Bleeding after sex

Hey Guys,
I'm new and if this is posted somewhere else I'm sorry, but I have a problem and I'm freaking out about it.
About 8 or so weeks ago, my husband and I were intimate and I started bleeding very lightly - I thought it might have been the return of my period ( my daughter was 10 months then). Since then, I've not had another period which was expected (as I was quite regular before babies). I did a pregnancy test which was negative ( just to be sure). Then a couple of days ago my husband and I were intimate again and I've had some spotting again, although not as much as last time. I've had a few cramps over the last 4 weeks or so, and kept expecting my period to return, but to no avail. Its freaking me out because you look on the internet and all you get is cancer or STD's which I know I dont have. Any suggestions?

A few years back before kids I had the same thing except mine was extremely heavy bleeding I went to the doctors and had a papsmere which came back abnormal so I had a colposcopy which turned up normal and I was told that some times there is old blood that doesn't come down and just sits there until something like penetration causes it to losen and come out. I have had a few friends that have had the same thing happen and there was nothing wrong. But I'd go see a doctor just to check
