Hi ladies just popping in quickly to say hello. I'm going really well, seem to be heading into the acne-outbreak portion of the chemo cycle LOL...and I'm sitting in a shower of hair, and as of this morning, eyebrows/eyelashes...just a light sprinkle but I'm finding hair everywhere now. But it's not coming out in clumps yet so it's actually a good thing, kwim?
Been thinking of H and hope the op went well and she's now able to concentrate on getting better and grieving her loss. :hug:
PP no don't feel selfish, those final few weeks are such a crazy time. Glad you've got some nice things planned today. Let me know how the Coco movie is!
Rainy, oh I don't miss those poos one bit! LOL at DH dressing L back to front. When Dh dresses E the clothes *never* match. I have even laid out a matching set one time and he used one half then got a not-matching other half out of the drawer. LOL the only reason the man can dress himself is because I shop for him and his entire wardrobe coordinates so he can put any top with any bottom on without thought PMSL.
Trill I LOL'd at A with his stubby cooler, that's so cute!

AFM - I'm heading out today in a quest for Turkish delight and other party bling. Need to make sure we have enough sparkly scarves for every guest to feel like the magical dancer she really is inside. LOL

jimmy's clothes are a little mis-matched, but mainly because lewis was a summer baby and jimmy is a winter one iykwim? and we're trying not to buy jimmy any new clothes- so sometimes he'll have a blue wondersuit under orange overalls or something, just to make it warmer..idk, the mis-matchyness kinda suits his personality though and makes him look super-cute i reckon.
md-i'm a little sad about your eyelashes...i know of a good eyelash strengthening product for when they start coming back if you like.
my dh wears workpants every single day even on weekends LOL
i have 2 sleeping children atm. woo hoo!!!!
had a fantastic moment this morning where i ran into a friend of a friend in the bakery carpark this morning- haven't seen her for about2 years- anyway, she has 2 girls 20 months apart. youngest is 18 months old now, she told me that i was 'in the thick of it' right now, but that when my 2 are her kids' ages i will be soooo happy and rewarded. she said her girls are best friends and that every morning they play together for 3 hours!! did you hear that? 3 hours!!!!!!
let's just say i drove home smiling and dreaming of 2011.

md - you sound v positive and strong....
well had a good acu session and the cupping helped my back too, though i think it is more BH hurting now so the cupping cant cure that... but was a good appt. she gave me some acupuressure pts i can start to use now, and some for later too... so that was good. then had a lovely lunch with my gfriend and then sat and had a coffee and read my magazine.. so a much better day! spent a load at the shops buying plastic/pyrex for my freezer storage - nesting much LOL! i am also obsessed with washing now, found a thread on here about using vinegar and bi carb in the wash and i am hooked LOL!

pap-was the baby kicking heaps when you were having the acu? when i went when jimmy was about your stage he was going crazy!
what's the go with the vinegar and bi-carb? does it make the clothes beautifully fresh?

MD, I hope your hair just thins and doesn't all come out. Sounds like you are avoiding the really nasty side effects though. Hope the party went well and H had lots of girly fun. Is she 12 now?
Rainy, I think it will be fantastic when your boys are a bit older. I would have loved two little boys with that age gap, in my mind they would have been bestest buddies.
Clare, hope that you get your swamp-bathroom no-roof house lol. Reno's are fun and satisfying. Remember that you can get a really nice and functional kitchen from Ikea for under 5K finished too (in case the builder has quoted you joinery kitchen prices)

