Happy 2nd Birthday Katie!!
Clare, thinking of you :comfort:
MD, yay for no more steriods!! That is really good news.
MM, poor Maddie! I hope she gets better soon. Sounds terrible!
Trill, hope the trip is going well and that Mr A was co-operative at the show.
Ange, how exciting that you are moving to PNG! I am envious, I wish we would do something cool and random like that.
Amelia slept for 6.5 hours straight last night! I so hope she continues to be a good sleeper. Meanwhile, W wouldn't stay in bed and got up about 7-8 times last night.
I am going to brave a 1.5 hour trip to get to the shops tomorrow - I am so underprepared for a baby! I stupidly assumed that she could wear W's baby clothes but didn't take into account that he was a Brisbane baby so all his stuff is too thin. Here you have to layer them up with body suits, socks, onesies, wool jackets, blankets etc. W just wore a wondersuit lol. I did wonder why you can't find wondersuits here - der, they are too cold for NZ! And she is 4cm bigger than him so she doesn't even fit his newborn stuff anyway. Have been making do with the 4-5 onesies that fit.
W is so cute with A. Yesterday she was crying and W said "might give her one kiss", so he did and she stopped crying and he said "that made her all better, she's not crying now". He is really helpful getting blankets etc for her (usually brings in a whole armful lol).
Happy Birthday Katie - hope you have a wonderful day !!
md - yayyyy for you!!!!!!
arte - that's great that she had a good sleep - but a pity that you couldn't really enjoy it. But i guess, that's part of the Mummy job description! lol. I'll have a look in my stash for some clothes for you ;
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RORY AND KATIE!!! Mwah mwah
happy birthday rory and katie xoxoxoxo
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RORY!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE!! I hope you both had wonderful days.
Happy Birthday Little Katie!!! Hope you had a wonderful day :birthday2: Cally did you do something nice today? I can't remember, it seemed like you had birthday things spread over a couple of weekends?
I've been fretting for Clare, wondering how it's going in Toowoomba. Sending you :hugs: and love if you're reading. xxx
Ginger, how you going sweetie, feeling a bit perkier today?
Arte LOL at you being unprepared - by about 20 degrees worth! Good luck, hope the shopping trip goes smoothly. BTW I think you moving back to NZ was pretty random and cool.
MM - how's M going today?
Noni - how's A - is she getting better now she's on the ABs?
Missy E was delighting us today by running back and forth between DH and me, giving us a big hugs, back and forth, for about 10 mins solid. It was like she couldn't pick who she wanted to hug the most LOL. Too gorgeous. She's also taken to saying "Thankyou darlin'"! Awww. I love this child sooo much!!!!
Happy Birthday to Katie for yesterday hope your day was wonderful
MD- Awwwww Miss E is too cute
Hoping everyone is feeling heaps better today. Olivia her 2 yearold molers and had the biggest runny poo this morning I mean it was terrible and running down her legs........yukkkooo hope they come though soon.
Have a wonderful day to all
Leanne - ewwwww. I think Hannah might be getting hers as well - she's been a little grumpy and crying when she goes to bed at night. Hope Livvie's come through quickly for her and for you :)
Clare - hope everything is going ok. Was thinking about you at prayer time at school this morning.
afm - i had to take Jessica for an ultrasound last week - small lump on her shin - (although not on the bone which is good) and she had to give a urine sample (weeing alot) and have a blood test as well (at which she fainted!!!)
I got a call today from the receptionist at the docs saying that our Doctor wanted to see Jess tomorrow - but not to worry, it's nothing sinister. Of course - now i can't stop worrying!!!! I'm sure everything will be fine though
Jaz - good luck at the doctor's tomorrow.
MD - yay for no more roids!!
Trill and PP - glad you had a good meetup. Well done A, sleeping through all the shopping!
Arte - way to go Amelia!!
Clare - how's it going? Thinking of you.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone. I think she had a pretty good day. We didn't do anything particularly special. I blew up about 50 balloons and had them all in our room for when she came in. That was a hit! We made cupcakes in the afternoon for her to take to school today (which are still sitting in the fridge at home....). We had a lovely walk along the headland after breakfast, during which I think one of her shoes fell out of the pram so she is shoeless at school today! We'll just say I wasn't feeling like mother of the year in the carpark at day care this morning!
