Hello there !!!
I just wanna wish all the Sept 2007 babies a very, very, very happy cake filled birthday.....im sure you've heard it before, but where has that time gone?????....i must say though, i do love 2yr olds...something awfully cute watching them trying to talk, walk, or do anything for that matter ;).
So HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!!!
-
Hi everyone!
Oz so good to hear from you - and DING DING!!!! baby cooked sweetie! i cant wait for the big news (is someone going to post in here for us??)
MM - when are you back from bali? there is a chance i will be in perth with my boys at the end of oct for a couple of days - i want to meet up if I am!!
Poor kids on ABs, at least we will soon be over all these seasonal bugs...
Both my boys are sleeping - so i have some (more) scotch fingers and a cuppa and will watch proj runway and then head to bed before the feeding and settling begins for the night... (i wonder if i will make it trhough the episode before one of them needs me). DH is home tom morning, YAY! proud of myself for getting thru these days, soooo hard - even if i did have reinforcements last night! i am really realising what special and kind and thoughtful friends i have here, it is hard to feel that sometimes since we have only been here 2.5 yrs iykwim
-
PP you should be proud of yourself, your a great mummy. I record project runway, I hope Anthony wins lol. MM will be doing my birth announcement, what do you call it in BB world..... my PIG? LOL
-
yeah i usually tape it too... but thought i would watch live this time. that said i have had to settle both boys since it started so i may be re-wtching the recorded version (esp as i thik i hear jacob again....ALREADY)

MBear, happy birthday to Samantha
PAP, come back and talk to me about self control (or lack thereof) when you are on your second packet of choc scotch biscuits lol
Ozstar, I am so excited for you. I hope you have a fantastic birth. I think you induced last time? I found the natural labour this time round to be soooo much better. I could rave about it for ages lol, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
MD, good luck with the appointment today. And I hope you can avoid the eye goobies. Sorry that you got the weight gain side effect. I have a double chin now, I was hoping it would go away when the baby was born but alas, it was just too many M and M's.
Trill, is your mum better now?
Ginger, DH has had a few surly days lately. The lack of sleep (he has been getting up to William) is getting to him and last friday he needed some time out and went deer stalking. He came back in a much better mood, but I suspect some of that was the half packet of secret cigarettes that he smoked while he was away lol (I found the rest in his car).
-
Happy birthday to Samantha!!!!! Great to see you pop in Mbear :)
Oz, that's no good he's not well either :( I hope he's on the mend
Not much happening here today really. I will make Alister's cake to have tonight because with little A's tomorrow it will just be bedlam by the time we get home so it will be better to have it tonight. I was going to do a spiderman cake, but decided to go with the Lion cake from the orginal WW cake book as he's fascinated by lions lately. I got his tractor off layby the other day and set it all up - he had a sit on it and was quite taken with it but we put it away again LOL. Not that he will worry too much. Plus he's getting the wooden thomas Roundhouse and sawmill - Lindsay covets those more than Alister does!
Arte, thanks for asking about Mum. Shes much better now but her levels are still high - 18 by the end of the day but her morning ones are fine and apparently it will just take her body time to get used to the insulin again as she was functioning for so long with such high levels.

Hi Ya Girls,
MBear- Happy Birthday Samanther
To all our sick babies- hope you all have a speedy recovery so our mummy's can get some rest.
-
Hi girls!
MBear: i know! they are growing so fast, and i have to say that although my first, i LOVE the whole 'being 2' thing! they are just so sure of their place in the world and that is so precious.
MD: we have conjunctivitis here too. luckily once we have the drops DD can be back at kindy; strange that they dont let H get back to school...or is it harder to get rid of as they get older?
good luck with the appt today babe, and REVEL in the time you have with him. you are more important that his schedule, remember that.
Sherie: happy cake making! mine is still in the freezer waiting for an opportunity to have a partee. prolly wait until we are in the new home now :(
Arte: te he he on finding the ciggies...they think they are sooo subterfuge!
Ginger: that is so amazing and precious that your DH can take L out and do the SMC (secret men's club) stuff together. these are forever memories for L, setting him on a path for his own future father-dom rituals. mwah, love it!
