Hi guys! I finally have a chance to get my BB fix - it's only taken all day!
Be warned, this may be a large post (but, then, when have I been known to write short ones?? ;) ).
Kayla - that GOD you didn't have any of those fish and chips. That would have been the last thing you and Nixee need. Mind you, the stress of worrying about DH couldn't have been all that great for you either. Does he know what all these things are doing to you???? Car accidents, food poisoning!! Wrap him up in cotton wool and refuse to let him leave the house!!
Trish - you have one stubborn little girl in there! I can only imagine how hard it must be to attend to Noah AND have those contractions. Maybe it's a good thing to help you to concentrate on something else? Still, I have heard that contractions can make you want to rip someone's head off. Maybe Noah should just duck and run, LOL. Yay at him not screaming at the pool today. What a good boy! Maybe he is finally getting used to it all. It's amazing how kids change their minds so quickly. It goes to show that persistence pays off! Remind me of that statement when Little Nobba is refusing to do what is good for it!! LOL Thanks for the mobey number too. I have got the list now and will send it to everyone after I finish this post.
Tanya - thanks for your number too! I don't blame you for feeling all confused about the contractions. If I started getting them, I would think it was "it" for sure! I guess it's a bit different when you have gone through it before. I hope they result in actual labour soon! Emily sounds like she is a brilliant sleeper! Maybe you and Trish need to trade toddlers every second day to give her a break?? ;)
Sarah - big :hugs: 4 U matey! It's hard when we get a reality check, isn't it? Honestly, I still feel like this whole baby thing is all just a dream. Uno... it feels like I have been pregnant for 2 years because we were TTC for all that time. The concept of an actual "baby" is a little hard to grasp. I am sure it will hit me like a brick when I actually think about it and I will have a stress attack like you. Still, I don't think it's entirely a bad thing to have a bit of a worry. At least you know you are not in denial. Your Mum will be an excellent support - I am sure. Just because she had c-sections doesn't mean it is completely foreign to her. It's amazing how Mums can just step up to the plate when we really need them!
Fi - sounds like that massage is just what you need! LOL @ the realisation that you are now a housewife! I sorta had that too but I hadn't been working full time for nearly as long as you. Neil is loving the fact that there are always clean clothes in the drawers and his dinner is cooked. He was doing SOOOOOO much when I was working. I bet Shane is loving it too! I hope that camera turns up soon! If you can't find it by the time you have Spuddy, I am sure Neil won't mind if you borrow ours for at the hospital. I would hate to think you would have to resort to a disposable camera on that important day!!
Maryann - I hope your OB can give you some good news and tell you that bubs will be here soon!
Ok... sooooo today. Where do I begin?
I had another shocking night. Neil woke me up at about 3am because I was "sooking" in my sleep. It felt like my left eyeball was going to explode! I could feeeeel my pulse racing through my head. It was aweful. On top of that, horrible heartburn and nausea. Neil got me a packet of peas wrapped in a tea towel to put on my head (lucky for me it wasn't a steak, LOL). It helped a fair bit. When he got up at 6 (it was meant to be 5 but the poor bugger was too tired), I got him to get me some more panadol. Thankfully I slept through until about 8:30am. Woke up to the phone ringing. It was my Dad! Shock, horror! He rang to let me know that he was doing an audit in Geelong for the next 2 days and my step-mum wasn't going to be with him so if I needed him, his phone was going to be on all day. I tell you I wasn't expecting that!!
