Janine We are up near Chermside (northside) but dont mind travelling to meet somewhere central. Yep the jabs are terrible, breaks my heart every time but I know it needs to be done :(
Pooley I had my whooping cough jab at our 6 week check with our Dr. I should have asked for Swine Flu as well but totally forgot about it. But will see how it goes before I get that jab I think. And Wow Frazer is going great, go you :D
Hehe Art not me hun, I think it may have been Lily J (correct me if Im wrong)?
sangie thats great Ethan is a great sleeper too. I hope your supply increases. Im sure you have but have you tried expressing between feeds to up your supply?
My Moby Wrap finally arrived today after waiting almost a week for it to show up. Was not impressed from the place I ordered it from :shakehead: Jackson has been a little unsettled today so once its off the line and dry I'll be trying it out tonight :)
-
Kelly - So jealous of the long sleep!! That is fantastic! :) We are still doing the dream feed and the best we've had is 10.30 to 5am. I'm sure it won't be long until we get her sleeping though.
Art - over 5kg is fantastic!! I'm hoping Charlotte catches up to that soon since they were born the same day! She's currently at 4.04kg and in the 25th percentile so getting there :)
Janine - I would definately give Motilium a go as it worked very well for me. The only problem was when the LC started to wean me off it my supply dropped off daily until it was gone all together. Great pics as well. I'll update my FB after our holiday and post the link then.
AFU - We are looking forward to our trip and have just finished packing. My god for a weeks trip we have a truckload of things!! It took us so long to put the pram into the case as they make it only just big enough. So annoying.
We are absolutely loving Lottie's smiles, gurgles and little laughs. It's amazing how much time you can waste just staring and playing with them!! Can't believe she's 7 weeks old on Saturday. :)
Anyway, better run.. loving Beauty and the Geek and its on now! lol..
-
Can't believe I completely forgot about joining this thread considering Seth was born on 1/9.
Am in the midst of frantically packing as I'm moving tomorrow but just wanted to say a big hello and I'll come back later tonight to catch up on everyone's stories.

Hi everyone
BloominRoses welcome to the thread and congrats on Seth. I see he is 2 days corrected - he came a wee bit early didn't he! Would love to hear about your birth.
PB - I must have missed your post ? where are you heading off to? Somewhere lovely I hope. You will have to let us know if you discover something obscure that you should have taken, but didn?t. I am dreading packing for our week away next month ? who knows if you can buy nappies in Tonga? Pack everything and hope for the best I think! Jealous that C is giggling ? V has only just started smiling.
BOB ? I don?t live too far from you by the sounds of it! Thanks for the updates.
Sangie & Art? I didn?t scrub her too hard ? but she certainly doesn?t smell anymore! Sangie have you tried pumping after feeds to increase supply? That?s what I did and I think it?s helped.
Janine ? your photos are fantastic?I love seeing them on FB. How are you going without DF? I certainly feel for you ? you must have supportive family and friends? Is Emily drinking more is that why your concerned about not keeping up? Last time I think you said shes drinking 180mls? Is that right?that?s a lot to pump! Props to you!
Pooley ? OMG Frazer is a big boy! Is your DH tall and strapping ? maybe he will be like him! Your arms must be getting a workout! I wonder if his weight will plateau or if he will keep going?
AFU - had a bad day yesterday.....she wouldn't sleep at all. I think part of it is she is not used to being able to kick her legs and so she would start to drift off and then she would startle and wake herself up (swaddled or not). Think it will take some time until she gets used to not having the brace. so she wouldn't sleep or be put down, had to go to a physio appointment to check on the old pelvic floor muscles (still very weak - not cool), she screamed, had tears pouring down her face, so i started bawling and stayed like that all afternoon. then i felt ok and by DH made the mistake of pointing out my pudgy tummy - started bawling again.....not a good day! Finally she went to sleep at 8pm after being awake since 5.30am.......i felt like a woman on the edge!
Thank god today was better ;)
-
Sanchez - I hope you gave your DH a slap down for pointing out the tummy!! How insensitive! men, pfft sometimes they just don't think. I have a very supportive family all very close so i'm lucky... i think i'd be lost without my mum. She comes over for a couple of hours a couple of nights a week when DF is away to give me a break. Emily was drinking 125mls but is now on 160 - 180mls. I got a prescription for Motilium today to increase milk supply, hopefully it works! Sorry to hear about your crappy day, i get them sometimes too... especially when DF is away.
Bloomin Roses - Welcome to the group, would love to see pics of Seth!
I'm doing this one handed whilst expressing so just a short one from me.... Emily has gained another 260gms in 8 days so although the expressing is exhausting at least i know it's paying off. i'm taking fenugreek and start motilium tomorrow... hopefully these make a difference and i can get a good storage of milk happening.
DF is home!!!!!!! yay! Just got back from picking him up; from the airport so I have him all to myself for a week before he goes back to work again :)This means i'll have more time to express and shower and eat lol. I start Lite n Easy next week and have started an exercise regime in my quest to lose 8 - 10kgs, wish me luck!
Hugs to you all,
Janine xx
-
Janine, sounds like Emily is doing really well, I hope you can build up your supply a bit more.
Sanchez, we had one of those no sleep days a few days back. Makes for a very long day. And OMG what was your DH thinking pointing out your tummy? Especially on a rough day!
BOB, lol, must have got my wires crossed.
A discovered her tounge the other day and now we play at poking tounges at each other which makes her smile. Very cute.
-
Sanchez - big hugs to you! That sounds like a really rough day! I hope V has fallen back into routine since then and you are starting to feel a bit more human. Maybe this is the 7 week change / growth spurt a few of us have experienced - my advice would be to check she is really topped up with food, as she might be hungry for a couple of days - and then sleep for a couple of days. But i guess thats the fun of babies huh - you never know!
Janine - you are doing great keeping up with EBM for Emily! I wish i had the patience to do that, although I'm thinking it might not be such a bad idea, as T drinks faster from a bottle. A couple of thoughts on supply - apparently direct stimulation increases milk, you could try putting Em directly on the breast once a day or just letting her nuzzle around skin on skin after a feed; and my health nurse keeps asking if i'm drinking and eating enough - as that can have a big impact, so if you notice supply drop off with the diet and exercise plan you might need to increase again. But good on you for getting into the exercise :D my inspiration!
BloominRoses - welcome to the group, wow Seth was a really early bub. How is he going developmentally? Is he similar to his adjusted age, or already heading towards smiling etc? Would love to see pics and hear about how big he was and is now etc :)
Art - that is so cute that A found her tongue :) I've been trying to get T to copy me poking out my tongue for a week or so, but no interest yet, although he does think its funny.