AFM: well i am in a tizz. the house-sitter is organised for the animals YAY! i still have to pack, go shopping for the bag of tricks on the plane for leila, have to finalise the carseat option for the plane seat and have decided to buy a stroller in italy rather than lug ours around. phew. and i still have NO IDEA what to wear. and of course AF has decided to show up just in time for the 30 plane trip . THAT will be fun. not. LOL!

hi girls
well i actually managed some 'me' time this morning. dad looked after both boys while i got my eyebrows waxed! woo hoo!!! it was the first time i've been kid-free since j was born, so it felt pretty weird, but nice too iykwim??
clare- what little tricks are you gonna pack for the plane trip?
md- best of luck today sweetie.
arte- lol about secret ciggie stash. i've found one of those in dh's garage once but it was of the more green variety LOL
pap and oz- i loved project runway last night, i was totally going for anthony. i think he's amazing!
jaz- my dad bought that magazine the other day when i was out with him, i might havce to check it out now on your recommendation!
i've been thinking of doing a weight-loss ticker to help motivate me but i think it might backfire and end up going upwards instead of downwards which would be super embarassing!!!
-
wooo hooo G on the 'you' time. you deserve it. my brows are in desp need of some work... might do that next week.
Well Dh is home - YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he is at the office now but will be home to come and get N from kindy. he is going to be so excited! Dh got me some gorgeous shoes - 2 pairs! and some cute clothes for the boys from gap. so there is upside to these trips...
Arte - LOl at the secret ciggie stash..
my pram just arrived - YAY! so DH will build it tonight. happy pregpan. reminds me i think i need a new name - any suggestions?
better go - we are off to melb tomorrow and i need to get boys clothes ready etc
-
Mbear so lovely to see you in here! Happy birthday little miss Samantha!!! :birthday2:
Ginge & Arte, there was a while there where I considered getting myself a secret ciggie stash - even tho I've never smoked. I wanted those indonesian ones that smell like cloves and taste sweet and are very very very bad for you. It's from the same part of my psyche that lets me drive in the wrong direction in the shopping centre carpark and keep my library books way overdue. Rebel without a clue... I mean cause LOL.
Trill I am looking forward to seeing pictures of the lion cake. Missy E *loves* lions (frequently crawls around the floor growling and roaring) and there's a very-well-played-with-already lion family in her new Duplo zoo set.
Clare - just breathe deeply and write a list. Catching airplanes has been, in my life's experience, the single most stressful event...it's the ultimate deadline isn't it and the Virgo in me can't stand the idea that I might leave behind something I need! So there's always an overpacking crisis and usually a very late night involved. but it will all be worth it when you are soaking up the sights and sounds and love in Bella Italia!!
I don't know about Project Runway but we did see Bruno last weekend. Somewhat more confronting than Borat was :o.
AFM - After a sleepless night last night, the surgeon was just as lovely as I remembered (and fabulously good at talking to you square in the face when your BBs are on full glorious display PMSL) - and very reassuring. So I will be having a mast with an immediate recon using the Latissimus dorsi (shoulder) muscle (which they tunnel through under your skin into the boobie position) and he's keen to preserve my nipple for me, even tho it means removing it then sewing it back on, which is a bit of a mindbender when you think about it (I won't even describe the hand gestures he made when talking about removing the tissue from behind the nipple ). He has thrown me into a loop tho by suggesting that my healthy breast is "sorry looking" (:o) and I told him no it's not it's lovely and it's mine...but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't seize the opportunity for a lift since she is umm, gazing southwards these days. ARGH Poor DH is trying to very diplomatically say it's my choice (avoiding voicing an opinion) but after years of telling me how much he adores my BBs it's apparent he's very aware that they aren't what they used to be. What sh**s me off is that if I'd never had a tumour I would never in a million years have contemplated surgery for cosmetic reasons. I feel kind of morally compromised by the whole situation :wall:.
ETA - PP how about Mamapan? LOL
-
PAP - OOOOOHHHHHH YAY I would LOVE to meet up. But I wont be back till the 23rd Oct, so if you are here after that, for sure! How good is your DH, mine wouldnt have a clue what to buy me shoe wise & he wouldnt have a clue about Gap! N's face is going to light up when he see's dad. Yay for your pram arriving.
Trill - The WW lion cake is a good choice I think, it looks like a fun one to make as well. A will be thrilled with it.