Anyway, Lauren turned up and we went to the hospital. The MDAU clinic is just down the corridor from the birthing suites. They sat me on a bed straight away and took my BP. It was pretty high (can't remember the numbers). I was hooked up to the monitor again. I had to lay sorta on my side to get bub's heart beat which was pretty normal and constant. I didn't get as many movements as Friday night but, then, bubs tends to be quieter in the mornings I find. This machine was a lot better as the button I had to press was on a little hand-held thingy rather than on the actual machine. They took my BP again about a half hour later and it was better but still high. After about 40 minutes of that, they unhooked me and said that the Dr would come in and see me in a sec because my BP had gone up again. The Dr. (another gorgeous, young, blonde thing - but lovely) spoke to me a bit about why high BP is a concern and that I would have to make some lifesyle changes once the baby is born (duh!!). Anyway, she had a feel for the baby and checked my reflexes. She said there were 2 options. She would do an internal to see how bubs was doing. If it looked favourable, they might opt for inducement. Otherwise it might mean putting me on BP medication until bubs is ready. She did the internal (which was uncomfortable but didn't hurt at all) and straight away said, "Nup... bubs isn't ready to come out yet." as she was able to move the head around etc. So that ruled out induction which I was kind of glad about because I don't want to try and force the little mite out before it is ready. The Dr. said that she would speak to her boss about whether or not to put me on BP medication but that would take a half hour or so. They needed the bed so I sat in the waiting area. When the Dr. came back, they took me in for a scan so I got to take a sneaky-peek at Little Nobba once again. All the blood-flow etc. seemed pretty good and there was apparently lots of good amniotic fluid pockets. Basically, Little Nobba is having a fabbo time in there!! LOL
So, after all that, I got a referral for a "growth scan" on Thursday which is another ultrasound. I guess they will be checking to see how ready bubs is to come out. And - you guessed it, no medication!! Grrr.. She just told me to buy some panadeine. If I get worse before Thursday, I shouldn't hesitate to call them. It's a bit frustrating because the panadol has done nothing so I am not sure that the panadiene is going to do much. Neil is really annoyed and has said that if I get anywhere near as bad as last night, he is taking me in. "F*** 'em" he said, LOL. He is working his second job tonight but has told me to call him if I feel even the slightest bit icky. He is really worried, I think!
So, there you go. I am glad that I am not going to be induced this week (well, until Thursday at least) because I still feel like it is too early and that bubs still has a bit of growing to do. Knowing that this BP isn't really affecting the baby as yet is reassuring. Still, if the panadeine doesn't work, I will definitely be calling them!
As for the rest of my day.... I have spent the afternoon trying to keep plaster board for our kitchen dry and out of the rain, LOL. The sheets were too big to fit in the garage so I had to run and cover it with all the sheets and doonas I could find to stop the rain from ruining it. Neil got home and had to quickly measure and divide it up so that we could get it in out of the weather. Non-stop action in the Morris household, LOL.
-
Awww Dee... sorry to hear about Thunder! What a horrible thing to happen. Urrgh.... the thought of anything happening to our dogs just freaks me out. They are part of the family. Big :hugs: matey!
-
Awwww Deb, sounds like quite an ordeal. You poor thing  I hope the panadeine works for you & everything will be ok for Thursday. Yay at seeing little Nobba again though ;)
Sorry to hear about Thunder Dee :smt022 I think we all get very attached to our pets. I don't know what I'd do if anything was to happen to my cat.
-
Shannon - yeah I did find it a bit odd. They jump up and down about how high my BP is and how I have to keep an eye out for headaches yet I still go home with nothing but panadeine. Hmm... My sister thought it was a bit off. She studied Myotherapy and, as part of that, they were told that if a patient presents with at least 3 symptoms of whatever, it is cause for alarm. For example, I present with high BP (and erratic at that), headaches and sometimes blurred vision which are all symptoms of pre-eclampsia. There was also a slight trace of protein in my urine on Friday night but it was ok today. I guess I just have to keep hassling them if my headaches don't subside. Thankyou for your thoughts though :)
-
Thanks Sarah. It was a bit of a bonus getting to see bubby once again. Mum is coming in with me on Thursday so she will get to have a sneaky-peek too!
-
Debbie sorry to hear everything is not going to well. Make sure you do bug them more about the headaches they will have to do something soon to help.
With the protien in the urine mine was only a little, then over a few days it went to plus 4.
I would say you have pre-eclampsia but only mild.
-
Thanks for the advice, Michelle. I really should have called them last night. If there is a repeat performance tonight, I won't hesitate considering what you have just told me. Thursday feels like a lifetime away!!
-
Make sure you do call them or i will have to drive there to take you myself.
