Another quick one - at gp to get my nipples checked again and get a script for pills to increase my supply
Art - moving to a new suburb. We are putting an offer in on a house in a suburb we've loved for ages. The house is smaller and older than our current home but will definitely do the job until we are ready to build again. We are basically buying it for block value as it's one block from the river and so close to everything. Fingers crossed our place sells quickly as I'm dreading keeping it spotless for all the home opens!
Sanchez - PMSL!!! Gold boob award - love it!
Pooley - I'd be waking Frazer after 3 or 4 hours max to feed him again then see how he goes. Do that until a time your happy with for bed time, say 10pm, then give him his last big feed. Izzy tends to do a longer sleep for her first nightime sleep too then a shorter one for the next snooze and then shorter for the last one. For example Izzy will feed at say 7pm then wake at midnight for a feed then wake a 4 for a feed then again at 7 or even 6. She seems to be getting into some sort of routine but I'm not expecting much of her yet. Not sure if that helps at all!
Gotta run, I'm finally going in
x
Hi guys,
Bit of an update on us. She's always been a pretty good sleeper, but the last 5 days especially Emily has gotten herself, with a little persuasion into an awesome sleep routine. In the afternoon she feeds at 12, 4, 7 and 11pm. She has her last feed around 11pm then sleeps for at least 8 hours, she's still not up yet today and it's been 9 1/2 so far. She always has an unsettled screaming fit between her 7pm and 11pm feed which maybe just wears her out so much she sleeps well. So fingers crossed this continues as it'll make it so much easier when DF is away if she sleeps like this. She's awake for a few hours at a time now through the day as well.
I'm still expressing full time, but my supply has increased so I'm doing it every 3 hours now and getting 1 1/2 feeds at a time which is great, i'm now up to 6 spare in the fridge. I'm not finding it too bad at all so far, that might be a different dtory when DF flies back out but for now i'm just going to keep doing this, it's much easier now her sleep patterns are mostly predictable because I can make sure I do it whilst she's sleeping. She's now 5.00kg, put on 300gms in 4 days last week which was very reassuring because she only feeds 5 times a day and I keep reading thats not typical so was a little worried she wasn't feeding enough. She's fits into her first 00 now, but is still a pretty good 000 fit. She has grown 10cm in length, and 2cm in head circ.
She smiles lots and makes heaps of wonderful cooing noises and is extremely ticklish! Her eyes are now definitely blue and her hair is getting fairer, her "milk" rash is starting to clear up now. She's obsessed with the mobile above her changetable and on her swing and now loves being nude.
I'm in a much better place than last week, I feel heaps better about things and am very very happy with how everything is going, despite the expressing.
Nicola - Dbay isn't far from me at all, would be great for you, Pooley, Sanchez and I to catch up one day for a coffee or something.
Taurean - Good luck with the boobs today! :p Hope your offer for house gets accepted!
Pooley - I found that sleep book I told you about yesterday, will catch up with you Monday or Tuesday next week if you're free and bring it for you.
Art - 1kg is awesome :) Hope you're coping okay with the 2 kids, don't know how you do it!
Sangie - sounds like things are looking up for you, that's an awesome sleep!
PB - I haven't even given kindy a thought yet, can't believe they take enrollments this far in advance!
Kelly - Hope you're both on the mend, you've had a rough time with the BFing. It's great that your mums coming to help you out wilst your DH is away, mums are great support. Mine is staying with me Friday & Saturday, so at least I only have to do 6 days by myself after that.
I better go wake little miss for breakfast so I can get her 5 feeds in today, hope you ladies have a great day!
Peace out, A town. xx
Hiya, quick update while Tadhg is actually asleep.
Sangie - glad you are on the mend, and no doubt you'll get on top of the wind issues. Ours have gotten heaps better recently and I'm not 100% sure what has changed, but i think T is drinking slower, probably partly since i'm making less milk now after mastitis and maybe growth spurt related. So here's hoping E is just having a growth spurt too and will settle into better feeding and burping soon.
Sanchez, how annoying with the bottle feeding. I did read that its hard to introduce a bottle after 6 weeks. Have you tried some different brands, as maybe the teat shape would help? I'm using Pigeon now and they have a really nice teat which is flexible and more nipple shaped. That being said T wont refuse anything with food, and will even drink cold milk from the fridge if he is hungry - crazy baby.
Art - woohoo on the weight gain, A is certainly doing well in that department! Have you tried doing tummy time on your chest while you are reclined back? It might give A a chance to use her neck muscles without being able to roll - still impressive trick!
Pooley - how frustrating, it seems some babies are just born with a biological clock set for different times. I agree with the plan to try and wake him every 3 or 3 1/2 hours until 10pm it might take a few days for him to get used to having a longer sleep later in the evening - but it would be worth it for the reward.
We had a frustrating day yesterday with T looking really sleepy and then only cat-napping when i put him down. Today i'm ignoring the early yawns after a feed and keeping him up longer, which is kinda working so far. I'm also doing more regular feeds as DH thinks he might need more time feeding and cuddling, which seems like a fair theory.
We finally got our cot delivered today - yes 4 months since i ordered it, no thanks to Heart and Home in NZ, still waiting on the bookcase. I can't unwrap it yet cos its in the nursery where T is sleeping. It better be nice!
K
Another day - another struggle with the bottle. Having no luck unfortunatly.
Kelly I have the pigeon as well as a lac consultant said it is the best for breast fed babies. I will keep trying...you never know one day it might click! I have had many of those catnapping type days - i could have cried at the end of them i was so tired! That is terrible the cot took so long..if memory serves me correct you got the free bassinette - but even still.
Janine - the word jealous comes to mind at the thought of an 8 hour sleep. Good job on the weight gain and 10cm! that is awesome! What pump do you use? Can't believe all of these well behaved babies.
Pooley - good luck with trying to move the "big" sleep. Hope some ladies have some good advice for you. Again i am completely jealous at 7 hour sleeps. I am just demand feeding so my nights are not great. I usually feed V 4 times between 10pm and 6am. Not great.
Art - Yay for the weight gain and A's acrobatic display!
Sangie - what is with all these well behaved babies sleeping well.....:( am i the only person not sleeping?! My milk supply is really low in the evenings too - so frustrating. Good job on the formula top up though - bet you loved that long sleep ;)
Nicola - I hear you on the bottle front - i am just refusing to believe it and am trying my best to wedge it in there!