MD - Oh glad someone hears me on the painful essay writing. If its a subject I am interested in the words just flow so easily. But this one is SO BORING. Sorry you posted as I was typing....ohh even just the thought of talking to a doc with the BB's hanging out, shudder shudder lol. Yes it is your decision, but I think if it were me I'd get the other one lifted a bit. You will feel like a new sexy woman I think.
Ginger - I love your dad he sounds so great. He must love looking after the boys so much. Thank goodness for your dad!!
Clare - OH NO bad timing for AF or what!? So hang on are you leaving tomorrow? I am so jealous, I would love to visit Italy one day. How long are you gone for? Good idea buying a stroller over there & I'm sure they have some nice looking ones as well being Italy.
Must add I am SO proud to be the one to do Ozstar's birth announcement. Cant wait for the big day I am already wording it in my head lol. I just hope I am not in Bali as I dont know how soon I can get to a computer. The hotel we are in should have net access anyway.
Have been birthday cake shopping today, we want to make a hi 5 theme cake & we are hoping to do Jup Jup (trial this weekend) or maybe just the hi 5 hand if its too hard. Seems Hi 5 are not too popular anymore, because now all the party isles are filled with Dora & Diego.
-
MD - so sorry i forgot to post about your appt today, i was thinking of you I promise!!! I am so glad it went well - it is a dilemma re the 'lift' - but i think if you want it thete is no harm to get it done at the same time. if you dont do it will they make the other one look like it? it must feel good to be at this end of things, moving onto the next stage... your poor DH is in a bit of a difficult position - what is the right thing to say LOL!
ok now i am off to get the boys' clothes ready..
ETA - MM if we do comeit will be on the 29th and 30th oct... so you will be back and tanned!!! YAY! it is just apossibility and it is looking like maybe it isnt worth it as flights are exxy but i would love to come!
-
I am just coming on for a whinge, I just slipped on some water and did the splits lol, I bet it looked pretty spectacular at 37 weeks pg too. I am fine but my groin hurts. Bub is goin mental, bet that spread my pelvis wide open lol. Now I have a limp to go with my waddle
-
hi girls!
MM: no we leave on sunday...there's just soo much to do. 4 weeks worth of clothing and supplies arrghh!
that is soo cool: you are someones PIG!!! lucky duck! it's moments like those that i wish i had a mobile....
G: i am thinking of buying out the counter of a $2 store...you know, all the boxes at the register that have sparkly, feathery bits and bobs..i am thinking fluffy pens. we also have a travel magna-doodle for her to create 'art' on, a small new dolly, some playdough etc...nothing that can be projected down the aisle would be nice LOL!
i soo need an eyebrow wax. need to do it tomorrow...cant go to italy looking woolly.
MD: yipee on the boob man appt! golly gosh we are in the business end of the whole proceedings. that is alot to take in regarding the other boobie. hmmm, not sure what i would do. i guess i would seriously do a pros and cons list. like how would i feel with it being 'new', how would i feel with it being 'as it was'...
well, you see with my DD being a VIRGO and i am TERRIFIED that she will be exactly as you describe and go bonkers if i forget ANYTHING LOL!
-
PP (or should I say Mamapan?) - that's the tricky thing - it's actually harder for him to make the recon match the natural breast than it is to make it match another recon or an uplifted one. TBH I am most concerned about preserving sensation in one BB since there will be none in the new one. If I could have my cake and eat it too (uplift WITH sensation) then the decision would be easier...but I was too busy digesting everything else he said and forgot to ask about this.
MM - that surprises me because High5 seems just as popular with the littlies as it ever was. Have you checked ebay or online stores for high 5 stuff? I reckon a Jupjup cake should be pretty achievable!
ETA - OMG Katie you must be in such pain! Quick ice your groin NOW and book an appt to see your dr/a physio cos i'm pretty sure it'll stay sore now that it's been stretched - you might need some tubigrip to wear to help support your pelvis.
-
Awww Oz, hope you are ok! That would have hurt. Take it easy!
PAP - Thats ok I know flights to Perth are expensive. We'll see what happens. As for tanned, pffft I wish. My white albino skin only goes a shade of red hehehe!
Clare - Oh Sunday ok well you have a couple of days to pack & organise. Good luck on that 30 hr flight bet you are nervous about that. What about giving the Brauers calm a go? Someone on here mentioned that to me before so I will probably use it for our 3 hr flight (haha big wuss I am) to Bali.
This jup jup cake is gonna be a mission to make lol