I will be checking up on you everyday to see how you are doing.
You are lucky i was so worried earlier i was going to text you to see how you were doing.
-
Hi Deb, glad little nobba is doing well, hang in there (easy to say) i hope the headaches give you a break!
-
Deb, not sure what to say about today... at least you got to see little nobba again. I hope the panadine helps... if not I would be calling them straight away!
Dee... what can I say, I sort of know how you are feeling atm. Except I haven't been able to bury my little one. My other cat, Mod-z, has been acting very different the passed week, which makes me almost positive Chamba isn't coming back! She is vveeeeery smoochy and hardly ever leaves the house, where as before she sometimes wouldn't come in when I called her. So I suppose Cassie will be a little off for a while too.
I had some really bad intestinal cramps today... It was awful. I also got to have a lay down which was good :) It also included an x-rated dream 8-[
Tanya
-
LOL Michelle.... I promise I will call them. I wouldn't have minded you texting me. After all, that's why we have shared our mobey numbers, hey? Thanks for being worried about me.
Thanks too, Chrissy. I'm hoping the panadeine works. I feel pretty good atm. It's usually in the middle of the night that it becomes a problem. I'll take some before I go to bed and see if that works.
Tanya - ouchies on the cramps but oooo eee at the dreams!!! LOL I wish I could have some of them!! ;)
-
Oh im so sorry to hear about Thunder Dee. That's just aweful!
Deb, you'd think they'd give you something for the high BP but i think it depends how high your BP is. I mean little nobba doesn't seem to be affected by it yet as you've said. If it was too high they would induce you. But because you've still got 2 weeks to go, doctors don't really like to take chances. When i was induced my BP got up to 158/96, normally 110/70 and they induced me whether i liked it or not, no questions asked, even though Lily was doing great. But i was also 6 days over due so they weren't that concered. It really is scary to think, 'is the baby better out than in?' But if you have the slightest bad feeling that something is not right, you should ring the hospital straight away. Hmmm...i'm starting to sound like my mum, LOL. But ykwim? Hopefully you have a better night anyhow!
Trish, your little girl better be on her way, or she'll be getting a talking to! Just kidding. Labor vibes to you.
Sending labor vibes to you too Sarah. Feeling nervious, anxious etc are very normal feelings. It all hit me about 10mins before i was induced! I broke down and couldnt stop crying. But very ounce of pain, anxiety and torture(thats how i describe being induced lol) was well worth it! You're gonna be a great mummy, I can tell from your posts. Hang in there sweetie, soon you'll be holding your little man and you'll be wondering what you were thinking!
Colleen, hope your backache is a bit better!
Labor vibes to anyone who needs or wants them!
-
Hey All,
Deb - what an epic!! I feel a bit bad, cause I knew the general jist of that from the sms you sent today - and I never said anything. Oops. Next time I promise I'll be a better reporter of your news. If you want me to be that is.
Get straight back in there if you are feeling ****, and call me anytime you need to if you cant reach anyone else. I've got no problem driving to get you - its only 10 mins to you, then 10mins to the hossy, so please keep me in mind if you need someone to help during the day. I'd only charge you a little petrol money! =P~ J/K
Dee - I am so sorry to hear about your dog. Its a small blessing he went quickly. There is nothing worse than an animal in pain. My cat got hit by a car about 2 years ago, and I was very happy to see that she didn't suffer at all. Its just the most awful thing to lose a pet that way, so I know how you are feeling. Poor cassie - I hope she gets by without her mate.
Right now Lily is cuddled up with Shane on the couch, and I feel very lucky to know where both my kitties are. Still thinking about you and Chamba too Tanya.
Its very strange not having to have an early night anymore. One of the books from the library today is called "A Pregnant Dad's Diary" - I got it for Shane, but he's not big on reading, so I've decided to read a chapter to him each night before bed to help him (and me) wind down. It looks liek it might be a little liek Up the Duff - so we are going to skeip all the early pg stuff and go straight for where we are right now in the week by week stakes.
Hopefully better sleep for us all tonight, and at least a couple of babies!! do you hear me Trish adn Maryann???