All is well with us, had our hips ultrasounded on Monday which came back great. We had to take the splint off for the scan and i tell you the smell when it came off was really bad - sort of like when a plaster comes off i guess.
So we saw the Dr yesterday and great news we can take the splint off in 2 weeks ourselves at home - and the first matter of business, will be giving her the biggest clean of her life! I held her in the scanning room without the splint and oh my god she was floppy - I thought i was going to drop her!
ps...i am loathing this heat already - summer is going to be a nightmare! Does anybody else end up drenched in sweat when feeding their bub?
Sanchez, no 7-8 hour sleeps here either. She will do 4-5 at best atm. Last night she was awake every two hours, so it is still quite a mixed bag. Is she still wanting to feed every couple of hours?
Kelly, I can't believe they took so long to get the cot to you! I am not really worried about tummy time, she is very strong and has excellent neck control already. I didn't bother with tummy time with DS because he hated it and he still managed to sit and walk very early.
Janine, you 'sound' much happier. Are you still having to jiggle away on the fit ball or is the swing giving you a bit of time to do thing? There is a thread in the feeding section for full time expesser support.
Taurean, sucks having to keep your house clean! When we did open homes there was a mad rush on a Saturday morning to get the place tidy lol
Hi all, We had the best night ever last night. Charlotte's pretty much been in a good routine from the word go but last night we have her 180ml at 9.30pm, she went down at 10 and slept through until 4am. Up 20 mins then back to sleep until 8am. Fingers crossed this will be her pattern for a while until we can get her through for a bit longer. :)
She is so easy to settle, a 2 min cuddle then down she goes without a peep. We didn't experience any "3 week change" so does that mean it will be a shocker for the so called "7 week change" ??
Janine - 5kg is fantastic! Lottie is now over 4kg and we are thrilled. She's pretty much 100% into 000 now and we can practically see the growth. :D
Taurean - Didn't you just move into your house!? We built about 2 years ago and I don't think I could possibly do it again anytime soon. Its great you are looking at a ready made house!
Sanchez - Yay two weeks for the splint! That is fantastic. It will be wonderful to fully hold your little girl without the contraption.
Hi to everyone else and hope things are going well. Better go and get ready as we are having lunch with a gf today. She's lending me some dresses to try on for this wedding we have in 2 weeks.. I need something to hide the tummy bulge I still have!:shakehead:
Thanks for your advice ladies.
Well yesterday was the first day we started feeds every 3 3 1/2 hrs and I tried to keep Frazer up for as long as possible playing/ etc. Did a feed at 4pm.ish, 7.30pm and a dream feed at 10.30pm. (But most feeds at night are dream feeds cause he just doesn't seem to wake up! Even with a nappy change.)
He slept through til 4!!! Yay! I woke up at 4 and then just listened to him murmur for a while and then just decided to give him a feed since I was up, then slept through till 8!
Hopefully as we keep going with what we're doing he may get into some sort of basic routine.
A question though, should I try leaving him sleep til morning after the dream feed and see how long he lasts or should I just keep doing the 4 am feed whether he wakes or not??
Frazer is already into the infant nappies, they are a little big but I keep thinking the newborn ones are so tight they're gonna cut off the circulation to his little chubby legs!!
Peanut baby, sounds like your schedule is working out well. What a good sleeper she is!
Well.... Emily has her 8 week immunisations today, not fun at all. I cried when she had them done, how sad is that, lol. Poor thing didn't like it one bit, they do an oral liquid thing, and 2 needles, one in each thigh. It was heartbreaking to hear her cry in pain. She was a bit unsettled afterwards but has actually coped pretty well with none of the common side effects so far. We finally finished organising all our medicare/family assistance stuff today and just scraped in under the income limit so qualified for family tax benefit B, yay!!!
Another woo-hoo is I think i've finally picked a wedding dress. It's a grecian style and just gorgeous, now I just have to lose the rest of my baby weight so I can fit in the size I want.
Jason flies back out to work tomorrow, sigh. the countdown starts again.
Sanchez - I use the Avent Isis Manual pump, works a treat :) Yay for taking the brace off, bet you can't wait! Will seem weird having a floppy baby though lol
Art - The swing is THE best thing we have bought for her by far... i'm so pleased we got it, it's a godsend. She falls asleep in it sometimes now when she's tired, and she LOVES the little turtle on the mobile, it's her favourite.
PB - it's pretty hard to shift the tummy bulge hey... anyone got some good tips? I'm pretty lazy though so something that doesn't require much effort would be great. I now have 6 months only to get myself back in shape for the wedding.
Pooley - YAY for Frazers awesome sleep! Are you without DH again this weekend?
Pooley that's great! I'd maybe not wake him at 4am and see how long he can go? Can't hurt to try and you never know, he might stretch out until a more human hour of 6am! I've been giving Ethan his last feed at around 11pm and he has been lasting until between 5-6am.
Janine - immunisations suck hey? I made DH come with me when DD had hers and I think I cried more than she did lol! YAY for finding a wedding dress. I need to lose tummy fat too. DH is buying me a Wii fit for our wedding anniversary so I'm going to give that a go. I'm really hoping I can get back to my normal weight before Summer hits!
PB - lucky you with bubby that settles so easy!
Sanchez - yay for taking off the splint soon :D Well its not hot enough here for me to be sweating. Send some heat here please, its been so cold and I'm over it :shakehead:
Kelly - finally you got your cot! Have you set it up yet?
AFU - E is driving me a bit nuts the last couple of days. He is only sleeping when I hold him and as soon as I attempt to put him down he cries blue murder! I've been co-sleeping at night as its the only way we can all sleep. I'm going to pull out the sling today and give that a go.
Hope the rest of you are doing well and getting enough shut eye.
Hi everyone,
I've been following along but haven't yet posted. Our little man arrived on the 15th of September (12 days late!) and so he's now just over 4 weeks. We are both breast and bottle (formula) feeding and it's interesting to hear what everyone else's bubs are doing.
I'm about to call 13 HEALTH as bub has a funny looking thing poking out of his belly button and I'm not sure if I should go to the GP.
It's hard for me not to be jealous of those who's baby's are having longer sleeps. The longest we get is one stretch of 4 hours and the rest of his feeds are 2.5-3 hours apart.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!
Ruth - It's normal for new babies to have an umbilical hernia, which is like a red sore looking spot that pokes out usually more noticeable when they cry (almost like it's turning inside-out a little). Emily has one as well, apparently it disappears in time. Not sure if this is what your bub has, but if you're worried probably call them anyway because they will be able to advise you best.