Ozstar, I hope that whomever is reading your posts gets a life. Seriously, it is a parenting forum, what juicy gossip do they hope to find? The last couple of pages have been about house hunting, pre-teen party, toy bargains and washing tips! Surely they aren't expecting you to reveal yourself as a GC swingers kingpin or anything. Actually I find it a bit disturbing that outsiders are reading our thread!
PAP, every time I log on I am hoping for some news! Sounds like your midwife appointment was a bit disappointing, I would like to know if there was any progress at that stage, especially considering how quick your labour was with N - it would be good to know if you were already dialating to know if it was going to be sooner or later.
Trill, A sounds like such a cutie with his little pillow and bottle quirks! How are things on the mouse front? I saw one on the bench the other day which grossed me out - dirty little buggers! I have started nagging DH to put out the mouse bait that I bought.
Andie, hope you are enjoying being back in Brisbane. Must be nice to be around your friends again and it sounds like the boys are settling in well.
It is 3am and I am wide awake. William is actually sleeping well for once and I get insomnia. Far out, I just want a whole nights sleep!
Went down to mums last weekend, I asked her if she would mind if we rotated some of the dogs though the bedroom ie shut out of the way when the new baby comes but there was just an awkward silence so I changed the subject. It is really bothering me actually, W is getting mobbed and knocked over and one of them growled at him the other day (mum made a heap of excuses - probably thought he was another dog/just had a major op etc but at the end of the day if he gets bitten it doesn't matter who the dog was aiming for). Not sure what to do about it, she is rather precious about her dogs. I have tried shutting some away but my step father gets the poops and just mutters and lets them out again.
I got to see my cousins little 6 week old baby - and have been reminded of how much work new babies are lol. I found newborn to be the easiest stage - W almost never cried and slept really well (for the first few months). Now I am preparing myself for the fact that the next bub might not be so easy. Little Ella spends several hours a day crying for no apparent reason. Although I think they leave her in her cot to go to sleep and she cries and they count that as no reason?
W is at the coolest age now, we have lots of fun. He says the funniest things and comes up with stuff I had no idea he would know.

that sux that your mum puts the dogs above W. annoys me. we always put our dog out when we have people at our house, no matter what! even if they're all adult dog lovers, it's just courtesy.
oohhh poor little ella crying in her cot, that's so young to be left all alone!
hopefully you get another 'easy' newborn just like W. fingers crossed! you'll be fine now anyway as you're an expert on sleep or lack of sleep now! lol
is anyone finding that they're running short on warm clothes that fit now? i'm almost at the point where i need to go out and buy a whole wardrobe of size 3! he's busting out of all of his hoodies and his adjustable waist pants are all on the biggest button

Rainy, I always put my big stinky hairy dog outside when people come over too. It just isn't safe to have two small children around 10 dogs, I don't know what to do.
W is wearing size 2 now, I think that he will be there for a while.
What is everyone up to with feeding now? We ditched the highchair a couple of months ago for a booster seat at the table, but he decided he wouldn't sit on that so now he gets himself a cushion to sit on. He can drink out of a "cup for bigger boys" quite sucessfully, but then starts playing with it and spills it so it can only be done under strict supervision. He also has a knife and fork for meals which he is very happy with.
DH and W have gone to the closest big town (1.25 hours away) and I am having a day at home to finish a bit of painting and get some curtains made (except I am on BB instead lol). They have never gone away for the whole day before, I hope it goes well.

hey everyone,
had anti natal appt yesterday and everythings going well.. am getting a bit confused over movements etc but im pretty sure its just paranoia so theyve given me a kick chart to reassure me.. everythings very average.. asked about going overdue again and they told me that 60% of women go to 41wks with their first baby and 40% of those will go 41wks again which i thought was interesting.. just have to wait and see tho.. finally got a good chunk of my hospital bags done thanks to some much needed shopping with my mum so im feeling better about that too..
Asha woke up so much last night it was like having a newborn all over again!! im sooo tired, thankfully tho shes going to my mums for a few hours today so thatll be nice, although i do have lots of washing and stuff to do *sigh*...
arte - Asha is having a normal cup alot of the time too but same as Will if u leave her with it too long she plays with it and spills it.. shes getting good at using cuttlery and thinks shes very clever lol but we dont let her have a knife yet she runs off in the middle of a meal too often for me to trust her with one haha! thats hard with the dogs, dhs mum has 4 dogs but they get put away when we come over... "would have liked 2 boys with that age gap" are u having a girl?? did i miss something? ur age gap isnt gonna be that different to rainys hehe :)
Rain - Ashas still pretty comfy in her size 2s i find bonds clothes are a bit smaller tho and we will be going to 3's in those sooner than in anything else..
pap - oh please please please come and take some of my washing for me!! i have piles of it that im never gonna finish!!
md - hope u dont lose too much of ur hair.. how was the party have you had it yet? sounds like so much fun!!