AFU - We are still struggling with feeding and its taking an hour or so each time - partly because he falls asleep all the time, stops sucking, doesn't latch properly then gets winde from sucking air, then i need to make a bottle topup for half the feeds! It goes on! DH is home today and has seen what its like, along with me complaining of a sore back from trying to hold T in the right position - and we both agree it might not be worth continuing with the BFing. Although he did make a good suggestion which was using the rugby hold for the "slow" side because T definitely has a prefered side to lie on - and apart from the fact i can't work out how to sit comfortably while holding him sideways - he latched heaps better and sucked. So i'm going to try and suss this out. Sleeping is still going pretty well, with 6am wake ups the last few mornings, although i still hear him stirring with wind in his tummy a few times during the night. I'm thinking he will learn to get it under control / outgrow it - it doesnt seem to help hugely to wake up up and rub his back, so as long as he isnt in too much distress / actually awake...
We are having issues waking him for his last feed, possibly due to all the issues above he is actually just really tired - but he does have a bottle for the 9-10pm feed. I'm not sure what we can do about this one, maybe move the last feed earlier - as he seems to crash at 8pm regardless of the day he has had. Any ideas would be welcomed :)
Long weekend in NZ - yay!
-
BloominRoses, I forgot to welcome you. I have been following a bit of your story in other threads. I am so happy that things are looking up. Must be such a relief for you.
Kelly, before I had DS we had some friends complaining that their bub went to bed at 6pm and woke for the day at 4am and I was thinking 'just keep him up later...simple' lmao. Then I had DS and realised that you just can't keep a baby awake when they decide they need to go to sleep.
A quicky for those starting exercise programmes - it can mess with your supply so make sure you build up slowly. Hope you can figure out the hold, I attempted that once but couldn't manage it.
-
Hi Girls
Art - PMSL about keeping a baby awake. I thought the same thing before becoming a mum and yeah, I've since learnt that is just isn't that simple. Izzy nodded off for her big night sleep at 5.45pm last night and there was no stopping her. She was out to it!
Kelly - who would have thought feeding your baby could be so difficult! Izzy is much better now during the days but she is a shocker on the breast at night - fusses and pulls at my nipples which hurts like hell! I'm not sure why she keeps doing it at night but it's driving me mad and I often wind up giving her a bottle just to save my boobs. Our feeds generally take an hour too, sometimes longer. She is quicker during the day for some reason though. Izzy has wind too but seems to get most of it out on her own - she farts like a trooper! It's hilarious!
Janine - if you can do a bit of BF as well, it will help with your supply. Emily sounds like she's doing great though - well done! Just be aware that both dieting and exercise will have an affect on your supply and I'm not sure the drugs will make any difference in those circumstances.
Sanchez - how are you going hon? Izzy has been quite unsettled since last Wednesday night. I suspected it was a growth spurt and the health nurse agreed today. Do you think V was going through the same thing? There is a pretty major spurt between 6-8 weeks. How is she going now with the brace off? Must have been weird for all of you! Does she fit into smaller clothes now?
Bloominroses - welcome hon! How is little Seth doing???
PB - you are doing so well given your rocky start with the feeding issues! I sometimes wish I had just switched to fulltime formula and saved myself all the stress with my BF issues. Lottie sounds adorable. I hope you're having a fabulous holiday. Can't wait to hear how it went and what you packed/forgot to pack!!
BoB - how's Jackson? Did the sling work well? We've only just started using our Bubba Moe with Izzy and she loves it. Nods off every time! She looks so uncomfy in it though but I guess she can't be if it sends her off to sleep. Slings are a damn good invention
Sangie - how's Ethan going lately? Sounds like he is an awesome sleeper! Very jealous!
Pooley - Frazer is doing brilliantly!! Have you got some pics we can see? What size is he in now?! As for the whooping cough, I had my booster before leaving the hossi (my OB arranged it) and DH needs to get his soon - must get onto that.
Hi everyone else!
AFU - We suspect Izzy has been doing through a growth spurt as she has been quite unsettled since last Wednesday night. She seems a lot better today though so hopefully she's coming out the other side. She has been super clingy and very hard to settle for her day sleeps - lots of crying from both her and I! Mum and I attempted a shopping trip last Thursday which turned out to be a disaster. Izzy ended up screaming blue murder and I wound up in tears so mum took us both back to her place and sent us to bed. It was so good to catch up on some much needed sleep.
Izzy was doing well with her night sleeps but that has changed with the growth spurt too. She's back to 4-5 hours between feeds at night (which is still great, I know!) and still waking at 5am to start her day. That is driving me nuts but the health care nurse said it's quite normal as they tend to tune in with nature. Bloody birds and no day light savings!!! Oh well, I'm sure 'this too will pass'.
On a brighter note, our little girl has grown again!! She had her 6-8 week checkup today and her stats are now:
- weight: 3960 (was 2962 at birth)
- length: 53.8cm (was 49cm at birth)
- HC: 38cm (was 34cm at birth)
It's any wonder she's been a bit out of sorts with all this growing going on! It's nice to know that all our hard work with feeding is paying off. Finally.
We had a bad night last night which was mainly due to the heat and both of us being overtired so we've had a lazy day in bed today. We have literally being lying around since 10am this morning. I managed to get a couple of hours of sleep and a lot of rest and Izzy is clocking up 4 hours and still going! She really needed the extra zzz's too obviously. I hope this is another sign the growth spurt may be over. Will be interesting to see how she sleeps tonight.
We had our newborn photos taken on Saturday and Izzy was brilliant. Was a right show-off for the camera and was awake for the entire session! She managed to wee on both DH and I (separately) too. Classic. We are going through all our photos this weekend (pregnacy and newborn/family) so hopefully I'll have some to show you guys within a week.
Better run and check on our sleeping beauty again. Thank god she is sleeping properly again. Woohoo!!
xx

Hi all!
I have been lurking around, but haven't posted in a while.
Taurean - Sounds like you are going through what Ava has just started to go through... Unsettled and clingy. Refuses to go to sleep and then gets grizzly and overtired. I might have to get our sling out if she stays clingy, but I tried it on the weekend with her, and I find it comfy but doing much in front of me is hard... but it might be that I just need some practice.
