Hello ladies!
I was wondering if any of you have had trouble with continued bleeding/spotting. I am 8 1/2 weeks postpartum, and I still have spotting every couple of days. I mentioned it to my doctor, and she didn't seem too concerned, but I am getting kind of sick of it, and would like to know if you have any suggestions for helping it to stop. It ranges from red blood, to light brown, and I can't seem to associate it with any particular activity. (ie. busy days, carrying my older daughter, sex, etc...) This is my second baby, and with my first, I bled lightly for the full six weeks, but then it was done. I am curious if it could be connected to being constipated. (oh the joys of postpartum days. O ) I am trying to drink more fluids, and keep up the fibre intake, but this is also a continuing problem. Does anyone know of a wonder cure? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks
I think you did the right thing going to your Doctor - it's always the best thing when in doubt!
I don't have any suggestions for you, but perhaps it may well be due to constipation and straining.......?? Otherwise, it could just be part of normal post-partum bleeding. I guess if it is still continuing you should go and get it checked out again (did you mention the constipation to your Doc?)
Thanks for the reply!
Yes, I did mention the constipation issue to my MD, and she said drink more fluids. (I guess I could have figured that one out myself. O
Anyways, the situation seems to have resolved itself - I am drinking more, less constipated, and the bleeding has stopped, for now anyways!
So lets hope it stays that way.
