Well it's been almost four months for us, and I'm only just beginning to contemplate it! My episiotomy has taken ages to heal, with granuloma removal and silver nitrate etc so I haven't been brave enough. Think I might go there soon though, DH is getting quite toey! I think I just want to get it over and done with now, and know if it's going to hurt or not, but I really have no interest in DTD itself. I feel like a bad wife!

We tried at about 6wks but there was no way I was going there just not interested and not comfortable. Took us ages and ages before it was comfortable I found that BF sucked all spare moisture out of my body and there was none left for down there!
If I remember rightly it was only recently that I got my vagina back and I was so excited I posted about it in my belly buddies! :redface:
LOL...Dh just read the poll results and is now aiming to be in the top 10%...I'm guessing he means the 0-2 weeks...think we should get pregnant first!!!!
I could only keep DH at bay till right after my 6 week check up. We droped dd off at my mum's and spend the whole afternoon "snuggeling" in each others arms!
wow, some of u have dtd-ed quite early...i'm assuming that ur lochia finished quite fast. :) i'm terrified and ella is 3w4d now and i'm sure if i wanna even try. was just telling dh how petrified i am abt it. heck thinking abt it and i can already feel the pain!! :P my lochia is finishing i think but am just taking my time at the mo coz just when i think i'm done, i see red again. blah!
We r @ 3 wks now n doc says wait til lochia finishes. much less tearing n bruising this time so think as soon as have blood free day....:whip::

We attempted it for the second time today, and it was a success!
I can't actually remember when we did, I think i've been supressing the memory LOL. I think it was around 5 weeks with both, both were c-section and I remember it hurt around my scar pretty bad even though DH was pretty gentle. I also remember being uncomfortable and not too sexy because my boobs were leaking the whole time hehe.
Poor guy only get some once a month if that when i'm pregnant too, i get too uncomfortable

I want to but I don't at the same time.. We barely go to bed at the same time as it is at the moment. Princess knows just when mummy is ready for a sleep :)
It took a while for my stitches to go away, I think they dissapeared at around 5 weeks. We didn't have very successful sex until about 8 weeks after bubs birth. We did however have, well, sex, just not vaginal . . .

It's been 2 weeks since my sons birth no stitches or tears. My husband is already asking to try and i'm scared it will hurt. I've still got a bit of pain and tenderness down below, i need to forget the pain i went through first before he goes near me. I want to dtd and since the last 8 weeks of my pregnancy it was very uncomfortable so i want it all to go back to what it was beforehand.
5 days this time round (was 6 days after our first birth). I didn't tear this time around and literally had started doing my pelvic floors within the first half hour after my waterbirth. I think that contributed to the success of DTD so early? Plus I was super keen as DTD hadn't been successful (so to speak) in the weeks leading up to the birth. Was straight after a shower so lochia wasn't a problem. Was a bit scared and it felt different to usual but still 'worked'.
Ha, now I have little energy or desire.....being a mum of two has kicked in!
it was nearly 3 months as i teared up as well as down and my stitches took a while to heal..was so scared,it was a bit uncomfy at first but it got better and now is better than ever...
We tried the first time after at about 3 weeks but didn't last long it hurt too much then a week later we tried again and i was more relaxed still a bit sore and gets better everytime. But i was very scared and my husband was hassling me a bit to try but they never really understand it takes a while to heal properly
We dtd after 21/2 weeks. After a vag birth with ventouse being cut and tearing internally it was a little uncomfortable. DH was really good, quite happy to wait it was me that tore his clothes off. I wanted it badly after having near no libido for half the pregnancy.

with my 1st i can not remeber, with second i think it was around 6 weeks, but with Lachlan we havent as yet and i must say im not even in the mood. All have been vaginal births with no stitches, quick labours etc.
I think at the moment we are both to exhausted to even think about it, may change on our holidays next week though.
PS i think he is to scared i will fall pregnant again.
it was about 5 weeks post baby... i practically jumped him..lol but he was very considerate... because i knew it would hurt a tad (even after a caesar).. it is still abit sore now (maybe i am not as lubricated?) sorry TMI...
I was almost 3 months because I had a massive scar and was so sore. Also I beld for about 11 weeks.
OMG .. my minimum is 6mths ..

DD1 we waited about a month, DH was pretty turned off after seeing her emerge from there, kwim? Thank God he was off the idea, I needed that time to recover from the swelling, grazing and bruising I suffered...
DD2, I was hell keen to get back in the saddle within just a few days - no swelling, no grazing, I felt like I hadn't even had a baby... DH wasn't turned off this time but we waited till 7 days after the birth just to make sure we weren't going to 'break' anything :)
Then we did it again the other night (3rd time since giving birth) and he forgot to use lube... now I'm sore lol. So sucks to be him, he ain't gettin' it again for a while now, as payback for that.
DS2, 3 weeks to the day after natural birth with 1st degree tear and stitches. All was fine!!
DS1, Around 6 months after suction delivery, ep and manual removal of placenta, then D&C at 12 weeks to remove retained products.
with DS it was ages, about 12 weeks or longer ( poor BHL ) but I did have a tere so it HURT and HURT alot...
DD1 I think it was about 3 weeks...
DD2 I cant remember but it would have to be before 4 weeks, but that was only because BHL was going to be away for 6mths so if it wasnt then it would have been a very long time :)

A few weeks I think? Just to see what it was like because I had zero libido for a loooong time after DD was born.
I think it was just under 2 months from memory. I had an episiotomy so got a bunch of lovely stitches.
4-6 weeks has been fairly normal here. Usually when the post-partum bleeding has finished.
3 weeks. It would have been sooner but I was unsure if it was ok to DTD earlier.
Still haven't and we are 12 weeks pp
DD1 was 2 weeks PP and DD2 was 3 weeks PP :)
We are nearly 10 weeks PP and I am in no way near ready, thanks to tearing everywhere and some serious scar tissue :(
We DTD just over 2 weeks postpartum and that was after a c section...
Needless to say - I needed pain killers straight after!
It hurt like crazy :S

5.5 months and counting :((( we tried once but just didn't happen, I know I wasn't ready but just wanted to get the 'first time' outta the way. I feel so so bad for my DP :( I have no physical excuse, I had an elective c-section, I know mine is all mental and i have no idea where to go from here. The longer I leave it the harder it's going to be :(((
I think it was somewhere around 6 weeks? I had a tear that took awhile to heal, then got infected, and had such bad bfing issues I was just so tired and "not into it" until about then
About 6 weeks both times. Both times I was waiting on a script for the mini pill so I got it at my 6 week check up. I couldn't be bothered making an appointment to get it earlier (and quite frankly, wasn't in the mood!)
