he is not going to be having him for 5 hours after school because he won't be home til like 9pm or something.
I propose he has him that long on the weekend, Sunday preferrably and then comes over to see him at home on a Thursday. (currently before the holidsays he's been visiting mon and wed and bub going over there Friday arvo for 3 hours).
MYSELF I am returning to work soon. Start my training on Weds. I've worked there before so only need a little refresher training as there are new staff, new residents and a few things are now done differently. But I don't think it will take long before I'm in the swing of things. I'm hoping to get WED and SAT shifts if I can. If they can't give them to me I'll put my name down casual at the hospital also. I'm sure between the 2 place I'll get the hours I need.
I also have a test on Tues at uni, so have to study up before then. J wants V again tomorrow and I was going to say no, but I think I'll say yes just because it is the end of the holidays for him, and it will give me an afternoon to study!
Brydz - wow v is getting big, that's awesome, coopers teeny at 7.5kg so many ppl comment on how small he is for his age, that's awesome that Vs visits with J are working out at I hope it continues to go so well and J stays so enthusiastic about seeing him, congrats on getting some work, well done, I hope it all goes smoothly.
AFM - it sure is quiet in here hope everyone is ok, not much happening here, having a whingy day (dam pregnancy hormones) we are suppose to be going to our best friends house for dinner tonight, which we do every weekend and it's usually loads of fun, and they both love coops to bits so it's good all round, but tonight they are having a mini party sorta thing with both their work friends ( which df and I have met most of them ) but df will be with the boys outside, cooking the BBQ and drinking and all the girls ( whom are close coz they work together everyday ) will be inside, I just know I'm gonna get left out and stuck with a grumpy baby, plus they will all be drinking and I can't, petty vent I no but I just don't wanna go coz I'm gonna be left out and Cooper has been getting unbelievably grumpy at bed time and he's been fighting it for a good hour the last few nights which means we let him cry, offer food, give him cuddles and repeat for an hour :o then he wakes about an hour after we finally get him down and wants more cuddles then wakes about 5 so I want an early night
Ahh this prob doesn't even mak sense, I'm just grumpy lol hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, take care all xx
Raffy - Hope you're doing and feeling alright and that your m/s and nausea ease up and that it won't hang around for too long! How did Cooper sleep last night? Saw that you had a very clingy baby yesterday. Perhaps he is teething and will be getting some teeth very soon! Hope you get some rest.
Vix - Thanks for letting us know about the photos in signatures. I didn't even know about it and probably wouldn't have had you and Raffy not mentioned it. lol WTG on Miss Alannah eating so well and enjoying her food! I'm having some real struggles getting Noah to eat savouries without apple (or something sweet in it). He just cracks it big time and cries, smacking the spoon out of your hand and refusing to eat it. I've started to trick him now though by giving him a spoon of vegies with a bit of apple sauce mixed together and then the next one just vegies and keep that up for a bit but it's hard and a bit frustrating...lol Hope you and your 3 beautiful babies are doing better now after your colds. Hope Noah had a great birthday the other day.
Brydz - Congratulations on your job! I hope that you will be able to get the shifts and days at work that you want. WTG on Vinny's excellent stats! Noah is 8.6kg now and he is still hovering around the 72cm, which is good in a way otherwise he won't fit his size 0 clothes for too long either! Keep growing out of clothes! lol I'm glad that visits with J has been going so well and that things are more positive now than it was last year this time when there was hardly any contact from him to you.
Nikki - Hope everything is going well and that Ben will start to sleep through for you VERY SOON!!!
Hello to everyone else! :hello:
AFM, just plodding along....lol Waiting for STUPID WITCH AF to arrive and hate that I'm actually wanting for her to arrive already and just get it over with! I'm 3 days late now but then who knows when I'm supposed to get her being my second period after birth!? :wall: Was thinking I should test just incase but don't think there's much of a chance that I'd be UTD as we haven't exactly been doing it like the bunnies! Has anyone that have had their AF's had their periods one month and then not the next?? Could it be because I'm still BF Noah once a day ATM and it's throwing my hormones out of whack?? Guess I'll have to wait another few days and if no AF do an HPT! lol
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Me xoxo
PS: Oh and I finally heard back from the vet, my cat doesn't have cancer, it's something called "Cryptococcus" which is something that he has had before (it affects their immune system), but it's caused a lesion on his foot and he will need to be on medication for the rest of his life to make him comfortable. Going to see the vet this morning and find out more and to get his stitches removed but we will have to decided whether we're going to do the treatment (i.e how much is it going to cost $$$) and whether it will help or not or whether we should put him to sleep if he isn't going to get better... :(
pretz they are almost the same size then, apart from the weight? I wish V was more like Noah's weight, he looks so thin people probably look at him and think he is underfed. Totally not true, he is a guts. Yesterday I was feeding him a jar of food and he was impatient and instead of waiting for the spoon to come to him he would sit forward in the high chair and catch the spoon with his mouth! lol.