SHE'S FINALLY HERE!!!!
Got a message from Trish last night at about 9pm saying that she was in labour.... Tehya was born at 6.35am this morning - 8lb 7oz
-
Firstly Congrats Trish!! Now we are all hanging to here more... But I am sure you will be getting plenty of rest now.
I had quite a good night sleep... no waking up at 1am because of silly contractions. I had a bit of trouble getting to sleep, but I slept pretty well considering... Yippeee!!
Maryann... how did you go at the Drs?
Tanya
-
Just wanted to pop in and say
CONGRATULATIONS
:happy4u:
To Trish and family on the safe arrival of Tehya!!!!
I guess this will be the start of many happy arrivals in the near future!
Cant wait to hear all the news!
-
CONGRATULATIONS TRISH!!
Sorry I haven't been around in the last couple of days. Been having a bit of a stressful time dealing with my 14 year old son whose personality seems to have done a major flip out.
On the pregnancy front, everything still the same here. I'll pop in and do a proper update later when I'm feeling more sane.
-
WOO HOO!
(Did Trish hear that in QLD?)
I bet she is over the monn to be finally holding her princess, Welcome to Tehya, 8lb 7 is ok, not too big (says she who didn't just give birth to the babyLOL)
I am so happy for Trish and Mark and the boys, well done Trish, can't wait to hear more.
You'e next Sarah, unless Nobba and Deb beat you to it that is!
Best wishes Michelle
-
Yay Trish,
Congrats to you, and yay for it all finally happening! I hope everything went well, and the name you have chosen is gorgeous.
So now we are waiting for Maryann, Sarah, and I think Tanya might be ready to pop too! But Deb could sneak in with an induction ebfore all of you if this BP carries on, and well Colleen is knocking on the door too!
I think you are safe in that Nat, Kayla and I will give you guys the labour vibes.
Whats with the son Nat - personality transplant??
Fi
-
Nat, I hope your 14yo calms down soon.... don't you just love tenage hormones!! Nearly as bad a preggy women hormones!!
Fi, I am not so sure I am ready to pop... I thought i may have been a few days ago, she was really quiet, I was restless, plenty of soft BM... But now I feel 'back to normal'... she has been kicking up a storm in the passed 24 hours, hardly any soft BM, and I have been able ot rest (well not 100%, but pretty good).
Where is Deb!! I hope you are ok Deb.
Tanya
-
I'm here!!! Sorry.... had a big sleep-in. I actually had the first night without a headache last night. The pandadeine either kicked in or my BP has subsided for a while. Either way, it was great to have a decent night's sleep. Mind you, I still woke up a couple of times with MAJOR indigestion - there's no way that is going away until bubby decides to drop a little (or get out, hehehe).
YAY to Trish and Mark on the birth of little Tehya! What a beautiful name! I hope she gets to meet Trish's Mum's GF on time. A nice size too! Hope you are doing well, Trish! Can't wait to hear all about it :)
Fi - hey... no apologies necessary about the SMS thing. All is good so far. Like I said to the Dr. - so long as bubs is happy and healthy, I don't care what I have to go through. Thanks for the offer of coming to get me if I need you. I will keep that in mind :) What a good idea reading to Shane! Not only does he reap the benefits but so does Spuddy!! hehehe I don't think I could do that with Neil. He would tell me to shut up so he could get some sleep, LOL. He is hanging for the baby to get here so that he can take some time off work. Hmmm... priorities!
Nat - oh I don't envy you with a teenage boy on your hands!! They definitely have an attitude when they are 14. I would have no idea how to get on his level to try and sort things out. Best of luck!!
Tanya - good to hear that you are getting some rest in. The calm before the storm perhaps?? Fingers crossed!
Tegan - thanks for your "motherly" advice ;) I will definitely head for the hospital if things start looking worse. I have been watching out for any extra fluid and blurry vision but so far so good! On Thursday I will quiz the Dr more about all of it and why I wasn't put on BP medication. Like you said, it's probably because I only have a couple of weeks to go. Honestly, I am glad Little Nobba isn't coming this week. I just don't feel like it is ready. Next week is good for me though ;)
Sarah - thanks for letting us know about Trish! The SMS list has definitely come in handy already, hey?