Welcome to the group too! :)
Janine- Yeah, DH is away tonight and tomorrow night gigging but I must say it doesn't bother me as much as I have kinda gotten used to it. How exciting about your wedding dress!! I didn't realise you were planning on getting married so soon!! U will have to fill me in on all the details next time we catch up. When would you like to? sometime this week??
I am desperate to get back to the gym but have to wait for my 6 week check up so the doctor can let me know what I can start off doing. I'd love to do some aerobics classes but am thinking I better just start of with the eliptical machine or bike or treadmill. Only have 7 kilos to lose but am getting really depressed not being able to get into an of my old pants. I'm sooooo over wearing baby doll tops/ dresses and bloody leggings!!
Nice to hear from you Ruth I think I would have died or exploded if Frazer turned up 12 days late! Congrats on your little one, did I miss his name??? It's not in your signature
double post, stupid puter.
Pooley - This week would be great, maybe Monday? Yeah we just brought forward the wedding date as we are planning on trying for bub #2 in July (something I don't want to think about right now lol) I went and tried on the dress today, it's divine! I can't quite do up the size 8 but should be able to lose 8 kgs by April to get back to my usual size. If you get the go ahead for exercise you're more than welcome to come to mine and use my elliptical trainer and weights etc, and I can watch the bubs, then you can watch them whilst I do a session as well. The elliptical trainer is set up in front of the TV so I'm set lol. I'm thinking of taping a pic of the dress to the machine for motivation :p I hear you on the dress/leggings bizzo, I want to fit into my skirts and jeans!
I have been putting off doing the one handed post but i don't think it is going to happen any other way. V is having an absolute shocker! She hasn't let me put her down all day. I am so sick of watching TV (never thought i'd hear myself say that!).
Art - She has been pretty good lately with the sleeping longer than an hour - but i think i just gave up caring, it isn't as though i have anywhere else to be so I just started letting her do what she wants. No use getting upset about something I can't really control!
Pooley and Janine - I am hearing you loud and clear about the weight loss...i must admit I have never heard of nor do I know what the hell a eliptical machine even is! I have lost 11kgs and am hovering with 7kg to go. Doesn't seem to want to budge - therefore i can't fit into anything but my maternity jeans....very depressing :( (It would help though if i stopped putting all the fatty food in my mouth - i am not pregnant anymore but somehow am still justifying eating all the bad stuff!)
Janine - OMG trying for number two.....thats so soon.....you need 2 tickers...one for E and one for the countdown! So exciting about getting married...well if you need a dress with a lot of belly room you know you can always have mine ;)
Pooley - So impressed about Frazer and how big he's getting..is he sleeping a bit better yet?
Hi Ruth - good to hear from you - 12 days late would have done my head in!
I am finding it hard finding nice clothes that are breastfeeding friendly. I still want to look good but haven't found any stand out pieces - has anybody got great looking clothes?
Hi Girls!
Super quick selfish post from me as I really must get to bed while Izzy is sleeping.
Had a very up and down week with all our feeding issues and lost the plot Thursday and decided to throw the towel in after one more week of trying to BF. I thought I still had thrush and the pain was too much so I expressed Thursday and Friday and bottlefed Izzy exclusively. I was so sad not to breastfeed her but the break was good for my poor boobs. I phoned my lac consultant to tell her what was happening on Thursday and she booked me in straight away for another catchup with her. So, we caught up today and boy am I glad we did. It looks like we may be on the road to recovery - finally!! :D
Firstly, Izzy has put on 400g in a week!!! We couldn't believe it! She's now at 3.7kg! I'm so damn happy. All our hard work is starting to pay off. My LC checked both of us for thrush and it looks like we are both clear so that was good news but we were left wondering why I was still in pain. She checked out Izzy's attachment and it was fantastic so that wasn't the issue. Oh, and on that note, Izzy fed beautifully off both sides and sucked out 80mls on her own which was a huge increase from her 40mls last time. We may need to top her up with formula here and there but the Motillium pills I'm on should continue to help with my supply so hopefully she'll get enough from me in the not too distant future. Anyway, back to my pain. It was a bit of a mystery until my LC checked my nipples after Izzy fed and they were a bit white and very sore. Straight away she said it's 'nipple vasospasm' which basically means I have circulation problems in my nipples which causes all the pain I've been experiencing! So now we know what it is, I can go about treating it. There is a perscription tablet which works really well apparently so I'm going to get onto that very soon and then hopefully our nasty breastfeeding days will be a thing of the past - FINGERS CROSSED!!!
I'll attempt to get back on and write a few personals tomorrow but for now I really have to get to bed. I've been reading all your posts and loving hearing how you're all going. Motherhood sure is hard work at times, hey?
Night girls xx
PS: Izzy had her first day of lots of smiles yesterday! So cute and very gummy!!
Hiya,
Pooley - well done on the routine with Frazer, sounds like its working so far :) Long may it last. I agree, leave him as long as he will go overnight. I sometimes hear Tadhg stirring and then he will sleep another hour if i leave him - usually if i go in he is actually still asleep, just making noises. With frazer's size and age he should definitely be fine to go from 10 till 6 or 7, if he is ready and doesnt get upset/ cry hungry. I was thinking Tadhg might be into infant nappies by our next box (we have about 4 or 5 days worth left) but maybe not if Frazer is only just in his. We're getting weighed etc by plunket on Tuesday but i doubt he is much over 4kg yet and long and skinny. So one more box of newborn size might be in order :)
Janine - glad to hear the jabs went relatively ok - its hard to see them scream isnt it - even if it is only for a minute. Grecian style wedding dress sounds beautiful, i can picture it. You'll be fine with the weight loss once you start exercising no doubt! I'm feeling ok, but very squishy - i only put on 10kilos and lost 7 before i left the hospital but still have a long way to go as its all sitting on my waist/hips and my tummy is mush now - in fact i cant remember when i last did some weights. Can't wait to get into some walking and exercise now i'm recovered from mastitis. Wow, i hadn't even thought about when i might be pregnant again - only that i would be before too long. Actually thinking about what month you might try again brings a new dimension huh! :) We're going to see how we go, but 18 months - 2 years age gap sounds like a good plan to me too.
Sangie - i've unwrapped all the cot and change table, but havent put the cot together yet, as DH is away this week for work so will wait till he gets home. It does look like its going to be really nice though. So cool having a change table after 8 weeks of floor changing! Man it sounds like you're having a rough couple of days with E! A sling sounds like a good idea. I resorted to a daytime nap in our bed with T this week and then slipped out after 1 1/2 hours and he stayed there for about 40 minutes by himself completely out to it.