I put her down after her bottle this morning, and she was quiet for 5 mins, so I thought "great! I can have a shower". As soon as I got in she screamed.. mind you it was fake crying.... so I let her go, and I think she wore herself out. She started up again once I finished and I put the dummy in and she is now happily off in la la land, mouth wide open. Feel bad for making her cry, but I got OB and normal docs to go to today as well as mothers group... And I really feel like taking a page out of your book and having an all day bed day! That sounds really good to me right now!
We are now on full time formula. I gave the last of the EBM over the weekend and Im happy. MHN said that she has gotten all the needed nutrients and antibodies etc over the first month, so has got a good start. We had a weigh in yesterday arvo and Ava is now 4.88 kg (10 pound something) and is 54 cm long! She was 3.2 kg when born, so is a little guts when it comes to food. She is taking anywhere from 120 - 180mls each feed. Sometimes she will guts 180 down for two or so feeds in a row. Im guessing that it is the days when she is having a growth spurt.
We went to Point Lonsdale (Vic coast near geelong) for a long weekend. I have discovered you can't pack light when you got a bubba! Prams, sling, bedding, clothes, nappies.... And the list goes on. But I have to say, for her to be in a strange enviroment, she really coped well, and slept well! I got 9 hrs out of her one night! but I think that was a fluke. The last day we hopped on the Queenscliffe - Sorrento Ferry and went home the long way via a friends place and from their place to home she was fast asleep! So I really can't complain too much about her at all!
Hope you ladies are all doing well. I must get organised to get to the GP, and hopefully it means I can be home for a rest before the OB and mothers group this arvo. I have the CBF's today. Would be happy snoozing on the couch in my PJ's!! But I might just have to reserve another day this week to do that!
Hugs to your bubs! XO
-
Kosi, I was wondering where you had gotten to. Sounds like Ava is doing really well. It is great that she was settled for you while you were away. We really should go and see the IL's but I soo can't be bothered with all the cr@p you have to take and the unsettledness that goes with travelling.
Taurean, hope Izzy is more settled, does sound like it was a growth spurt. Will keep an eye out for those pics.
Kelly, did you do anything over the long weekend? DS had an upset tummy (read terrible diarrhea) so I stayed at home with him while DH went out fishing with his brother.
Miss A must be the easiest baby ever! She just sails though the day, fits in with whatever we are doing. I honestly thought DS was an easy bub, but by comparsion he was sooo clingy - I always had to be holding him, even DH could barely hold him for the first 3 months. She does have the odd clingy day but the sling cures that. She is starting to get herself into a routine now with naps. Depending on what time she goes to bed we usually have 1-2 wakeups during the night, then she will wake somewhere between 4-6am and I take her into my bed for a bit extra sleep. We have the night time get-ups done and me back in bed in 12 minutes now so it isn't that much of an effort.
DH interupted a burgler in our sleepout the other morning - some jerk was stealing all the meat out of our freezer (of all the random things...) they got away with about 80kg of stuff before DH walked in. They were from a party next door and must have had someone over the fence collecting it as it was passed over. The police caught them but the meat wasn't recovered - not that I would want it back after it had been goodness knows where.
-
OMG Art - the meat burgler.....is a member of your family a butcher or do you always have that quantity of meat in your house? So random. Miss A sounds like a dream - i have a clingy baby...my back is suffering from it!
AFU - had our pead checkup....all reasonably ok...he can't work out if she is slightly jaundiced or it is her skin tone as DH is part asian. So we are off for a blood test in 2 weeks if he still can't tell! The whites of her eyes are discoloured in the corners thats what he is going off. She has an umbilical hernia...no biggie. Heart is good. Hips are A OK. I forgot to mention about her vomitting a lot still. Has put on just under 2 kgs.
Oh i wanted to ask....with the changing colours of eyes - does it happen gradually or does it happen overnight. V has light brown with grey/blue rings around the outside. I wonder if the blue will take over. She also has a patch on her left eye, if you imagine a clock between 3 and 6oclock is really dark brown - apparently she will always have this - so random.
As for her sleeping - all over the place! Read Baby Bliss the other day and tried to follow it's settling techniques - didn't really happen for me, but i am still trying - the only way i can get her to sleep is on the boob...or maybe i'm too lazy to rock her for an hour! Her catnapping continues........
What can you do...:dunno:
-
Taurean- Frazer was in OO's as of 5 weeks old. He has also moved from Newborn to Infant and is now in the crawler nappies! They are a little big but have much better absorbency during his long sleeps. Frazer is going through his growth spurt as well and sometimes isn't lasting more than 2 hrs between feeds. Lucky though that it's mostly through the day and therefore is doing at least 5 hrs overnight. I have posted my facebook link before but here it is again with some professional ones added
Frazer Kenton Poole | Facebook
Kosi- Nice to know someone else has a clingy baby. Frazer also has been getting quite clingy lately. Will fall asleep in your arms but the minute you put him down he's awake and crying. He tends to be really hard to put to sleep lately without a crying fit. I thought the pram would put him to sleep when I went for a walk this arvo but he screamed 3/4 of the journey and finally konked out about 10 mins from home!! I have been trying to read the tired signs earlier but it doesn't seem to help. Has anyone watched the "Dunsten Baby Language" DVD? The chick that says every cry means something different. I haven't had a chance to sit down with DH and watch it just yet.
AFM- DH and I are on Day 4 of our 10 day Lemon Detox Diet. Hoping to cleanse all the crap outta our bodies before we change to healthy eating and exercise program. Have lost 2.7kgs so far and am hoping to shed a bit more before the end. Most likely will put 1/ 2 kgs back on once I start eating again but weight loss is not the main reason we are doing it so not really fussed about that. Feel fantastic considering I haven't eaten in 4 days!! It's really weird! DH brought one of the Cardio tech treadmills and I will be rejoining the gym very soon. Fingers crossed we can keep on track.
-
Pooley, DS was always way ahead of his size in nappies too. I think it has more to do with their body shape then the actual weight - DS was always quite wide across the waist. He was in the walker nappies from about 8 months old and is still in them now, must have just grown upwards since then.
Sanchez, mum has a few acres and gets a cow killed every year for meat. We only got it a month ago too. With the eye colour, for mine it seems to happen slowly. They were both born with steel grey eyes and DS lightened up to a light grey with a darker grey ring. Looks like A is going to be the same which is expected since DH and I both have grey eyes. That missing girl Maddie McCann had a discoloured spot in her eyes, it is one of the features they have mentioned a lot to help identify her.