Hmmm... am feeling a little queasy but I can't work out if it is because I am hungry or not. Don't you hate that??
Well, I have to get out to kmart to buy a locking clip for my car seat. The friend who sold me the seat is coming over to put it in my car properly (since she used it for 3 kids, she is pretty much an expert!!). Her kids are terrified of dogs so everytime they come over here, I try to give them a little bit of "therapy" and slowly they are warming up to Lucy.
-
Yay Trish and Mark at last your little princess is here Tehya, what a beautiful name - can`t wait to hear more and see photos of your little darling :happy4u: :girl:
Deb - I really hope your not going to overdo it today. Rest, rest, rest is all you should be doing. So sorry to hear the hospita;l sent you home with panadeine, if you feel off you must promise us you`ll go straight back in.
Colleen - hope your backache eases, coming from me who`s been suffering for weeks :)
Tanya - I really hope you find Chamba, nothing worse then not knowing what happened.
Girls - I`m so glad you feel the same about your pets as I do, Mark said I was a big softie but then he`s been brought up on a farm all his life where animals go to the works every week and he`s also male but then Dad`s male and he keeps saying to me IF I did this, If I did that he`d still be here - why do we always torture ourselves. Could hear Cassie whining this morning, poor darling Thunder has kept her alive if we didn`t get him 4 years ago I`m sure she wouldn`t be around today, Dad said yesterday morning they were both so happy that it was a cooler morning but bounding around together. Always thought Cassie would go next, as I said she`s 15 and has bad arthritis it`s only a matter of time really.
Okay who`s next Sarah - sending you truck loads of labour vibes sweetie
Take Care
Deeanne
-
Hooray for Trish and Mark. Congratulations, I hope it all went well.
I went to the ob yesterday and he gave me an internal and I am 2cms dilated. The head is well down but I am not ready yet. So we decided to get induced which was a hard decision to make because I wanted to go naturally, I suppose that I am going to have to get used to making these decisions for someone else. So, if nothing happens before I will have the gel on Wednesday night. The doctor said that I would have a show from his examination which I did but it must have done something else because I think my waters have broken this morrning. I haven't had any contractions but I was leaking all over the place. I had to have some tests done this morning to look at the fluid and see if the baby is still moving about. The fluid is on the low side of normal and skirrel seems to be mmoving around happily.
Sarah, I had a panic attack last night. I was thinking that whatever happens the baby will be here in a day or two and my life will be completely different. It is a lot to take in.
Oh Deb, you look after yourself and make sure that you get to the hospital if you are feeling unwell.
Dee, I am so sorry about your dog.
Fi, a massage will be wonderful, it should relax you a lot.
Colleen, I loved your photos.
Maryann
-
Yay Trish Your princess is here!!!! :cheer:
What an adorable name and she is a nice size too. I cant wait to see pics and hear about your home birth.
Dee i am so sorry to hear about Thunder :hugs: to you
Hope you are feeling better today Deb I was really worried about you. Please dont hesitate to call them or go back if you feel you have not been looked after properly.
Nat Sending you stay sane vibes, teenage boys are a handful at the best of times.
Fi are you feeling more ready for your bubba now? You let me know when you want thoses labour vibes sent your way.
I also think Maryann Sarah and Tanya are ready to pop next. :contract:
I got dh back for all the stress he has caused me without even meaning to. I went to our water cooler this morning to get a drink and it wouldnt come out. So half asleep i sent him a sms saying "waters broken what do i do? ROFLMAO that dh of mine was home from work quicker than a flash. He threw the door open and I just stood there flabbergasted at what the hell as wrong. When he said to me where did they break I realised what I had written and how he had taken it. OOOPS. Revenge is really sweet when you honestly dont mean to do it
Hugs to all of my preggy buddies and everyone else.
-
maryann goodluck with everything. Sounds like things might be on the move for you if your leaking fluids etc.
Kayla LMAO at the Waters Broken SMS and your DH !!! What a classic.