Clothes - K is in size 1's still. I actually had to take up her Bonds tracky pants because they were way too long.
PAP - sounds like you've cheered up since your appt, enjoy the Justine Clarke concert! We're coming up for a concert in September which I am really looking forward to.
Feeding - K sits in her highchair and does or doesn't use the tray depending on her mood. We are able to pull the chair right up to the table so she has a placemat if she doesn't want to use the tray. Luckily we have an upside down fridge so she won't be able to get into it for a while to get treats. She is already insisting though on just staring into the fridge looking for food, but not able to make a decision.
MD - enjoy the party!!
We are heading to the zoo tomorrow to look at lions, giraffes and monkeys!!

Rainy, my first thought was you should hang out at the bakery even more than you do LOL! Missy E is still wearing some 1s on the bottom half (has her father's stumpy legs) but I'm rapidly having to acquire size 2 tops - they were all huge 6 weeks ago and now they're fitting just right. *sigh* I can't keep up!
Cally - LOL at your undecided fridge customer! How excitement about the zoo!! We've been promising ourselves a trip to the zoo but the weekend weather aint been right.
Arte - hard one about the dogs. DH has offered to dog-sit a huge slathering labrador for a couple of weeks :o...I've said yes, conditional upon a run being built at the side of the house for said large dog. I don't think DH understands the tactical differences between a dog that comes up to E's knees and one that has a huge mouth right at E's face height...?!
Noni, don't worry too much about the newborn tiredness, you got thru last time and you can get thru it again no probs. xxx I bet you're starting to feel excited now you've got your hossy bag ready. I too have a hossy bag packed...but mines not nearly as exciting as yours is PMSL!
Re feeding - Miss E still sits in her highchair most of the time. She was resisting it until she learnt to climb up herself. Am thinking of progressing her to a junior chair, but I still like the restraint plus the hc tray is really easy to clean...much easier than scrubbing my olde worlde kitchen table.
Ok better go, I'm hitching up the caravanseri today, off in search of persian fairy floss and baklava!

MD, :hug: I hope you're doing ok, I mean really *ok* kwim? I hope the hair keeps falling out like it has been - I imagine it would be less confronting that way. Can you do anything for the acne?
Arte, your Mum needs to get her priorities right. My dad and his wife are the same with their dogs and I have told him while ever he has those dogs inside I will not set foot inside his house. He didn't like it, but thems the breaks - it's his grandkids or his dogs and so far he's chosen the dogs, so when we go down there to visit, he comes to see us at Nan's house. I even had a fight with his wife years ago now when they actually came and visited me and she wanted to let her dogs inside MY house and I told her to **** off - my house, my rules and if her dog set foot inside my house I would literally kick them out. No love lost between us.
Highchairs - ours has been collecting dust for a while. He just sits at the table with the rest of us now. I will have to get rid of it I suppose - it's done all 4 of them so it's worn out now anyway.
Clothes - size 2 still for pants as Mr Lanky Legs is still skinny enough that they sit low enough on his hips to be long enough still - but I think we will be *just* lucky enough to get all of winter out of them. Tops/shirts/bodysuits are size 2, but they are getting short in the torso - he is like all the other kids and needs a larger size as they all have really long torsos - Lindsay is in a size 12 bonds singlets! and the girls are in 8's. but the problem with that is that the sleeves are so long :rolleyes: can't win either way. So I will probably have to get some size 3 tshirts for the length and put them over a size 2 long sleeve t. I noticed target are getting in summer gear already! We ditched the sz 2 wondersuits ages ago as he was just too long for them so how he has really cute little flanny jammies. And his feet! OMG they are huge! the shoes that I thought would last him winter he has already grown out of and I can't keept socks up to him cause he keeps growing out of them. He is going to be a different size build to Lindsay I think. Lindsay is tall and will be quite solid when he's older - much like my brothers but I think Alister will be more like DH's side - very tall and lean. BIL is 6'4 and very lean, MIL's brother is 6'5 and really lean, as was their father. So I think he is headed that way. he is already well over 90cm.
he is going OK, but he did throw up again this morning (which caused a tanty cause his pillow case had to be washed again :rolleyes: ) but has been fine since. His tonsils are still huge, but still not red or pussy, so that's good I suppose. He has started sleeping better again - only woke up once the past two nights to get a dummy put back in again. Good thing is that he loves the ab's he has to take - sits there like a little bird with his mouth open ready for them LOL.
Well I guess that wasn't that quick afterall LOL.