Ruth - i'd be interested to hear how you are going with breast and bottle, i'm trying that at the moment due to lack of milk and finding it a bit tricky. If bub is just over 4 weeks he is a bit younger than others, so 4 hours is still a good effort for sleeping. Wont be long until he is doing 6 or 7 :)
Sanchez - how frustrating is it when you just think bub is in a routine and then they have a grouchy day. It can really drain your energy, hope V is being easier now!
Taurean - thats great news about the feeding. It can be so frustrating, so i really hope this new pill does the trick and gives you the confidence to enjoy feeding again :) Great news about the weight gain too!
AFU - we had a hard few days this week. Tadhg was so unsettled during the day he wouldn't sleep for more than 15 mins without crying or at least grizzling. I thought he must have just decided not to sleep during the days anymore. My mum came and stayed as DH is away, and she said he seemed to be hungry - after a bottle of formula he fell asleep and started getting happier. I now suspect my milk supply hasnt been able to keep up, since the mastitis etc and probably a growth spurt, and when i thought he was full he was actually just worn out trying to get any milk out of me - then overtired and hungry and not able to sleep. Man, what a mess. Yesterday he slept from 2pm until 8pm with just half an hour of forced wake time while i tried to get a feed into him, then after a feed, bath, top-up feed and cuddle he went down at 10:30 and woke at 6am. Man he must have been tired! Today we had only little sleeps this morning, but again went down about 2, had to force a feed into him at 4:30 while he slept and i put him straight back into his cot. It seems a bit strange to me - but as long as he is happy, and sleeping at night! Hmm hang on he is waking up now, time to play i guess :)
Kelly :D
Ahoy :)
Sanchez - I know it seems so soon, I don't even really want to think about it yet... but DF and I both want the kids to be no more than 2 years apart and who knows, maybe I wont fall pregnant first time we try next time :p An elliptical machine is sort of like a step machine, but more like a jogging motion. The great thing about them is they are a low impact machine, much better on your feet, ankles and knees than a treadmill is. I hear you on the food bizzo, I had to stop buying chocolate coz I can still sit down in one hit and eat the whole block lol. I've lost 12kgs so far, 8 - 10 more would be nice. I've given up looking for breastfeeding tops, I just buy ones that I can pull the straps down on now - now i'm expressing full time though I just wear whatever and take it off when i'm home alone lol.
Taurean - You amaze me, seriously... your determination is something else! You've had nearly every BFing issue in the book and yet you're still hanging in there. Wow, well done! And congrats on the weight gain! Aren't the smiles beautiful? Emily is trying to figure out how to laugh now, the sounds she gets trying are hilarious.
Kelly - My tummy is mush too, It's pretty flat when i'm standing but as soon as I sit a few rolls appear out of nowhere lol. Emily went through an odd week at 7 weeks, seemed weird to me as well all the sleeping. Then she had a day where her left leg went limp and floppy and she wouldn't use it so I actually took her to hospital last Sunday, they checked her out and couldn't find anything wrong. They said it's normal for babies to spend a day or 2 sleeping non-stop after a growth spurt.
Ruth - How'd you go with the belly button thing?
Well it's official, DF's roster is changing and he will now be away 2 weeks at a time, and home 1 week in between. I'm devestated and don't know how i'll cope for so long without him. :( It'll feel like he's never home. I'm still expressing full time and just keeping up with her, I'm aiming to up my supply this week as I think it's dwindled a bit and she's started drinking alot more each time now.
Hope everyone else is doing well, gtg, the baby be crying!
Janine xx
Hi Everyone
I wont be able to get on here as much as I would like anymore..the reality of having 3 kids under 3. Even though we are at my parents house and have extra help there still doesnt seem to be much spare time in between feeds, changing, playing and household duties. :juggle:
My personal advise about the space between your kids would be to wait at least 12mnths before getting pregnant again...yes there are pros with having kids close but I look back and wish I had spent more time enjoying baby no.1 before being pregnant again so soon and being preoccupied with that and being to tired etc Thats my personal opinion anyway not everyone will agree
Indigo is 4kg now and is fully bottle fed, she is sleeping quite well at night Im not sure whether its her or that Im more relaxed as a mum this time around. I gotta go its the boys bath time and they are not happy. Bye for now
Nicola - I guess the reason for me is that I have 3 sisters, and all 4 of us girls were under 2 years apart and it was fantastic for us growing up, we could play together and were at school together etc. I realise it will be hard work, but for us it's what we want to do... I know it wont take away the love I have and the enjoyment I get from watching Emily grow, and it will be great seeing them grow up together. We want a 3rd within 2 years of the 2nd as well. My DF has a big gap between him and his brother and was always too old to enjoy the same things and to really enjoy each other as siblings. We're starting to try again in June/July in the hope of falling pregnant within a couple of months trying.
I have an absolute angel on my hands this last week. She has been pretty good for awhile but is really stuck into a routine now. She feeds at exactly the same times every day and is always asleep by midnight, and gives me at least 7 - 9 hours sleep every night. I am so grateful and lucky, so my mum keeps telling me! I realise it's unrealistic to think she'll always be like this, but as long as she keeps this up most of the time it'll be heaven! She still has an unsettled period at night between her 7 & 11pm feeds, but during the day usually only cries if i'm taking too long to get her food, or she wants to be put to bed.
Everyone is different I guess when it comes to timing of siblings.
Nicola- I understand where you are coming from in regards to the amount of work and being tired and preoccupied. My SIL has 3 kids under 5 and I have seen first hand how she copes, but really doesn't give enough attention to each child, especially now that the last was a girl after 2 boys. It is awful to see her put the boys in childcare and only take her "besotted" daughter on outings etc. I'm not saying everyone is like her but I think they just wanted too much too soon and it really shows in the kids behaviour and temprement that they're Mum simple doesn't have enough time to share between them equally. She still thinks cause she is 25 that she can have a social life where she stays out all ours of the night, numerous nights a week while family members look after all 3 kids. Just breaks my heart.
Janine- Am not even considering trying for another child for at least another 2/12 3 years! Hopefully by then I have enough Long service leave up to take some extra on top of my maternity leave and would really like Frazer to be able to be old enough to be helpful and understand what's going on. Obviously you are really close to your sisters and want the same for Emily, which is nice.
It's funny though cause my DH and I experienced the exact opposite to you and your DF.
