Bleeding after bubs

Just a quick question... I had my beautiful baby boy 12 days ago and I am still bleeding - bright red blood. Not a whole heap, but enough probably to fill a pad in a day (if i didn't change it). Is this normal or should I tell my doc?

I am 4 weeks post vaginal delivery and just now have *almost* stopped bleeding. Just a small amount of coloured discharge. As long as you aren't soaking pads, passing large clots or notice a foul smell or funny coloured discharge (green isn't good!!) or fevers then it should just be a usual part of the post delivery period.

I had less discharge after my c-section than I did after both of my vaginal births.

I bled for just over 4wks after having bub!!!

Sounds pretty normal to me, matey. You should notice it dropping off very gradually. If it doesn't seem to do that - just stays really heavy, then I'd be talking to your dr. Congratulations on your bub

as long as there is no pain or fever along with it, its should be fine. you can still ring your maternity ward if your worried.