Love
-
Kayla that is a classic!! Poor DH must've freaked out.
Maryann, how exciting that you'll get to meet your bub very very soon. Fingers crossed that you waters have broken & you can go naturally before Wednesday :crossfingers:
If you're a big softie Dee, that makes all of us softies too ;)
Yay Deb at feeling better today. I hope I didn't wake you up too early this morning 8-[
Glad you've been able to get some rest in Tanya. I'm sure in the coming weeks you'll be grateful for whatever you can get.
Michelle, you didn't have to yell quite so loud - Trish is in Sydney not Qld ;)
Yuck at the crazy teenage boy hormones Nat, I think Trish has been havingthe same problems lately.
As for me, thank you all for the well wishes. Hopefully it won't be long & the little munchkin will be with us :) I had my pampering done this morning, OMG does leg waxing hurt!!!! But I feel great now & ready to go.
-
Congratulations Trish :)
Welcome to the world little Tehya!!
Wishing you all the best
Take care Leah :)
-
Maryane - :crossfingers: that your waters have already broken and you`ll go naturally otherwise looks like you`ll be holding your little one by the end of the week. Good Luck and I`m sending lots of labour vibes your way.
Sarah - Sounds like your ready for your big day, do you think your body is close to birthing?
Kayla - that is just so funny, but will he believe you when your waters DO break :D
Tanya - I forgot to tell you that Mark seems to like your dream about coming 3 weeks early, he has mentioned end of March for a number of weeks now, if thats the case I`m not prepared.
Take Care
Deeanne
-
Kayla - that is soooo funny! :smt043 Well done on getting DH back. I hope he can giggle about it too. It reminds me of a time when Mum rang my Dad because she was having a bad day. Us kids were being brats, she was sick and then the dog chewed up the Barbie. Dad thought she meant the BBQ and was spewing because it was just brand new. Now.... the dog was a German Shephard but I still don't know how he figured it would chew up an entire BBQ!! LOL
Maryann - ooo sounds like you might end up going on your own without getting induced! Fingers crossed hey! :crossfingers: Still, it must be good to finally know that you are gonna have a bub with you some time this week. I know it is a bit of a freak-out but you have waited long enough!!
Sarah - nup.. you didn't wake me up. I slept through the SMS alarm on my mobile, hehehe. That's why I messaged you back so late. Yay at the pampering. I have never had a leg wax but I imagine it would hurt a bit!! Still, it would be nice to have fresh legs for the event. They are just gonna have to put up with this hairy galoopf! Atm, all I can be bothered with is shaving my arm pits because that's all I can see and reach, LOL.
Dee - I hope that poor Cassie isn't too affected by Thunder suddenly disappearing. It's so hard to console animals when they are frightened and don't know what is going on. It's gotta be so hard at her age. Poor old thing. We want to get another English Pointer when Charlie decides that his time is up (he is 12 now... I still think he has another 5 years in him) so Lucy will be the old goat when that happens. It's a horrible thought to know that eventually they won't be in our lives. If only our pets lived as long as us, hey??
Well, my friend put the car seat in properly. She showed me how it is easier to get it in really tight if you shove your knee right into the seat and use all your weight. I tell ya, you have to be rough with bubby stuff sometimes!! LOL Anyway, the seat in the Falcon is slightly tilted backwards so the car seat doesn't sit properly. I have been told that a towel or bunny rug rolled up underneath it helps it to stay more stable and sit at the right angle. I will leave that up to Neil I think!! It's nice to know that the seat is secure for bubs now. It's so cool driving around with the bubby seat all set up, hehehe.
-
LMAO @ a german shepard chewing a BBQ debbie. That image cracked me up big time !!!
Love
-
Oooh Maryann - sounds promising. Heres hoping we dont hear from you for a few days!! Good luck going naturally, and if not, well bubs will be here soon!
Sarah - I'm pleased you are all pampered up! Now you need to get Aaron to give your legs a massage to feel all the silky smoothness. I shaved mine yesterday - thats as good as they are getting. All I can say is thank god for our shower over the spa! Otherwise I'm not sure how I'd reach!!