My sis and I are 2 years apart and really have never been that close. When we were littler maybe but from about 12 and onwards we kinda did our own thing and went in really seperate directions in high school. My DH and his oldest bro are 16 months apart and again, never really bonded the way you would think siblings so close together would. Especially once they hit high school. Now he can't stand the sight of him (for reasons I won't get into. one being the SIL i spoke about before) yet is really enjoying socialising and feels closer to his youngest brother that has just turned 18 and they're 9 years apart!
Everyone's different and I reckon as long as they're gonna be loved to bits it doesn't matter when the next one arrives. :grouphug:
Taurean, you are an absolute champ continuing with the BF after all your troubles. I hope the new pill will solve your pain prob and it is smooth sailing from now on.
Kelly, I hope your supply recovers soon.
Janine, that work roster sucks. Do you have other family close by? Must get quite lonely with him away so often.
Nicola, my computer time has been the biggest loser in adjusting to life with 2 kids, there just isn't as much spare time to get on here now. Hope all is going well in Brissy.
Sanchez, you have hit upon the secret to enjoying your baby - having the serenity to accept that which you cannot change. Do you think she will be more settled when she gets the brace off? It must be a bit uncomfortable not being able to stretch out and kick around. One of the girls in my Sept 07 buddies group did some modelling for some BF clothing - her name is Ginger if you PM her she will tell you the brand.
Sangie, I hope E is settling a bit better now, it is rough when they have a 'mum must hold me at all times' day when you have other things that you need to do.
Pooley, sounds like F's sleeping is going really well. I am still wearing maternity stuff, my other pants fit on but I still have too much belly wobble to do any of them up. If only I would stop eating chocolate and biscuits all day long I might fit back into them.
Ruth, still only getting 3-4 hours at a time here too.
PB, hope you found a dress that hides all the tummy flab. I am thinking of investing in some of those gut sucker undies to keep it all hidden lol
Age spacing - I am loving the age gap between my two, which is 5 days short of two years. William is old enough to understand and do what I tell him (most of the time) and is capable of independent play when I am busy with Amelia. He is also mostly past the tanty stage and is quite helpful with the baby.
All is well here. I am finding having two children far easier than I was imagining. It helps that W is a very good boy, he does have his moments but is generally well behaved. Amelia is a very cruisy baby too, she doesn't cry except if she wants fed/picked up and I can usually put her in the swing/on the couch and do a few jobs before she cracks it.
I do remember the days when W was a newborn, when it would take forever to get ready to go anywhere - feed him, change him, then he would have a nap (heaven forbid that I should wake him! lol), another feed, another change and we would be out the door 1.5 hours after I started lol. He was bathed religiously every night and I held him for his naps if he wouldn't stay asleep in his cot. Poor Amelia gets carted around regardless of whether she is asleep or awake because W has activities to go to etc, she has a shower with me every second day (with W in the bath below us - bathtime is a family affair here) and if she needs to sleep she either stays sleeping on the couch when I plonk her down there or she goes in the sling. Second children just have to fit in lol
Hi girls and bubs!
Taurean - you are doing a great job with keeping up the bf hun, well done and fingers crossed that these new pills do the trick!
Art - bathtime is a family affair here too lol! I figure its faster and easier for all of us to just hop in together. Only problem I have is gettting DD out, she absolutely loves the shower.
Kelly - I hope your supply picks up soon. I think I've had the same issues and may explain why E has been so unsettled. Having mastitis and then a cold has really affected my supply.
Ruth - lovely to hear from you!
Sanchez - I just wear stretchy tops that can be pulled up easily and a belly band to hide my tummy flab. I'm more worried about flashing my flabby belly than a nipple!
Janine - bummer about your DF's roster but lucky you that your little girl is in such a good routine! She must know that her mummy needs her to be well behaved when Daddy is away lol!
Pooley - I'm dying to do some exercise too. Just don't know when I'm going to fit it in yet.
PB - good luck finding a dress!
Nicola - I think you are doing an amazing job with having 3 littlies and still getting on here occasionally!
As for age gaps I think there are pros and cons to having them close or further apart. There are 2 years 3 months between my two and to be honest I wouldn't want them any closer than that. DD is at a great age where she can play on her own while I feed and she understands that sometimes she needs to be patient while I attend to her little brother. We aren't planning any more kids but if we were I would definitely be waiting at least another 2 years. Just my two cents worth!
Hi Girls!
Second attempt at posting while Miss Izzy is snoozing - finally! Damn computer froze before. Grrr.
Sangie - I hope your supply gets back on track soon hon. I didn't get mastitis (touch wood!) but I know all about supply issues and it sucks! Hopefully little E starts getting a fuller belly soon
Art - cute pics on FB! I love that one of the two kids asleep. What a champion mum you are! I am super impressed at how often you pop into our thread while juggling two kids. Nice work
Pooley - how's Frazer doing? Glad to hear the waking him for feeds worked at shifting his long overnight sleep to a more reasonable time slot! I'm going to try it with Izzy tonight. She did almost 7 hours between feeds last night but sadly it was from 7pm - 1.45 so I missed half of the precious sleep time as my parents were over for dinner. Bugger!! At least I know she can do it, now we just need to push it out a little later.
Janine - must say I'm very jealous of Emily's sleeps!! Izzy has it in her (see above) but I just need to move her sleep to a more appropriate time slot. LOL. As for your supply, can you get Emily back on the breast yet? She will help increase your supply again, a lot more than a breast pump will.
Nicola - you've done so well getting on here as much as you have. I'm struggling to post and I only have on child to look after!! Indigo sounds like she is doing really well and I'm pleased to hear that your move went well and you have extra help close by now. I am SO glad my parents moved to Perth last year. I don't know where I'd be without them.
Sanchez - how's Violet going? Bet you're super excited about the brace coming off! Will she fit into some of her smaller clothes she hasn't worn yet once it's off? As for breastfeeding clothes, I'm pretty much hanging out in Bonds maternity singlet tops and shorts, skirts or jeans. In the cooler weather, I've been wearing my long sleaved mat tops which are actually really nice and reasonably flattering so I don't mind. It is hard looking at all my nice clothes in my 'pre-baby' wardrobe though and knowing they are just too hard to tackle while breast feeding.
Kelly - Izzy has had quite a few days like you described Tadhg having and they were due to my low supply. We are still working on increasing my supply (we have doubled my does of Motillium as of yesterday) so hopefully it will happen very soon. Izzy is a right piglet so she has at least one formula top up a day, often more. I had to give her a bottle of formula this morning as she breast fed pretty much constantly for two hours and kept waking when I put her down so I gave her a bottle and she has been asleep now for almost 2 hours. Woohoo!!