Sorry that your little kitty is still unwell :( I hope that it doesn't require putting him down that would really suck, though a life of illness doesn't sound appealing either..
As for AF I am just finishing up my 4th one. The first 3 were 29 days apart and I thought great it will be regular, but this one was more like 34. What a pain. I hate not knowing exactly when to expect it.
raffy how are you doing hun? pregnancy hormones eh, that sucks. I don't miss those. Hope you have little to no morning sickness now and are coping alright with bub and tiredness combined. My other friend IRL who was expecting again around the same time as you has sadly lost her little bubba :( I was so sad for her.
How is master Coop? He is getting so big and clever.
afm V supposed to be going to his dads today but I have less than half a tank of petrol and $18 in my bank. And I need that petrol Tues to drive to uni. I'm sure if I ring him J will come get him AND drop him home but i don't wanna start that or theyll prob ask me for petrol money.. I transferred $100 credit from my mortgage account but it wont clear sraight away, diff bank. Trying to decide whether i should just say V is cranky or something or tell the truth. i really could do with the time to study fir tues test..
V is on my knee right now trying to bash the keyboard sorry for tghe typos.
catch you later
Pretz - I'm so sorry to hear your cat still isn't well, I sincerely hope it doesn't come down to putting him to sleep, big, hug, massive  yes Cooper was extremely clingy yesterday and the day before, and the day before that, much better today though (see AFM) I can't believe how big and tall Noah is too, man Cooper is a midget hahah doesn't help that both his parents are shortys lol
Brydz - I'm sure J will understand if you can't afford to drive him there just this once, maybe just ring and be honest with him, coz it maybe a little sacrifice but having the time to chill baby free and get some study down sounds good as well. Oh and hi V nice of you to try and chat with us to lol I'm so sorry to hear your friend lost her bub, I'm still at that stage where I don't wanna get attached or excited coz you just never know, it's so sad
AFM - so last night actually ended up being a really good night, we got there and Cooper had fallen asleep in the car so he was asleep for the first 10 minutes and then was up and quite happy, around 8.30 he started getting grumpy so df gave him a cuddle and a bottle and he fell straight to sleep, which he usually does but hasn't for the last few nights, and despite all the noise he slept until about 12 when we went home, we got home and he was still awake, gave him a bottle and he was out until 6ish this morning, which is a little earlier than usual but waaaaaaaaaaay better than he has been, I ended up getting alone with all the girls and had one glass of wine when I first got there so no one got suspicious then drove home at 12, oh the joys of pregnancy, after one glass of wine I woke up this morning feeling like I've been on a 3 day bender  still very nauseous all the time but still haven't spewed and other than that I have no symptoms at all, I'm so peeved off, I FINALLY got a doctors appt. For this Tuesday at 10.30 and then I got a call from my sister, guess what time she flies in from Perth? Yep Tuesday at 10.30  Im so glad df is on night shift, he's just gonna have to go and pick her up but I feel so bad coz there airport is at the raaf base which is an hour round trip so df will have to do it twice that day :s oh well
Anywhoo I think I'm game enough to actually eat something now so I'm off, hope you all enjoyed your weekend
raffy I ended up calling to tell him I couldn't drive and his mum answered with 'oh hi sweetie' told me he was in the shower and then proceeded to ask 'what do you want?'. I said I can't make it over there because I haven't the petrol and she said 'but J is coming to get V. He TOLD you that. he's having a shower and then we are leaving' and then basically hung up. What the hell??????? how rude she want to be? And J didn't TELL me that, he suggested it, but it wasn't an agreement, and totally just a miscommunication. grr.
So anyway they came and picked V up. I said have him home at 5, he said I was going to ask if I could bring him home by 630. And I said, fine 6 at the latest. Will be interesting to see what time he gets back.. If he is later than 615 without them letting me know I will be refusing to have him take him. He brought him back 10 minutes late last time without bothering to call or text and pre warn me and I was quite anxious.
Anyway I watched a couple of episodes of greys. And now I am back at mums to come online.
She just got home and the car was making a TERRIBLE noise. Some sort of scraping sound at the back wheel. After taking the wheel of and some investigation the culprit was a tiny stone about the size of a marble or a pea caught in the brakes. It was stuck and scraping on the metal and making a noise. Pretty funny we thought it was a serious issue.
I'm having a very moody kind of day today. I really just want time to hurry up. I miss V heaps. Normally I can do things and take my mind off it. But I miss him and I want him home already. I just feel different today.
Brydz- I hope time goes very fast and v is back home very soon, i miss Cooper when he's asleep so your one strong lady. I really hope j doesn't try and push it and has him home at 6 I would b fuming if it was any later so totally understand, can't believe his mum was so rude what a b*tch oh well, don't let it get to ya, glad your mumS car didn't have any serious problems, dam stones.
