sherie: that is a way cool bunk bed. and yeah i do like that you can have the bottom bed separate. gives them a bit of freedom ITMS.
Arte: oh the tantrums. oh boy they are heinous lol.
leila is also of her generation. she knows all about mobile phones...and we dont even have one lol!
AFM: took marta to the osteopath yesterday as she has a posterior tongue tie and some attachement issewes. i was recommended to see an osteo from the LC and wow, how amazing is it??!! she was able to pick immediately (well, ok after a few minutes of working on her) that she was a posterior baby with a cord around the neck! i was way impressed. and she was able to tell which side she was wedged in and all. during the session it was amazing as i was breastfeeding her while she was working on Marta and you could actually see her suck better! and afterwards when the osteo handed her over to me, it was like holding a completely different baby. she held her body so differently....it was kinda freaky lol.

Cass- I'm dying here!! Do you mind if we change venue to the coach and horse in ringwood at 11. 3 hours in the car is not feeling achievable. But ringwood seems do-able. Sorry for being soft.....
-
i reckon we could do it! i'll have DH with me so he can do all the navigating 'cause i am a shocker for that lol!
-
hi girls
the coach and horses doesn't open until 12pm....so i was wondering if you guys would prefer to go to a kid friendly cafe in wonga park that actually opens at 10am or i also know of another great one in warrandyte that has a train for the kids to play on and opens earlier. that way we can spend a good 2 hours there before the littlies get tired and we need to go iykwim?
lemme know what you guys want to do......
-
Early is better for us....
-
the warrandyte one has a great outdoors area but it means that we are not undercover...but, i think it looks like the bad weather isn't going to hit until the afternnon anyway so if we went early we would be fine :) there's also a liitle pond with ducks in it for the kids to feed.
i'm just going to check the weather site...
what are you thinking jm?
-
i'm easy and the weather looks ok for the morning! i'll check back tonight...what's the name of the warrandyte one? just so i can google map it :)
-
the warrandyte one is called warranglen and is really lovely :)
-
oohhh i just had a look and it does look lovely! oohhh i hope JM says yes!!!!!
if so, what time?? still 11am, or 10am is better? we are easy...i know, i have said that alot the last few days
-
I am very jealous of the meet up :(
It has been crazy hot here the last few days - today was about 26 degrees - probably not hot by your standards but it is really uncomfortable!
We had a big family water fight tonight which was good fun.
Trill, so they can have pain for months? I really don't think this is the option for us. I don't have the stamina for extended fake-sympathy-when-I-know-it-can't-be-that-bad.
-
oohhh water fight sounds like fun!
my suggestion would be to meet at the cafe at warranglen at 10am. will wait to hear what jm wants to do.
i can ring at 9am and try to book us a table right next to the train for the kids
eta- so you found where it is cass? warrandyte rd
-
10 am, lock it in, pm me the address Ginge.
Arte- i did laugh at 26 degrees being hot. Sorry!
Trill- Feb to make a bed??? That seems like ages, maybe they shut down over chrissy?
MD- You glued to the TV???
-
Can't believe I didn't know there was an Oprah special on tonight.
Trill - we have a forced two week shutdown immediately after Christmas, plus I'll have the 23rd and 24th off to head up to Canberra. Good thing about working in the construction industry, everyone is shut - although December is always crazy trying to finish things off. Cool looking bed!
Arte - totally with you on that extended fake sympathy thing!
JM - 12 weeks tomorrow! when are you telling the rest of the family??
I've just hung the advent calendar up. It's one that Mum made and I'm quite proud of myself that I've got enough little bibs and bobs to fill it without resorting to chocolate. Helped by the fact DH found a Lego advent calendar with lots of little things to create in it. We've broken it up to spread it out over 3 years of Christmases (gosh that's a long time!). Christmas tree is going up on Saturday.
-
Never Cally. it's wierd i just don't feel like telling people?! My parents know now. You MADE an advent calender?! Wow, good on you! Love to see a pic, or perhaps some laymans instructions for next year. ;)
-
Cally, I covet one of those lego advent calendars, but never manage to get one before they sell out.
The bed place does shut down over Christmas and we missed out by 3 weeks for pre-christmas delivery.
Arte, It wasn't a constant pain by any stretch of the measure, just if he bumped them as the incision site was a bit tender. I think that would vary from person to person like any surgery would. I still think he had a better recovery than what I would have done with a tubal ligation. There would be the recovery from surgery as well as a week in hospital. It is just easier for them to do it. And do what I did - tell him to just suck it up LOL.
-
cally- i had to have a laugh at your dh and his lego calendar. he is obsessed! have you ever taken him to lego land (i think it's in L.A.?)
-
YAY!!! see you guys in 2 hours!! *must remember camera*....*and must get leila in shot this time* bahahahah. do you guys remember the last meet-up of MP, cally, MD and I bahahahahaha!
-
cass- just in case you read this before you leave- there's a table booked under 'Grace'