Ruth - welcome and congrats on the arrival of your little man! Did you get the belly button issue sorted? One of the baby boys in my mothers group had a strange belly button and it turns out he (or his belly!) was actually trying to reattach with his mum!!! So bizarre but not that uncommon apparently.
AFU - thanks so much for all your supportive words girls, you are all so lovely! It's been a damn hard slog for Izzy and I but I think we are getting there. My nipples are still sore but I think that's a combination of the vasospasm and BFing in general. Most new mums I have spoken to are experiencing very sore nipples too. So much for the 'breast feeding shouldn't hurt' line I've heard numerous times. It sounds more normal for it to hurt than not! Most of the mums in my mothers groups are experincing pain and BF issues - boy was I glad to hear all their stories and know I'm not alone at all!
We have our 6 week checkups tomorrow - OB and PD. Hopefully things are all ok with both of us. I'm hoping my OB can give me a script for the new drugs I need so I can get onto of the vasospasm. I'm so tired of going to the doctors! Seriously, I've spent more money on doctors and at the chemist in the past 5 weeks than I have in the entire year! Crazy.
We had our first mothers group last week and it was fantastic! We have about 17 in our group and I hit it off with about 4 girls immediately so that was great. Really looking forward to our next session this Wednesday.
The weather has finally improved in WA (was so hot on Saturday - 37 degrees!!) so I plan on getting back into my walking again. I've always been a big fan of exercise but struggled during pregnancy due to all the back, pelvis and groin pain I experienced. It will be so good to get back into it again and get back into shape. I'm actually quite happy with my post-pregnancy body. I only gained 10kg and had lost all that by the 5 week mark so I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight which is great. I do have a 'muffin-top' for the first time in my life though so I'm keen to get rid of that. I fit into a lot of my old clothes but some of them are a little tight in the boob area. Oh, and the muffin top isn't such a great look in my skinny jeans. LOL!
Izzy is going well but I'm struggling a little to get her to sleep during the day unless she's in the pram (so at the shops or our walking - it must be moving), in the car seat or in someones arms. I think she's still been a bit unsettled due to my boob issues and low supply so hopefully that should all improve with the new meds. We upped my does of Motillium yesterday so she should be getting more milk within a few days. I'm more than happy to give her formula to fill her up though and I'm so glad she's more than happy to take a bottle. What a godsend!
Izzy is sleeping brilliantly at night but tends to do her massive stretch (between 5-7 hours) from 7pm so I tend to miss a good chunk of it as I'm having a bit of 'me' time once she goes down. I'm going to attempt to move that big sleep to a later time though by waking her for a last feed around 9.30pm. Hopefully that works. Izzy has a tendancy to start her day around 4.30am too which is a real pain. Given she has that massive sleep earlier on though, it's not surprising that she is wide awake by 4.30ish. Fingers crossed it will sort itself out if we can push out her long sleep to a later time slot.
I was a bit worried over the weekend as Izzy hadn't pooped for 3 days but low and behold, it came thundering out yesterday morning. It started small in her nappy but then she downloaded the rest of it on the change table. There was so much of it I had to call for backup! DH came armed with plastic bags to dispose of the mess. It was like a very stinky version of Mr Whippy! DH decided to nickname our poor little girl 'Stinkerbel' after that episode. It really was hilarious.
When are we planning our next baby? Not for a good couple of years! We had always planned to have roughly 3 years between our kids and we are definitely sticking with that plan. My sister and I are 2.5 years apart and my bro and I are 3.5 years and that was good growing up as kids. I want to enjoy not being pregnant for a while before I consider any more kids and more than anything, I really want to savour the time I have with Isobel. Not saying you can't do that with more kids but I just want to be able to give Izzy all my attention while she is little.
Well that's enough from me. I'm off to upload a few pics of 'Stinkerbel' into FB while she is STILL sleeping. Oh this is bliss to have some 'me' time during the day!!
Ciao girls!
PS: here's a link to Isobel's photos on FB. I'll be adding more photos within the hour hopefully. Feel free to 'befriend' me if you haven't done so already.

Wow, its been so busy in here!
Lovely pics Taurean, it looks like Izzy's eyes are a dark greyish blue still very much like Charlottes. I can't figure out what colour they will go?! Lol about the poop. Charlotte only does one a day and its usually at the same time each day. I think up to a week between poops is pretty normal as well!
Art, that's great having the two kids is going so smoothly! Its sounds like they are very relaxed little ones.
That sucks about DF's roster Janine, he is really going to miss Emily :( It must be really hard. I freak out if DH has a big week of hours and he gets home after 8!!
Kelly - I really feel for your with Tadhg's unsettled periods. Hang in there as the so called 7/8 week changes should be approaching. Does anything really happen during this time?? He may settle down then
Sangie and any of the other girls battling the tummy budge..its a bit of a shock hey.. I lost 8 kg in the first two weeks but these last 4 kg's are hanging on. I've really gotten stuck into the cheese and red wine since giving birth so I'm sure that hasn't helped!! Lol.
I did find a great plain LBD that seems to cover the tum and I have lots of flowy dresses and tops ready to go for our holiday.
Our first plane trip!!eeek.. hope all goes ok! :)
AFU - Lottie had her needles today and was such a brave girl! I just hated the look of shock on her face at first, it was heartbreaking.
We are pretty much on 100% formula now. My supply has really dropped off since finishing the motilium but she is now 4.04kgs so we are thrilled. At least she got the breast milk for the first 6 weeks and I'm really trying to squeeze a bit more out.
Anyway, better run.. desperate for a cup of tea and a good chat with DH! :)
PB - sorry hon, just realised I'd left you off my post! Things sound wonderful at your end! Lottie looks adorable in your ticker, would love to see more pics of her. She sounds like a little angel! Which formula are you using and how much and how many feeds? We are topping up with S26 Gold. Izzy lives it but we haven't tried anything else. No point changing a good thing I guess! Izzy's eyes are a dark grey too so we are thinking theyllbe dark brown eventually as both DH and Ihave dark brown eyes. Can't wait to see how they turn out and how her hair turns out too for that matter! DH and I both have brown hair and were both born dark but both went blonde until we were 3 so anything is possible for Isobel I guess!
Well after my whinge about Izzy not sleping well during the day, she ended up sleeping for 4 hours this afternoon! Woohoo! The bottle of formula must have hit the spot for her.