-
Hi Everyone
Well tired is an understatement with me at the moment. :asleep:
Indigo is doing well and seems to be in a routine at night she usually goes down for her big sleep around 9pm and sleeps through till 3 or 4am so around 6-7hrs at night. She then has a feed and sleeps till 7 or 8am. So Im pretty happy with her. At her 6wk check she was 4kg, its her 8wk check next week and needles Im expecting her to have put on another 500gm so in 2mnths she would of put on 2kg since birth (2.5kg to 4.5kg)
We are getting lots of smiles and cooing aswell. Her eyes are a clear blue still. Wyatt had dark blue eyes with brown flecks in them when he was a baby and they changed to dark brown...I think if they have colour in them like that there is a strong possibility they will change.
Wyatt is unwell at the moment and has been waking numerous times every night....so he has been the reason Im so tired not Indigo. Most days I dont even get dressed and am really just a ferral housewife at the moment..we have lots of pj days!!!
-
Hey girls!
I'm reading but don't have much time to post at the moment. Ethan has been going through a growth spurt too I think - constantly wanting boobies and being really clingy. Luckily he is only being clingy/cranky during the day and is still sleeping 6-7hrs at night. Still the constant feeding is driving me a bit nuts and I'm back to having sore nipples! He has been a bit better today so hopefully we are over the worst. Ethan was born with grey eyes but they have recently changed to brown.
I'll be back when I have more time! NIcola hope Wyatt gets better soon, nothing worse than a sick kidlet to look after. Fingers crossed he doesn't pass it on to the rest of the family!
-
Hi girls, have been lurking for a little while and thought i'd better introduce myself!
im Skye and my little girl Isabelle was born on the 12th of september, 4 weeks early. ive also got a 3 yr old that im currently trying to TT!
i've been reading ur posts to see what ur bubs are up to milestone wise and it seems Izzy is a bit behind, we were told that even though she was only just premature that she could be a bit delayed with things. Its hard because she was born such a good weight(even bigger than some full termers in my bellybuds group!) to remember that she was early. We'll get there though!
hope ur all having a good day, will chat soon

Welcome Skybie and congrats on the birth of Isabelle! Make yourself at home!
A quick question ladies, have any of you decided what contraception you are wanting to use/ using already? I know it's different for bfeeding than formula feeding but am getting really confused about which one I should go for. I had a little bit of stress and difficulty conceiving Frazer after a 6 year stint on Implanon which lead to numerous cysts and a misdiagnosis of PCOS so am wanting to steer clear of that. APART from that I LOVED Implanon. :( Was perfect for me, no periods ever, and I didn't get the mood swings etc that some others experience
Am maybe leaning towards Mirena IUD?? or Copper T? Anyone had any experiences with these. I would love some feedback or opinions please. Am not good at remembering things so the pill would be last on my list.
-
pooley- u dnt get ur period on the needle either, dont know if thats something u want to try.
ATM im not on anything, considering the mini pill but will have to find out some more info on it to see if its really worth it.
Also i want to be pregnant again when Isabelles about 12-18mnths and i know its gonna take a hell of alot of convincing to get my DF to agree to one so soon after Izzy so might stay off all contraceptives and let nature do its thing.
its not that he doesnt want another one, just not when izzy is still little, me on the other hand, i want to be done having babies so i dont have to worry about when's a good time again and i want to get back into work to help DF out, no point going back to work then stoppingto have another baby i think!
-
Welcome bloominroses and skybie!
Skybie I'm also TT my toddler. I think she's got it! She's been using the potty for over a week now with no accidents. Now we just have to progress to the toilet! Congrats on the arrival of Isabelle!
Pooley haven't decided on contraception yet and to be honest it isn't needed at the moment (poor DH!). I'm still bf so pretty sure I'm fairly safe anyway! What is lemon detox diet? Please don't tell me you have to chomp on lemons eeewwww!
I think we are over the growth spurt as Ethan has gone back to his happy self woo hoo! Anyway its a lovely day so we're heading to the park. Have a great weekend all and sending big sleepy vibes to all the bubs xoxo
-
Skybie- Never considered Depro is it? Maybe I should look into that one too. Jeez, does my bloody head in, too many choices.
Sangie- Ever since I got this munchkin outta me I've been randy as!!
No way considering more children until Frazer is at least 3 so am looking for something long term. I got AF 4 weeks post pardum since I wasn't breast feeding, I'm guessing that's why it returned so soon. After using Fertility friend to concieve, I can read my body much better and am pretty sure I'm ovulating/ have ovulated already!! This is officially the 3rd time I've ovulated in about 6 years!! Crazy stuff.
Lemon Detox is the one from the ads. It's a Lemon and Palm tree syrup drink that replaces all food for 10 days. Day 7, 3.6 kgs and counting...
-
Pooley - very jealous that your on the lemon detox.....i find it strange though that people can live on lemon juice alone! No reason you lose weight! I have been having one glass of hot lemon & water to help speed up the metabolism, but i think it has gone through my milk cause V is really red in the fanny and bum and i think it might be the acidity. Did it take you a long time to concieve F?
Sangie - I am the same as you - not needing contraception! I just wanted to heal first though. I had labial grazes and a small tear and i just want that to be good as gold before i get back on the 'ol horse. If i have a few ****tails in Tonga, he may just get lucky!
Skybie - welcome to the group - congrats on the birth of little Isabelle. Did you labour early or was she bought into the world early for medical reasons?
AFU - not much to report. Violet will not go in the pram which is making it hard to exercise. I can't listen to her scream for that long so have given up. We thought it was the brace making her uncomfortable but apparently not. I hope she learns to like it though....i didn't pay all that money for nothing! She hates the car as well. I have come to learn that i do not have a placid baby at all. She is mega clingy, hates the sling, i feel like i am trapped in the house.
We are off on our holiday in 2 weeks - starting to freak out about what to take.
Anyway...thats about it - hope everyone is doing ok....taurean how are you honey? How is Izzys weight gain going?
-
i had a second degree tear and jumped back on the horse 4 weeks after Iz was born hehehe, couldnt help myself, was suprised that nothing hurt at all, was expecting it to.
My water broke at 35 weeks, spent a week in hospital and she decided she wanted to come a week later, the doctors wanted her to stay in a bit long so she wasnt classed as premature but she didnt want to wait...neither did i to be honest!but we were really lucky and she was born absolutely perfect, no troubles breathing or with her attatchment at all.
Question..bit of an odd one too, Isabelle is fully breastfed and over the past few days her poo's been a little green, compaired to bright orange. I rememeber the health nurse saying when she was newborn that green poo means too much foremilk and not enough hindmilk, but i dont know if its because she's getting to much foremilk or if its because she's getting older. what colour are ur babies poo's?
