Red face AF 8 weeks PP, can I use tampons?

Following on from my last post, I am 99% sure this is AF (), very much like AF has been in the past though not *quite* as painful and crampy which I am thankful for! I have appointments on Monday for Jazz and I (with both GP and Child Health Nurse) and will ask one or both then, but just wondering if 8 weeks PP is ok to use tampons? They say not when its lochia because of infection, should I just wait this one out or can I use them...? I'm soooooooooooooo sick of being all padded up!

I think with my first initial AF following delivery I just used pads, just so I could keep an eye on it, then I went straight back to a regular cycle so started tampons again. HTH!! Bum too about getting them back so early - that sux!!!!

Does it make a difference if it was c/s or vb? I had a c/s...?

hmm, good question!! I had all v/b, so the thought of sticking something up there so soon wouldn't appeal to me at all!!

I personally don't think so.. I thought you couldn't use tampons after a Vaginal birth cus of infection cus your cervix was open...

you laboured before your c/s so not sure how it goes in your case.. but 8 weeks PP should be fine..