Im cooking spag Bol tonight and gonna give coops some :) no doubt it will be messy so I'll have the camera at the ready to put on FB. Hehe I love letting him get messy and be a real boy, so much fun :)
He brought him home at 620. I was not entirely impressed.
Before that though, he sent me a text asking to call to discuss our plans for next week before they bring him home, because we won't have time to discuss it when he gets here...
Was that like a threat or an attempt to use the fact that they had Vinny as blackmail?
Because if I rang and didn't agree would he just say 'oh but I'm not going to bring him home until you agree'.
It seemed like a very bizarre request. I did not oblige. I was too scared to.
I messaged and said well leave 10 minutes earlier and we'll have time.
Why did he want to make it such an issue to decide what our future plans were for the next week? We have not been having any trouble agreeing on things the past couple of weeks. Why is it an issue now?
I wasn't going to discuss it on the phone. So I waited til he got there and he wants to have V while I'm back at work. I explained no he can't because I have to work til 11pm and that is way too late. He had to go home and 'think about it' and said he'd call me tonight to work it out. What is there to think about, no means no. He can come visit him on Thursday. I've already said he can have him sat arvo because sun is mothers day..
wtf? this is doing my head in.
why cant they just make life easy and stop being so damn difficult. argh.
Hi all, just a quickie ...
Brydz - Gosh, I really admire you love for putting up with all this s***. I couldnt imagine having Ben out of my sight as often as you have to, and J seems to be being a real controlling pig over it all. I feel for you hun and cant offer any advice but just wanted to send a massive hug to you and Vinny
Raffy - hope those pg hormones aren't giving you too much trouble now and your feeling a little better today!
Pretz - OMG imagine if you were UTD. How unreal!! Has the witch showed up yet??? I cant help you out with the AF, I havent got mine back yet but I THINK that she was on time when I got it back with Summer and I was still exclusively BF when I had it back. Big hugs to you and your kitty cat too
AFM - Off to do some wedding planning with my sister. FUN!! Ben is crawling EVERYWHERE and opening cupboards and everything. Uh. I lose him about 10 times a day and have to go searching the house to find out where the little buggar is!
Also Happy 7 months to my London clock (Big Ben, LOL)
Hi to everyone else, and special mention to the lovely VIX!
Pretz - I have been having 40 days between mine. Same thing happened after I had Noah until they started coming every 28 - 30 days a few months later. Very, very heavy and full on cramps but this time no cramps....not sure if it is to do with my tubes being tied or not...no implantion??!!
Nikki - Thanks for the special mention! Made me smile. :)
Brydz - Keep a note of everything hun, if you don't feel comfortable, don't do it. If I am not back before Sunday, I hope you have a brilliant Mothers Day Brydz. <3
Raffy - how did the sketti dinner go? My Noah used to rub his dinner through his hair every night and I still laugh at those kinds of pics.
AFM - have closed my wall on FB for a while. I freind of mine wrote about a bad week she was having and how no one asked how she was going much these days.....I just hit the roof and wrote on her wall that I do think of her everyday, that I was sorry some of their plans had fallen through, that a pet of theirs was pretty crook and hoped her son was feeling much better after being sick last week. I explained that most days (more like everyday) it is an effort to smile, I have to really make a massive effort to find the give a damn to feed my kids and I can't be stuffed trying to smile. Then I went and changed my settings. :hide:
Missy is being a pain in the butt...it takes so much energy to get her to drink between 300 and 500mls of ff a day and she should be having 700+. She eats her farex which inc 60mls formula and barely eats any lunch (which is a crappy jar of custard or some yoghurt with farex sprinkled through it) and dinner....lucky if she eats a few 1/2 baby spoons of one lousy vegies. DH keeps telling me she won't let herself starve which I know but I just feel useless and like I should be doing something else to make her drink more.
Mega break down this morning. I want my life back. I just want to be me.
Happy Mothers Day for this Sunday girls; if I don't make it back on.
xxxxx
Ahhhh s*** Vix, I wish I could put my arms thru the comp and give you a big, fat squishy hug
I don't know what to say to try make you feel a little better, I know hearing that everyone has crappy days is no comparison to the battles of PND. All I can say is keep soldiering on ... just one foot in front of the other, thats how I have to think sometimes. Even though I don't know you personally, I know you are a fabulous and devoted Mum to your 3 beautiful kids and every day they get a little older (and wiser) and hopefully, things become easier. You are doing a fantastic job.
