Does anyone still feel 'phantom kicking'?

    Hi everyone

Just interested to see if anybody still feels those phantom kicking sensations long after the birth of bub?! My dd is almost 1 yr and i still get very clear 'kicking' sensations in my tummy. It's probably completely in my mind....perhaps because i'm feeling clucky and considering TTC bub #2 - but it's very real (and not just wind - hehehe)! Does it ever go away????
P.S - Please ignore me if i sound like a nutter!

If you're a nutter, then I'm joining you. I feel kick like senstations too, and get scared everytime LOL, but even though it feels like a kick, I know it isn't IYKWIM?

I feel a kicking sensation under my ribs when I'm in the shower and reaching up for the shampoo (see it only happens then ). It just so happens to be the same spot that I had some neural stretching occur (a numb/burning spot) in late pg, so that's what I'm putting mine down to.

I am pg now, but at 8w I doubt bubba is strong enough to make him/herself felt!

Nope, you're not a nutter (unless we all are ROFL).

I think we are all nutters then if that is that case, I have gotten that after all of mine, And after finding out about being pg with this little one, I have been getting like little twinges over my abodmen like little tiny kicks. I am thinking it is just the ligaments stretching, as i tend to get adhesions with each c-section, but it has been doing in my head at times as 'i know there is no possible way it is the bub at such an early stage.
So I am pleading the ligaments stretching defence hehe

    OMG!!!!

I seriously though i was feeling kicking!! ofcourse i KNEW it wasnt, but wow it feels like there is a little bubba in there some times....

I also put it down to wind, but sometimes i would swear it was kicking.... one day i was racking my brain "no i cant be, and if i were, it would be too small to feel it kick!?"

I am exactly the same. I was even doing tests for past few months as although I was having AF it was so light and short I thought maybe I was pg and feeling kicks. But Alas, no I am not and it must just be wind. Feels SOOOOOOOOO much like kicks tho. Sometimes I think it's twitching nerves or something too. But Jess is nearly 9m.o and I am still feeling it! I too want another, but not just yet as 3 under 3 might be a little hard to handle.....

    hi there

I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT I FOUND THIS TOPIC!!!

I thought i was going nuts - mine only started in the last 4-6weeks and DS is nearly 7 months - I've even done a pregnancy test as I was sure that there was something odd going on....even went the docs yesterday and enquired about it - she had never heard of this....but then again she doesn't have any kids

Maybe it's because I've been hanging out with girlfriends who are very pregnant and also new borns - or maybe I'm starting to get clucky again - either way glad that I am not going crazy or atleast not anymore than i already was

ROFL @ you girls doing PG tests because you felt kicking!!

I haven't felt phantom kicks as such but everytime that I have a cold drink I wait a sec after the first mouthful fully expecting a flurry of kicks from bubs rofl!! Of course I'm not PG so cold drinks are just making my belly cold - not a baby kick!! Each time I shake my head in amusement at myself hehe!!

No ur not crazy at all Simone....i especially understand what it's like to have a prem bub and wish i was still preg. Some woman can't wait to get that bub out but when u have one that comes early it really makes u appreciate having them safe and close inside u