-
Skybie - V still has the bright orange...i read green can mean too much lactose, or being overfed or underfed or maybe the start of a tummy bug.
Does she completely empty you each feed or are you feeding from both sides? From what i understand though baby poo is never supposed to be green.
 good job at getting back on the horse!
-
Ah sooner or later there was bound to be talk about poop! :D
Ethan's is orange/mustardy colour and he is bf but occassionally gets a formula top up at night. Is she having any formula cos that would make her poop a little green. If not then I have no idea?
Sanchez bugger about Violet hating the pram. I hope she learns to like it. Maybe try ease her into it by wheeling her around the house for a few minutes at a time? Or hang a pretty toy for her to look at? Wish i was going on holiday.
Pooley wow on your weight loss, I'm jealous! Bugger that AF arrived so soon. I'm hoping mine stays away for a long time yet. I didn't get AF for 8 months after DD was born so fingers crossed that happens again. I'm in no hurry to get the evil witch back!
Ethan has slept so much today. He only woke to feed and then straight back to sleep. It's so unlike him, I hope it doesn't mean he will be up all night now

Pooley, I am not sure what to do about contraception either. Probably won't have another, but never say never lol. The midwife gave me a script for 100 condoms, but at the current rate of use they are going to last the next 4 years lmao!
Skybie, orangey coloured poo here. I would love to TT my DS, but he doesn't seem to want to. I am seriously over toddler poo nappies.
Sangie, hope E slept well at night for you. How is your DD going with E? Is she still happy with him? My DS was going really well but this week we have reverted back to being silly/tantrums when we pay too much attention to Amelia, especially if DH picks her up. Oh well, this too shall pass...
Sanchez, hope V settles down for you soon. I am jealous of your trip away, we never go anywhere.
Taurean, Janine, Kosi and everyone else, hope everything is going o.k and you are just too busy being mum to post
Must be poo day soon, A keeps waking up and crying for a few seconds before going back to sleep. That usually happens when she has been brewing up a stinker for a few days lol.
We had a few really clingy days when I couldn't put her down, but today she has managed to sleep on the couch a few times without waking as soon as I put her there. My back is really sore from lugging her around all day.

Hi Lovelies
Well we've had a few full on couple of weeks. I posted in the General Discussion when I was at my lowest and poured my heart out so feel free to have a read, I won't repeat it all here. I'm feeling a lot better for opening up to the BB girls though as I realised what I'm going through is quite normal and none of it is 'my fault'. It's a pretty sad read, I think PND was a knocking on my door that morning. We have a doctors appt this week so will chat to the gp about it and see if I should go on some meds. I have suffered from depression in the past and was on medication for a year so I'm not scared to go back on the meds as I know they have helped in the past. They just keep me level and lately there have been days where I really need that.
On a positive note, our breastfeeding is going well! Yerhar! I'm a bit worried that Izzy isn't getting enough milk but she's filling out and has gone a kilo over her birth weight (finally!) so she must be ok. She's still in 0000 clothes though (000 in Wondersuits) and I had to buy her some summery 0000 clothes as she had none! I never expected her to stay so little for this long! I'm not expressing that much any more, only if I want a top up of EBM on hand or if I'm engorged. I'm still giving her a top up of formula a day though, usually in the early evening when my supply is low. It's working for us so I'll continue with it for now.
Sanchez - have a read of my other post hon. Our little girls sound very similar ;) I feel your pain. It can be very isolating and extremely tiring at times. But hey, Tonga - you lucky bugger!! I'm super jealous! Have always wanted to go there. I'm too scared to holiday with Izzy yet. Might try a weekend away closer to home first.
Gotta run, back for personals soon. Izzy is ready for a feed and I mean NOW! lol
-
Taurean - honey i could have written that post myself. You are right we seem to have similar babies! I have been trying to get her to sleep since 2pm and it is now 8pm......it shouldn't be like this.
I have stopped going out - makes things easier....am about to do my first online grocery shop! I need to buy new clothes so will wait till late night shopping, hopefully she will go down for the night and i can race to the shopI! I hope you are feeling better - and none of us are bad mothers, we just are doing the best we can with fussy bubs.
It is good to hear you are positive about meds if they are needed - there is such a stigma with PND and it is so easily treated.
Anyway - i am completely worn out - so am off to bed.....at least she is not too bad overnight - only wakes twice. She wakes up and looks at me and DH, knows we are there and goes back to sleep!
She has gone up to Infant nappies......we were having major blowouts! So sad....not a newborn anymore.
Am excited i finally bought a Bebe Sleeping Bag for her to sleep in - love them....hope she likes it!
-
Sanchez - have you considered that V may have reflux??? It's looking like that is Izzy's problem - silent reflux. I was worried my supply wasn't good again so phoned my LC to discuss things with her this morning and she assured me all was good but couldn't understand why Izzy is so unsettled. She asked me a few things about Izzy and I answered 'yes' to all of the questions so she is pretty sure Izzy has silent reflux. I will be so pleased if that is the reason for her being so unsettled. I know she's in pain a lot of the time so it would be great to have something to help her. I'll be discussing it with the gp as well on Thursday. Boy our doctors appt is going to be full on - so many things to sort out!
Art - PMSL about the condoms! That stash would last us a bloody long time too! We are yet to get 'back on the horse' and I'm in no hurry either. DH has been great about it thankfully. I'm just too tired and not really in the mood either. I've got the mini pill but am yet to start taking it. If the opportunity knocks, we have condoms ready to go. I can't imagine using them any time soon though. Gosh, how sad!
Sangie - did Ethan's good run of sleep continue?
Skybie - another Izzy! Welcome!! I'm sure you'll love our group ;) My Izzy has slightly different poos as she has a bottle of formula each day. Izzy's were orange/mustard when she was exclusively breastfed but now they are more like a thick putty (foul!) and are sometimes mustard in colour but more often greenish/grey due to the formula. If your Izzy is breastfed only, she should really be doing mainly orange/mustard poos. It could be possible she is getting too much foremilk. If she has a quick feed on one side then offer that breast first again next. My health care nurse told me 10mins or less is too quick on one side for my Izzy. She normally does 20 minutes per breast. Check with your health care nurse.
Pooley - I did the lemon detox diet a few years ago. I didn't lose much weight at all but I did feel great! How did you go in the end?