Must run. I have a snoozy bubs in my arms. Night all!
Hey there, we're feeding with nestle nan 1ha gold and at this stage she's still on 6 feeds a day of between 120ml to 180ml depending on the time of day (the last feed of the day is usually a big one). She seems to like it and no problems so far :)
My supply is pretty much gone. I have her one last breast feed even though she didn't get much. I felt very sad bf wasn't 100% sucessful for me but I have to move on.. :(
As you can see Lottie has a massive amount of hair! I was exactly the same when I was born and mines very very thick so I know that's what she's probably in for as well! lol
My eyes are hazel and DH dark blue so it will be interesting to see what will happen but I'm thinking more like mine at this stage as I would have thought they'd be really blue by now.
Hope everyone's doing well! :)
Hi
We are using Nestle HA Gold too, apparently I have been told that this is the closest formula to breastmilk as the proteins are broken down. Not that any formula is comparable to breastmilk.
Indigo's eyes are still very blue so Im thinking they will stay that way. Zanders are blue and Wyatts are brown...Dh is brown and Im blue. Interesting considering blue is the recessive gene.
:hello: Hi everyone!!! Sorry I have been MIA for what seems like aaaaaaaages!!! We've been busy with Jackson and when I think I have 5 minutes I get busy doing something. You know what its like lol
Taurena and Sangie Im pleased your boobies are better and the Mastitis has cleared. I also had mastitis and know its not terribly pleasant
Jackson and I are going well. Jackson is generally a very pleasant and content baby and is feeding generally 3 hourly. Sometimes he may go half an hour either side of that but for the most part he is 3 hourly. He is a great night sleeper too, thankfully. He generally cluster feeds from 6 - 9pm and is then down to sleep from 9pm to 3am. We are very lucky :)
Yesterday we had Jackson's 2 month jabs. Thankfully Dh took him in for them but I could still hear him crying from outside the surgery  And I still managed to cry when I went to rescue him and give him booby :( Gawd I hope it gets easier as he gets older  Then last night he was really unsettled which got me upset because he was probably in a bit of pain from the jabs :( argh it breaks my heart but its a necessary evil!!! I eventually gave in and DH gave him some paracetmol and he was much better after that so we'll be doing that next time if he is the same. Thankfully he has been much better today
I hope everyone else is going well? I have finally managed to update our list except for a few that I am unsure of the details. I hope I have everyone's details correct. Let me know if not :)
Brisbany ladies, I'd be keen for a catch up too. I dont mind when or where except I dont have a car at the moment as DH was in an accident yesterday (he's ok thankfully) so now we are 1 car down until its fixed.
Gah that post took me 2 hours to type up and post lol. Jackson did the biggest poo explosion and I needed to get in the shower too

Just a quickie while she has her eyes closed.
I have given up on trying to give her a bottle - after trying 4 diffrent brands with the "new and you beaut teats" she wont touch any of them. Looks like I am breastfeeding solely...would have been nice though to give my boobs a break!
We took V's brace off today - a week early but her hips are fine and I was really concerned as it had been cutting off circulation to her legs and has broken capillaries in her legs and has left nasty looking marks - I hope they fade in time.
So I can actually see what a baby feels like! She is super floppy...moving heaps more. I swear she tried to crawl! So strange.
Eyes are open and crying - gotta run
Hi ladies, just a quick question. Is everyone waiting for bubs 8 week jabs to get their and DP's whooping cough booster? I was thinking of going earlier but wasn't sure.
Wen't to visit the MW that delivered Frazer today. She was so touched that we came to visit that I'm really glad we went. We had a good chat about what happened post birth as she kinda wasn't kept in the loop. She thinks that I should have a good chance at a natural birth next time and says the likely hood of having the same side affect from the epi would be very slim. Good news if I go that way next time.
She weighed Frazer as well. I guessed he'd be pushing 6 kgs.... He was 6.08kg with clothes, official weight is 5.92kgs! Which is still heavier than his 13 wk old cousin!!! Holy Moley!!
Hi All,
Nicola - DH is a pharmacist and is recommending the nestle nan because as you said its meant to be the closest to BM. It's going down really well with Lottie even though the green poos are a bit freaky to start with!,
Sanchez - Congrats on taking V's brace off! It must be wonderful for her to be able to move around now. :)
Pooley - Lottie had her jabs on Monday at 6 weeks and I had my whooping cough the same day. DH and the grandparents all had theirs done about 2 months ago.
Hi Bob, nice to hear from you! Glad to hear you and Jackson are going well. I have a good sleeper also and am hoping it continues. :)
AFU, Charlotte had a very unsettled few hours tonight. 5pm - around 8pm is always a bit of a challenge as she grizzles (which is ok by us as she is an angel the rest of the time :) ) but tonight she was really screaming and I had to nurse her constantly. I hope its not this 7 week change..
To make matters worse DH came home after a very long and taxing day and was the worst grump. I in turn got all teary when he snapped at me without meaning too.. anyways I still feel a bit crappy and am thinking we need a nice dinner out just the two of us to catch up properly. Really looking forward to our holiday this Friday!
Hope everyone is well!! :)
Holey Moley is right Pooley - well done on Frazer's weight ;-) impressive stuff. Tadhg, who is 2 weeks older weighed in at 4.16kg on Tuesday :) He is way on the bottom of the Plunket weight graphs (3rd percentile) but strangely for head size he is 85th% ! Apparently i was the same as a baby, and i dont have a big head now - must just be the shape. Haha - he looks ok to me! I don't know about the whooping cough vaccine - it must be in Australia only? Although my plunket nurse did say they were expecting a break out of it this year for some reason. So we wont be getting any vaccines.
PB - Tadhg is doing much better now we got past those rough couple of days, and making sure to top him up if he is still hungry. We still have grouchy times, but he's really pretty good. Hope Lottie gets through this tough stage too - my bet is on that she will return to the angel you know in a couple of days :) Thanks for advice on formula, we might try nan next time.
Sanchez - congrats on the brace coming off! I can imagine what it will be like for you learning to hold V etc now, they seem so fragile - but it wont take long for her muscle tone and your confidence to develop :) Exciting to see how she goes.
AFU - Tadhg had a bit of a grouchy evening, and then really cried /screamed after a bath - which he has only done 4 times ever. DH was quite impressed by the volume! He was so overtired poor little guy. So we made the decision to top him up with formula, even though it had only been 1.5 hours since the last feed and put him down. He went to sleep at 9pm, and woke at 6am! woohoo. Shame i still woke up about 4 times, but at least not for long each time. So glad the last 3 nights of semi-waking at 4am (not awake but crying from wind in his sleep) might be over! Yay. Bring on the good sleeping.