re the Highchairs- Just took Livi out of hers as she likes sitting at the table with all of us now.
Cloths- Livi wears size 2 but have started buying size 3 she is getting really tall now and the size 2 wont last much longer in length.
MD- hope you are ok

sherie- hope you are feeling better soon I still have the flu and its been a week.
Art- hope you are enjoying your mumma time
AFM- I have paid for the boys birthday party now just waiting. They are really excited. For Livi's we are just having a some family over for a play on her birthday. Getting excited about our holiday. Hope everyone is ok

Noni: ha ha ha! we too have LOADS of washing so i can commiserate with you! in fact i was so late this morning that i now have a whole load of washed clothes sitting in the laundry basket waiting to be hung out. no doubt i'll have to re-do it this afternoon :rolleyes:.
PP: oh your afternoon sounded like bliss. i guess with it all getting close there is frustration, but the non-heavily pg woman that i am also wants to add that this will pass soon enough, enjoy those kicks and rolls and soon enough *she* ;) will be here in your arms in no time xx
re highchairs: Leila is in hers and will be until she is however old when she decides not to. the joys of a stokke i guess LOL! she uses her fork, spoon and knife like a pro, but usually reverts to hands in weet-bix style feeding :rolleyes:. and she drinks from a cup most times. but when she is tired (or we are out) i give her a sippy cup JIC.
Clothes leila is still in 1s. we have 2s but they are humorously large.
Oz: no plans for the weekend as such. hopefully the weather is as glorious as it is now cause i could really handle a trip to castlemaine and some antique shopping....
Sherie: oh no! hope you get over that nasty cold. no fair!
Arte: no way. in all honesty i wouldnt take W there. if a dog is growling the line that cant be crossed is perilously close. and if your parents arent taking decisive action when it happens then that is a dangerous situation. we ALWAYS kick Stella outta the house when we have guests. for long time friends etc she is allowed back in, but we are always correcting her behaviour (ie if she is too pushy for pats or ball games etc).

Katie, we are full up this weekend with party on Sat evening (have invited a few mummy guests too and one's bringing strawberry champers hee hee everyone will have a ball) and then on Sun DD1 has this recital thing because she's learning piano. Which will be 3 minutes of entertainment while DD is performing and an hour and half of yawndom. LOL
Have you heard from H yet, do you know when she's going home?
All this eating and knife and fork talk reminds me about Missy E's latest obsession. She wants crumpets for breaky every morning now because one day I had her pull up her chair and help put "buddta" and "hunneee" on it with a knife. LOL
AFM - Trill yes I really am ok & not just saying it. Travelling ok because of lifestyle modifications. I don't think I'd be coping as well if I had Missy E at home all day every day, so the FDC has been a godsend. She's getting quite demanding now and also needs to be physically wrangled somtimes (like - away from the heater, or when she runs around the front yard instead of getting in the car) and I find that particularly exhausting. Minor discomforts and tiredness but feeling ok in myself. Have got this fantastic tea-tree oil stuff from the body shop for the pimples which seems to be working a treat but they just take forever to heal. The hair sprinkle is quite light too...not turning bald in a hurry (yay). Am tapping into some really good support mechanisms too - there's this alternative health support place where they have really cheap massages, (I've got 2 booked already), plus they have classes on meditation, yoga, tai chi, sound healing, art therapy. Just got the new class list today so will be signing up immediately. Plus they give out free hugs. :)
Good news for the day is my juicer jug mysteriously got chipped (methinks it was DH) and leaks so I went shopping at Ebay & scored a total bargain. Less than 25% of retail price & I've seen them go for double what I paid. This one's more powerful and has a bigger chute so I can chuck whole apples down it - which means the juicing will be quicker and easier. DH is off to collect it for me right now!