Nicola - Indigo is doing really well! Izzy does a massive sleep at the beginning of the night - between and 8 hours - but she normally goes down at 6 or 7pm so I miss out on a bit of the precious sleep time. Wish I could get her to start that sleep later but there is no keeping her up and I've tried a dream feed around 10ish a couple of times and it just stuffed things up. She still woke at 2am each time
Hi Kelly, Kosi, BoB and PB! What's news with your rugrats?
Us - Izzy has had a really good day today. The past two nights were a bit unsettled after her big 'first' sleep (from 7pm - 2) so that was tiring. I didn't really get any more sleep after the 2am feed both nights. Managed to get little Miss down for a 3 hour nap yesterday though and DH got her down at 6am this morning so I got to catch up on some sleep. This morning was bliss as DH got up to her around 5.30 and I went back to sleep (finally!) then I woke at 7.30 to...wait for it...silence. It was so weird! I woke up on my own for a change and felt great! Izzy was sleeping, DH had snuck off to work and I was feeling refreshed for a change. I got to wash, dry AND straighten my hair. What a luxury!
Although it's been a good day, Izzy still hasn't slept much so it's any wonder she bombs out at 7pm. I read up on silent reflux after chatting with my LC this morning and Izzy has so many of the symptoms. It was all so obvious watching her today. I hope some meds will sort her out, the poor little thing. I've booked her into a chiro on Tuesday too and they are going to see if they can fix her reflux/colic - whatever it is she has!
Time for me to get ready for bed. I'm hoping Izzy will do a long stretch again so I can get a good sleep before the first feed. I'm recording my two fave shows (Packed to the Rafters and Private Practice) so I'm quite looking forward to the first feed so I can watch one of them.
Night girls!

Hi girls, i ment to come back to this sooner, just been busy.
The mystery of the green poop was solved, DF gave her a bottle of formula while i was out shopping because she wouldnt stop crying and he didnt know what else to do, i thought it was odd she didnt want a feed for a while after i got home!! so its slowly returning to the bright orange!!
Taurean. im so used to calling her Izzy that Isabelle almost sounds strange to say!!!
i've tried the dream feed a few times aswell but she always ends up being wide awake for a few ages after it, so i stopped!
Sanchez, i hope bubs is being a little bit less challenging for you and ur getting to go out, some days i dont want to leave the house either but with 2 its a bit hard because DD1 has things she likes to go to.
Artichem, they give scripts for condoms?!
Hi to everyone else, hope ur all not completely exhausted!
AFU Izzy has had some very restless days lately and i feel like she's constantly on my boob, i love breastfeeding but im strugglinga bit mentally with the constant need to be on me, she wont take a dummy so im acting as a bottle and a dummy ATM, its very tiring, my house looks like a bombs hit it because i just cant seem to get anything done. i put her in the close carrier and get a few bits done but as soon as i take her out she starts screaming again.
DD1 is going really well with her TT, she's at kindy today for the first time in knickers so will be interesting to see if she has any accidents there.
Bubs is up, BBL with more

Hiya,
Pooley, Sky and any other of you crazy cats back in the sack - good on you! I thought i'd be back to normal sooner but with an epi which took a long time to heal we waited quite a while. I have to say it was a lot less comfortable than i expected, i guess its all a bit tender inside still - hopefully wont take long to feel normal again - that is if we can pick the right moment, last time we tried T woke up and started crying - too hard!
Sanchez - god speed to you, V hating the pram and car must be difficult.
Taurean - will be interesting to hear about the silent reflux diagnosis - i understand that is really difficult to deal with :( Hope you can work on some solutions asap! It can get quite draining being home alone all the time. I hope you have a good circle of friends who can pop by, and we're always here online to listen. Also, great work on the feeding! What would be your advice to get supply up quickly - or at all! :) Isn't it funny how Izzy still woke at the same time regardless of the dreamfeed. My health nurse recommended we don't bother trying to do a night feed with Tadhg, because it interupts their sleep cycles and can make it harder to get back into a deep sleep - and they are so hard to wake up that you never get a good feed in anyway, or end up with wind later in the night from not burping etc. We tried it last night - he fed at 6:30, went down at 8pm, and woke at 5:30! I got straight up to feed as i was worried he'd be starving after that long, but if he does it a few nights in a row i'll be working on getting him to 6am. Or.. it may just be a fluke! Will see what happens tonight.
The health nurse also said all Tadhg's "symptoms" seem to point to milk intolerance, which i had actually considered but didn't realise he was so clearly intolerant. This includes spilling curdled milk a long time after a feed, slightly rough skin on his face and eyebrows, trouble digesting / gurgling tummy, crying in his sleep from wind, lots of gas!, lots of liquidy poo (at least every feed in our case). So i'm changing his formula to S26 which is apparently the best for milk intolerance, and cutting dairy from my diet (not excessive just no milk, cheese, yogurt etc). Looking forward to the results!
She also said a 10 week old baby should take 3-8 minutes to drain a breast, so leaving him there for 20 each side - no wonder he falls asleep and comes off really hungry and upset! I was feeling drained, he was tired, and all for not enough milk. I really don't know where my logic was - that i have less milk therefore should feed him longer!? Even in the 24 hours i've cut back to 10 minutes a side I feel much better about feeding, and he is happier!
So all in all it was a great health nurse visit!
Hope you other girls are coping with the demands of feeding so often and clingy babes - must be a stage they go through huh. Lucky they are so cute!
ps. almost forgot to add - T is now 4.7kg, yay! - but still in newborn nappies at 10 weeks old, infant diapers are coming soon...
-
Kelly - good luck with changing formula, fingers crossed it does the trick and makes Tadhg a lot more settled. YAY for the long night sleep!
Taurean - good luck at the gp. Hope you can get your girl sorted out soon. Reflux must be so painful for the poor little thing. Yes Ethan is still sleeping really well at night but day sleeps are a bit of a struggle some days. He gets very windy some days and that wakes him up and stuffs his day up totally.
Skybie - My DD had her first outing in undies yesterday and did really well. I'm so happy that she has TT'd but also a little sad as she looks so grown up in her undies! Glad you sorted out the poo issue!
Art - DD is still being great with her little brother and surprisingly there has been no jealousy. I try to spend some time with her everyday doing a special activity. Gets hard if Ethan is having a clingy day though.
AFU we are plodding alone. E has good and bad days and still gets a lot of wind which really upsets him. He has his 8 week check up and weigh in tomorrow so I might ask the nurse if she has any more suggestions. Otherwise I guess I just have to wait until he outgrows it. We are really lucky at nights though and he generally sleeps from around 10-10.30 pm through to 5.30-6am. I literally run to bed as soon as he goes down for the night!