Happy birthday to our gorgeous Sept boy Noah!!! :birthday2: Hope you have a lovely day!!!
How is everyone going? This thread quietness is starting to freak me out!!!
 JaZaH, it's natural that you will be a bundle of nerves, but they really don't hand out reassurances unless everything is Ok, kwim? Yuck at having to take her for a blood test, I've so far managed to avoid that with my H, but aren't we lucky we live in a wealthy country where we have access to good medicine, and blood tests and ultrasounds?!
Clare - holding you in my thoughts constantly sweetie. xxx
Well I've copped a dose of the lurg but I am skating along without chills so hoping to avoid the whole fever/bloodtest/hospital part. DH took the day off to look after Missy E which means I am going *insane* with the constant noise of motor-racing going on the teev. Lucky for me he's such a good DH, the total package really is quite good. :p
ETA - Cally oh I'm so glad I'm not the only mother of a toddler who has the occasional shoe crisis. We have resorted to socks and sandals more than once...LOL. The cakes will be enjoyed just as much tomorrow!
Happy Birthday Noah - hope you're having a wonderful day :)
Pap - is it this week that your dh is away or next? Hope everything is going well.
Cally - thanks :) I read your status on Facebook - you poor thing - don't worry though - we all have days like that. Hannah is always kicking shoes off - we've had to backtrack so many times at the shop. lol.
md - the ladies at QML where she had the blood taken were so lovely to her. My poor big chook - she doesn't like the sight of blood or even talking about it. After she had the ultrasound she asked me whether she would have to have the lump cut out - i answered 'maybe' (don't want to lie to her) and she said she wished she'd never had the ultrasound.
I hope you don't get any sicker . Glad you're happy with your choice of hubby. I was thinking this myself yesterday (about my dh of course ;) ) Sure, he gives me the heebiejeebies sometimes, but he's a great daddy and he takes care of me when i need taking care of :)
hi everyone
Clare - big hugs to you. i am thinking of you - sorry i havent been on much so i just saw your news.
HAPPY BELATED BDAT KATIE AND RORY! (did i miss anyone else - i hope not)
Thanks for the bday wishes for gorgeous N - we had a fantabulous party yesterday and today he is at kindy (am i bad mum for that??) where i am sure he will have a great time, i know they are having cake for afternoon tea and i took in party hats and balloons so as much as i want to pickhim up early i better give him some time for that and to enjoy bveing the centre of all that attention! the party was awesome yest, it was a beautiful day so we did most of it in the garden. i made 2 of the barnyard cakes from the old women's weekly book (i didnt get any pics but ILs did so i will post them when they pass them on to me) and they all had a ball on the play equiment i hired etc. we also did a fun singalong (DH on the guitar) which the kids loved. N dressed up as a chicken and was so cute! then he crashed for a nice long arvo sleep before we went to his frioend from kindy's party that afternoon. was so lovely to see how he is with all his friends from kindy. adorable. he loved having lily in his house.. she arrived 1st and he took her by the hand and showed her his room (i made sure they kept the door open LOL) and the bath and then all the toys etc we had out for the party. cute!
Had a great meet up with Sherie on Fri - it was soooo good to meet you in person. A is so delightful and so much fun... we also went to floriade on sat and had a great time in the petting zoo. i looked out fo ryou, but you were lost somewhere with the 10 000 other peopel there i guess! hope you got some good shopping done.
Jaz - poor Jess - i hope the dr has good news.
MD - hope you dont get too sick. yay for no more roids!

Lucky you - you deserve it!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOAH!!!!
Hi everyone. sorry if i've freaked you all out a little with my MIA-ness. i'm feeling a lot better today, i think a mixture of sleep deprivation and sahm-boredness have been getting to me. for the first time in 2years i've actually found myself getting a little bored lately..and i'm totally sick of cleaning the house, only to have it be completely trashed again the next day iykwim?
anyway, sorry for my absense and whinging....i'm back!!!!
ginger - totally understand. I get sick of cleaning the house as well. dh has said we'll get a cleaner - but to be honest, it would just look like crap again the next day!!
I understand the boredom part as well. As much as we looooove our children, and they can keep us entertained most of the time- doing the same thing day in and day out can be painful. Dh often wonders why i get so cranky in the mornings - it's because i do the same thing every morning - every day of the year!!!
anyway - i'm glad you're feeling much better - and i say "stuff the housework".
