Rainy I was cracking right up when I read about your DH's room complete with his very own stripey bed linen.

Cally I found the speechie process very interesting when we did it too. I do a lot the techniques now automatically like repeating the key words & getting Missy E to look at my mouth. Don't know if it will really work tho cos i"m the only idiot in the family doing it.

Renee, enjoy the shower preps - sounds like fun! Hope it all goes as well as can be at the funeral.

Cally - Thanks for mentioning those tips from the speechie, I've told DH & we are going to make the effort to use single words more instead of sentences. Good idea!!

Hi gals, i have been madly running around trying to organise a holiday. I have managed to get everyone a passport and book 11 nights in........................Fiji! I am so freaking excited! We've never been overseas as a family. I lived OS for about 4 years, but that was pre marriage and kids, so will be fun to do something different. Leave in a week.

MM- hope the bleeding is nothing. :hug:

MD- Thanks for thinking of me. Can't wait to take hubby away for a break. I think we all need it. Hows that itchy scalp? Hope you are getting enough rest.

Trill- Mice are the pits. This new place is off farm and not near any crops so fingers crossed we wont get any here. But i spend my life trying to kill them. Do you ever do the wine bottle over the bucket of water trap? Once we went to NZ and came back and the house was seriously being taken over by mice. It was like a plague. I had to wash every single thing in the house. so grose. i feel you mousey pain!

rainy: yeah we are still looking at 3 houses. went to an auction yesterday that said $480-$520...sold for $648...so bummed. especially as the house had to be pretty much demolished.

Sherie: those pesky mice!!! i have only dealt with one plague in my life but by golly it was mind boggling at how many can live in one tiny space (we were in suburbia and the entire back yard was a mice field...eeewww!

MD: oooh oh oh! i NEED to send you some lovely lavender and chamomile bath oil...i LOVE it!! i pop a bit into my bath for relaxing moments and it is great for DD when she has gone crazy in the coconut...

cally: colour me green...with ENVY!! i would love a facial....boo hoo hoo!

MM: the brown spotting should be AOK. hope you're holding up okay. no doubt it is a bit stressful seeing it.

leila is awesomely splendid as usual. we went to a party last night and she was awesome. put on a good show dancing and eating all the canapes LOL! then went off to bed with very little hassle. which is good as mummy *needed* a wine LOL!
spent a fortune today...eekk! went to north carlton and HAD to got to the CR sale. bought a nice cardigan...then went to Peter Alexander and bought Leila the CUTEST flanny pjs this side of the galaxy (it has cupcakes on it!!!), then went to an italian DVD shop and bought some classic italian kid shows. Leila just loves them!
i am tired atm though as we have seriously done too much this weekend. everynight we have been out (which is awesome fun!), so have not had any real chance to just chill and take stock. i am so tired of our weekends spent looking at crap, expensive houses.
also had a funny moment last night. there was a pg chick there (about 5 months) and she asked me how labour REALLY was. ha ha ha! i didnt really know what to say as we had only just met and there were a few ppl that i didnt know at all standing there! what do you say?!! i said, that it starts off kinda like a bad period pain and escalates to the point where you threaten your DH of all sorts of things if he doesnt make it stop... i didnt really feel like going into any real detail of the psychology and pain while surrounded by non pg people IYKWIM. i would have LOVED to go on and on about my experience in another setting though...ah well, i tried my best.

Clare, I think it's one of those questions like "Does my bum look fat" - there aint nothing you can say that's the right answer to that one! LOLing at you being tempted to go right off and tell all...:D OMG i cannot believe the price of that house. We went for a walk yesterday and I was busy pointing out the houses to DD1 that we looked at before we bought this one...I remember thinking one in particular was a complete rip off at $110K PMSL (mind you there was no floor in the kitchen, and I mean NO FLOOR, just a yawning cavity)! Hang in there, you will find your home. xxx

Ange - woohoo on your holly, Sounds so exciting. I think you are very brave...for choosing a swimsuit location LOL. Hope you can find a decent cossy in the middle of winter...!!!

clare - so frustrating with the houses. i have heard w estimated ranges to add 20% in melb. so maybe look at the price range below what you are prepared to pay. it looks like we will be buying in melb next year sometime so i will be right there with you sista - though you will be living in domestic bliss in your perfect house by then! sounds like a fun weekend. L sounds delicious! i saw those pjs at peter A - i was in there buying bargains for my hospy bag.

all is well here. we had a good weekend. caught up with friends, had a party yest... relaxing but fun. i had heaps of energy on fri and sat but man was i exhausted yest. i am getting a few pains now, but little cramps so nothing to get excited about yet... but something is going on. do any of you remember what chgs you would feel when cervix effaces/dilates? for me it feels more 'full/cramped' in there??? sorry if tmi. i'd love it all to happen a week from now please!