Kayla - LMAO with your water breaking story. Probably good to get in a practise run huh?? He does realise it might not happen immediately after the waters break doesn't he?
Deb - pleased the seat is in. Thats going to be shane's job tomorrow afternoon. We have almost decided it wont fit, and we are going to have to hire a capsule. Well it will fit - but the seat will be right forward, and that aint very comfy!
I went shopping this morning, and for 3 hrs, all I cam home with was 2 nappy buckets, and a little gift pack of smelly stuff for hossy. I am losing my touch - or maybe I'm realising money doesn't grow on trees anymore?? I even found a couple of old Lotto tickets that I'm trying to get checked - they are that old, the machines at the shop wont take them anymore! Here's hoping they are winners!
Right - better start getting ready to face those girls again... Netball practise!! Help?
-
Happy to provide a giggle, Kathryn ;)
Fi - have fun at netball practise tonight! By the sounds of things, you definitely have your work cut out for you! I hope Shane can get the car seat in and still leave enough room in the passenger seat. They don't stay reversed for long so maybe it won't be too much of a hassle? Will give you a call tomorrow morning!
I wonder how Trish is doing? No doubt she's spending her time staring into her little girl's eyes and going all mushy! I can't wait!!!
-
was planning on writing a big post but after reading aobut kazz's sad news I dont have much to say
will be back on tomorrow to post.
hugs to all
-
Kayla after reading your post I had a look myself, poor Kazz I can`t believe it has happened to her again.
Now I seem to be lost for words.
Take Care Girls.
Deeanne
-
Well that just fricken sux!!
Uno... originally she and I were due on the same date?? With the bubby she lost before this one. She wasn't meant to go through this again.
Poor Kazz! That's just not fair!!
-
Like you guys, not much to say now :smt022
-
Unreal. Poor Kazz. Since I met BB and found you wonderful women, poor Kazz has had 2 big losses, and a near miss. It seems so unfair that this could happen to her, and really makes you realise how precious the little people are inside our bellies.
What a terrible thing to happen.
-
Sarah... Am I on your SMS list? Cause I didn't get an SMS :(
As for the news about Kazz... I just heard... I better go and post my sympathies... Poor Kazz!! I can't believe it!
Tanya
-
I am guessing everyone is feeling as melancholy as I am atm. Kind of bitter-sweet to be excited for Trish one moment and devastated for Kazz the next, hey??
Went shopping before for some retail therapy. Spent money we don't have but on things for bubby. Got some slippers for hospital for $5! Bargain. And they are comfy! Got some cot mattress protectors, sunshades for the back windows of the car (those slip-on ones), a little mirror to attach to the back windscreen so that we can see bubs and two gorgeous little outfits. Also bought some choccy and now feel sick cos I ate too much, LOL.
-
Hi Girls
Just a quicky from me and Tehya Makenzie. I have updated her page with a few pics, have to rearrange them all now but it will do for the time being. When I get the chance I will do a proper birth story but for thode tha really need a brief rundown here it is.
I was feeling crappy again yest afternoon, had a nap and woke having cont, still, been having them on and off since 2ish. Rang midwife who came out at 8pm and yep this is it. Was pushing for 1 and a half hours when we realised something was holding her back, I had a huge bowel obstruction that had to be removed, grose I know. Then I was found to only be 6cm and this was at around 4 am. Back to square 1. Had to breathe through all contractions now and not push, very hard to do. Within and hour or so we were ready to go again. Got back into pool and pushed for 20 minutes and she was born. Hurt like all buggery- sorry girls. No tears, no stitches, NO DRUGS - I wish they had some for me after all that. And most importantly a beautiful healthy little girl. Well not so little. My biggest yet. She was 8lb 7oz, 52cm long, head 34.5cm.
Day turned very sad at around 4pm, we got the phone call that mums gf had passed away, we had called her in the morning at the palative care centre and got them to pass on the news. It looks like she truely was just waiting for bub to be born.
I will read through all the posts and hopefully catch up tomorrow.
Hope that all are doing well.
Take care
Trish
