Bleeding after sex - maybe TMI!

    Hi,

Well my lovely daughter was born 6 weeks ago, and yesterday DP and i decided to DTD.

My lochia had all but stopped (very light yellowish/brownish and ONLY happening after nursing) and my little tear was healed.

So anyway, we did, used a condom and lubricant, and it was fine - i mean it didnt hurt and didn't feel spectacularly looser or anything, and we both reached the finishing line IYKWIM!

But i noticed afterwards that my bleeding, although not heavier, is now bright red again. Is this a major concern? As i said, there was no pain at all, and it was all very nice in fact. I'm not in any pain now either.

Part of me wonders if maybe it could be my period (i am breastfeeding DD fully, but my mom had 3 kids in 3 years breastfeeding fully so my lactation consultant told me not to rely on breastfeeding for contraception!), but another part of me thinks it is too much of a coincidence with the DTD and all.

I'm seeing the doc for my six-week check on Thursday morning anyway so i don;t want to rush down there for nothing. Did anyone else experience this? Sorry if this is in the wrong place - my AO access seems to have lapsed...

    THanks

    Hana

Don't worry about it too much. This had happened to us on and off after our kids. I think sometimes DTD can stir things up a bit and if you climaxed, then your uterus can expel anything that might be left. I have even found on the odd occasion that DTD the night AF is due can bring it on a bit early IYKWIM? Although if the loss is a lot, I would ask your Doctor about it JIC, but it could also just be your AF coming back too. HTH Hana

Could just be that your cervix, etc is still a bit tender? I'd check with your dr when you have your check-up and if you're worried keep DH at arms length until then!!