Sanchez, it is great the brace finally came off. Was it satisfying to give her a good scrub when you took it off? A will try to push herself along when she is on her tummy too.
Pooley, that is good to know that the chance of the epi headache again is very low. F is doing really well.
PB, we had a grizzly day the other day here, usually she is so sedate but she only slept for 1.5 hours all day so was rather cranky and by midnight she was exhausted. She was up every two hours for the couple of nights beforehand and is now back to 4-5 hours at night so I assume it was the 6 week growth spurt.
BOB, thanks for doing up the list. Am I totally crazy or were you moving to the US soon?
Taurean, massive post! Well done. Izzy is adorable on FB. Have you started on the new tablets yet? I hope they are making a difference. You deserve something to go right in the boob department after all you have been through.
Kelly, Amelia is the opposite - she is high up on the plunket graphs for weight but her head didn't even make the bottom of the graph lol. I have a little head though, it is a great trait to pass on to my children lol
Nicola, hope you are o.k. You 'sound' really tired in your posts.
We had a plunket check the other day, Amelia is now 58cm long and 5.1kgs. She is doing really well, lots more smiles now (although she saves most of them for DH!).
Pooley..Im pretty sure that we were meant to get the whooping cough vaccine when bubs was born or as soon after...so they dont catch it in the 2mnths before their vaccination. I had been meaning to get it but of course didnt get around to it.
Taurean - I tried to put her back on the breast when I couldn't get more than 110mls EBM a few nights ago, straight back to the same excruciating pain. I put up with it for 10mins each side but she wasn't getting anything, screamed and started getting frantic so I ended up giving her 50mls formula for the first time to top her up, she went straight to sleep after that. Haven't needed formula since, but i'm only JUST keeping up with her feeds by expressing every hour. I'm thinking about chatting to the GP about Motilium to increase my supply as it looks like i'll be expressing awhile longer yet.... does it work? I've been using fenugreek but only for about 24hrs so far so haven't seen a difference yet. Love seeing your pics on FB too! So cute!
PB - Yeah DF misses her heaps while he's away, I think it's really hard for him knowing that he can't be here to help out and see her grow. She's started "sort of" trying to laugh now, he tol;d me to tell her she's not allowed to do her first proper laugh til he gets home. Emily's eyes are very blue now, so I think blue it is.... makes sense considering DF & I both have blue eyes though. Her hair is starting to lighten up now too. Good luck with the plane trip! We're thinking of heading up to North Qld to check out our wedding venue but are still umming and ahhing about whether to drive, fly... or whether to go at all!
BOB - how awful are the jabs!!! I got DF to hold her but I still cried lol. Should arrange a Brissy meet up considering there's a few of us here. Where is Brisbane are you?
Sanchez - Must be so great to finally have the brace off! She must feel so free now :)
Pooley - 6kgs!!! I'm impressed... he's taken over Emily in leaps and bounds now! I'm having her weighed again today, fingers and toes crossed for me. I've had a ****ty couple of days, was hoping to get to see you today or tomorrow but I don't if that will happen :( I know DF is home tomorrow (big woohoo!!!!!) but I might come round and see you Monday or Tuesday anyway if you're free. btw, I ate most of the rest of that cream bun you brought over... by myself, lol. I want to go see my MW who delivered Emily, but didn't know if i should or not. You've motivated me to do so though. :)
Nicola - I only got my whooping cough vaccine done 2 weeks ago, and I questioned the fact that she'd be having her shots in 2 weeks anyway.... I was told that the shots are a set of 3, 2 months apart each so she wouldn't be fully immunised until 6 months old, and would be suseptable to whooping cough up until her last lot at 6 months... so we got ours done.
Kelly - What a great sleep! Emily did 9 hours last night from 10.30pm - 7.30am, she's been sleeping so well, we're stoked.
Art - I had emily measured the other week, but they didn't tell me where on the charts she is :( Good to hear Amelia is doing well,! :) How are you coping with 2 bubs?
I've been feeling a bit crappy the last 2 days... i'm really unhappy that I'll only get DF home 1 week in every 3... this means that he is away from home for 8 months of the year when you add it all up! I wish it didn't have to be that way, and I hope that it isn't going to be like this forever because I'll go crazy.
I'm still stressing about trying to get enough EBM for Emily, I am only just keeping up with her feeds and so desperately want to get ahead and have a good supply stored but it just doesn't want to happen for me. I have this aim to make it to 6 months with EBM before swapping to formula but I think that goal will be unattainable. I'm just going to keep going as long as I can and see what happens.
Emily is doing really well, she's so happy most of the time now and has lots of happy time through the day where she likes to play on her swing or lay in her cot and watch the mobile. She squeals when she's very excited and it's so cute to hear. I finally found an awesome night nappy which easily outlasts her very long sleep, she's such a heavy wetter. She's starting to enjoy her bathtime a bit more now.
I have heaps of pics on my FB so if you're interested click here
Sorry if I missed anyone, hope everyone else and bubs are well!
Janine xx
Wow its busy in here, I can't keep up!
Taurean - how are the new pills going hun? Hopefully they do the trick for you. YAY for having a great mother's group. I still meet up with a couple of girls from my mother's group with DD and its so nice to have all our littlies grow up together!
Bob - sounds like your little guy is going really well. Thanks for the updated list :D
Nicola - I've heard the same things about Nan so we are using that for top up feeds.
Kelly - what a huge sleep! Fingers crossed you get lots more nights like that one!
Janine - wow your little princess is a great sleeper too. My DH travels a lot for work too but not as much as yours. So I can sympathise, sucks doesn't it?
Sanchez - yay for getting the brace off! Did you scrub her heaps lol!
Art - we are getting lots of smiles too! I love the gummy smiles :D
Pooley - 6kg is awesome! Can he still fit into 000's or is he officially a 00 boy now?
Ethan is doing really well at nights too now. He generally sleeps from around 11.30pm to 6-6.30am and then back down till around 9am. Fingers crossed he can keep it up! He still feeds 2.5-3 hourly during the day and unfortunately I'm still struggling with supply. I've tried fenugreek but haven't really noticed much difference so I'm going to give motilium a go.
It's a gorgeous day here today so I'm off for a walk. Hope you are all well xoxo