Are you able to leave the kids with DH a couple of nights a week and go and do something for yourself? A late night stroll around the shops, a coffee and read of a mag in a coffee shop, even just a trip to the grocery store in peace (at a very lazy pace?!!?). I would babysit for you if I could ... :comfort:
Brydz - hmmmm that is bizarre, I agree with vix, if there is anything weird or you don't feel comfortable with then document it. Sucks that he seems to be making things more complicated then necessary  hope everything goes smoothly for Thursday and Saturday
Nikki - happy 7 months Buddha boy :)
Vix - coops loved his sketti, it was everywhere as predicted but thats half the fun, IL put a bit of a damper on the funny pics by telling us not to give him full bits of spaghetti  man I wish I could give you a big fat hug, it's so frustrating not being able to help, Cooper is useless at having ff as well he has maybe 400-500mls a day but does gobble down his 3 solid meals a day, just remember you have 3 gorgeous babies and as ur DH said alannah won't let herself starve and from pictures I've seen on FB shes definately not underweight or anything :comfort: :comfort:
AFM - yesterday was the first day we gave Cooper 3 solid meals as apposed to just breaky and dinner, and last night he went to sleep without a fuss and slept from 8pm to 8.10am, I was stoked, dunno if it had anything to do with the solids but it got him out of being the grizzle guts that he's been for the last few days, I think because (as I said to vix) he's drinking bugger all ff so he could have been hungry and throw in teething, no wonder he was grumpy, so we figured we give him extra solids, coz he fights the bottle but is more than happy to have food, hopefully tonight is the same :crossfingers: he's asleep at the moment so hopefully it stays that way coz I would love to have a little lay down myself before it's go go go for bed time, might go and get maccas for dinner :shhh: coz I CBF cooking, and with full blown nausea and having aversions to basically everything I should probably eat what ever from where ever when my tummy says I can lol xx
Brydz - Oh honey, I'm so sorry about what has been happening with J and how rude his Mum was to you on the phone! I was just saying the other day that I was glad that things had improved and that things were going so much better than last year this time when he wouldn't even see you or talk to you and now this. It sounds bizarre to me too the way he is going about things. I don't know what to say other than just to document everything as the other girls suggested and to just allow Vinny over to J when you are comfortable with it. I really hope it all works out ok! Yes it appears that Vinny and Noah are almost the same size, Vinny seems to be catching up to Noah nicely! lol ;) I totally hear ya on AF not showing when she's supposed to, it sucks not knowing when exactly she's going to show...lol
Raffy - Thanks honey. Took my cat to the vet yesterday morning to get his stitches taken out and the vet said she'd call me on Tuesday (tomorrow) to discuss our options for treatment (cost thereof $$$) and then we'll go from there. DH and I discussed it and said that we'd get him treated if it's not going to be too expensive, because I really hope that it won't come down to having to put him to sleep. Glad that Cooper is back to his normal self for ya and love the photos of his spaghetti last night, so gorgeous! Sorry to hear about the nausea, it truly sucks big time, that's about the ONE thing I DO NOT look forward to with my next pregnancy....lol Hope all goes well with your GP appt tomorrow!
Nikki - Happy 7 months for Ben today! :confetti: Can't believe how quick all our bubs are growing and how big they are getting! WTG on Ben's excellent stats too (saw on FB). Wow, can't believe that you're losing Ben in the house with his crawling. I'm thankful that Noah is still not crawling which gives me a bit more time to baby proof some things around my house. lol See more about AF and UTD in AFM below....lol
Vix - Thanks for the info on AF honey. AF truly, genuinely SUCKS above all things in the world that can SUCK!!!!! lol I can just imagine how you must have felt reading your friend's post/comment/status about the bad week she was having when I know what you have been going through. I hope you know that although I don't always ask how you are doing everyday that I too do think of you everyday! HUGE, HUGE, HUGE  honey and remember like I said before, if you EVER want to talk or vent or just hear someone's voice (I can do a pretty good South African accent for ya ) you have my number and can phone me ANYTIME!! xxx Sorry to hear that Alannah isn't drinking alot of her formula. I'm struggling to sometimes get Noah to drink his formula too, just not that interested and sooooooo very distracted by anything and everything around him. I hope she will start to have more soon! When was Alannah's Baptism again? Next weekend? Hope you have a wonderful Mother's day too honey!!! xxx
AFM, I'm not UTD as AF showed her ugly face yesterday arvo!! I'm quite relieved she showed to be honest as I'm just not ready to be pregnant again yet....lol The cramping started out like usual, quite horrific and painful and lasted through last night, but by this morning had eased up. Like you Vix, mine has been much heavier than it used to be, but the pain this time is nothing like that first period I had last month and when I had endo, so I guess that's a good sign. Noah has been a dream baby today. He had 3 naps of 1 hour and 45 minutes each and fell asleep at 6:30pm! I'm definitely IMPRESSED!! I just hope he still sleeps right through the night tonight.
Well then, I best get started on dinner, even though I'm not really all that hungry......
Have a great night!
Love to you all!
