Ok I don't know what the hell is going on with my body.
My bleeding had stoped about 2 weeks ago. But I have still had a reasonable amount of CM that has had the slightest of brownish tinge to it on & off since the bleeding stoped. Now last night there was a pink tinge when I wiped. Then today I went & spoke with my GP as there was (sorry TMI) a bit of a smell, not a bad smell, just different. She wasn't concerned but offered to do a swab to check if there is an infection but also said I could wait a few more days & go back next week if I have had a few clear days for a pap smear (I'm due) & she could also send a swab away then. She didn't mention the idea of it being AF as with the boys it was 12 months before she returned.
Anyway, I come home & there is nothing major, just the usual brownish tinge on the panti liner. Now I went to the loo & the panti liner is pink. Not full on blood but alot more then yesterday & I can kinda feel bits leaking IYKWIM.
Its more then your average panti liner can handle but not enough to warrent a light pad.
I dunno, sorry Fiona. My AF returned at 3 months. I bled for about 6 weeks, it stopped for a bit, came back a bit... I mentioned it to my OB when I went for my checkup (which was heaps late coz I couldn't get an appointment!) and he said it's very common to have a light bleed even after your lochia has stopped.
If you're not sure if its AF or not.. I'd be careful with contraception just in case! hehe.
I had lochia for 3 weeks and thought it was good it had finally gone.. i was expecting longer. Was all good for 2 or so weeks and then last monday bleeding returned. Here it is now 10 days later and its still coming and going, first few days were just like AF...then eased off. I dont know if its AF or just random bleeding. Overnight i get nothing....and then i think its gone.....to later go to the loo during the day and its returned but not to bad, enough for a liner.

I only commented to DH yesterday that this is the first week ive been able not to wear a pad since Jesse was born as ive either had AF or brownish/pinkish coloured CM. I remember my first AF came, then i still had quite heavy CM afterwards, then i got AF in another 2 weeks, then more CM etc etc.. Have you started on any pill? When i started the pill my AF also played up too..Id say its just your body getting back to normal.. but still wouldnt hurt getting your gp to check it out.
no I have never been on the pill. it didn't turn into anything so i guess it was just left overs. I will go cack to gp for a pap in the next few days. fun fun fun!
How annoying Fiona! My lochia went on and off for about three to four weeks and AF returned another four weeks later. Great, huh? So it might be worth checking, just in case! I haven't had my pap smear after Lucy yet. Guess I'm just a big chicken! You'll know if it's back again in another month.
Is this AF? (sorry TMI)