-
This will be quick she is crying with DH trying to calm her....another day - she has been awake since 6am.....yawning frequently but will not let herself go to sleep. Eyes are heavy but will close them for 3 minutes and then wake up with a lot of energy again.
Taurean - my baby isn't really unsettled though - doesn't scream for no reason, does cry when we put her down but she loves to be held....is izzy frantically screaming?
Skybie - i am the same (dummy and boob), i too am struggling mentally and finding it tough not to walk out for the afternoon and pray she will take a bottle from someone. I have a close carrier and she hates that too!
Kelly - my bub spills curdled milk a long time after a feed....maybe i should look into that...
ok i can't stand the crying anymore...bye
-
Hi Everyone
Well its 1pm and Im still in my Pjs..The boys both have colds and are a bit RS and Indigo is resting in her rocker..she had her needles yesterday and was very cranky in the arvo/evening.
Im not on any contraception yet but have looked into numerous things and have decided if DH doest get a vasectomy soon then I will get the Depo injection. The implanon made me a psycho and I dont want anything inserted eg. Mirena or Copper IUD. I have only got back on the horse once and have to constantly fight off DH as I havnt been feeling up to it completely and Im totally paranoid about getting pregnant.
I had some issues with my c-section scar that opened up so have had to have a wound dressing on it, it seems to have healed now though.
Kelly - You may need to consider Neocate formula if the milk thing doesnt improve. It needs to be prescribed by a paediatrician.
Im currently organising the boys combined birthday party for the end of the month and we will be going out next weekend for DHs birthday but other than that its same old here. I think I may go have a shower soon.....

Hey Girls,
Welcome Skybie and Izzy!
I'm sure all of you have mothers groups that you have been roped into with the maternal child health centres you're visiting. Although I am enjoying going to get the info, I do find that I get the "I don't wanna go's" before I go, as its such an effort to get ready... and I'm always paranoid that Ava will crack it big time while there and I will look like a hopeless mum. Had an interesting session there on Monday, topic discussed was sleep and settling. Not sure if you have had been told info like this before, but thought I would share what I learnt, as it may help with settling our bubbas and save our hair tearing out moments!
Watch out for the following signs, as they are indicators that bubba's are getting tired:
hiccups (guessing if they appear a while after feeding..) red eyebrows and eyes, sucking on hands (could also be baby discovering her/his hands thou), getting really active/fidgety and of course yawning (duh!)
It was also mentioned that dream feeding works better on babies a little older than mine. (I always find Ava wakes up when I try and handle her). Ava is 8 weeks tomorrow! Time really flies.
For those who were asking about the pill etc - OB has put me on a low dose pill called Yaz. So far I have had no side effects (apart from forgetting to take it at the same time each day). I found using inplanon made me gain weight, as I used that when it first came out. And since the injection is similar to inplanon, I didn't try it, as it lasts 3 months, so I worried, that if I did get side effects I was stuck with it for that whole time.
And We have just gotten back on the "Horse" again. I was worried I would pop stitches etc. Till I have been on the pill for a couple of weeks, we are using condoms too.
For those girls that are formula feeding - do you find your baby stores up a poo for a few days? Ava pooped Monday before and after Mothers group, but I'm still waiting for the next "installment". With the amount of feeds she is having (5 - 6 a day and up to 180mls) I would have thought she would be "more regular".
Sanchez - I really feel for you! Ava loves car rides, falls asleep really quickly, and same with the pram. I don't think i would cope if she didn't like them. As much as I like hanging around home (especially after a few days of outings) I like knowing I can go out and she is happy riding around with me.
Ava is just on 5 kgs and has moved to infant nappies. Still has her clingy moments, but is a pretty good girl really. Last post I mentioned we were going to the docs... well, I opted to go later on that night instead of the morning as it was an hours wait and my preffered doc was on later that night. Hubby and I went together and waited 2 1/2 hours to see the doc, and Ava chucked a massive overtired wobbly in the waiting room. The receptionist was nice enough to warm up her water so I could give her some formula, which settled her for a little while, but screamed again while in with the doc. So that was very tiring! We are inbetween sizes... she can still fit in some 0000's but is mainly hanging on 000's now.
We had a really good night Sunday. She went down after a feed and a bath around 9pm and I woke at 4 am thinking.. I haven't heard from her yet. Went and checked as I kept thinking the worse... (is that a new mummy instinct. Always worrying about the worst?) and she was fast asleep, but I wasn't convinced. So after stewing on that for 20 mins, I went and checked on her again and she was definately asleep and fine. She slept till 5:30! But it was a fluke, as i tried replicating the same routine last night and she woke at 12:30 and then at 5:30.... And I had a migrane to boot! Not fun.
aww crap... someone has woken again!
Hope all you ladies are well and things are getting better! Or are going really well!
Hugs to your bubba's!
-
Skybie - yeah, Isobel sounds a bit strange to us too as Izzy has really stuck! I love both names so much though :)
Sanchez - Izzy doesn't scream, she's just unsettle during the day. Well she has been for the past couple of weeks now. She has little cries during a feed sometimes and often cries not long after being put down. I got her down for an hour sleep this morning and I had to rock the bassinet 6 times in an hour to resettle her as she was crying in her sleep. I really think it is silent reflux so I can't wait to see if the medication works.
Kelly - thanks hon. I do love knowing I can vent to you girls at any time of the day. I love the support in our group. Thankfully I have lots of support around me in Perth too. My mothers group is a godsend too - the girls are lovely and it so nice to know we are all going through the same things. As for your supply, I strongly suggest going on Motillium. It's worked wonders for me. I have Motillium (double the dose the gp prescribed) and Fenugreek (herbal remedy) three times a day and I let Izzy feed as much as she wants to. I also try to express once a day too just so I have a top up (or a full feed) ready in a bottle but it also gets my boobs thinking Izzy has had another feed and more milk is produced. I expressed 170ml total the other morning and my LC said that was great. I have expressed up to 200ml though.
Sangie - wind is a right nuisance, hey! Izzy has that issue too. She farts A LOT (and my god they smell!) and burps after her feeds but she often has wind pain. It drives me mad. I give her Infacol with each feed now and it does seem to help. Izzy is only pooping roughly every 4 days so I think that causes her a bit of pain too, especially as she has a formula feed each day. Poor little things!
