    Change in AF after baby!

I consider myself quite lucky, i have never really 'suffered' during AF's visits, was never one to get lots of cramping etc and aside from irregular bleeding while on the pill have never had any major issues.

    NOW though is another issue.

I am roughly due for AF to pop her horrible little head around the door and have been cramping for almost a week on and off, i had this last month aswell.
The other night it was so bad i was doubled over on the couch and DP thought i was going insane.
Aside from labour the only other time i have had this kind of pain is when i had a UTI, i know it's not that though as it's not constant and comes and goes days at a time.

I know having babies changes our bodies but is this something i should get checked?
I am on the mini pull but am thinking about checking with the Dr as to what else i can get/use while BFing.. i am petrified that i am going to fall PG again and the stress is not helping me.

    1. Has anyone else had such a dramatic change & what helped?

    2. should i get it checked?

    3. what options do i have other than the mini pill (sorry to those who have mentioned b4 mummy brain not working and i lost that thread)

TIA everyone, it's annoying the cr@p out of me right now and as horrible as it sounds i can't wait for AF to appear so the pain can go away!

I'd be getting that checked. There's all sorts of stuff that can go weird after baby. Pain is bad, mmkay?

I had my AF get more regular after #1, and much shorter and heavier after #2. I had to switch to tampons as pads weren't cutting it - it was doing bad things to the bedsheets, and I just put that down to my cervix opening being a bit bigger after two babies. But no change in the amount of pain, if anything they were *less* painful. And so predictable! 14 days post-O to the hour!

Thanks for the reply hun, i might try and get in and see a Dr.. i want to discuss my weight at the moment aswell as options for the pill etc.
I HATE pads but have a lifetime supply from after DD1 and DD2 so am using them all then back to tampons for me too.

Ask about a mirena - I think that's it, the IUD with hormones. I hear they're good. They make your period lighter so that would probably help with pain too.

Never had one myself (I'm averse to hormonal contraception after horrible experiences with various pills in my youth) but there's plenty of good stories on here
