    *TMI Warning* Discharge :(

    Hi girls,

Sorry for this post, but I have to ask.

Since giving birth over 7 months ago, I have had a constant discharge that I didnt really think much of. I kind of assumed it was 'normal'. To get an idea of quantity, I have to wear a liner every day, and change it at night. The discharge is always there, anytime during my cycle. Has anyone else had this and/or can it be associated with problems? My labour was reasonably 'normal' however had a 2nd degree tear which must have become infected as I couldnt pee without excruciating pain for 3 months and only antibiotics made it better even though tests showed no bacteria.

    Thanks,

    Jess

Just moving this topic to Your Body After Baby.

    Jess,
I wish I could offer you some advice... however I dont really know why this could be so. I would also be interested to hear others experiences.

I have had a heavier discharge as well since having Aidyn - probably since 3rd tri actually, though probably not as heavy as you described. It sounds like something you should maybe ask your GP about?...

    Ambah,

I've actually just come back from the hospital after a number of tests - will keep you posted.

Thanks for moving my post, I had a feeling there was a better thread to put it under but couldn't remember!

I haven't had this happen to me personally, but I did have the heavier discharge during PG and had to wear a liner every day.

I hope that you find an answer Jess. Keep us posted.

    Thanks girls.

I had a good chat with my GP today and she seems to think it could be 'normal' as there is no sign of infections. I am on 'precautionary' antibiotics. I had an u/s to have a look for any other nasties and it turns out I have polycystic ovaries which came as a shock. I have a feeling it was pure luck this was discovered and had I not gone to hospital with severe abdominal pain (I think it was a simple, yet nasty, case of constipation!), and had a very thorough Dr looking after me, I probably would have never found this out, so I am not looking at it as anything to be concerned about at this stage.
