Has anyone ever heard of this...?

Okay this one is strange... at least I think it is

On my left thigh about half way up I have a lovely little patch on my thigh that feels like it is bruised. Sometimes it aches but most of the time it just feels like a normal everyday bruise. The problem... is that there is no bruise and that I've had this 'patch' every since I gave birth to Em. I've been complaining to DP that I've damaged my muscle lol and he said I should ask on here (he's a smart man - shoulda thought of that one myself lol). I do know that when I pushing Em out the midwifes were holding my legs and my left leg did alot of twitching/jumping.

So any takers... because I've got no idea what it is and I keep forgetting to mention it to the Dr

    Thanks girls.

My friend had a similar problem when she was pregnant and from what ive been told she now has this permanantly (note: she has had 6 babies in 5 years) so is prolly always preggy so has no idea, but she too has complained that its like a permanant bruise and is always pretty irritating, which leads me to believe its a pregnancy thing, pretty useless info heh, but hope it helps

Lea, did you have an injection in that spot at all? I had a penicillin injection when having Paige and it hurt like the blazes for ages afterwards.

Not sure when your bub was born, but I found the spot where I got the Oxytocin jab, to release the placenta, was tender like a bruise for 10 weeks post-delivery. There was also a small lump at the site. Don't know if that helps.

Lea, I'd mention that one to your GP. I am not sure what it could be, but occasionally I also get an area on my leg that stings when you touch it. Yet there is nothing there? Puzzles me too!!!

I remember getting a painkiller shot in my thigh when I was about 16yo? There was about a 50c spot that hurt and was actually numb for about 5y or so. Even now I dont have alot of sensation in that spot.
So I would put my money on the jab for Oxytocin jab

I've been thinking about it and I can't remember the leg still but I know the oxytocin had to be done twice because the first lot didn't go in for some reason (I think I flinched?). Oh well at least I have some idea now!

I bet they've hit a nerve Nat - or didn't put the injection deep enough into the muscle.