Kosi - thanks for the sleep and settling info. We had a similar chat at our mothers group the other week. Some of it was really interesting. I'm loving my mothers group and wouldn't miss it for the world. The girls are lovely and we have a good gasbag every time. Izzy is always so settled there too, not sure why!
AFU - we've had a reall y good day although poor Izzy has suffered a bit with the heat over here. DH got her to sleep for me this morning so I could have a nap and I managed to get her down for an hour again this morning and an hour and a half this afternoon! I'm so pleased! I also took the bassinet off our pram and put Izzy in the normal part of the pram today and she slept! She looks so tiny in it and the straps are a bit overwhelming but hey, it seems to work for her so I think we'll be selling the bassinet. At least we got 8 weeks use out of it.
Time for bed. Missy is sound asleep so that means it's bedtime for me too. Night girls!
-
Thanks Taurean - i went to the Dr yesterday and got the domperidone / motillium - so hoping it kicks in soon! 170ml is awesome! I am currently getting about 60ml :( No wonder Tadhg is hungry.
Kosi - we're about the same, just on 5kg and in between 0000 and 000 - i'm trying to get wear out of as many clothes as i can! Have just decided to buy some more newborn nappies though, even though they are getting on the small side, as they are cheaper - so i'll see how much longer we can use them - and save the rest for next bub!
Nicola - i hope your boys are coming right.. poor wee things - and poor you getting run ragged. I'm really trying to enjoy just having 1 at home - it will never be the same again ;-) We'll se ehow we go on the formula - i've decided to try and work hard on BF so we dont need formula, and see how we go.
Sanchez - we have times like that with Tadhg, where he wont sleep - and often i find its due to trapped wind keeping him awake. Could be worth a long winding session to see if it helps V? Also, if you are finding her windy or unsettled, i'd definitely think about milk intolerance - were either you or DH intolerant as kids. If you stop eating milk products and there is an improvement - you'd soon know :)
Sangie - these bubs and their wind! I hope they work out how to bring it up themselves sooner rather than later!
We're having a tricky day, every time i put T down to sleep he lies there awake or does little cries/groans trying to bring up wind. For some reason its not coming up when we burp him after a feed, or even when we trudge upstairs to rub his back (get a nice big burp and think - ahh!...) about 3 times before he will go to sleep - and he gets cranky because he is tired. Just went to sleep almost 40 mins after going down - phew. Ah well, he has had a couple of 45 min sleeps so he'll be ok.
Day 4 and still sleeping through from 8pm - yay.
Janine - how are you going? You've been quiet, hope the exercise plan is coming together :) How are you finding time?
Have a great weekend!
Kelly

Sorry to hear about everyone's windy babies. Frazer is generally pretty good and after watching the Dunstan baby language DVD it kinda helps to know whether he's screaming cause he's over tired or still has wind/ burp to get out.
Taurean- lost 3.8 kgs in the end of the 10 day detox. Since eating have kept 2 off still and am waiting for the 12 week mark to get back the gym for some aerobics and weights. Am really missing it atm. Maybe u should consider some counciling to deal with some of the stuff you're going through atm. I have had 4 sessions now for anxiety and post traumatic birth stuffand it's nice just to vent and get things out. I am lucky they are running a post natal well bing session for new mums out my way. Some of the stuff other Mums have been through/ are going through is horrific. It is nice to get validation from others that it's normal and common and that motherhood isn't all rosey. Lot of mothers you meet just don't talk openly about things that are bothering them outta shame I guess so it's good you are happy to share with us.
Well, Frazer went for his immunisations on Friday and I'm glad DH came because even he had trouble keeping his leg still for the jabs. I think he screamed more from just being restrained than from the atual pain! Had to do his measurements etc and here is a comparison from birth.
BIRTH
Weight- 4.325kg Length- 53cms Head circ- 36cms
8WKS
Weight- 6.78kg Length- 58cms Head circ- 39cms
Obviously he's in the 97th percentile for weight fitting into OO's and crawler nappies!!
Still am undecided on contraception but am thinking that the pill would be the least invasive and not have the affects that some of the others do.
Some one was asking if I had trouble having Frazer. Not so much trouble as a saga of sorts. Short story is had my Implanon out in June last year, waited for AF which did not return until November. Before then I was getting tested for all sorts of things which was when they discovered polycystic ovaries. Was diagnosed with PCOS and told to "just keep trying" no intervention was needed, even though I obviously wasn't ovulating and therefore couldn't get preggers. Changed docs, next one told me I didn't have PCOS and should just wait a bit longer for AF and not to worry. Meanwhile was going mental thinking I'd never have a baby and watching as everyone around me fell pregnant at a drop of a hat. Started doing Fertilty Friend and ovulation tests, taking Vitex tablets anything that would help get things started. Had first AF in November and conceived with Frazer after 2nd AF in December. Extremely lucky but was six months before my body was working again.
Anyway, that wasn't really a short story and am feeling a little emo rehashing it so am gonna go and look at my little boy now so it can all float away outta my head. Not by far, the worst TTC story but emotional for me none the less.
-
Pooley, F is huge!! I took Vitex to get preg too, I had a progesterone/prolactin imbalance because I was still BF DS. Before I started taking it my LP was only about 5-6 days, but it only took 2 cycles after I started taking it to get preg. And yes, for some reason mums don't talk about the down side of motherhood in public. That is some of the reason that forums like this are good - you can debrief anonymously.
Taurean, we are the opposite with clothes - I need to buy some more warm stuff. I didn't expect her to be this big while the weather was still cold. She is quietly outgrowing the summer outfits before she even gets a chance to wear them. Have you made it to the docs for reflux meds yet? Hope she feels better once you start on that.
Sanchez, V sounds a lot like my DS. He didn't like the pram or car, sometimes he would tolerate it but he wouldn't drift off to sleep in there very often. Sitting the pram back up to the middle setting helped a bit so he could look out.
Hi to everyone else, hope you are all getting some sleep
So it turns out that camping with a toddler and 9 week old is a terrible idea lol. DS was tired and over excited and Amelia was so overstimulated she was screaming. She has always been so settled we didn't expect it. Usually I would call grizzling/crying on and off for 5 minutes unsettled, but this time she was full on screaming and crying for about half an hour and I couldn't do anything for her. She has never been like that. DH managed to settle her after walking around for about an hour.
Apart from that she has been lovely. Is getting into more of a routine with naptime and usually sleeps for 5 hours, then 3 hours then into bed with us at night.
-
Hi busy mumma's, our thread nearly fell off the bottom of the page. LOL, looks like I am the only one with nothing better to do....