THE MAMA TEST

I was out walking with my 4-year-old daughter. She picked up something off
Of the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away
from her and I asked her not to do that.

'Why?' my daughter asked.

'Because it's been on the ground; you don't know where it's been, it's
dirty, And probably has germs,' I replied.

At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked,
'Mama, how do you know all this stuff? You are so smart.'

I was thinking quickly and replied, 'All moms know this stuff. It's on the
Mama Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mama.'

We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently
pondering this new information.

'Oh.....I get it!' she beamed,'So if you don't pass the test you have to
be the dad.'

'Exactly,' I replied with a big smile on my face.



Slight freaking out about the bathers thing MD. :o But i figure i wont know anyone so i can wobble all i like. :p

Pregpan - no, party is this coming Saturday. Hold on to your coin belts, girls! LOL I don't know if I'm feeling worse or better this time round, I had the weird muscle-aching-all-over thing last night (must be from coming off the roids) and my neck feels really swollen but this time I don't think I'm coming down with anything. But I'm tired-er and lot more hideously moody. DD1 told me she heard me shouting at DH in the middle of the night the other night. It was after 10.30 and it was a laundry-related issue (utterly trivial :redface:) but try as I might I couldn't stop the torrent of rant pouring out of me. So I'm going to have to do something very nice for everyone this week to make up for my disgraceful drug-related behaviour.

Supa - looks like it's going to be lovely again today, at least this morning it is. :D

MD i think you should rectify the Fiji situation..... a nice family holiday maybe at the end of this year would make up for your drug induced rage!!!
Renee - i also think the buterfly is a sign, how beautiful if it is.

sorry im not keeping up atm am soooo tired! feeling like a beached whale!!
pregpan - ive also been having cramping and niggles but trying to ignore them considering im only 34wks!! i dont really remember what it feels like when u start dilating.. i know they checked me before i was going to be booked in for induction and i was already 2cms and i didnt even know it.. all id been having was period type pains up till then.. i keep trying to remember what labours really like but i cant remember the actual sensation haha i think my mind has blocked it out.. i remember it hurting alot and wishing it would just end but even though i didnt have any drugs i kinda just skipped off to another place until it was time to push i think...

ooo I didnt think of it that way! I thought it could of been a goodbye from Dwayne's grandpa to Rory.

LOL MD your not the only one who hasnt been to Fiji! Its too expensive to fly over there from Perth lol :)

Prepgan - It seems my body doesnt know how to dialate haha. I didnt feel any changes at the end, even when I was a week over due! But it sounds like something will happen soon! Gosh, how exciting! Have you tried the fit ball, walking etc?

Noni - LOL I think thats my main memory too, wanting it all to just STOP! Saw your photo's on fb, looking great! Is there much of a difference between your Asha belly and this one?

I have woken up with a sore throat and Rory has woken up with the sniffles!!

renee - i dont have as many pics of my asha belly.. not really sure why that is must have a look through all the old files and see if i can find them.. i think asha sat much higher and was alot rounder from memory.. goodluck with the TTC :)

MD - I second that, you really deserve a holiday after such a full on year. I havent been to Fiji either, for the same reason as Renee said hehe. WA's equivilent of Fiji is Bali!

I am home from work today, as poor M has got a bad cold, she had raging temps every few hrs all last night & just coughing heaps. So I called in & told work I wont be in. So seeing as I am home, I thought I would try get in for a scan, seeing as my spotting is now full blown bleeding. I am not too worried seeing as I remember this scenario with M, but I must admit the bad thoughts are starting to creep into the back of my mind. Scan isnt till 4 so I will let you all know, wish me luck big time please!!!!

goodluck hayley... i am impressed by your 'zen' - i admit i would e scared (though it sounds normal for you)... let us know how you go.
i hope miss m is feeling better soon...
